A few weeks back, wanted to see about ebikes, I already have one, but wanted to see what else was out there. Didn't want to shop on line. I wanted to touch it, move it, get the feel of it. Something you can't do on the internet. A fact finding mission, or so I thought. I did look up on line an eBike dealer near me, and decided on "Ride the Wind eBikes. "

Staff very proffessional and courteous. Told them about fact finding, so no pressure on me to buy (important). But, didn't turn out that way, fell in love with the bike the first moment I saw it. No, appologies, I bought it. Very happy!

But, an issue developed, I made them aware of it, they investigated, knew what was the problem, they made inquires on their end. Short time later informed me of a solution, would inform me when solution came in. Again IMPORTANT, they kept me in the loop

I was as important to them after the sale as before! So to sum up, they treated me like a person, the most important question to me would be, "Would I buy or deal with them again? "

The exact make and model I wanted was not available at the store when I arrived, but every effort was then made by Jolene and her team to get me the bike I wanted. By the end of the day, they had it available. My bike was even delivered ahead of schedule to avoid the rain that was in the forecast!
Every question I had pre and post delivery was answered quickly and to my satisfaction.

I bought my first e-bike from a U. S.company (since my job has me in Florida for 5 months every year) and it recently needed the derailleur adjusted. I went to three other shops, in the area and they wouldn’t even talk to me. I walked into Ride The Wind and right away Darren came out and looked at my bike, did the adjustments and then had me back on the road.
These guys are amazing and if I didn’t already have my e-bike I’d be purchasing from them. They are super friendly and just a happy group of people. Excellent, speedy and friendly service. Reasonable prices. Large inventory and range of choices. Bought an e-bike for my father. Been riding it for about one month and a half and no issues. I had to adjust the brake disk in front and back though as they were not 100% straight and rubbing against the brake pads intermittently; that’s easy and simple fix. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Last year I bought my first bike from a local shop trying to stay close to home. Wrong choice… long story short I was looking for a new bike this summer. So for my second bike I knew what I wanted. Did a lot of research and started looking at shops around Ontario. Called multiple, but there was only one that actually answered my questions and sounded honest having my best interest in mind. And it was Ride the Wind. I ended up buying a Tao Leo 72V/40ah in Blue. Did my transaction all from home. They made me feel comfortable and made sure I knew everything I could to make sure I am informed. Their prices seriously can’t be beat, they have NO hidden fees, NO read between the lines, everything was legit and I can say with a promise. They are the best shop NATIONWIDE! Jolene and Darren are the best! Since buying my bike they have been more then helpful when it comes to me learning and constantly asking them questions. I purchased a Tao Leo from Jolene at the end of the 2022 season and was given a great deal. I live in British Columbia and with the help from her you tube videos and a couple of phone calls I was able to assemble my Leo and get it on the road with no problem's. Best customer service and support in the business. I will only purchase my future e bike items from her and her team.

I bought the bike last August. From the day it was delivered when you turn the bike it squeaked. One mechanic ron RTW came and I paid $100 to have it looked at and still didn't help. They picked it up and took it to the shop and I paid another $100 to have it returned. I still have the same problem so have given up dealing with the company and will find my own mechanic to fix it.

Very professional and knowledgeable about their wares. Easy to contact for extra questions that may arise. Extremely helpful!

Absolutely a great company. They are informative and will go out of their way to answer your questions and help with anything you could possibly need. I bought a Emmo Zone 72v/100ah from them with some nice upgrades to the motor and controller and they assisted with getting it shipped out to me through customs to Las Vegas, took a bit to get it through and figured out but Jolene was a huge help and really took charge on getting things situated. The bike runs great and has been a blast to ride around these past 8 or so months now.top speed iv gotten it too is 129kmh as well which is pretty fun to say the least.

The shops looks very professional and stylish that I am very impressed. Especially, the owner was very nice and friendly.so, I can have all details to pick the right E-motorcycle (Gandan) for my nephew. When the bike is ready to pick up…. I went into Ride The Wind in Mount Albert to see if an ebike would extend my riding years. At 74 years old, my knees are pretty well toast and 10 - 20 kms was my maximum ride before pain set in. A test ride on a Taubik Peak was a life changer. I live in a very hilly area and the bike allowed me to climb the highest hill with absolutely no effort at all. I bought the bike on the spot and now ride 30 kms at a stretch without any discomfort whatsoever. Jolene was wonderful to work with and spent quite a bit of time patiently answering all my newbie questions. All in all, 5 stars in every category for Ride The Wind.

