Rice Road Greenhouses have a large variety of plants to choose from. Everything from cactus, succulents, palm trees, annuals, perennials, cedars and trees. If you need plants, hit this place up! You will not be disappointed!

Very large, well -maintained facility with many, many plants. This place is massive and has many choices for your garden as well as premade planters. There is an abundance of trees, greenery and perennials. As well, they carry succulents and tropical plants for indoors, and annuals when in season.

There is a great gift shop in the front with a small Cafe. As well, you will find planters, pots and a accessories for the garden.

Even though I have visited quite a few times, I had never walked to the back of the property. I decided to check it out today and was surprised to find an enclosure with chickens, ducks and peacocks, as well as a small pond with a fountain.

Definitely worth a visit!

I came for the plants, but there is an amazing coffee bar just inside the main door!

Palms Coffee Bar - great coffee and some pastries. And a shelf of books to peruse!

I had the peanut butter and chocolate latte - designed by the owner - and the lemon oat bun. Wonderful!

Great place with an unreal selection. From plants to soil they have it all. They have a fantastic bulk yard with a variety of soils and stone aswell. Delivery is incredibly reasonable as well!

If you are in Niagara Falls city or near by location and looking for plants and garden items then this is a excellent place to visit. The outdoor decor and summer accessories are excellent and It has some unique outdoor decors. I have never seen such a beautiful items and the green house is huge and excellent.
We brought a outdoor fountain and the quality and price was great.

Went there for the 1st time last month. Enjoyed browsing and seeing all the beautiful stuff they sell. I could spend a lot of time walking around. Prices a little too steep for me. Website could be more helpful. Staff is friendly and helpful. They need some training in dealing with their own errors.

They had a few 50% off signs all over the front yard. When a client took a planter in for the 50% off he was denied with the excuse that one was not 50% off. The planter was right by the sign. They told him the sign was wrongly placed. They did not give him at the reduced price which was bad as it was their fault. Then they went and moved the sign. He told them since it was their fault (and it was all their fault) for the wrongly placed signs they should have given him at the reduced price then remove the signs. They refused. Not good customer service. I told them I agreed with the client but they did not care, just said sorry they can’t do that.

Very nice and big nursery. A lot of tropical and perennial plants, and garden decor. Well worth a visit if you are in Niagara region.

I’m new to the area. They have an amazing selection. The staff is knowledgeable and were a big part of the positive overall experience!

This year, I purchased all of my flowers and herbs from Rice Road Greenhouse. They've taken to their pots very nicely. I did find that the larger containers for plants are at the first sections of the greenhouse, while the smaller containers.and less expensive.are located towards the back of the greenhouses. There is a huge variety, and some of the large planters that are for sale are really beautiful! Staff were VERY friendly and helpful.

Not impressed with the service! Last time I will go there! It use to be a well managed a few years back but now I think they will just hire anybody without training!

I am absolutely disgusted and saddened by this place! They are exploiting baby bunnies and keeping them in small cages. Bunnies are not caged animals, they need space to run and binky! Either research how to properly take care of domestic bunnies or surrender them to a rescue.

Was given a price on the phone but product was higher price at store and they never price matched and came close to calling me a leier.

I’ve been going to Rice Road Greenhouses (RRG) since my husband and I moved here a little over 6 years ago. For 5 years, customer service was ok, prices were ok, selection fantastic. I loved it there.

I went there last year. I usually go a few times a season to pick up shrubs, hanging baskets, a few annuals. Last year, the selection of White Impatient New Guineas’ was terrible. I asked if they were getting more in and they said hopefully. I decided to move on and get some Hydrangeas; ok selection. I got what I wanted. Unfortunately, I forgot a cart, saw an employee and asked him if there were any carts that perhaps someone left without putting back. He said to go to the front to get one and rushed off. Not impressed at all. So back I went to get a cart having to leave my shrubs. Hopefully no one would take them. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.

