Robertson House Retirement Community by Spring Living

Beware of Robertson House. The Executive Director is not compassionate or empathetic. When speaking with her she comes across as very dismissive and unhelpful in regards to solving issues that I’ve had with my mom. The sales consultant; Catherine seemed nice at first but I learned she will tell you anything you want to hear just to get you to sign a lease agreement. She is very disingenuous. The home itself is very dirty, not kept clean very well. Many of the staff just sit around on their phones. The only positive thing I have noticed was the activities and reception staff are pleasant!

Great experience with Robertson House since day one. The location is great and the management and staff are fantastic. Always a warm and inviting feeling when going and with the new renovations coming along-the building is looking great and refreshed! Highly recommend!

I've been a service provider for Robertson House for several years now and can't say enough about the friendly caring staff and overall warm welcoming atmosphere. Truly a place to call home.

I have been in the working in the retirement industry for past 20 years, Robertson house is an outstanding community, a great group of residents and staff, and has made this place a very welcoming and enjoyable community to be a part of.

The staff Robertson House is AMAZING. They are so caring with my mom and really go above and beyond and keep us informed with her care. We knew it was the place after we had an amazing tour with their sales consultant, she really took the time with us and listened to all our questions and concerns and made us feel at ease in making this big decision.

If you are looking for a safe place for your loved one this is it. Nanju, Amal and Renu are extremely kind and compassionate. We recently had to put our mom in law in a home and the process was horrendous. The Ottawa hospital made it SO hard for us to get information and they would not help at all in the process. Not even to give us the information needed to get her the equipment she needed. In comes the Robertson House. In a world where everyone created problems for us, they created solutions. And with a smile at that. Thank you!

This retirement home is overpriced for the level of care and has too few staff on site to accommodate the number of seniors. As a result many seniors residing here are left unattended for lengthy periods of time. I experienced this firsthand with my mother who resided there for a period of time before having her relocated. On many occasions residents with dementia, lack of balance, etc.were left sitting alone in the lunch room with no staff nearby.

Dad has been in "assisted living" at Robertson for well over a year and we normally drop by twice a week.
The staff and residents are caring and responsive. The meals are varied and good tasting. When health issues arise the staff takes the necessary steps to address them promptly.
The amenities and activities offered are good but do not include the swimming pool, exercise equipment room, pool room or bar seen at some other retirement facilities. It should be noted however that those "missing" features are geared towards active, generally younger, seniors and those we visited had a basic monthly rental near double that at Robertson.

My Uncle has been at Robertson House for over 2 years and we all are so pleased with the excellent care always given with such compassion and kindness. He loves participating in the various activities and his spirits have really improved. We enjoy having our meals with him as the food is delicious with most of it made from scratch. If you are looking for a warm friendly caring clean home, you won't be disappointed with Robertson House.
