Last week I purchased a 2019 Subaru Impreza. I had an amazing experience here. Andrew and Michelle are the absolute best! They supplied all the help I could ask for and made my experience super easy. This team is the best I have ever dealt with! I have told numerous people that if they want a car they need to come here. It took me a total of 40 minutes to talk, test drive, and purchase my vehicle! The vehicles they carry are top notch and the staff are welcoming, friendly, helpful, and professional. True 5 star experience!

All I have to say is look for Daniel Powell; Super knowledgable and understanding, he was also patient with me in helping me identify the Subaru model that fitted my needs. He doesn't apply any sales pressure (which made the whole experience super comfortable) and is honest with what he thinks you will need whether you are leasing, financing, or cash purchase.

I had the pleasure of being served by Michael February and I cannot stress how easy he made it for me to purchase my second vehicle. I made a visit to Richmondhill Subaru with my uncle after he had purchased a Forester with the help of Michael back in February and with Mike’s personality and charm I felt extremely comfortable working with him.

Michael gave me a service like I’ve never experienced anywhere else, his customer service is 10/10 and might I add how reasonable and understanding he is. I don’t usually hype up people’s egos the way I am right now for Mike, but he deserves the recognition and praise. He made my experience very enjoyable.

I will definitely be visiting Mike for coffees and future vehicles. Not just a salesman but a great friend to have. Thank you again Michael February, and thank you Richmondhill Subaru, you guys helped not only me but my family with purchasing vehicles.

The cars are good but the service at this dealership is horrible. I purchased a new Crosstrek and paid extra for a homelink rearview mirror. Upon pickup I noticed that the headliner was stained from where a service person had removed the trim piece with dirty hands. The salesperson was able to clean it off after I mentioned it to him, but why would you not check the car before delivery? When I was driving home and adjusting the mirror I realised that the mirror was not even attached, the service person had left the installation halfway and had not even screwed in the mirror and was completely missing the wire cover. I had to go back the next day and even after telling them what they needed to fix, they returned the car back to me to look over having only screwed in the mirror and had to be reminded that the wire cover was missing. Again after this fix the service person left my passenger seat dirty with some sort of oil. Additionally though charging me for a full tank of gas, they delivered the car with the gas tank a quarter empty.

Always hard to put a good review for car service but Zack and his team were wonderful.

I had to tow my car to them as it would not start. I am not a mechanic but I knew the issue was not for me or even CAA to solve.

They took a look next day and fixed the issue. Blown fuse on starter.

I also did service which I never do at dealers. Price was indeed cheaper and to my surprise Zack never upsold me on anything.

A few items to note:

Got free car wash code
Got OEM parts (you be surprised what other places use)
Zack gave me an extra fuse for emergency as well

Overall I am very happy with the service

We had an issue with our driver and passenger side mirror sensors in our 2015 Outback. We went to Richmond Hill Subaru to get an estimate of the cost to replace this. We were quoted an all in price of $1800 to replace the sensor and were told by Zak that most of the cost was from Subaru Canada and that the labor would be $400. This number changed of when asked again but sitll around $1800. This is really unacceptable that Subaru Canada would charge this much or that NewRoads would charge such an outrageous price to replace the sensors. Having been a customer for many years I would not recommend this dealership. They done nothing to contact Subaru Canada on our behalf and advocate for a lesser price.

This was my first time getting a Subaru for myself. I didn't know much about cars but Alex Kam was so professional, helpful and patient! He gave me all the details I needed and explained so thoroughly about the difference between each model and showed me how to use each of the different features. I didn't feel any pressure to buy at all. He tailored to your needs and will give you the most honest answer and won't pressure you to buy a higher model. What I am most impressed about Alex is the fact that he continues to provide his support and answer all my questions in a timely manner about car and maintenance even after my purchase two years ago. He is truly the best sales rep I have ever encountered who provides top notch customer service and support. I would highly recommend him to everyone who is looking for a Subaru or just for a car in general. Thank you so much for all your help and support Alex! I was in town to visit family and brought my Subaru Outback to the service department to inspect noises from the left-front wheel when the car goes on a bump.

The reasons for the low rating are listed below:

1) THE ADVISOR WASN'T CAPABLE TO LISTEN MY COMPLAINT OF THE CAR AND EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE THE MECHANICS

I passed this issue to the advisor, but mechanic stated the problem is from the rear-left wheel. After describing my experience directly to the mechanic, he was able to diagnose the problem is from the front-left wheel stabilizer. The mechanic later informed me that the advisor did not tell him about the noise from the front-left wheel. It seems that the advisor wasn't able to listen to my complaint the car and pass this information to mechanic.

