Rockcliffe Park and the Rockeries

Beautiful scenic park lovely setting along the ottawa river. Chalet looks awesome although I did not enter or explore it. Decent amount of parking.

A very lovely place in summer, good views off the river and even with traffic close by it very quiet place. Good for outdoor meetings but for smallish groups due to parking.

Lovely area. Seldomly taken care of by landscapers. Lot's of open space qnd benches for a picnic or to bring the kids/pets over to play.

Along the bike trail that intersects the city, very easy to get around. Parking lots nearby to park your car and bike for the day

Good family picnic and bbq point. Clean Public toilets and fresh drinking water facility. The only thing to this park is the restricted view of the otherside or marina.

The park is a really nice place to go and have fun with family or friends. I would recommend going if you would want to chill with friends or family.

Great place to practising dancing under the stars. Spacious and clean. Parking is a little tight

It's too rich too describe, you'd have to explore the architecture yourself. The building is amzingly flawless and speaks for itself. It's great for anything that means moments, history, statements, photographs, and events like weddings.
Toilets are available too and a nice drinkable water fountain, this amongst the beautiful field it boats next to out governor generals headquarters.

Such a beautiful piece of history.needs some repair and doesn't look like its been used officially for awhile but just imagine the parties!

Having seen historic ruins and fountains in Europe and Greece before I found the Rockeries to be disappointing and not that interesting. I think only worth a 5 minute look and to take some silly photos. And yes I did take a few of those while I was there lol
Yet the Rockcliffe park is awesome with its great space to walk your dog, look at flowers and enjoy the open fields.
I suggest that if you are in this area you walk to the nearby RCMP horse stables and go to the Aviation museum. Also bring a picnic lunch and blanket so that you can have fun bonding with nature.

I grew up with this lovely park in my backyard
Only difference is that drive through by pavilion was a popular place for hot dogs and ice cream when I was young.

Picturesque, clean, safe, small parking lot, bike friendly, picnic area. Some people brought their pets to play. Overlooking Ottawa river and gatineau.

Amazing area. Very quiet.furthermore across the street is a decent area to take your dog off leash near Rockcliffe and Lisgar Rd.

Great view of the starting place in the Ottawa area. Great information resources at this site. A wonderful view of the Ottawa River overlooking the Quebec side of the river. A don't miss sight when visiting the Capital of Canada.

Amazing views and for a place that has a considerable amount of visitors, it still maintains a certain natural beauty.

Its a beautifull park. Its also close to the rockcliff lookout and you can grab a drink their on one of the few waterfront restaurants. Also there are washrooms.

Bel endroit sur le bord de la rivière des Outaouais sur la rive ontarienne. J'aime y aller les jours ensoleillés pour y prendre mon café matinal et y faire de la lecture. Belles opportunités de prises de photos. Route à sens unique. Il faut y être prudent pusique certains usagers circulent dans le sens contraire ainsi que plusieurs cyclismes et piétons sur la route.

Great place to stop at during a hike or a bike ride through Rockcliffe Park. Nice views and a typically quiet central building with public washrooms and quaint seating areas.
