Courtesy equal to zero. We were visiting with a tour, the guide had recommended this place to us. Show up before 8pm. We arrived and were told there were no tables available
It should be noted that everything was free outside, the evening was pleasant and there were several free tables inside. The kitchen closed at 9pm.

Great experience. Loved everything we ordered: antipasti, main course & desert! The food was so Amazing that we forgot to take pictures. Having live music was a cherry on top of a perfect evening!

Even though we had a reservation it took 10 min to seat us even longer to get a drink I spent half the time waiting for another.the steak was cold and undercooked.if you charge those prices and you want people to come back you better make sure everything is just right.you failed.

Had a wonderful lunch. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly, nice and accomodating. I adviced to call ahead for reservation. I did walk-in because I know it was not a busy day on lunch time, Tuesday. I ordered seafoods linguine pasta. It was superb and I ate everything. First time I ordered Caesar clamato, so I do not have a comparison yet, but I liked it. Overall, it was a nice first experienced for me going to the restaurant.

We had a wonderful time at Riva yesterday evening! The food was delicious and the service from Alyssa was excellent. We were visiting the area for a few days and needed to see if the positive reviews about the restaurant were true. They are! We will definitely visit again.

Very nice place to eat. The food was excellent. Mostly Italian. Outside seating was quaint and quiet. Nice atmosphere. The service staff was very good. They make their pizza fresh.

Visited Riva for the first time for a birthday dinner for a member of my family. Had heard good things about this restaurant for years, so we wanted to check it out. There are many positives about Riva. The food was very good. Cocktails were good. Appetizers of Escargot, Caprese salad and Beef Carpaccio were well received. Two pasta mains of Sausage Truffle Gnocchetti and Steak Penne were also delicious. Third entree of Bistecca strip loin was good, but maybe a little overpriced for the quality. Desserts of Tiramisu and Italian Chocolate Mousse pudding was also good. Server Mackenzie was friendly and attentive.

My only really issue was the timing of service. We had hardly started our appetizers when the mains arrived at our table. The server was surprised how fast they came out and did apologize, as did someone who I can only assume was the owner or manager. I felt I had to rush eating my appetizer to ensure I got to my main in a timely manner. My main was good, but not as hot as I would have liked considering it sat there while I finished my appetizer. Not sure if this is an issue with the kitchen or servers being told to turn over tables, but it should be addressed considering this restaurant seems to consider itself finer dining based on its menu and prices.

Like to think we will return, just to see if this was an anomaly. Hopefully not the norm. Also a little surprised that there seems to be no responses to any reviews from management.

Best pizza I had in a long time. I had a take away and the service was really good. The staff was extremely friendly, the kitchen was neat and so were the toilets

Great atmosphere, lovely patio, other than that everything was a disappointment. Had the spaghetti with garlic and olive oil. The spaghetti was evidently boxed, the rockets were bitter (way beyond normal rocket bitter), and the olive oil in it was mediocre at best. You would expect fresh ground pepper, but nada. Tiramisu was also a disaster. Server was not knowledgeable about the wines and couldn’t prononounce anything on the menu correctly. This place is NOT an Italian restaurant. One of the worst cases of value for the money I ever encountered. Terribly overrated. The people leaving all the glowing reviews have apparently never been to a decent Italian restaurant.

Went for dinner and everything was good. Portion sizes are decent - unfortunately, things have just gotten so expensive.

Just had an exceptional dining experience at Riva.
Great table for two outside by the fountain on the rear patio.
Our server was experienced, friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
We started with sharing an order of sourdough bread, polpette meatballs and a Caesar salad.
For mains we had the Gnocchetti alla Norcina and the Tagliatelle Bolognese.
For dessert raspberry cheesecake and Coppetto (a version of an ice cream sundae)
We mentioned earlier in the evening it was a birthday celebration and when dessert arrived there was a birthday candle in the ice cream sundae.
Highly recommend Riva Restaurant will definitely be back again.

It was our first time here and we loved the food and ambiance. Mains are fairly priced but what they charge for bread and wine is a bit much. When we go back we will likely not order wine or if we do not tip on that portion of the bill.

Went for a second time and will likely be our last. There are so many places with better food and service. As a woman I am so tired of having the wait staff cow tie to the men. I ordered the wine. No he is not tasting it, I am! My family has a winery in BC I know tons more than most others as I have my WSET levels as well.

So besides the service sucking waiting to place our order, etc. Steak chewy, pasta cold, dessert salty WHY?

Wonderful food. A fancier restaurant but they still managed to accommodate a table of 14 with 5 children.

We ordered a salad and a pizza. Both were disappointing. The salad did not impress, and the Americano pizza which should have fed 2 people was probably enough for one person. As you can see from the picture much of it was just crust. The minimum ingredients according to Google is pepperoni, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese on a tomato sauce. They left out the mushrooms, and were not generous with the cheese or pepperoni. Cost $22.00 What they call a large Caesar Salad for $18.00 was really a small salad in a wide bowl. We will not go back. As for the restaurant and terrace, just beautiful.

So the food was ok it was pretty mid but the portions were so tiny that I thought I was ordering off the kids menu (I wasn’t) there prices were outrageous it was $30 for some pasta who charges $30 for pasta! Don’t go here it’s a waste of time and especially MONEY.
