Love the team here! My cats seem to do really well with walking around in their leashes which means its an environment that feels safe for them. Dr. Portche is our usual vet for the kitties but the other doctors are just as swell too!:) technicians and receptionist also are very welcoming! Cannot recommend this vet clinic enough even if its a journey away

They are the worst! I had been visiting them for years but they never fail to disappoint. Today is the day I am changing this vet for my dog. They just want to make money and the vets checking up on your dogs really doesn’t check anything.

We have been taking our feline family members to Richview Animal Hospital for over 20 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Inky, our most recent companion had his check today and we were delighted. Kudos to Dr. Benjamin Fuller and Krystal. His kind and calm manner helped Inky relax. The staff at the front have always been professional, helpful and friendly. Too bad we can only give 5 stars.

Professional, caring and considerate. I unfortunately had to say goodbye to my long time friend today. Things were explained to me before and as they happened. The sadness of loosing her was lessened by a doctor that let me take things at my own pace and took time out of his day listening to me and my memories. Thank you.

The manager, Theresa, is very rude and lacks customer service skills. My mother went in to have our cat get some blood work for travel. She was being racist, rude, and dismissive to my mother. She was very condescending and lacked basic knowledge about the type of blood work needed for animals to travel. She seems like she hates animals. I would not trust those people with my pets.

My mother had some questions regarding the blood work needed for my cat to travel because the last time I had blood work done for my cat, they did the wrong one. They wasted my time, and money, and my cat was unable to travel with the me. My mother wanted to avoid this from happening again. Theresa then told my mom she will not help people like her. She proceeded to write a letter saying they will be denying my cat from any medical care.

My mother is a black, visibly Muslim woman who is well spoken and articulate. Theresa continued to speak to my mom like she wasn’t capable of understanding. She repeatedly referred to my mom as “your kind” and “people like you”.

Theresa is not fit to work with people. She is better suited to work somewhere away from people. The owner should really consider replacing her. She is bad for business.

Please believe that my family will be taking our business elsewhere. We will be telling our family, friends, and neighbours to avoid that clinic at all costs.

Of course Teresa is being defensive and dismissive. She is unprofessional and its not being truthful. Having a diverse staff doesn't mean YOU, Teresa, are not racist and it does not mean YOU did not display discriminatory behaviour.

As a matter of fact, you definitely ran a blood test. It was the incorrect one though. I specified the one that was needed and your clinic failed to pay attention and ensure the correct blood test was taken. You can't even remember the events of our encounter correctly which leads me to believe that you have done this before.

It seems as though you hate interacting with different kinds of people. Maybe customer interactions isn't for you.

Can't say I'm not happy. My Pup has been going there since she was 13 Weeks. She Loves visiting the Vets. I wish I felt the same visiting a hospital. She is always greeted by the front desk with love and Kindness. She has also had her spaying done at the clinic with great aftercare follow-up. She is now 1 year old and still gets excited to visit!

Man this place is EXPENSIVE. I didn’t have time to go to my usual vet so I visited this one since it’s close to my house. They charged me two times what I usually get charged at the other vet I go to despite only getting it checked out and getting some medication.

They’re fairly thorough and friendly though.

If it were possible no stars, that's what I would give them! I came in with a dog in need of assistance, the veterinary did examine her and gave her medication, however, as she did not improve at all, actually got worse and worse, so did the clinic's customer service decline. I called numerous times, never did they give me a return, I had to keep calling and pleading to please talk to someone besides the receptionists. We needed an x ray, that the doctor had said when we first came in might be needed, but they could only have it done in 3 days, after 4 days of suffering. If the doctor knew it could happen, why not have a special empty slot in the examinations agenda just for this kind of patient? Planning ahead people, that's what's it's called! I understand not having an appointment when I first call, but I do not understand if it is for a patient! The assistants and/or the doctor should have told me that an x-ray would definitely be necessary and told me to make an appointment immediately. In case my dog did improve, we could cancel it, although it didn't look like it by that time (3 days after my first appointment). This is very poor management, of people and resources and unacceptable. The last drop in the bucket was when I called and pleaded again to talk to an assistant at 9 am and was told that she might be able to call me back in the evening! A rude receptionist, to whom I had explained for the millionth time what was going on and that I needed to talk to a doctor urgently, just told me she was going to hang up on me after I said this was no way to treat a customer and that we were dealing with a dog's deep pain! The assistant did return my call, but of course only at her own convenience, after 5pm that same day. That clinic has to really improve customer service! I will never go back there and I do not recommend it at all!

