I'd give a zero star rating if I could.

Unfortunately we've find this location to sell expired products on more than a few separate visits.

Most recently, an entire case of pop which we don't normally purchase.

After calling head office to explain that we didn't have the invoice from the grocery bill, they took some information ie; sku numbers and lot numbers on the case.

The representative from
no frills client service assured me that it would be alright to head to the store for an exchange anytime within 14 days.

When I got there, they wouldn't exchange it. I mentioned that customer service said they would exchange for the same product non expired, however it was still a NO!

No receipt, no exchange, regardless of what customer service representatives say.

I left the case there for them and ask that they dispose of it.

Note:
Check the expiration dates
(Especially when you're paying full price). These guys are notorious for this.

With a shopping cart in hand & grocery bags ready to shop, I decided to leave the store and take my business up the street.

After calling customer service again, they changed their tune and the rep I spoke with this time says it's at the stores discretion.

Realizing that it's our responsibility to check expiry dates when shopping, I do also give fault to the store and management for stocking expired products for sale.

Not good business IMO.
Will not be a returning customer.
It's a matter of principle at this point.
Very shallow for NO FRILLS in Richmond Hill (Oak Ridges Location).

This store is disgusting! Both products and customer service are equally terrible! I’ve only lived down here again for a couple of months and already there’s been several instances of buying groceries and having them already spoilt! For example, today I bought some cream only to have it curdle in my coffee! And last time I bought a beverage for my daughter that was expired! This is not the only instance either, there has been produce literally sitting there, mouldy like the pomegranates a couple weeks ago. This is totally unacceptable. From now on, I am shopping at Food Basics. No frills management needs to get their act together
ETA: And the worst part of this experience was trying to return the curdled cream! I showed them the purchase on my CIBC app and optimum because I forgot the receipt at home and they actually gave me a hard time because I didn’t have the actual receipt. The old hag actually gave me a hard time and wasn’t going to let me return the cream, so I threw it down and walked out with my cream. There is NO way I’m wasting MORE gas to go back home for a receipt for a **three dollar** little carton of cream. Never ever shopping at this dump again! And from the looks of all the other one star reviews, a lot of other people feel the same way about this horrible store! Management needs to do some thing about the people that work here and the fact they’re selling spoiled garbage to people and then have the nerve to give them a hard time when they try to return/exchange expired goods that they just bought! People are struggling to afford food, and we should not be expected to pay for rotten groceries!

The lady that her name is Patricia and she said she is supervisor, she has attitude and very disrespectful, I had a very bad experience with her I asked her who’s your manager to talk and she said I’m the supervisor here, so I couldn’t find someone to report her and complain hopefully someone in charge can read it here and tell her to change herself with customers

Nice store; clean, and tidy. It is smaller than the average No Frills store, so one should not expect depth in shopping options.

I like that store, everything is on the right place, so it's easy to find what you need! Always fresh vegetables, fruits and berries! Thanks!

Today, I saw (cashier) staff yelled at an elderly lady. The female cashier was yelling at her. Accusing her of stealing her own reusable bag. Because it had a tag on it.
You could clearly see it was used. I have seen this lady here so many times. For that cashier to be so rude, frustrated me. Why be so rude.

That cashier needs sensitivity training. The cashier should have called over a manager. The elderly Lady deserves compassion. For being treated in such a manner

I only buy there sometimes because it's close to my home.
You must be careful with expiry dates on products and wrong pricing.
The management doesn't seem to care about anything in that store
Cashiers and supervisors are usually students

A very helpful grocery store in town. I get mostly the vegetables and fruits from this store. It’s tidy and in order.

Place is run by teenagers. At night too many female teen workers just standing by the self checkout and having a nice chat in a circle.

I like the store overall, but my biggest complaint is that there is no island on the parking lot where you can return carts. You have to carry them back to the entrance. It is very inconvenient. Not customer friendly.

Pretty great no frills with their own butcher section which is rare. Large parking lot and decent selection. Self check out doesn't let you take in your cart however which is a little inconvenient.

I do like this location. I love the self checkouts!
Although it is not legally required, it is still recommended by health professionals to wear a mask.
I was disappointed to see management not wearing a mask today.

The franchise has changed hands and is now called "Rob's No Frills".
The quality of vegetables is average perhaps due to supply issues.

Smaller store, but had the 1 item that I've been looking for (keg horseradish) so very happy, produce looked good and meat area seemed well stocked. Parking lot is busy, store is well marked for social distancing, and had Sanitizor at the door. Overall would recommend this store! Will definitely return.

This no frills is one of the better no frills I've been to. A lot better than the new one in Newmarket. Really good variety of food products, and staff is friendly and good at their jobs.

The vegetables and fruits always great variety. Shelves are nicely packed. Cashing out is quick!

Every time I come to this store to buy advertised products on sale they are out of stock,
And do not know when or if getting more, is this miss advertising?
I will not ever go back to this location

When its on promo its got the best prices but they are low on supplies for a lot of the discount items everytime they have a promo

The interior lighting was dim and the item I was looking for wasn't there, so I just looked around and left.

I have been to so many No Frills stores and I have met many polite, responsible and friendly staff. Unfortunately, I have had the worst experience in this location with the cashiers. Many of them treat you with an attitude. They throw the bags you want or the receipt. Greeting is too much to expect from them, of course, but they also seem not to have learned the answer to “thank you“. Worst customer service ever, and it wasn’t just one or two occasions.

Almost all the items I bought in reasonable price. The cashier who served me was polite. Thank for the good service. I give 4.

Not good, went early thinking everything would be fresh, clean & neat. Disaster. Produce NOT FRESH "some actually rotting on shelves" dairy very disheveled on shelves & some items passed due date. Last time to frequent that store ever.

