Richard & Ruth’s No Frills

I like this local supermarket. The products are affordable and there are many choices~ I won’t want to go to other supermarkets after I come here~

I always pop by, it has everything I need but sometimes can be quite dirty. At the end of the day, its has pretty good prices and you get what you want.

Sometimes the vegetables and salads aren’t the freshest (especially the prepackaged ones, they’re literally turning pink/red)! But other than that, the typical budget finds

Fairly nice store. It's clean and well organized. Most of the shelves were well stocked. The man working the meat counter was very nice and helpful.
They could have had an extra cash open.

I shop here all the time. It's not too bad but you definitely need to check expiry dates on products. I regularly find expired products on their shelves. It's very common at this location.

First Visit to this No frills. Quite a large store. Clean well stocked. Very good produce section. Got what I needed very quickly. The young cashier was very friendly. Like this store. No wait at checkout

The cashier was very friendly and helpful. I made a small purchase but he made me fell my business was appreciated.

Great location close to mini malls and restaurants and in a prime location its across from a high school so good for the cafeteria if they run out of essentials for lunch or breakfast

This store is clean the staff is nice and helpful as well as things are kept nicely and stored properly

I would suggest that they get more red meat selections in at the butcher area but other than that everything is perfect I love it here

This is so far the best NoFrills I have ever been to. Even the Duffrin Mall NoFrills can't compete this store. Pharmacy is sooo big. There is a fishtank, a butcher shop. So well organized, well stocked on sale items. Clean and bright.

No social distance, groups of customers just pick up the meat which was on sale, employee not even care, owner need to teach employees have to response and know how have to behave to customer.

Omg are you guys closing up produce was empty shelfs were empty when it was John's no frills it was good never seen a no frills like discussing I guess franchises are given out to anybody or is the lease up for your contract I will never step back in that store again even cashier said people are complaining about the store get your act together

Everything is great Clean, open, what I need etc Only downside is that cashier lanes are super long? Expect to spend more time standing in line than you di shopping.
I try to get as little as possible so I can use the 12 or less and still spend 30 mins in line looking at deodorant. This store needs a self checkout. How does it not have a self checkout yet?

Not impressed they never have sufficient stock on hand, they are always running out.seems to be servicing one group of clients only

Good cashiers
Low quality of meat and chickens

Showed up this morning at 8: 05 am, waited for nearly 20 minutes to cash out. 1 cashier working. Really, the poor lady working called for all cashiers to the front 5 times and for the manager 2 times. When I finally got cashed out there were 20-25 people in the line.poor schedule planning on the managers part.

I dont recommend this store. Poor customer service with rude staff. Cashiers and manager are unprofessional with Creditor manner attitude. It's a big mistake shopping from this store.

Usually my go to place but cam never get the items I want. It's best to go earlier in the week when everything is fully stocked.

The worst customer service I have ever seen. I visit No Frills on highway 7 and warden, 8601 Warden Ave, Markham, ON L3R 0B5 on Wednesday, July 07,2021.

Cashier and supervisor was super rude, I got the skinless chicken breast bone-in and I wanted to price match with the same thing at food basic. When I show the advertisement to the cashier, she said I can't do it. She passed me to the other cashier, and he said it's not the same product, I told him I want to talk with your manager. He called someone. After 15 minutes someone came (Rag) and I asked are you manager? He said yes. He said I can't  do the price match, I was surprised and upset. I told that I want to call the head office because I know the policy, then he (rag) said I'm not the manager. He was kidding me, then he called the manager. Finally, manager (Chris) came. I explain that I have the advertisement and I want to price match with this, but he denied my request. First he said they are not the same after I show him they are the same he told in the  picture of advertise there are 4 but yours is 5! I told him that it's based on weight not quantity. The advertisement is per kg, not per breast. Again he said no they are not the same (picture are not the same!) and I can't do this. While the advertisement description and product I got were the same. I do this all the time. This is no frills policy that they do the price match and this branch denied doing this. They waste my time, stressed me with their attitude and unprofessional behaviour. They don't care about the customers.