We took our two 3 year old cats in for a weigh in. The female cat started her weight loss journey in August. The male was getting up in weight so he could use to lose some weight. Not as much as the female. The technician weighed them and they both lost a little weight so good progress. The technician was very helpful and spent quite a bit of time with us. The weight check in appointments are no charge.

The vet, Jennifer Portch, is the most unpleasant person I've met. The tech, Annie, is nice. The vet was not polite to Annie either. She was putting her down in front of us. That personality of hers is so apparent that she couldn't even make the visit smooth or pleasant for a new kitten visit.

She also made us wait very long for a scheduled visit, saw us for a while, went out and made us wait long again for her to come back.

One of the things she said was 'the kitten's parents along with all other cats in the world should be neutered or spayed. There should be no more kittens in the world' in the tone that me having this kitten is a mistake! Urgh!

Facility seems fine but who cares! I'd rather go to a vet that doesn't make a visit unpleasant.

And the price? I paid 4 times more than the previous place for the same service. Never going there again!

We are new patients to this practice. This vet clinic is in a quiet, clean, pet friendly location. The staff working are extremely friendly and helpful - they took the time to explain some key things to us (ex.bloodwork schedule, vaccine booking, heartworm treatment, etc.). This clinic is filled with kind and loving staff member - our reactive and hyper dog did very well with them. The veterinarian on staff that day was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us in a concise manner. 10/10 - would recommend!

We got our dog neutered at Richview Animal Hospital and we are absolutely delighted with the entire experience and visits to this hospital. As first time pet parents, we were bit anxious with the entire process, however, the staff (including the doctors, vet technicians, client specialists) were extremely kind, cooperative and kept us updated throughout the day/process. They even called us the next day of the surgery to check on his recovery. Special mention to Dr. Warrak, Dr. Portch and Claudia for answering all our queries, which definitely helped us feel comfortable!
Thank you for all the love and care for our dog (Stark). We would definitely recommend this hospital!

My dog hadn’t been to the vet for several years due to financial issues. When I brought her in with severe dental decay, the staff did their very best to help us and more importantly my dog. They are very warm and friendly. Quite reassuring for anyone with anxiety or guilt. Above all they care about pets and it really shows! I highly recommend bringing your pets here as their care was kind, effective and a good price.

We moved into the area and transferred from our previous vet. Brought our 10 year old dog in to have a few fat deposit bumps removed. They said it would be an all day "in hospital" procedure and gave us a quote for just under $2K. The day before we brought our dog in for pre-op blood work, we found out that his vaccines were not up to date. Instead of letting us know this beforehand, they gave us a waiver to sign. When I got home, I read the waiver and called the office to discuss why this was not addressed as I had the entire file transferred from his previous vet. They apologized and said it was missed. In disappointment, we started sourcing out another vet. Through a recommendation, we found a fantastic doctor and had all our dogs' fat bumps removed under local anesthesia with minor recovery for $750.

You are paying these Vets for their staff and rent, not for top quality pet care!

Our regular vet was booked this weekend and we needed quick assistance. This animal hospital came through for us. Reasonable prices and STELLAR STAFF! Was never rushed and our special lil guy (5 year old 8 pound toy poodle) was treated with affection and kindness. Thank you Richview!

They used to care and be great.not sure what happened. They are continually late, injure your pet and can't even be organised enough to get in touch with you. Don't have a nail trim done here! Be with your pet the entire time to monitor their care. Disappointed.

