My 8 year old child was introduced to the virtual cooking classes and has become hooked! She has done 3 classes in the last 7 weeks consisting of stove-top, pan frying and baking methods. The Chefs are amazing and the classes are really geared to child friendly learning.

As parents/supervisors, you do have to read the Workshop Package and prepare as indicated before the class. This prep work makes it A LOT easier for the child.

My little one has so much confidence in (and out) of the kitchen and is eager to learn new things. She has also learned kitchen safety techniques that I strongly believe are required.

For the cost of the virtual workshops, families are definitely getting a steal.

A must try for anyone who knows kids (8-17) who want to get into the kitchen or just make a fun recipe.

We signed up our girls to the Whitby summer baking program. It was a fabulous camp for our kids who love cooking. I wish they offered more opportunities for the kids to measure and prep the meal but I understand managing that many kids and a larger age range would be difficult. The food that they brought home was very good and the kids were proud of their dishes. They balanced the cooking with physical activity and crafts which was a nice break. Our 9 year old wanted more real prepping and cooking but our 8 year old was satisfied.

My kids (age 5 and 8) went to the beginners’ baking camp at Lawrence / Bathurst and they loved it. They learned useful life skill, made their own lunch, made new friends, and most importantly came out with a new found admiration for people who cook. To quote my son, “you can’t sit down at all when you’re cooking! ” Our whole family enjoyed everything about the camp - the experience, the treats they bring home every day, and the new skills that my kids are now keen to show off… Chef V, Chef Sarah, Chef Annie, Chef Natasha, Chef Mila, Chef Anthony are all wonderful, knowledgeable and super patient with young kids. So grateful for this camp and I recommend it to all families:)

This was the second year my boys attended Rooks to Cooks summer camp (Richmond Hill location), and I cannot say enough good things about it! My boys loved everything about the camp, and best of all they are transfering their skills to home, and have started making dinners using the recipes they learned at camp
04 September 2023 19:00
My son had an amazing week doing 'baking for beginners' at the High Park location. Usually upon camp pick-up, it is a struggle to get one or two words out of him about how his day was, what he did, who he met, etc etc. But for this week at Rooks to Cooks, he was bubbling with excitement to tell me all about his baking adventures, and beaming with pride at his delicious creations!
02 September 2023 8:35
Our daughter attended the Sweet and Savoury camp at Rooks to Cooks at the Bathurst Location. On the first day she brought home the most amazing chocolate brioche which we devoured. The rest of the week we were spoiled with more treats. Chef Laura was an amazing culinary guide in our r daughter’s group and we are thrilled that our daughters experience was this positive. I Highly recommend this camp.
26 August 2023 3:14
My son LOVED this camp! He announced he would like to come back next summer after his first day. The College and Bathurst location was amazing - the most friendly and talented staff. The food they made was spectacular.
24 August 2023 13:45
My daughter attended this camp 4 times now. She absolutely loves it. Baking is her passion, and she always has a blast at camp. She comes home so happy everyday, but exhausted from the hard work. She loves working with chef Matt. He’s so great with the kids and truly loves what he’s doing. The food is incredible, and the skill they learn is invaluable. Thank you chef Matt and his team at the Richmond Hill location. She will be back winter break and next summer I’m sure!
23 August 2023 1:24
My daughter attended the North York camp off Bogert. She absolutely loved trying new recipes and was especially challenged by the top chef challenges. The pop up on the final day was an extra treat for the parents! Well done!
21 August 2023 12:15
Chef Melissa and laura at college and Bathurst rooms to cooks and all the crew were awesome! Love our new little cook’s dishes. And the restaurant was super fun!
20 August 2023 9:38
Amazing cooking program for kids on the Danforth, ending with a delightful dinner for parents and families all prepared and served by the kids. Great Job
13 August 2023 1:06
Pop up was amazing! That was the best cheesecake I've ever tasted! Way to go Etobicoke chefs! You're the greatest ever
31 October 2022 8:06
My daughter just finished her week at the East York Danforth location and to say we love it is an understatement. The staff were incredible and the food was so good! Definitely signing her up again next year!
19 October 2022 23:57
My 8 year old attended 1 week of summer camp at the Etobicoke-Rathburn location and absolutely loved everything. She did not stop talking about all they learned and was so excited to go every day. By far my favourite part was the Friday restaurant, all the kids did such an awesome job! She can't wait to come back next summer.
18 October 2022 17:49
My kids, 9 and 12, attended two camps, Budding Bakers and Around the World at the Etobicoke Rathburn location. The kids really do all the cooking themselves and brought home wonderful dishes. They had a blast, learned a lot, and the picky eater is more adventurous now. The staff were amazing too - Mina, Miranda, Camilla and Clay - I hope they are back next year!
18 October 2022 7:17
My daughter had an amazing week at the Bloordale Etobicoke location! The staff was just amazing - very welcoming and professional. All I could hear after the camp day was the recipes that they made and how much fun that was:) she really started to develop a passion for food, which is amazing! The pop up restaurant was great as well - the food was delicious and the kids had great time serving and cooking for parents. What an incredible week - the best summer camp my daughter did hands down.
12 October 2022 6:41
My 10 year old son attended Rooks to Cooks: Perfecting Pastries, Etobicoke Bloordale location.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. The foundation to any good company are their staff, and let me tell you that Chef Steve, Chef Jaclyn and Chef Sarah were nothing short of amazing.

