Revival Bar and Event Venue

Great venue for small concerts. Comfortable table & chair and bench seating, tastefully decorated and clean. There is no food on premises however many take-out choices close by that you could bring food in and eat, large bar with many choices.

I have to congratulate the management dillegent efforts to reduce alcohol consumption on premises by charging $9 for a bottle of domestic beer and $11 for imports. Consequently no line up for bar service. Great venue for music with lots of on and off street pay parking in vicinity.

Always a pleasure going to events at Revival. Staff are courteous, respectful, and very professional. Washrooms sometimes leave something to be desired, however, that is as much on the patrons as the venue (it's wild that so many grown adults haven't been potty trained and are outright bathroom savages)

The sound at Revival is absolutely rubbish. Desperately in need of an upgrade. Fun place but don't expect anything from the sound other than a headache.

They don't have food, only drinks. Small place but good enough for an indoor concert.

The Halloween 80s themed event was terrible - DJ didn’t play anything good, audio sucked and songs were wayyyy to slow (like cmon man in the mirror for Halloween? Where’s thriller?). Every single song they would interrupt to tell people to buy drinks which were too expensive

The crowd was amazing. Everyone was friendly ans cane just for a good time. Bomb djs. What a sound he brings.

I really like revival, great environment and good people. Love that there are bathrooms at the front and the back of the club, but don’t like that it’s a $40 minimum on debit at the bar now. So be sure to bring cash!

Been coming here for around 20 years. The Main Ingredient, Dj Starting from Scratch, Back in tha Day, Break for Love, Sky's the Limit Charity events, off the top of my head.

Chances are if you are reading this you have looked at an event and want to see what this place is all about.

Solid classy place. Not your typical nightclub. Bouncers are cool. Front doors are welcoming. Staff is good. Owner has done a great job overall in keeping good events that attract the right crowds coming here.

See an event you like, go freely and most of all Enjoy! Great spot!

Great looking venue! The old church building really adds a Gothic feel. Went there to see Virtual Riot, will definitely go again!

Went here for the Something Strange Oddities market and loved it.

Although the venue was a little small for all the vendors, it was a fantastic display of the dark, the weird, the magical, and everything in between.

Would recommend it to anyone looking to host dance lessons, musical performances, and social get togethers.

One of the few venues that still provides a comfortable atmosphere for hip-hop and underground culture. Love this venue.

Really fun venue! The stage is tall enough to be visible from all over the room. But low enough to still be intimate. The bartenders are fast and knowledgeable. I will be back.

Quite literally one of the worst ‘club’ venues in Toronto. Security does not know how to manage the line ups, he had to be told on how to do his job. Drinks are sub par and music is disappointing. Skip this place hard and go to bar Isabel few doors down!

Had an epic night. My gf lost her cell, they found it and brought it back, then we lost our pixie whip, a week later we go back and they still had it! Such good people. Such a beautiful venue. Looking forward to more good times

I like how the bouncers at the door talk to you as a human being. Yes drink are overpriced but yea.

Went for a comedy show it was nice to get back out after being locked in for so long, space was set up well with a lot of space between the tables

Some drinks were more expensive and were not all that good tbh.

Other wise its a very cool place and I had a fun time.

This can be a great night out. Really depends on the party posted. They have to dance floors, one smaller and one larger. In a great neighbourhood. Audience varies depending Night out.

This is a great venue for a big party that takes the whole venue, but I went to an electronic show here - the sound was not good, coat check and the bathrooms are in the same tiny hallway so both are hard to get to. There was something else going on downstairs. I guess there aren't a lot of venues left, so this place isn't too bad. Not my favorite, by any means.

There always seems to be a great vibe here. I have been here for a corporate event, New Year's Eve, and a DJ event and all have been great.

HIGHLY underrated venue with fantastic programming and a very intimate atmosphere. You do not want to miss a show here as the sound system is superb, the vibe is excellent staff are friendly and the management is second to none.

Amazing performers but one of the bartenders refused to serve me a glass of water because apparently, I have to pay for it. Ridiculous! I hope he’s aware that it’s illegal to refuse serving people glass of water since he’s serving alcohol for god’s sake. The only time people should be paying for water is if they want it in the bottle. I’ve been to this place a few times and most of the bartenders are nice.

Feb 1,2020 - warm with some snow - I went for the night of "Suah" for a friends birthday. It was a packed night. Coatcheck had no more hangers even though they did have space. Many people were stuck with their coats. Including one of my friend which she lost it in the venue.

