Rexdale Community Health Centre

I had an appointment to see a certain doc. I didn't even know until later, that is not the doc who examined me.

Then, not 1 or 2, but THREE different docs associated with mental health who I don't like. 1 argued with me, (nice way to help a severe trauma sufferer!) and the who have treated me like I don't matter, my time doesn't mean anything. 1 called me 1.5 HOURS after our appointment time, and the other DIDN'T CALL AT ALL!

I went there on Tuesday jan 4 2022 and got tested because I have symptoms, I live with young children and today is Saturday the 8th and my results still not up seems like my test wasn't even send in to be tested, I am very disappointed. I kept checking everyday for results and nothing.

The worst service ever. These people do not value your time and show up late when they are the ones who book your appointment. Extremely disorganized. Needs serious improvements all-around.

I called to book an appointment and the receptionist said my address does not belong to their area, and I live 5 minutes from them. Even I have the letter from the doctor and they recommend me to go there.

The reception staff is extremely unprofessional. My daughter came yesterday and she had a terrible experience with the lady in reception staff. Stop judging people based on their physical looks and beliefs!

The service at the Pharmacy is horrible. The pharmacist with the black hair is very rude and racist. I over heard her being extremely rude to a woman and her children trying to fill their prescription. I spoke to the lady after she walked out of the pharmacy who was explaining to her children they would go elsewhere to fill their prescriptions. I found out she actually works here. I have witnessed the staff here being rude, disrespectful to clients often, and no matter how much you complain nothing is done. That woman with the black hair is a racist because she referred to the woman as a monkey and "N" word. I should complain but white privilege will overshadow the right thing to do which is reprimand her, I fact fire her!

If i could give them 0 starts I would. The worse service ever, have been going there for years and staff is getting lazier and lazier by day. Called to book an appointment was put on 11 min hold, just so that MEDICAL secretary could say we have no appointments go to walk in? If i wanted to go into walk in center i would of done it long time ago! Why do I have a doctor/ nurse practitioner if I am unable to see them? I dont know who is in charge there but front needs major work, staff at the front taking appointments are absolutely useless maybe its time to fire them all and get animated machine at least the service would be justified!

I have attended pre/postnatal classes there, now I am enrolling in feeding with love program. All the programs by far has been so wonderful. The sessions is so informative and helpful for both new and experienced mothers. They also provide snacks, ttc tokens, groceries and $10 gift card for parents regardless of your income status. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

My mother is 85 and is an active member of the Rexdale Community Health Centre. She attends exercise classes on a weekly basis and is currently enrolled in a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy session for Caregivers. I cannot praise the Centre or its' staff enough. When we have been unable to organize transportation for her via Wheel Trans the Centre has made alternate arrangements to get her from her home to the classes. Wendy, the manager, has helped us to navigate a variety of care options for both my mom and her husband and has ensured through vigorous followup that the appropriate Care Coordinators conduct home visits and assessments. There is no doubt in my mind that the Rexdale Community Health Centre, its' staff and Wendy in particular contribute greatly to my moms mental and physical well-being.

This is a wonderful place for all. I am a mother of twins and am enrolled in various programs in this hub. Feeding with love is one of the program that I attend regularly. This program guides me about the feeding and solves many of my queries about feeding, child safety, growth etc. We also get food to eat and are provided with TTC tokens and $10 gift card each time. Its a community activity so we meet a lot of parents and interact with each other. The staff is excellent, very caring and understanding. My kids are always taken care of and I eagerly wait for Wednesdays. I would highly recommend this program for everyone.

Most unprofessional staff. Work starts 9am- no one to take appointments because the staff is not available. Staff's comprehension of English is debatable. Constant transfers to other hubs-voicemails constantly. Needs improvement.

I am thankful for my experience here at RCC. Through the continued guidance and support I have received from this centre my life has slowly transformed over time. Professional and knowledgable staff like Shabnam, Eden and Bianca have provided excellent care during extremely difficult times of my life. Knowing people and support centres like this are out there in the community make weathering any storm possible.
Please reach out to this centre because they help in A big way.

What kind of community centre has no basketball drop in? No open gym? Not much of a community centre to me.

Funny, all positive comments come from staff of the rexdale community center.if you are actual patient you will not give them 5 stars, you would give 0 if possible.
So.where do i start?

From incompetent staff that cant take or pass message to the staff or that they refuse to do their job?

1) lets see for past week i have been calling to see my nurse practitioner and have finally secured place. I am now suffering from severe bacterial infection that could of been dealt with 7 days prior and i would of had less pain and itching.

2) the fact that you can never get same person to treat you is another concern.notes in computer are seldom read by staff and when you do get opportunity to see someone else they will just ask you what medication to give you!? Or how were you treated by previous physician?
hell if i had PHD and was a doctor i would have no need for rexdale community center.

3) Shelly Clarke, is amazing nurse practitioner, however, she is so overworked that she can never see her patients when they request to see her.
Personally, I prefer Shelly over anyone else in that office, she is punctual, willing to work with her patients no matter how difficult they are. She is the only positive outcome in the whole mess called REXDALE COMMUNITY CENTRE!

I've been seeing Eden for therapy for years now and it has really made a difference. I would recommend to everyone I know!

The service is great. Most reception staff are friendly and helpful. Yvette always has a smile on her face ready to help, Dr Sookhai is very professional ans always ensures she gives all necessary information to her patients.

Excellent services the reception is great, friendly staff members, good and detailed health care services. I have recommended and would continue to do so.