My dog have had his nails trimmed usually once a year for 15 years. A few weeks ago, he had his nails trimmed at Richview. But his front nails looked as if they had not been trimmed. Yesterday one of the front nails which grew longer caused him to limp. I called Richview to ask them to trim just this long one. The technician said they have to charge fully $40 for trimming and charge separately for assessing his limping. I have taken my dog to this place last 4 years. NO more! This morning I took my dog to a grooming place. They trimmed all the nails for only $10. It took only 5 min. My dog stopped limping with nails shortened. He is happier now.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL.
Brought my dog for his annual visit and they now recommend he gets his yearly vaccines in 2 visits instead of the 1 visit he has had the last 3 years. Reason they say is his size. 2.5 kilo. They charge $95 to walk in the door and because now they say we have to come in 2 visits they will charge for another visit.with a straight face. But the vet did say "I can give him all his shots today but it could kill him". SERIOUSLY? !?
Also overcharged by $100 the NextGard flea and tick treatment. This place is only about the money, sadly. I will be going elsewhere after this.
AGAIN, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD.

I called the Clinic asking if they could see my dog that day, as he was not doing very well. I told them he is very uncomfortable, ate his breakfast and vomited everything immediately and has not eaten in 12 hours, all he told me is call tomorrow at 8 am to book slots they have available for the emergencies, I told him i am concerned that he is in pain, and he said call tomorrow morning, i said you take Nail Trimming appointment precedence over a dog in distress, to that he said if you are that concerned take him to emergency vet. Yet I am talking to a clinic that is dismissing me. That is the last time I will be going to this Vet, I have made my decision to get my dog care where my dog matters, and where comfort of my dog is taken seriously. But when you do get an appointment they will make sure to call you thousand time to come for a follow up so that they can charge you again.

This was the best medical treatment experience I have experienced regarding my pet. My kitten boba needed emergency surgery and the staff and surgeon acted very fast and called us in right away. Performed a successful surgery and kept us updated throughout the surgery procedure. Can’t thank them enough. The staff was amazing and I knew my pet was in good hands. All the other hospitals had 7 hour wait times and if it wasn’t for them my pet wouldn’t be here today. Special thanks to Dr. Warrak!

This has been my dog’s veterinary clinic from day 1. Throughout her entire life, everyone at the clinic have always given her the utmost care. The staff are truly passionate about what they do, and it shows. I recommend it to everyone!

I’ve been bringing my pets here for over twenty years. Dr Portch has been my main vet and is wonderful. My last visit was due to my dog having a possible seizure. I did not see Dr Portch but the vet was also excellent. I was well informed and very satisfied with the problem solving approach.

My dog lucky needed a knee surgery and the dr was excellent Dr alexander warrak even went above and beyond and noticed his other knee was not ok either did an xray to check sure enuf it was broken all the staff were plesant and super careing we came all the way from hamilton and we would again thanks again guys u rock

Not my regular vet, but had a great experience at the emergency visit.

My dog had an emergency when I was visiting the area and they were able to get us in quickly. The matter was taken care of in the timely manner and they also communicated with my regular vet so I could do the follow up appointments in my neighbourhood. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

I would definitely recommend!

If you are senior citizen - this place is, at best, substandard. The parking area is horrific. I had to wait outside in minus 17 degree wind chills for my pet to get his blood work done. This was under the guise of protecting their staff, despite my having my face mask affixed properly and offering up my QR code for their vetting. I was told to wait in my car and they'd call me. I DO NOT own or DO I ever wish to own a cellular phone. So, I was left outside cooling my heels for over twenty minutes. The ONLY thing that veterinary hospital values is YOUR MONEY. I will say that the pets are fairly well cared for - it's the only reason I gave them a single star.

We are very pleased with Dr. Oliver. Our first visit for our first family puppy was very reassuring that our Ember is in good hands. Dr. Oliver took the time to share insights and tips, and explained procedures very well. The technicians and staff are very attentive, professional and welcoming too. Very pleasant visit each time. Highly recommend this place!

We are new to Etobicoke. Called & asked for an emergency appointment; I was advised that I would need to call right at 8am the next day as they have a first call, first serve policy for emergency/same day appointments. I did that and we brought our 13 year old cat in. The intake assessment was comprehensive. X-rays and more bloodwork were recommended. Unfortunately the X-rays showed tumors throughout her body. We were offered the option of bringing her home with pain and antiemetic meds for a few days. We knew she was in pain and felt that the meds might make her feel worse (side effects) or at best just prolong her discomfort. We chose to have her euthanized. Dr Fuller, Abi and Chantel were very kind and supportive. They also were compassionate and respectful with our cat. Even though the outcome (euthanasia) was not what we were hoping for, we were very pleased with the process and will definitely bring our other pets to this clinic. Thank-you for your kindness and compassion.