My son is not always the most motivated as he has some anxiety around meeting new friends, trying to experiences and trying new foods! These chefs were not just good at cooking, they truly cared about my boy and gave him the understanding and confidence he needed. By the end of the week, he was cooking and trying new foods (at home too!) and had a smile on his face upon pick up each day.

The pop up restaurant was the most incredible experience for both of us! My son learned how the roles and etiquette it takes to run a restaurant. He was given the role as a server and I overheard him say to another server, "remember to give them about 3 minutes to chat before checking in on them to see if they need anything. " And that food? Honestly delicious. Really, really good! I think I gained 5 pounds this week though.

At the end of the week, he graduated and received a certificate of completion. He also won the All-Star award where he was recognized for his effort, kindness, willingness to learn, etc. I was so proud as lots of those skills are typically struggles for him. I owe it all to the chefs who believed in him and knew how to motivate him to try his best.

The life skills and self-esteem he built through attending Rooks to Cooks was worth every penny for this camp. I *highly* recommend it! Thank you to all the staff at this location, they truly were the best. We will be returning!
09 October 2022 6:03
Worth every penny! It has been a week of exploration, adventure and delight for the whole family. My son was the youngest in his session. I was worried he would get lost in the shuffle, but he absolutely thrived and shone. Chef Maysaa and her team at the Yonge and Shepard location made him feel comfortable and come out of his shell — and most important instilled in him an incredible sense of responsibility and pride in his work. The Pop Up Restaurant was a thrill. It was incredible to watch him and all of his camp mates take so much pride in creating a professional experience for the parent patrons. One boy I spoke to in line on the very first day told me “I’m scared about camp” and he was my waiter at the Pop Up Restaurant, chatting everyone at the table up and warming all of our hearts. I will recommend this camp to anyone! Thank you, thank you, thank you
03 October 2022 22:04
I had the absolute delight to attend the Pop-up at the East York Danforth location. It was so much fun seeing all that the kids had accomplished throughout the week. I would 100% recommend for kids learning to cook. It truly was a magical experience that will stay in my heart.
27 September 2022 23:25
This is my child's first time joining this cooking camp and she enjoys it very much. She is definitely more confident in front of the stove and she can't wait to show me all she can do. She didn't just learn to cook but also the preparation and cleaning afterwards. She already talks about signing up next year and getting her friends to go with her.
23 September 2022 12:01
I volunteered at the East York Danforth location for 4 weeks, the staff were amazing and made the experience for us volunteers and all the campers awsome and truly unforgettable. The chefs I had the delight of working with were Chef Branden, Chef Abi, Chef Maddie, and Chef Sierra. Thank you Rooks to Cooks for an amazing summer.
23 September 2022 2:14
So glad to have found this camp for my son! His week at the Bathurst and Lawrence location was such a hit- he picked up a variety of great skills, built up his self confidence and filled our fridge with loads of yummy foods! The graduation and restaurant to cap it off was such a sweet ending. Thanks Rooks to Cooks!
19 September 2022 0:22
My daughter Mina had the best time and has learned a lot of useful skills and has gained confidence! She'll be back for more!
17 September 2022 14:59
My daughter just finished a 5-day summer camp at their Etobicoke location (Rathburn Rd.) and she absolutely loved it! The theme was Around the World and each night she came home with wonderful creations that she had prepared. She can't wait to do another cooking camp/program with them. Big shoutout to Chef Mina and Chef Clay for instilling such confidence in the kids! The pop up restaurant on the last night is a great experience for family/friends and the budding young chefs!
