I've been coming here since 2004. Just saw Dr. Boeve for the first time at the end of 2023 with my cat. Dr. Boeve explained everything in detail about my senior cat. She called me with some result concerns. Everyone at front desk, and Dr Hoogers are great. Sorry to hear Dr. Carr has left this clinic. I've never had a bad experience. I highly recommend this Clinic.

Overall we've noticed a decline in care and service over the past few years, but our most recent experience has caused us to decide to find a new vet. Our boxer had what appeared to be an obstruction after eating a foreign object. When we called Ritson vet we were told this was urgent and to come in right away for xrays. A lot of fear was put on us and we felt pressured to act immediately with xrays or to go right to emergency for surgery. We trusted our vet and did the xrays. They told us that they cannot interpret them and that they send them out to a radiologist. We paid a fee to get them sent to an expert. We were told they should get looked at later that day. They didn't. We were told to come back the next morning and do a second set of xrays to be sent to the radiologist so they can look at both sets and see if the object has moved and advise if surgery is needed. We went back to Ritson the next morning as advised and paid for more xrays. We learn that the radiologist still didn't look at them and are told to wait for an update and go to emergency if things get worse. In the meantime, our dog starts to pass the object on his own, yay! At this point, Ritson acknowledges that the radiologist still hasn't looked at any of the xrays and offers to refund the $84 fee to send them to this expert. However, we are still on the hook for the $600 we paid for the 2 sets of xrays. Well xrays have no inherent value if a radiologist doesn't interpret them. Our dog luckily passes the rest of the object the next day and is now fully in the clear. We are incredibly disappointed with Ritson vet for not only the fear they instilled in us to pressure us into xrays as well as an unnecessary surgery, but we are baffled by the fact that they refuse to refund the xrays they told us were necessary, yet an expert never even looked at them. We have completely lost trust in this team and will no longer be bringing our dogs there.

Unbelievably ignorant, charged me four times the price for fortiflora when they could have simply told me I could buy it at petsmart. Unreal, needless to say I will NOT be returning. Do yourself a favor and find s vet who has some respect.

Hands down the best vets and clinics I’ve ever gone to. Dr. Hoogers has taken care of our animals for several years now and everyone at the clinic is so polite and professional.

Best vets anywhere. We LOVE this practice and would never change. Thanks to Dr. Carr, Dr. Hoogers and Dr. Boeve for providing such great care. Still our go to vet. Totally trust them.

I've have nothing but great things to say about the clinic and all the Dr's we've dealt with there. The staff is always friendly, and the doctors have never been pushy, always informative and willing to answer any questions I've had.

My dog has declined in health due to age and Ritson Vet has been an important part of his care for a very long time. They have been supportive with option to care for my senior pup and understanding and responsive. I truly feel supported by them as I am facing the most difficult decision I had to ever make. Mickey also has always been comfortable going there as well.

Unfortunately my cat is 20 years old and had stopped eating and drinking. I knew it was time to say goodbye I called to make the arrangements and they wouldn’t do the procedure without an examination. They told me it was procedure. As far as I’m concerned it’s just another money grab. Thanks so much for making the decision that much harder! Thankfully I did find a veterinarian that looked after us

I had adopted a Cavalier years ago, Emma. I chose RVC and the only thing that I regret is that I moved to Port Hope 6 years ago and it became too difficult to do the drive in an emergency with my current Cavalier, Sarah. Every doctor at RVC was exceptional. The reception staff were friendly and wonderful (Tara and Cherie) and I never felt that I was over charged or over prescribed. Emma was very high needs and she was at the clinic quite often. We were never rushed in our appointments and I was never made to feel silly (I thought Emma was bleeding from being pushed down by 3 dogs. Turns out she was just in season. That also explains the 3 dogs after her.ooops!) I saw Dr Hoogers and Dr Carr the most and I can't say enough good about them. Everybody there was so compassionate, which means so much to me. I wouldn't hesitate to go back there as soon as I move back to the area. The only people that I didn't interact with were the vet techs and I'm sure they were great as well. Thank you RVC! Donna

My own vet closed early but didn't post hours had changed. My male Doberman hurt his leg and this clinic took him in right away, even though we weren't clients. I am very grateful to all of you for making sure my boy was looked after! Thank you so much. Finn is feeling much better, because of you

Wonderful place. I'm comfortable bringing my pets here as they are safe and well cared for by the staff, they are communicative and helpful and keep things clean and sterile for everyone. And the pay is reasonable, without over pricing or under pricing their work.

This is by far the best vet place I've ever been to. Dr. Cindy Boeve was so observant of our Miss Molly (cat) and was so engaged in our issues about her and was a true caring Dr. Also want to make mention of Stacey Brand, the Client Care Rep. She was our phone contact.so helpful and caring.we just can't say enough good things about them.

Wowee, do not bother with this place, there are so many other vet clinics in this area.

If you are 11 minutes late for your appointment, they will send you away, regardless of traffic, weather, illness, or how difficult it was for you to wrangle your cat/dog/ferret/etc.into your car that morning. If you can't reschedule, it is a $50 cancellation fee.

Also got dinged with a $107 "New Client" downpayment fee - they charged me for an appointment that I never attended, since I got such lousy treatment and didn't want to go back there. So $157 total for being 11 minutes late.

They also told me that my appointment slot was only 20 minutes anyways and the doctor would have had to move on to other patients. I was bringing my cat in for something fairly serious and there is no way 20 minutes would have been enough time to treat it.

Highly recommend TAUNTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL down the road, Dr. Laura is amazing and everyone there is so nice!