I would like to start off by saying i would not recommend taking your pets to this place. I made an appointment to take my puppy to get his shots. I was 10 min late and I was questioned where I was. I advised the receptionist I would there in 2 min which I was. Once I arrived I waited 20min. That being said when I asked why I was waiting this long outside she said you have to wait your turn but my appointment was 30 min ago. The Manager as she said she was seemed irritated and I must say zero customer service for someone that was bringing there pet there for the first time. Not welcoming what so ever. Finally I technician came out to let me know that they were ready to see my puppy and while I was waiting with my 7 year old son she advised me that my son was not allowed in and that only one person can enter with the puppy. Right there I wanted to just take my puppy to another animal hospital and after my son had a melt down as he was so excited to see his dog for his first doggy appointment she said NO and said she can take my dog in and examine him and we can do the appointment over the phone. Now why would I want to leave my dog inside there for the first time and not know what they are doing to him what treatment and what I’m paying for if I’m not there to see. Now who takes there pet and let’s a doctor examine there dog and just pay after not even seeing anything not being there to meet the doctor and get a feel of there service. As I had no other choice I said okay. As I was trying to calm my son as he was crying in the car. I see that they allowed a mother with her teenager daughter enter the building. Now how are they following policies and procedures. They deny my 7 year old son but allows another family to enter. I called them and said to bring my puppy outside I’ll take my business elsewhere. I prefer to give my business to another animal hospital where they treat all customers the same with respect. Terrible customer service and do not recommend richview animal hospital for your pets.

I brought my dog in for 2 appointments. The first one the staff made me wait outside for 30min whithout any instruction to me in -5 weather. The second appointment, the staff left me outside 10min in -10 degree weather. They finally let me inside and made me wait an additional 40min to see the Dr for a follow up vaccine. Don't waste your time. There are cheaper and better vets in the area who value you and your time as a customer. I wouldn't have posted this review if it was a one off occurance.

This animal hospital is the worst hospital to take your pet,

because:

1. The worst time management!
During the summer of 2021, we made an appointment for our GS puppy. When we arrived we had to wait 45 mins before we were allowed to enter the hospital. We waited another 40 mins for a doctor, and additional 25 mins to receive the vaccine and clean the puppy's ears. After this, our puppy was very exhausted.

2. This hospital prescribes unnecessary medication to make a profit!
After the first visit, our puppy got sick and we went back to the hospital. Before the appointment, we called and inquired about any delays. We were promised no delays. However, we waited 20mins before we were allowed to enter the hospital. The service cost was twice as high, additional and unnecessary medications were prescribed. A similar issue was resolved in another animal hospital for half of the costs we pay here, with fewer medications required.

After our 2nd visit, we told the hospital that we are transferring to another hospital. However, this was ignored and we continued to receive phone calls regarding appointments.

3. Lack of professionalism!
This hospital called us to schedule an unnecessary appointment for rabies vaccination. The rabies vaccine is given at 16 weeks and 1 year. We have an 8-month-old GS and this hospital called us and made an appointment for rabies vaccination. This is illegal and no one has the right to do or tell someone to give the rabies vaccine to a dog at the age of 8 months. This was very unprofessional and stupid.

4. The stuff is rude and unprofessional!
When the receptionist called us to notify us about the illegal rabies vaccination appointment he could not answer any of our questions, was rude, and hang up on us.

In conclusion, we highly do not recommend this hospital. There are other better hospitals in the area.

I had a first-time visit at Richview Animal hospital a couple weeks ago and couldn't be any more impressed and appreciative of the care shown my pet form the very first interaction right through to follow-up. Everyone was caring, professional, and efficient! I was especially impressed with the veterinarian Dr. Portch who handled my challenging cat so expertly - it was such a comfort to both us. She also took a lot of time to ensure I understood everything well.and reviewed as needed. The follow-through and follow-up was all excellent also. Thank you to everyone at Richview. I'm so glad we found you!