13 September 2022 9:06
My 11 year old son Matthew just completed the Around the World camp at the College and Bathurst location. He was absolutely thrilled to get up every day to go to camp (which is not the norm). I was shocked at the sophisticated and diverse recipes the kids cooked. The pride he exhibited everyday was wonderful. The Chefs were excellent leaders and instilled confidence in the kids. The Pop-Up Restaurant was an event to remember. Matt was a bartender making non-alcoholic margaritas and took his job very seriously! I hope he can share his newfound expertise with his father now! Thanks again, we will be enrolling him again next summer.
12 September 2022 0:57
I had such a wonderful time volunteering at the East York Danforth location. It was an absolute pleasure to have worked at this amazing and awe-inspiring place, and I wish to work again in the future. The chefs there were super nice and I had a fabulous time working with them. I would definitely recommend parents to enroll their children into this magical experience that is like no other. The environment is fun-filled and everyone has such amazing personalities whether the chefs or the kids. Though I have only been here for 2 weeks, it was the best two weeks I’ve had all summer. I am definitely going to volunteer next summer again, as the amount of fun I had is indescribable. I also deeply recommend anyone looking for volunteer hours in high school to work here. Again, it was an absolute pleasure to have worked here.
11 September 2022 0:03
The Rooks to Cooks chefs are so encouraging and thoughtful. We had a wonderful experience at the Scarborough location and Chef Jen is the best! Can’t wait for next summer!
10 September 2022 11:25
Wonderful experience for our 9 and 11 year old. Very professionally run, food turns out great, and at the end of a full week session, watching the kids help create a full restaurant experience for their families is priceless. Back next summer for sure.
10 September 2022 1:55
My niece just finished her first week at the Bathurst and Lawrence location and we couldn’t be more impressed! Everything is well organized and the recipes are absolutely delicious. The pop up restaurant at the end of the week was so impressive and the kids got so into it! She can’t wait to go back!
06 September 2022 10:41
My daughter is shy and scared of all camps. By far this is her favorite camp to go to. No whining and fussing. She raves about it every night coming home, along with all the fantastic food we get to sample! She learnt so much from the ‘around the world’ week at the Markham location. She can now chop without being scared of a knife! As parents, our favorite part was the pop-up restaurant on Friday, we were rewarded with what was learnt. The food was absolutely spectacular, the presentation was exactly world class. She can’t wait to go back! Thank you!
05 September 2022 8:57
Amazing program and teachers! We went to the Etobicoke - Bloor location for one week of camp and the staff there got the kids excited about not only making and eating food, but about the cooking techniques, flavours, instrument use, safety, and even cleaning. They were so inspired which has extended over beyond camp. And the end of week pop-up restaurant was such an exciting experience for them, and taught them great real world skills.
29 August 2022 23:00
I have never smiled so much on the last day of a camp as I did with the Rooks for Cooks (Beaches location) summer camp. Seeing my son proudly work as a chef at the end-of-week restaurant was just fantastic. It felt like his first taste of a real world job, and he loved it.
29 August 2022 3:54
Our 9-year old daughter, Peregrine, attended the Rooks to Cooks and had a wonderful experience. She made a series of dishes that I wouldn't have expected her to be able to make, and came home with much more confidence and interest in the kitchen. She made us dinner that first night home!