After I bought my second bike and had problems with it I've never had a company be so bad on something that's on a warranty charging a customer for delivery and pick up!? There very nice to you until you have about your bike I hope nothing goes wrong because they do not know how the treat a customer when it comes to warranty. I will say this buyer beware! Hello from eugene, i bought my e bike a few weeks ago because i still wanted to go places n do things but my legs can t take 7hrs of walking so i went to ride the wind in mount albert n they fixed me right up, i did a 7 hr Burls creek fair day with my new e bike which worked great for 7 hrs n still had half battery lifen im 6ft 230lbs thanks again RTW

Found out about this shop through some brief research in my quest for an e-bike. The tao gemini caught my eyes, so I arranged an appointment to speak with Jolene in person as well as check out the shop. It was an hour away from where I live but was worth it to check out the shop for myself as well as talk face to face with Jolene. I ended up picking up a (slightly) used Tao Gemini for about $3700. She mentioned they generally don't like to buy used/sell used bikes as they are usually more worn than new, however this one was from a previous customer of hers; with only about 800km already on it.

I got the bike delivered and within a couple of days I was finally able to enjoy my little e-bike. I've personally had no major complaints with it and I'm glad I gave Jolene & her husband my business, opposed to the lesser reputable vendors out there (ahem EMMO). Check out Ride the Wind if you're in the market for a new E-bike, I highly recommend it!

How do you guys justify charging 800 dollars on a new battery for a bike the bikes 4 years old, very upset to find out my grandma has spent another 800 dollars on this thing, did you guys try trinkle charging the battery, what about replacing dead cells? Or did you just figure it was easier to switch the whole battery unit because my 65 year old grandma didnt know better? You also forgot to reinstall the 4 screws holding the back rack on.i showed up their today and the whole entire rack was held on by one screw have you ever heard of threadlock? Or maybe you just didnt actually reinstall them but it was take in 2 weeks ago she went to use it today and the whole battery rack fell off your lucky you where dealing with a 65 year old lady and not me cause i woulda taken it outta your shop in 30 seconds green st. In peterborough would have diagnosed the problem and fixed for a fraction of the cost. How do you forgetto put the screws back in after charging some 800$ go take a look around your shopbet you got the screws in my handlaying around somewhere never letting my family or anyone i know come here again your lucky she took it in to you guys before calling me i cant believe youd rip an older lady off like that.also their is a jolene that works their was rude and extremely uniformative.

After about a week of searching for the right delarship my wife and I stumbled on Jolene's YouTube channel by accident.she sold us on how friendly and knowledgeable she was.we ended up reaching out to her and saw her 3 days later.we left with 2.yes 2! I purchased a Tao Leo from Jolene at Ride The Wind a few weeks back. I can say that she tries very hard to satisfy her customers. I wrote her several times with questions and she always came through with the answers. Great customer service and completely satisfied with my purchase.
Se also gives valuable information concerning ebikes on Youtube and that is something practical for us users, I have yet to see as much information from other dealers.

I just bought an almost new e-bike (2020 Emmo Kamen) from Jolene. I have to say she was more than patient with my million questions over a period of a couple days via email before I could visit her shop. I decided to go with Jolene and RideTheWind because she's taken the time to put quite a few videos on YouTube that are sincere and informative. Jolene has a direct, down to earth approach that makes you comfortable with making a buying decision with zero pressure. She had the bike I wanted at a very fair price. One great thing about RTW is that they will deliver pretty much anywhere in Southern Ontario (for a fee, cost depending on distance). So if you don't drive or have access to a trailer or pick up truck, they've go you covered. I highly recommend contacting Jolene if you are in the market. A month later: The bike does the advertised 40 kilometer range with one full grown adult male rider. I'm about 230 pounds in weight. I've ridden it arround the city, in the country, even to work and back (21.5 km away including one big hill up the Niagara escarpment!)! Mods so far include red pinstriping and a Porsche badge: Porsche (Emmo) Kamen (Cayman)! Get it? ! Lol. More mods to come!