I've had my cat for 8 years. I received more education in this visit than the last 6 vets I've been to. The Dr.also was very kind. She did not make me feel judged for not knowing what I probably should have known as a cat owner. I left with a clear action plan and future costs. The wait was alittle long but everyone including the other fur parents were very friendly and the Dr.did explain those were emergency patients.

My cat remains a client of RIchview and I continue to receive excellent service. I went in for his senior examination approximately 3 weeks ago and he was so anxious and as a result vomited in the exam room. The vet was soo kind not only in his professional examination of my cat but also in his interaction with him. Wiping my fur babies face was just soo touching to me.

I went back today as my cat still wasn't well and the vet had some kind of magical hands that not only calmed my cat down (as he hates car rides) but he slept all the way home. WOW. I also wanted to say thank you to the vet tech who cuddled my cat like I would.

I have been to many vets around the GTA.and this is the first vet hospital where I see the vet, vet staff love my cat like I would and this has not always been my experience. Thank you all very much for your kindness and continued professionalism!

I've been a client with Richview since 2018 and service was satisfactory until Covid-19 started. Since then, I have felt very disappointed and frustrated with their management. Clients have not been allowed to enter the hospital to accompany their pets to appointments *regardless of what stage of reopening Toronto is in* Why is it that I can enter a mall or store with capacity and social distancing limits, but not accompany my pet? The price I am paying here does not reflect the value for such impersonal services from March 2020 to present.

All clients have to call the hospital upon arrival to notify the reception that they are here. This has led me to wait in my car anywhere from 30mins - 1hr before my pet was admitted inside, despite arriving on time - 3 TIMES. The lack of customer service and quality that has resulted from this type of no contact service has led me to explore transferring my pets to different vet.

When I was booked my puppy's spay surgery, I booked it for a specific date so that she would be operated by a specific doctor, I had made this request clear when booking the appt. On the day of the surgery, I found out a different doctor also scheduled to perform surgeries on this date would be completing her spay. In addition, the hospital requested me to drop off my puppy at 8: 30am, which I arrived on time for. Her surgery did not start till 11: 30am.

Some positives are that the Vet Technicians that I have come into contact with are very nice and friendly. As well Dr. Moore is the best doctor in my opinion.

I hope this hospital becomes more organized and relaxes their Covid-19 restrictions. Most clients I see standing/and or waiting in their car outside the hospital appear equally frustrated.

We have been taking our puppy Milo here since day one! He loves his visits and he is the puppy trying to bust through the doors to get in! All my visits with him have been amazing! Most recently for his neutering appointment, The staff was so helpful and took the time to answer all my questions before and after and most definitely made this experience very comforting and stress free! We are so happy we chose Richview!

Recently moved to the neighbourhood and booked my first appointment here. Understandably covid protocols mean checking in via phone and waiting outside. I also understand things happen and it cant always run on time. People are usually understanding if they are given some sort of update.

I wanted 45 minutes. I contacted them multiple times but was given no information. This didn't make for a great first impression or strike confidence that my pets would be cared for. I tried to call one last time but after a few minutes on hold, I gave up and sent an email saying I was leaving.

Eventually someone called me to say they were ready for me and to bring my dog to the door but I had already left.

In having my first pet i chose a Vet clinic that had great reviews. This Animal Hospital has lived up to every review i have read. I absolutely love this animal hospital. Every single person who i have dealt with has very helpful and happy to assist in every question i had. They are willing to go the extra mile to ensure the owner of the pet feels secure and always pleased with their decision.
I would Recommend this Animal Hospital to anyone i know!

Amazing staff and super helpful. Been taking my dog here and they are thorough and thoughtful. As new dog owners we keep calling for anything that worries and they always provide the best solutions that had worked so far. Will definitely recommend Richview to any new pet owner.

Brought my kitten for his first check up here at richview animal hospital and was extremely happy with how everything went.the doctor was very informative, staff was super friendly and overall they showed that they really care about the animals they see.i will most definitely be seeing them for all of my pets’ appointments, glad to know he’ll be growing with richview animal hospital.