I also appreciated that the camp made an exception for her - she was put in a 10-12 session after we had to change plans due to a family visit and couldn't do our original camp week.

It's a great program for any young person interested in cooking.
19 November 2021 10:47
We have been doing virtual classes through Rooks to Cooks for the past year and my almost 9 yo loves it. Chef Carm and Chef Barbie are absolute superstars. Energetic, knowledgeable and engaging. We have booked a virtual birthday party with them and suspect it will be a wonderful event!
30 October 2021 9:32
My 9 year old daughter did both the virtual and in-person Rooks to Cooks summer camp this year. She enjoyed everything about this camp and so did I! She learned so much in this really well-organized camp. She still has her Rooks to Cooks recipe book handy and on a weekly basis, makes some of the most impressive, delicious meals for her family and friends. She's looking forward to learning more techniques and recipes in the Rooks to Cooks camp next year. Thank you chefs!
08 October 2021 11:05
My 9 yr old just completed her first virtual cooking class with Chef Carm super happy with the class and Chef was amazing, patient and very good. Thankyou for teaching her today. Keep up the amazing work.
The Quiche Lorraine and Creme Brule were delish!
25 August 2021 9:08
In the past 5 weeks I worked at Rooks to Cooks as a Practicum Student from the Concurrent Education program at Queens University. I used this opportunity to learn about educators and teaching in a non-traditional classroom setting. Through this experience, I learned so much about teaching and how children learn. It was such a fun, inviting, and supportive environment which allowed me to observe effective teaching approaches. The kids in this program were so wonderful to teach. They were creative and innovative, with such a drive to cook, even at a young age. It was heart-warming to see this type of passion from children learning new skills. I had the privilege to help and observe 4 classes, taught by 3 different chefs. These chefs were all very professional, fun, and knowledgeable. They knew how to articulate cooking/baking techniques to the students in a way that was engaging and easily comprehendible. It was truly a pleasure to learn teaching techniques from these amazing chefs. I was also lucky enough to work personally with Chef Shai in a curriculum designing role. Chef Shai is the most welcoming, supportive and insightful educator who generously shared her time to mentor me. I learned so much from Chef Shai and will never forget the expertise and perspectives that she gave me. Working at Rooks to Cooks was such an amazing experience that anyone would be so lucky to have. I would thoroughly recommend this program to anyone as a teacher candidate, intern, or rookie chef!