A lot of produce is not fresh, even rotting. Store is not well maintained, international foods are limited and the store seems disorganized. Space is limited, but sticking random trays in the middle of small aisles makes it hard to squeeze through with a cart. This location is the closest for me but when I shop there I always find myself having to go to another grocery store for missing items.

I did my shopping in this store for many years, I went to the store slipped on very wet floor, went flying, reported it to manager. Two weeks later no one from the store call to ask if I was ok, very poor customer relations. I'm still in pain by the way my back is killing me.

I have been shopping here for two decades now. This store is always clean and well stocked. Employees are friendly and helpful. One of the best No Frills around!

Today I had a very bad experience with this senior cashier (Julie)! She was so rude and not listening to me at all and threw my stuff with attitude!
I was surprised and I thought maybe she had a bad day but this not the way serving a customer.
Everybody works hard but this kind of behaviour is not acceptable at all

Unfortunately I'm extremely disappointed!
I bought a milk yesterday and it was expired and because I didn't keep the recipt they could not do the exchange. I mean I paid with my card, how come in any other store they can do that?

During the Covid -19 Period. All people line up on the street but staffs wondering around inside the store and do nothing.not appreciate what they did. They don't tell customers that they had 3 staffs covid cases happened in this supermarket until i found it out on news.too scary and too bad safety service

Super busy, very small store entrance. I did not see any hand sanitizer stations, to be fair I could have missed seeing it with the amount of people. This is not my usual No Frills store, just happened to be in the area and needed two items. I saw a lot of staff around which is nice if you need help!

I had 2 bad experience with the cashiers. They are meant and bad attitude especially for those seniors cashiers, they are having a serious attitude issues to their customers at no frills. This is my second time with these poor experience, I rather go to sobeys and others, they are more professional than this no fill at this location. Sorry

Don’t be fooled by the items on sale in the flyers! Went to the store 3 days in a row for the walnuts on sale, never saw even one! Asked several store staff and was told they only get it the first day and nothing the rest of the three days. So why does the flyer say from “Thursday to Sunday” when it was only available on “Thursday” and the stores never get anymore of the sale items after the first day? Why do you waste people’s time? ! What a shame nofrills!

Today I had an experience that I will never forget, and as you can tell by my one star, it’s wasn’t a good one.

Today while shopping in the bread aisle, I was stopped by a gentleman who came right in front of my cart, bent down and pulled a RAT TRAP from under the bread shelving. This man was an exterminator, I quickly figured out. I was completely shocked at what was taking place in front of me, a customer. The man opened the trap with no consideration of who was around or what may be found in his trap, took a picture of the trap, slid it back under the shelving and went on his way to check the others in the store. Now don’t be confused, I’m aware stores take this precaution, HOWEVER, I firmly believe this should not be done during operating hours! Had the trap had a rodent in it and been opened right in front of me or any customer, this would be extremely detrimental to the stores reputation.

No Frills, how are you allowing this to happen during operating hours, this is utterly disgusting!

I wish I could attach the picture that I will undoubtably be posting on other social media accounts, as well as forwarding with a letter to Galen Weston. Hopefully Galen Weston reviews his customers experiences and makes a change here.

This store is already a bad location for many reasons, especially the numerous products that are expired lining all the aisles, but this experience takes the place for number one.

Not returning ever again, there’s obviously no concern for customers and their experiences.

I went to shop last week, I asked the supervisor if they Clean the registers belt it was so dirty, she answered me we have no time Because we are so busy. We are in a pandemic and cleanliness is the most important for our safety, please management you make sure your staff clean and sanitize the registers belts and the pinpad after customer.it's really really dirty.

One of best place to do grocery shopping with friendly staffs. Always instock. Net and clean store. Parking is Available easily.

I really like this location. Staff are very helpful, fresh produce, and clean. It has self checkout. Staff speak proper English. Highly recommend it. The owner is there too and he is helpful.

If you're on your way just a few clicks up the road to a better store, there's no reason to stop here. This location is too small for comfort. Understocked and poorly organized, this store is also using a serpentine rat-maze like design for a barricaded access to the checkouts. Making it worse, the barricades consist of product tables piled as high as an elephants eye so you can quite thoroughly impact them with your cart as you make your way through the needlessly circuitous line and knock a few bundles on the floor just for fun. Only 4 or so km north is a better one of these stores, so go there instead.

The quality of the produce seems to be getting worse these days. Also, items that are on special in the flyer seem always to be out of stock. This is on the morning of the first day of the specials.
I find Food Basics just up the road a much better store to shop at.

NO FRILLS STORE IN OAKRIDGES IS SCAMMING CUSTOMERS. The manager refuses to comply with the ONTARIO Scan Policy.
We bought item Nanak Paneer today the price on the item did not scan correctly it was higher than the advertised price. We asked the cashier to comply with the ONTARIO scan policy which says if the merchandise doesn’t scan correctly the store must offer the Customer the lower price or up to $10.00 no charge. Please watch at the register before paying No Frills May be charging you more than the actual price.

Nearly half of the items in produce section don't have price labels. Saturday afternoon and they're already out of sale items.

The entrance is located at the side of the building rather then at the front which may be difficult to find. The location is preety small compared to other no frills locations but still offers a variety of basic products and fresh vegetables. Parking lot is preety small though and sometimes it may be difficult to find parking. The store itself is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

There always seems to be something on sale here for cheaper than even their already cheap regular prices. They're owned by Loblaws, which also owns T&T, so sometimes you can find food brands from those supermarket chains here too!

A bit sketchy and dirty compared to some of the others in town. Could use a reorganization of their product and the staff could be a bit more cheerful