2) THE ADVISOR WASN'T ABLE TO INFORM THE CUSTOMER ON ITS ABILITY TO HONOR A MADE APPOINTMENT

The parts to to fix the issue wasn't in stock. So I made another appointment for the order parts to arrive. However, when I arrived the second time, they told me the part didn't arrive. I was disappointment because the Richmond hill dealership could checked on the ordered parts in advance and inform me on this mishap. I expressed my frustration to my advisor and he respond that it's not their responsibility to inform me they can't fix the car during the second appointment (they claim is the fault Subaru part warehouse). At the end, they were able to buy the parts from another nearby dealership and fixed the issue 2 hours longer than promised. Overall, I think they should have checked about the parts and let me know that the appointment should be reschedule. It's seems that they don't respect anyone else' time.

3) THE ADVISOR REPLACED ADDITIONAL PARTS WITHOUT THE CUSTOMER'S PERMISSION AND TRIED TO CHARGE THEM FOR IT

When I picked the car they tried to charged me both the right AND left stabilizer. They first claim that I agreed to it, but they admitted about their scam once I showed them the quotes that I gotten from them. They then decided to removed the additional new parts and replace it with my old parts. After waiting for 3 hours for the car, Richmond Hill Subaru dealership want me to wait additional hours for them fix their own mistake. I strongly disagreed with their scam. After a lengthy debate with the advisor and manger, they decided to let me keep the additional parts installed on my car and only charge for the parts. It was really upset to hear that I have to pay the parts that I never agreed to me installed in the first place. The parts itself cost only ~$45 and they wouldn't cover the cost of their own mistakes.

It shows that the $45 means more to them than a valued costumer. I ended up paying for their mistake. It was a quiet a disappointing experience

4) LACK OF COVID PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
The front desk representative and the sale people have their mask below their chin and I had to ask them for their personal hand sanitizer because it wasn't available except for the front door (It was hard for customers at the service department to find it). It's a good thing that there aren't many customer in the dealership.

5) GREAT MECHANICS
The mechanic was very knowledgeable and was able to communicate the issue well. He was able to fix the issue.

Overall, I won't recommend this service department to my friends or family. There were so many flaws with this department that its not worth it. Base on their attitude, they made me feel that I did something wrong. I usually go to another Subaru dealership back in my home town that goes beyond to provide the best service.

P.s Richmond Hill Subaru dealership.please don't reply to this review and try to pretend to care about my comments. Your service department manger made it very clear that she doesn't have the patience at least hear about my frustration even though you admitted that it was your mistake. At the very least, she should have tried to understand the customer's experience.

He went above and beyond as all have said. Don’t go anywhere else!

When I decide to surprise and change my son car, I went to Subaru and decided to buy him one. The entire environment of the dealership was so friendly and profession. Mo was the person who I booked with. He had a very good knowledge and patiently answered and explained all my questions. He gave me the best option of deal with the financial and the quality of the car. Sam is my anger expert that work with Mo he is the person who help us to get all financial paperwork done in like a price of cake. February is a hidden surprise in Richmond hill Subaru. You can’t imagine he can speak mandarin fluently. Meanwhile, he is very knowledgeable and honest. Unfortunately, I can’t wait a 2022 cross trek for 2-4 months but I totally understand the situation caused by chip shortages. Still really appreciate February’s services.

The whole staff at Richmond Hill Subaru were nothing but fantastic! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a sales rep and the were beyond friendly! I ended up purchasing a pre-owned Outback and the fact that I did not have negotiate was perfect! Kiefer, the Pre-Owned Sales Manager, greeted me during the process and that was an awesome touch!

Purchase my vehicle through Alissa Charbonneau, all done via phone calls, text messages and emails without ever having taken a test drive or viewing the vehicle or meeting Alissa in person! I was adamant on color, trim and make of vehicle. Alissa was able to find it for me despite not being in their current inventory. Super job done by Alissa. Transaction was done pretty smoothly without much headaches and steps taken were clearly explained to me. No pressure. Car arrived perfect.

Alissa was also great in taking my post-sales questions about the vehicle since I have not taken a test drive to learn about the features of the car before hand. Wanted a Subaru and really loving it. Yeah, I can recommend buying a vehicle at Richmond Hill Subaru. It was a pleasant experience for me.

The sales representative (Alyssa) was completely cold and unwelcoming and advised me (nonchalantly) to make my purchase elsewhere, treating me just like a new customer.

She quickly sent me 2 links over an email and asked me to modify the forms to obtain the vehicle's total cost and payments.

I am aware the current situation with COVID-19 has impacted the automative industry, however as a returning Subaru owner who is going to spend 40k on a new car I found this type of response absurd.

Richmond Hill Subaru is not the only Subaru dealership in the area. I have had a far better experience in other Subaru dealership. I will be a paying customer at any dealership, however I’d rather support a dealership that puts customer appreciation/satisfaction at the forefront of their business model.

If you’re looking to buy a Subaru in the area, I would definitely avoid this location. Find someone who will make you feel welcome, and not like some irritant to their business operations.