We just hosted a virtual sushi making birthday party for my daughters 11th birthday. What a unique and engaging opportunity to learn something new, expand budding culinary skills and celebrate with friends! Communication through booking was clear, fast and detail oriented Which I appreciated. And our assigned Chef (Carm) was incredibly knowledgeable, energetic and and engaging. I can’t believe how delicious and professional the girls sushi turned out at the end of the session. My daughter was hesitant to have a virtual party as she is like most kids in Ontario exhausted by screen time and zoom meets. But she’s so thrilled I encouraged this party as it exceeded our expectations!
03 May 2021 9:58
My daughters (10 and 12) did a number of the spring break classes (macarons, sushi/miso soup, doughnuts, marshmallows, chocolate lava cakes) and they were all excellent! The Chefs are all professional, patient and fun. The recipes all tasted delicious. The virtual setting did not take away from any of the fun or teaching - the Chef (and a sous chef) is very responsive to questions from the kids and in the chat box. One of the benefits of virtual is I got to watch my kids develop their culinary skills and have some fun with them. While the classes are totally suitable for kids to do on their own (based on their age/experience etc.) parents are needed for some recipes for safety (e.g. Pouring hot liquids). I would definitely recommend these classes - don't let the virtual aspect dissuade you!
25 April 2021 2:44
Chef Donna and Kayleigh hosted a great virtual cooking class for myself and a group of university students (all in our mid 20s). It was super fun and the food we made was delicious! Would recommend to anyone looking for a good online fun team activity:)
21 April 2021 19:01
My daughter just completed a winter weekend virtual session and loved loved loved learning from Chef Carm. Thank you for creating a program that taught her the essentials, built up her confidence in the kitchen and encouraged her creative spirit. She had a amazing time. Looking forward to the next session. She can’t wait!
09 April 2021 11:14
I did a virtual chocolate lava cake charity cooking class with Chef Shai and it was truly amazing. Shai knows her stuff and makes the class enjoyable, fun and great for all skill levels. Even better, making the lava cakes in the comfort of my own kitchen gave me the confidence that I could make this recipe again (which I already have!). I highly recommend Rooks to Cooks for virtual cooking lessons during this time as they are very professional, engaging and fun for the whole family! I can't wait to join another class in the near future!
09 March 2021 17:54
Rooks to Cooks virtual programs are the one good thing to come out of COVID! We live on the West coast and would never have had the opportunity to try out this school if they hadn't gone virtual. The programs were an excellent replacement to our usual December activities that were cancelled this year. We did a number of classes over the break, and I have seen my daughter's kitchen skills and confidence improve in a short period of time. She has become a more adventurous eater and tried some new dishes when we did the Festive Foods program with Chef Shai (who is not only a talented chef but also a skilled teacher). We also combined art and cuisine with a variety of holiday baking and decorating classes, and family members now wait each week for their delivery of baked goods (which are some of the best recipes that I have tasted)! My daughter has collected a number of her own favourite recipes from Rooks to Cooks and now makes them independently! We are looking forward to our next set of classes and recommend the school to everyone with children!
03 March 2021 4:18
We participated in the Virtual Winter Camp program for two weeks with our 7½-year-old daughter. What an amazing experience it was for her. Not only did she gain confidence with "real" cooking and baking - knife skills, handling eggs, mixing, measuring, handling chocolate, and a whole lot more! - she prepared some fabulous meals and desserts. What impressed us was the combination of professional knowledge of the instructor (Chef Carm), and his patience and genuine love for teaching children. Each class was filled with serious cooking and baking mixed generously with goofy fun that kept the children engaged and interested. By the end of the two weeks, the children worked with such focus and concentration, you'd almost think they were ready for a Gordon Ramsey kitchen.