I gave them a call the owner Jolene replied promptly helped me with all my questions and even helped me with getting finances to purchase my Leo. Which I also have to say the shop wasn't even open for the season I had a factory defect. Both Jolene and her technician got the problem fix right away thay are very knowledgeable, respective and will help any way thay can. I will recommend Jolene at Ride The Wind ebikes to everyone. My wife and I have been looking for a couple of months at purchasing some E-Bikes. I came across Jolene' YouTube videos and found them to be extremely informative. We had a planned trip south and made a point to go visit her place of business. She was very informative on the units that we were looking at and we decided to purchase the EMMO EMINI fat tire units. We told her that we wanted to travel Canada in our F'ver and wanted a bike to visit sites and run around the downtown cores. As we are going to use these in our home town in Northern Ontario and mount them behind our trailer when travel across Canada, these units are built sturdy and the battery life far exceeded my expectations as they are 17.5AH. We have been using these for a week now and they are amazing, easy and fun to ride. As we ride around town we are constantly asked were did we get those and we can say with pride "" Ride The Wind " ask for Jolene" Thanks Jolene for the awesome bikes, we are enjoying them tremendously and we've been asked to become E-Bike ambassadors as we use them to go everywhere.

Jolene scam artist/fake reviews - She is one of the most unprofessional human I have ever dealt with.
I’m happy to say I did and was able to purchase a Tao leo from a very reputable dealer in ontario. Unfortunately this dealer would not be Jolene the owner of ride the winds, in fact the whole time I spoke with jolene I felt like I was dealing with a low level con artist of some sort. Off the bat she sounded a hustler that was only interested in my dollar. The ma’am came off as very cold and calculated. Short with answers and just very awkward to deal with in general. Was not willing to budge on offering a better deal to a more local customer when other shops infact did just that. They record and videotape each encounter so they aren’t held liable or responsible after something bad happens to your ebike. I was also informed that I would not be allowed to use my credit card to make the purchase which had me speechless. Is that even legal? Does the company accept credit cards or not? Because jolene changes her story a lot so get used to that if you decide to deal with her at your own risk. They are scam artists who want to avoid the credit card company’s because they know they have a standard to uphold instead she will ask you for “etransfer” or “emt” like a low level con artist or dealer/peddler would. What kind of reputable business doesn’t accept a credit card? Lol every other ebike shop I called did in fact accept credit card so why not scammer jolene? Jolene also decided that instead of offering myself free delivery like she had with previous units she sold (including changing the pricing of units every few months. Very unprofessional of the company and dealer I might add) jolene instead tried to charge me 300$ for shipping from Sutton to toronto. Make it make sense? Very glad I purchased the exact same bike this dealer has but from an actual trusted reputable dealer. Don’t buy the fake or phony reviews it’s all fake accounts her and her husband made up. Never ever purchase here she just preys on desperate fools who get a crush on her thinking they will get some play until her husband shows up filming to hold them free of accountability/liability’s? It’s a no for me and I don’t recommend. Avoid this train wreck unless you want to be out 5000+ in the future when she sells you a faulty or used bike like the past reviews stated

There is no word in the english language that can best describe how good my experience with Ride the wind, so I will make one up. SCRUMTRALESSANT!
I went to a couple other emmo/tao dealers and the owners/salespeople were pushy, condescending, untrustworthy, scumbag liars. One place pulled the old "there is someone on the phone and they're on their way to buy that bike right now" trick. The emmo zone gts I looked at was all scratched and and the paint was chipped all over the bike. Lie after lie from the London dealer.
If you want a properly assembled product, friendliness, honesty, reliability, and you want to feel good after making a purchase, GO TO RIDE THE WIND.

Jolene! Quit your lying, what are you talking about this other woman in my review, this Michel person has nothing to do with my review. I think Jolene is losing it either she's making up a totally different story or making up a fake woman because clearly I'm not a woman lol. I had bought a Ebike from Jolene and she defrauded me buy selling me a used Ebike but took my money for a brand new Ebike. And refused to refund me. I got terrible customer service by her with very messages that were not nice. She definitely had attitude.

Great experience getting an Ebike for my girlfriend. We were able to co-sign together and we got the bike less than a week later. Very affordable monthly payment and the ebike is brand new so no issues! Absolutely love the bike, but even more that my girlfriend is so happy with it:) will definitely use this company again in the future, though I don’t think we’ll need to unless we want a second bike!

Dealing with Jolene was my best sales experience to date. She was so concerned that I got the right bike for me. Very knowledgeable and did not try to oversell on items that I may or may not use.