Been to this grocery for past 5 years even during covid. Very good, clean, friendly, organized Nofills. My favorite one for sure! The staff here are very nice:)

The strip plaza where this store is situated is at a major crossroads, though it is mostly patronized by locals. Aside from being easy to reach, navigating through was typical for its chain, though the frozen shelves were mostly situated along the perimeter. Seafood and deli were along the back though not tucked away from sight. I only wish there were self-checkouts installed, but fortunately the lines were not as long as in other locations.

Always out of stock on lots of stock. Bread section is terrible, no freash breads or buns. Vegi section is always a hit or miss. Standard staples are ok at a good price. The staff are super nice!

Wish they have self check out kiosks available like others No Frilsl. Only 3 cashiers and lining up!

Clean and wide space for shopping. No frills is always the go to for cheap food and essential items. Meat on sale here is amazing. The meat counter is a mix between Asian meat counter and Westen style. They provide both Chinese and English label for the meat counter, and stuff there speak Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

Great selection and prices. Only downside is it does not have a self checkout so with the covid protocols the lineup can be a little long. Luckily I live close so can visit during the odd hours when they are less busy.

Clean store, steady flow of customers but not crowded. Needed to remind some customers to keep their distance. Nice produce, good selection and well stocked. Lots of parking, and lots of inconsiderate drivers. Park far away for your safety.

This is your run of the mill No Fills: large variety of goods at competitive prices. One thing that makes this location better than other's is its roominess.

Very wide and convenient location to get all we need. Opening hours until 9 pm is very useful for many customers including me.

Parmajit the owner is extremely friendly and courteous to deal with. They offer all ranges of mattress. I would highly recommend.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THE MEAT SECTOR!
I seriously suggest that this No Frills location stop working with the meat seller, their meat is poor in quality, and the unethical owner mixes stale meat with fresh meat to reduce expenses. It has happened so many times, otherwise the store is okay.

The meat man is a total snort as well, he literally pretended that he couldn't speak Chinese at first, but when I had a big purchase magic happens lol

We have been shopping at this location for the past 3 years, overall experience was ok, sometimes the fresh produce already turned bad, blueberries/strawberries had mold, the avocado was the worse majority of the time, turned bad and sometimes mold under the skin. Big sale item often went out of stock. We have dealt with the owner previously about their packaged meat not reflecting the right price on the label vs.monitor when checking out, the owner said it is not their problem as that's what was provided to them by the supplier. I think this type of response is quite irresponsible as they are one who source their groceries and they should have the obligation to ensure data is accurate. The worse actually happened to us this past weekend when the cashier gave us disrespectful attitude while they put up the wrong price tag. I am going to report these incidents to the Consumer Protection Ontario.

Good price and willing to do price match; but have problem in stock rotation, expired food are found quite often. The butchers are very helpful and knowledgeable. I miss the Chinese Bakery that used to be there.

Horrible customer service. I brought a product from this location that was expired by 13 days. I spoke to the store manager about it and he said that he will give me $10. I explained that I used the expired product to prepare food worth $24 that is inedible now and he did not care.kept repeating $10 $10 $10 over and over again. This is not how you treat customers. Very disappointing

Well, if store local is won't be beat. Is shouldn't be only for some. For example Foodland is a more expensive store but some of their product price is cheaper and No Frill can't beat that price.

The management needs to hire more cashiers for peak shopping hours. There is no reason why a supermarket should have only 5 cashiers at 6pm when everyone is getting off work to shop in the evening. No Frills has no management around to gauge the needs of the business. Disappointing.not necessary for lines to wrap around to the other end of the front end.

This is my local No Frills but they have let me down today. I was told to wait for 15 minutes for them to confirm a transaction which I have already paid for due to technical difficulties with their system, while they could have cancelled the entire order and scan at another cashier instead. I am not wasting time at a supermarket in such nice weather, it is hugely disappointing that no alternate solution was offered instead of keeping me hanging.