Richview was our third vet in the past year and they should have been our first and last! The staff are warm and friendly, very professional and really care about your fur baby. Dr. Booth is very knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions as well as giving you other options if available. I would highly recommend Richview to anyone looking for a clinic, it has everything you need.

I took my cat in recently for a checkup at Richview Animal Hospital. Everyone was very friendly and nice - the receptionists, vet assistant, and vet herself. Thry gave me a lot of good advice and information, and also did a very thorough examination of my cat! I also received a complementary bag of cat food for his gingevitis. I will definitely go there again!

The staff are great here! They are so friendly and very helpful. We just had our kitten spayed with them and she is doing well. Our older cat is now having problems and we are going through the process of figuring out what the problem is. They have been very helpful and supportive through this process. Thanks again!

I was so happy with the care and patience with this clinic. I was left to find a vet with not much notice, a few were suggested, but I decided to try Richview Animal Hospital and Dr. Booth. I was very anxious bringing my old guy in to meet another new doctor. Dr. Booth and his team far exceeded any of my expectations, they made sure everything was understood and answered all of our questions. I am so happy that I chose this animal hospital. I’d recommend them to anyone.

I went in with my cat because he was sick. He doesn't like to be handled and becomes quite difficult to work with. The staff was very skilled, managed to do a full exam, administer medication and take blood despite my cat's objection. They continue to be very involved with his recovery and responsive when I call with questions or updates.

We started taking our puppy Gavin to Richview about 7-8 months ago, and although we moved an hour and a half away, we love the staff and how they treat us and Gavin so we continue to use the services provided by Richview Animal Hospital. They are always considerate of financial situations and do their absolute best to accommodate us in the best way possible! Any other vet would charge a ridiculous amount and lack the warm approach that Richview's amazing team has provided us with, for each and every visit. Thank you a million times, you guys are awesome!:)

I have brought my puppy Otis to multiple clinics/hospitals across etobicoke and the GTA, and this by far is the best animal hospital I have visited. The environment is very welcoming and clean. Their staff are friendly and love seeing my puppy. As a first timer pet parent, they have made going to the vet very easy! Thank you Richview Animal Hospital for all that you do for Otis!

I popped in to have my dog’s nails trimmed and get dog food. I also had a concern about my dog and they booked me in with a vet immediately. The staff were courteous and very helpful and very knowledgeable.

I have brought my working K9 here, as well as my pet dog and cat. I have always found it rather easy to make an appointment, in that they have late hours. Me and my fur babies have always received a very warm welcome upon entering, and I don’t have to wait long before being called in. I feel the techs are very knowledgeable, as well as the veterinarians. I feel like all my questions get answered and everything is explained clearly. The doctor reviewed my pets medical file and was familiar with her history, which I took comfort in. When it appeared that some information was missing from the previous vet, they called to get that information. I like that they go over the estimates of future procedures and follow up to see how my animals are doing. Another vet took the time to help measure my pets nails, which wasn’t necessarily part of the scope of the exam, and was very much appreciated.

I switched vets because my last vet was always pushing unnecessary tests and treatments. I was surprised when Dr. Johnson spent the time and actually got down and did a thorough hands on examination of my dog. She was very informative and listened to my concerns and understood that I have financial limitations on treating a 14 yr old dog (just make her comfortable). My dog is doing better and I finally feel I have found a vet who is knowledgeable and more interested in my dog then my wallet. I highly recommend Richview Animal Hospital.

The Doctors were thorough and obviously love working with animals. They asked good questions and provided us with thoughtful feedback and suggestions. Normally Reggio (our dog) is so anxious at the Vet.that it becomes virtually impossible to properly examine and give him his shots, but at Richview everyone was so good with him and the Doctor was able to examine him thoroughly and give him his 3 shots without any real issue - very impressed and everyone was so pleasant towards me and Reggio and that made our 2 visits so much easier for Reggio!

Cannot say enough about this clinic. Our vet could not see my sick cat so I called Richview being that they were close to our new place. My vet faxed blood work and other test results. The team there stayed 45 minutes after they closed to get needed tests done and they were kind and considerate. A big bill, but I already knew what I was getting into and they made it clear all the testing was my choice. Would highly recommend.