First and last time going there this year. We went there last week. Terrible customer service. Not to mention the awful area where shrubs are placed. I wanted a couple of hydrangeas. Watch your step or you’ll trip. Rotted wood on either side of the area, large patio slab where my husband stepped to get the hydrangeas. It’s been like this for a long time. One would think with all the money RRG brings in they’d spend some of it fixing things up. I also wanted some perennial purple flowers and hostas. We saw a few hostas, not what I wanted, so I asked an employee. She said down there under the awning before you get to the end. It wasn’t a really busy day with a lot of customers. One would think she’d take the time to walk us to where the hostas were. Not what I wanted. Check out wasn’t busy at all. Not a great area, it’s very small to push the cart and manoeuver it to cash out the exit.

Do not go here. Their soil is bad quality, several smushed plants, plants not even in pot when i received them, no roots, and rotten plants. Deplorable business practices.

Worst garden centre I've been to. They should learn how to take care of plants before selling shriveled, yellow ones on display and learn that the proper care of rabbits requires hay at all times. There are so many better centres in the region. I bought nothing and won't return

A great selection of plants and pots as well as bulk yard items. Regular sales and very friendly staff. Love the convenience of ordering online.

Not sure if I'm missing something. We drove there for about 2 hours and there was nothing but small succulents and ric rac cactus. Everything including the tropicals were all yellowing from not being watered and looks to be in terrible state. Prices are higher than Vermeers just down the road. Very disappointed with our experience.

Love this place! Redid my gardens this spring and i'm in love with them. I didn't think i could form an emotional connection with a tree but Rice Road made it happen. Lauren helped me choose out all my gardens as i have a difficult time visualizing. She was incredible!

This is my favourite greenhouse to shop at. They have an extensive range of tropical houseplants, succulents, rare plants, and garden plants. The have tons of decorative pots and special potting mixes for certain plants. Staff are always very helpful and there are plenty of sales.

The selection of plants were amazing. I loved all the succulents available. I live in Brampton but will be travelling here from now on for all my plant needs.

Wonderful garden centre with every type of plant you can imagine and an excellent supply of tropical plants too. They also have an indoor area displaying garden fountains and statuary. This was my first visit here, but I'll come again without a doubt.

Love Rice Road! They're a little pricey compared to some other places, but I always find exactly what I'm looking for.and many more surprises that I didn't even know I wanted! Great selection, easy layout.

I made my first purchase from Rice Roads recently after hearing such great things about their greenhouse and plants.

I received my order only to find that one of the products purchased was half the size advertised and the other plant was on it way out with root rot. After reaching out to their team I was met with some sarcastic remarks stating how the plants received were better than the ones advertised… which was not the case and not the response I felt was warranted by a customer service team.

After some back and forth and more follow up on my end I was provided a reimbursement thankfully but felt that something needed to be said about how they handled the situation.

This will be my first and last time placing an order with Rice Roads Greenhouses.

My family has bought products from Rice Road for 40 years. I recently moved back to Welland in my late 50's and have spent $300 + at Rice Road this season because I love to support local and I have always trusted their business acumen. However, today I went to purchase rhubarb plants and the ones available were horrendous (undersized, full of weeds) and $20 per 1 gal pot. I asked for a deal and was told only %50 off. I was willing to take the chance to revive these sad little plants in my garden, but for only $5 each. I was denied. Walked out.

This place is absolutely huge and offers a wide ranges of plants. The price is a bit higher though and thats the only downside

This was a nursery that came highly recommended from a friend. We went on Mother's Day weekend and it was awful. Rice Roads has a cafe offering coffee beverages for purchase right when you enter, to which several customers made the purchase, however, rather than taking that coffee outside, customers were walking around with it and drinking it. This cafe was brand new and just opened. Several staff members were not masked and it looked like these staff were of upper management level. There was no capacity control within the store so it was pure chaos and clearly over limit Opening a cafe inside a store during a pandemic with no guidelines on redirecting consumers to take it outside is a blatant disregard of our current pandemic situation. No enforcement of masks and socially distancing. The short 10 minutes we were in there we observed several unmasked staff chatting with unmasked customers within a close proximity. This is unacceptable and I'm truly shocked that Rice Roads has been allowed to operate the way it has. It's very appalling to experience and witness a business with no safety concerns to protect their customers. Will never go back because of such lack of care, visiting it once is already too much.

With time comes change.i miss the time when rice road was a family feeling business. Although the staff are very pleasant, the prices could use a bit of adjustment.

