Ricarda's Restaurant Café Event Venue

We held our wedding reception at Ricarda's in August 2023 and were so happy with how everything turned out.

First off, Zoe and Michelle were phenomenal to work with. They were so patient with all my questions and did their best to accommodate our requests. They were very professional and super quick to respond.

On the wedding day, everything was setup perfectly and the waiters were great. The venue is stunning and the food was phenomenal - our guests are still raving about it. They accommodated all dietary restrictions well. The chef also accommodated some last minute requests and made a special hot sauce for us at the request of the groom. They were very attentive all night to us and all the guests.

Special shout out as well to the bathroom attendant who kept the bathrooms pristine (there were maybe 8 stalls for 230 people and at no point in the night did the bathrooms look dirty).

Highly recommend having your weekend here!

I went to Ricarda’s for brunch on my 20th birthday.it was the worst birthday ever! All my friends ditch me the very last minute when my mother already made the reservation for 6 people and only two people showed up and the other two cancelled on me the very last minute and the day off. I remembered when I went home I burst into tears. I felt so hurt and my heart was broken. When I was at Ricarda’s I ordered avocado salmon toast. It tasted horrible. I went there again and I had duck with fries. It was horrible and it wasn’t really that good. The place looks nice. Customer service was good. But the food wasn’t really good. But I’m never going there again!

Was here for a wedding, and not so much the restaurant. My partner and I were the lone vegans at the wedding and received something quite disappointing in terms of food… we know this event was set as a meat centric experience and not about our basic plant based needs. At least there was some beyond delicious offerings as appetizers that made up for the lacklustre dinner.

The event staff was incredible and attentive. Highlight of the visit.

The unisex bathrooms were cleaned regularly, and funnily enough were another highlight of the night!

The lack of a ceiling absorbing materials makes the dining room incredibly loud. If you have trouble hearing, this may not be the place for you.

Love their weekend brunch! So tasty and staff so helpful and friendly. Great dining experience.

Venue, beautiful. Live music, a treat. The server, friendly. Beyond that, cannot and will not ever recommend. A single vegan item (chia pudding) on the menu (which they were all out of), no suggestion of anything creative or alternative that the kitchen could put together. Food for others in our party was disappointing. Garlic fries, home fries and burger were cool. Lattes weren't even lukewarm. And at a table with kids, it's unacceptable for food service to take 45 minutes and be so substandard, especially when the restaurant is not full. Really looked forward to brunch there but were hugely, hugely disappointed.

Although I cannot attest for the restaurant I must say that Ricardas Bakery is delightful. Their croissants and chai tea lattes are splendid. The croissants are always fresh, buttery and moist. The chai tea latte was just right with notes of cardamom and spices. The building itself is very nice and well lit. A great place to grab a mid day pick me up. The person who attended to me was also very vibrant and friendly and gave me amazing treat suggestions. Do note that everything is on the pricier side. If you ever want to splurge it’s a nice place to check out.

Went for jazz brunch, food was amazing and vanessa was lovely! Just be aware though just because it’s brunch doesn’t mean that it’s relaxed, it’s quite loud in there

Been coming here for Father’s day brunch for years…always looked forward to it as an annual tradition but they got rid of the brunch buffet (looks like they do it once a month, why not on father’s day?)

the food has become mediocre, good but nothing amazing or “wow” like it used to

the service…. Shockingly bad.sat at our table with a 2 year old and 5 year old, had to ask for crayons and colouring page (they are by the hostess, why not bring them right there when we are clearly with little ones?)

had to ask for a high chair…again why wasn’t this offered?

sat for nearly 20 min before i had to finally wave someone down to take our order

not once did someone ask if we wanted a refill of our waters or coffee

place was half empty, would understand if it was packed.unfortunately this may be the end of an annual tradition.shame.positive: ambiance is still great and jazz band is always welcomed

Nice atmosphere. Food was good but service was very slow. Took an hour for the food to come. The burger was a great option.

Never write reviews on restos but the service here is a joke. Told the us the happy hour ran until 11, pushed extras and then proceeded to charge us full price for the lot. Avoid like the plague

Food is just decent here, drinks as well. Unfortunately the deciding factor was just the rude waiter that was assigned to our table. Ambiance of the place is obviously great, i suppose it's a good place for that, but food wise, i definitely didn't see anything special. Combined with the lack luster service, i would not recommend to go here.

Great place for brunch!

Rating is not 5 starts due to an unpleasant staff we came across at when we tried to go in last Sunday and they have an event that will be happening that day. We just walked in to ask if they were open for brunch as we were unaware of the event but this lady was so unpleasant and looked at us with a dirty/judgemental look. Will still come back for food but only if they’re visibly not hosting an event.

The cafe has a sign saying Toronto’s Best Croissant. However, the almond croissant I ordered was a bit underwhelming. It was not as flaky as I imagined and the whole thing was a bit dense. May be I had too much expectation but when they charged over $10 for a croissant and cappuccino, I expected more. The cafe did have a relaxing atmosphere but there are other places better than this.

Great food, portions ok. Great service, accommodating for kids shenanigans, very pricey for a la carte brunch.

Rude server told us they were closed upon arriving, even though the place was full of people (still many places left empty). The website also says they’re open. We weren’t dressed like going to the met gala and I think that was the problem. She said « are you looking for something?  » when we entered.

Could not recommend enough for a brunch spot. Food was perfect, atmosphere was excellent. 6/5 stars.

It's been a long while since I've loved a place for brunch this much. The atmosphere is cozy with an open kitchen concept that doesn't distract but adds to the experience. There was live instrumental music - not too loud, just right for the AM. The food? Chef's kiss, it's so good. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the banana bread french toast we split for the table after. Our hostess was amazing! I will definitely be coming back:)

I went with my Fiancé and best friend for the champagne brunch and was blown away. Not only was the vibe amazing, the buffet and main were so delicious. It was definitely worth the money and left extremely full! The staff are super nice and knowledgeable. Can’t wait for the next event!

Had a great brunch here! The jazz duo were wonderful - they sounded amazing and really made the brunch special. Will definitely be returning!

One of my new fav brunch spots in the city! I love that you can make reservations and there’s plenty of seating. What makes this place stand out is the food quality. I had eggs Benny and the sauce was delicious, the muffin was toasted which I appreciated and salad was very fresh. The nice atmosphere is also a big plus.

Ricarda's has this new remote work program where you can book a work spot from Monday to Friday. This is an amazing program for remote workers to get some work done, get lunch, coffee and even meet other remote workers. Highly recommend Ricarda's for lunch, coffee or getting work done.

Our waitress was excellent, friendlyand attentive! The atmosphere chic and the food was good. Lemon pancakes were good, almost like a cake and the shakshura was also very good.

I would go back for another brunch!