Was looking for a Subaru crosstrek sport and was having a good conversation with Alissa charbonneau about it and then things turned sour in a blink of an eye. When we were discussing price, I advised her that I didn’t need or want any additional optional coverages. She then proceeded to flat out lie to me by telling me that all Subaru dealerships aren’t doing any sales of vehicles without the customer taking at least one optional coverage like rust protection, end of lease protections, tire/rim protection, etc just to give a few examples. Needless to say I was put off by this and knew it was complete garbage. I confirmed with 3 other dealerships who confirmed that she was being slimy and what she tried to do was 100% in bad faith, the reason so many people have bad experiences and why car salespeople have bad reputations. Now others may have had good dealings with Alissa but I can confirm that I didn’t. I wouldn’t recommend Alissa to anyone because she is only looking to line her pockets/quota and not look out for the customer.

Shoutout to Mo Hosseini! He was amazing to deal with not once but twice in the last 2 months. We initially came in July looking for an outback and Mo did a great job making us feel like we had options without pressure to purchase. I appreciated his friendly manner, knowledge and willingness to work with us through the process. Two month later I called Mo again for when we had to unexpectedly get another car and once again he took care of us and we are now happy owners of a crosstrek and an outback! Thank you Mo. We were looking for a used Forester last week and had a hard time finding anything decent.
I had spoken to Alissa earlier on about another vehicle. Later on last week I received an email from Alissa saying that she found something that I might be interested in.
As I had no car she offered to come and let me look at it. I probably would have missed out on the car if Alissa did not drive it over for me to test drive.
Picked up the Forester today and love it.

I recently had to upgrade my vehicle (2000 Subaru Legacy) due to the old age of my car. I was really nervous about giving up my car as it has been with me throughout most of my life. Worse dealership for customer service.
Had an appointment for a recall, called in 2 days before the appointment to see if I can drop off my vehicle early, called center told me no problem and assured me a loaner vehicle would be available. After arriving I was told there were no loaner vehicles available so I requested to be shuttled home, they refused. I was told the Dave the service manager would call me back, I waiting all day and only recieved a call back at 4: 30pm. He left a message stating I created an incident at his service department and call center.
So i took my vehicle and booked this recall appointment at another dealer. Customer service is garage. I'm just sharing my experience. This was my first and last Subaru.
Employees like this tarnish the Subaru name.

I have always had great service here. Holly goes above and beyond to keep you updated on issues that pop up, look for after market parts if requested, etc. There is always a shuttle service or loaner offered as well.

Great car purchase experience. Michael February was friendly and not pushy, always ready to answer any questions, and not afraid to say if he wasn't sure of an answer and check with his colleagues. There was none of the pushy or arrogant car salesmanship from Michael or his colleagues, and there was excellent customer service going above and beyond in every aspect of my purchase. After trekking up there due to terrible customer service at another dealership, I didn't need to look any further. This is the second car I've purchased from Richmond Hill Subaru and I can honestly say the sales and management team at this dealership is one of a kind. The experience I had with Kevin Loll was nothing short of exceptional. He's truly an example of how someone in automotive sales should be - honest, patient, and professional. Thanks to Peter and all of his hard work and patience. My engine light was on and he'd spent his time explaining the details of the issues. He was friendly and helpful. I had great experience getting the service done by Peter.

I lease my cars from Richmond Hill Subaru and I also service them there. I am very satisfied with both the sales experience (Alex is awesome!) as well as the service quality and efectiveness. Very good customer service overall - highly recommended.

Have gone here for parts for years now and have never had any issues getting what I'm looking for, everytime I go Zakk always manages to help me out whether the part be straight from Japan or not, much better service then any other subaru dealer I've been to that's forsure!

I got my pre owned forester from Odilo, thanks for his help from.picking out the car, to helping me find good rates insurance. I can only say, he was standing by my side to help me throughout the whole process. I guess I will be a Subaru owner for a long time.

Amazing people and very personal service. I always know that Zakk is there for me to get me my parts fix. All the problems when I walk in, no problems when I walk out. Always fair with the prices. 10/10 would give more money, but none left.

I bought and do my maintenance services at Richmond Hill Subaru. Odi, Simon and Peter are very good and treats their customers like family.

Odi was really good and was not pushing me to buy my vehicle. He made a deal with the car I bought that you cannot surpass against the other dealerships in Scarborough and North York.

Simon made the payment and the warranties painless and easy for me. He also didn't push me to buy unwanted warranties I did not need.

I have been going to Peter for my service needs with my vehicle. When I get my car back from him it's just like it was a brand new vehicle I just bought. With 20000km on the odometer he makes my trip to the service department easy and I know that I'll be giving my car to someone that knows my vehicle and that can really service my car.

When I walk in through the door I am always greeted by someone. All in all going here is the best because they treat their customers like family.

I have the best car purchase experience: no sale pressure, detail explanation of the car function, finance options. Alex is one of the best salesman. Would definitely recommend him.

I was helped by Odilo, who was not only a great sales rep and helped me getting the info I needed for my purchase, but also helped me familiarize with how to use various functions associated with my new car.