I ordered garden soil for delivery. I asked for the delivery to be made first thing in the morning for the following day and the lady agreed. Paid for it with CC over the phone. The next day at 11am i had already expected the dirt to arrive, after calling multiple times a lady finally answers and she explains they cannot guarantee any time frame for deliveries. The delivery arrives at 5: 30pm. There was a 10'x12' tarp laid out, larger than necessary for the amount of dirt I had ordered. The dump truck driver pours it half-on half-off the tarp and covers my neighbour's cars tires and leaves without a word. I have delivered dirt from here before and everything was organized. I don't know if it's because coronavirus or some other cause but after this last experience I will not be returning for some time.

I looked across Canada for a specific plant, and only found it in this shop in Welland, Ontario. I live in British Columbia.

They did everything they could to find a way to safely get it to me. That may sound like something small, but they took special time in what is (hopefully) a busy Christmas season to figure out how to pack it and who could get it to me.

Tropical plants were all priced incorrectly, I asked to speak the the manager to figure out why the prices were incorrect and the prices were not being honoured but the manager refused to speak to me. I used to love Rice Road but I will not be giving them my business again as long as they are unable to correctly price their plants and fix their mistakes.

Great place! Incredible selection of tropicals at reasonable prices. It was hard to find someone that is knowledgeable in tropicals but that could be due to the holiday season with additional inexperienced staff

This garden centre is one of my favourites! They have a huge selection of plants of a large variety, all very healthy. I went there for the first time this summer and most of my collection is from there (I have over 75 plants so far). The staff members are helpful and they respond promptly. They are also active on social media platforms so you can see what's in store or what to expect next before making a trip.

This place is awesome. I went in the fall and they have alot of nice perennials at 25 and 50% off. They also have a huge variety of house plants. Tons of succulents, snake plants, calathes, rubber tree, palms, peperomias, alocasia ect. I had been looking for a burle and ornata calathea for so long and finally found them here!

LOVE THIS NURSERY! I always leave w more than one plant. Super helpful and friendly staff.and they have super cute cats too lol. They always have a huge selection of beautiful healthy plants and all are very reasonably priced. Highly recommended a visit. I look forward to returning again. I visit often

I got a big order shipped. It came packaged so well that nothing has moved! Shipping was fast and well insulated to protect the plants! Not a single root rot (I buy a lot of plants and it’s rare!) I would 100% shop from them again! Two thumbs up!

I love going here and have done so for years. All staff is excellent and always helpful. They are up to date with all trends and have an excellent selection with everything. Prices are good also!

Love this greenhouse! Huge selection of house plants (and outdoor if that's your thing!) at reasonable prices, with some less common varities of plants available. My kids love coming to see the iguana and fish!

Has some nice deals and they have a cute cat, Jerry, whenever we visit we have to visit him and pet him. Although they have a points cars but to be honest I haven't understood how it will benefit us.

Very friendly and helpful staff, we went all the way from kitchener for a beautiful southern magnolia tree. Because of the size of tree it had to be loaded carefully with forklift into SUV, the person who helped us load was very kind and helpful. They also have hardy banana musa basjoo. Thanks to all the staff again.

Great place. The staff even went above and beyond by lending me a wrench when my car battery died.

Excellent Greenhouse / Garden Centre / Nursery - Great selection of trees, plants, unique and decorative garden and patio ornaments. They also have a huge bulk yard for topsoil, mulch, stone and most anything else a person would need regarding landscaping and exterior property improvements. Rice Road Greenhouses have been around such a long time - It's because of quality products and friendly service. I highly recommend them if you live in the Welland, Thorold, Fonthill / Pelham Niagara Region area.

Good place to walk around to get the plants and flowers you need. Also carries all the aux supplies you might need, soil, mulch, stone ect. One stop shopping at a reasonable price.

Very deceiving from the outside but amazing once inside, selection is unbelievable, even at this time of year, and staff is very helpful, bought alot for vegetable garden and flower beds, will be back for more shortly. Prices are reasonable if not better on some items.

Nice selection but very poorly labeled prices. You will see whole rows with the same type of plant and prices clearly above them and then you get to the register and instead of 2.49 for one peppper it's 10$. Unlike other places no loyalty coupons. Will not be going back.

This place is the best garden center in Niagara. Lots of unusual plants. Been going there for twenty years. 5stars all the way.