I was looking for the coat. I was asking one of the servers of table service and she told me to wait as she had a shot with the other two bartenders. She comes to me after I call her and I ask her if the venue has a lost and found or a place where they would put stuff on the floor. She responded by stating that I will have to wait 30 min so that the place gets cleared out and start searching. Not a very useful answer however there was truth on her words bit my friend's item was still lost. We eventually gave up on the coat, it was probably stolen.

I went to the bar at the end of the night to ask for water for my friends and myself. The female bartender was getting ready to leave before the guests in the venue. She dismissed me by gesturing me they were closed. Of course I knew they were closed I was asking for water. She would have known if she would have not assumed what I wanted. Immediately after, both bartenders had a nightcap and left with people still in the venue and with their mess on the bar. I CONSIDERED THIS VERY RUDE.

The bar backs came from a door and started cleaning the mess. They were more useful than the bartenders since they were handing out water to whoever requested it.

NOT IMPRESSED BY THE SERVICE however the latin music was great and the venue was really good at holding a great amount of people

Great spot went for New Year’s Eve last minute at my age group nice find a place to go that caters to my age as well as others not just for the university students etc just attempting to enjoy my New Years, front staff/bouncers they were very accommodating regardless even though it was extremely busy and last minute, did the count down in line, was good crowd, reasonable prices, great music old school 90s mixed with the current music, good vibe, nice atmosphere, good spot for my age group, only stayed a short time just few drinks about an hour great music! Though as I was exhausted at my age lol
Definitely a great spot to relax and fun in the city, highly recommend, caters to many age groups, singles, couples, girls nite out etc.

I attended a burlesque show called ice kweens.

The bartender could have engaged more with guests, but there was a show going on to be fair

Small establishment but the crowd that comes here blew me away. I feel very connected with being close with the performer and all the people around me. Staff was great too, bartenders and security all seemed to be happy to be there

This place has 3 floors. Each with its own DJ, bar and dance floor. Nice place to go dancing, loved the music.

Not sure how the mens bathroom is but good luck if you're a woman. 2 of the 3 stalls dont lock and 1 is almost aways out of order. This has not changed in a year

The show I saw was really good. There always feels a disconnect with the audience and the stage at this venue. It seems like it is too far away.

Luv'd the event I attended, Motown theme. It is a great place for special events, large bar the length of the space & a stage at the back. Sound is good with the volted ceiling, depends on the performance & DJ. The Motown show had dancers on stage which worked well for the theme. Bathrooms are a bit small and the parking can be tricky as it is the plaza next door, cost $20. Transit is available & restaurants in the neighborhood.

I had a great time dancing at this establishment. The bare wooden floor makes it so that when all participants are moving to the beat simultaneously, you can feel the downbeat of the music. It's almost as though the floor jumps. I went to a Swingrowers concert / swing dance event, and it was magic from start to finish.

Called to confirm what time guest list ended and was given wrong information. Showed up 5 minutes after it ended with a bachelorette party and wasnt allowed. Staff was not helpful or nice about. Went somewhere else.

This bar is a very old place they have some great events there which I've been to I enjoyed the events however he really needs some renovations to make the place look nicer and I think it would attract a different crowd if they did that and maybe upgrading their menu and putting more lighting in the place so it's a little brighter to enjoy.

Went here for the 80s night and the event had some amazing dancing!
I'm a little put off that this is one of the venues with no locks on the mens washroom doors though.

Good vibe, good music, good drinks, be prepared to stand for the whole night unless you booked one of the booths!
Had to make it two stars due being given a very dirty glass to drink water out of

This place sucks. The security guards use their power. I don't ever wait in lines especially in winter are you kidding me. We waited because it was our friends birthday and were notified by the security guys that even if we were on guest list we have to wait for 5-10 minites in line. After the wait in cold weather for 15 minutes we had to deal with the rudest security guard who flexed his powers. I will never spent my money or go there ever. There so many other and better places in Toronto.

We did not bypass the line. And we did notify the security person that we are on guest list and waited in line as per their request. I do host large events in Toronto and am aware of how the venues work. Also, profanity by your security is unexpectable.

Cool vibe, they play a lot of old school hip hop. $20 cover and $9 drinks. Crowd is like 25-40ish yrs old. Good time, would go there again!

We live near by and were excited to try this place. But the front hostess girl (zaine) was so mean to us and rude. She had long brown hair and called us Arab and Weird. So rude and not fun. Would not recommend.

Went to a really fun amateur burlesque competition here. Was in the back of the bar and they had a pretty good amount of seats and speedy bar service. Will be going back

I love this place, as a musician I've been on that state many times and it never gets old! Lovely crew!