The programs are not inexpensive, but well worth the price if you want to instill a love of preparing good food. Be forewarned, though, that parental supervision is required for setup, cleanup, and during the classes. Highly recommended.
02 March 2021 8:34
My 11 year old son loves the Rooks to Cooks virtual workshops! This is not your usual cooking class. Real chefs teach your child how to create impressive - and delicious - recipes that strike the right balance between challenging and fun. My son has made a chocolate Yule Log and Candy Canes (who knew we could actually make these at home!) as well as fancy Sugar Cookies with royal icing, and is so proud of himself. Of course some parental supervision is required in the kitchen but this makes for a wonderful, memorable experience together. If you’re looking for a virtual class to not only keep kids busy and entertained, but also teach a useful life skill, I can highly recommend Rooks to Cooks.
28 December 2020 23:38
My daughter has been LOVING the virtual classes with Rooks To Cooks! The chef instructors are kind, patient and share lots of information during the class. Finding Rooks 2 Cooks virtual classes has been the best thing in 2020! ️
25 October 2019 19:13
Phenomenal camp. My daughter attended the Budding Bakers summer camp at the Annex location. She loved it. We'll be going back for multiple sessions next summer.
24 October 2019 22:29
My son had an amazing time doing the Master Chef camp at the Danforth (East York) Rooks to Cooks. The instructors were highly skilled and qualified and the kids not only learned food safety and cooking skills, but also were able to modify and improvise through the day.
A well organized camp and highly recommended.
24 October 2019 6:11
This was an amazing camp! This was our second year at Rooks to Cooks and this year my boys attended the budding bakers at the East York camp. They had such a great time and learned so much. Highly recommend this camp to everyone
23 October 2019 15:54
The popup restaurant is soooo good! My daughters love Master Chef @Markham they attended last week and now they are working hard on Master Chef 2 this week. They learnt a lot of knowledge and cooking skills from Master Chef, not baby fun, but serious cooking.:) They can't wait to apply what they learnt at camp to real life, so now they plan, prepare and cook almost half of our family's meal everyday. Yesterday I went grocery shopping with them. Instead of I told them what we need, they followed their own shopping list to find everything they need for what they plan to cook.: D Thanks to Rooks to Cooks!
19 October 2019 10:34
Our daughter loved Rooks to Cooks! She did the Around the World and Perfecting Pastries at the Scarborough location. Chef Teresa and her team were super and we were so amazed at how many recipes she learned (really tasty) - it was a very hands-on experience. The memories of the pop-up restaurants still put a smile on my face - it was so impressive. And YES, my daughter is more organized in our kitchen and actually cleans up after herself so much better now!)
15 October 2019 17:06
My 8 year old niece attended the Rooks to Cooks cooking camp for her second summer in a row. 2 weeks last year and 2 this year. I was lucky enough to join in on the pop up restaurant both summers. She absolutely loved every minute of her experience and can’t wait to enroll again next summer. As a result of her participation, her cooking and baking skills have skyrocketed, she is noticeably more confident in her abilities, has been taking initiative with the cooking and cleaning at home, and has been happily sharing her new found knowledge and skills with the family. I would highly recommend this camp, it far exceeded any camp program I have ever come across before.
15 October 2019 8:25
Our two daughters attended the Master Chef camp at the North York location and they LOVED LOVED LOVED it! They worked really hard and made amazing food, while building their confidence, skills and enthusiasm for cooking. The staff are fantastic and my kids are already excited about returning next year and also about cooking for us at home!
14 October 2019 13:14
Rooks to Cooks is an amazing camp! This is my daughter’s second summer attending the camp and we are extremely impressed with the skills, knowledge and confidence she has developed in the kitchen. The programs are well thought out, organized and very comprehensive. We were impressed daily with the treats she brought home. Very professional and top quality! You could tell she was receiving great instruction and she was all smiles when I picked her up! Highly recommend this camp!
13 October 2019 0:57
If there is one 'downer' I could give you guys for its making parents fat.my child came home with delicious bakeries/pastries during their camp and they enjoyed every minute of it.even as we were leaving the camp grounds, they were asking to return next year.
08 October 2019 4:11
I have been following R2C on Instagram for a while and I was truly impressed by the quality of their camp program. My daughter did the Master Class in Scarborough this week and the quality of the food and lessons were amazing.

I wish I could have given a full 5 but I have to be honest, the Scarborough location is not nearly as equipped as the other locations and I felt like the kids here didn’t get the same experience. It’s a very a dark and dreary basement and not a place anyone would want to be daily. So much so that I think the program shouldn’t be the same price at this spot. I’m sure this why there are hardly any pics posted from this location.

Overall, we loved the lessons she learned and the pop up restaurant. I’m happy to chat live if you would like to contact me.

Thx!
06 October 2019 19:33
My daughter did the Master Chef camp and absolutely loved it! I have never seen her so excited about a camp or course. She came home everyday with lots of stories, as well as dishes to share. It’s very professionally run and the schedule is packed. No time wasted. I would definitely sign up for this again!
06 October 2019 17:16
Three of us went to the dinner served in Erindale United Church on August 16th. I must say we were pleasantly surprised with the professionalism & expertise of the young people serving & cooking. It was just great & we will be broadcasting it to our fellow church members & encouraging them to come to some of next years offerings. Kudos to the great group of young people!
01 October 2019 19:57
Our son Max age 10 was signed up for a week of the master chef camp. He liked it so much that he wanted to also attend the last session Master chef 2.0! We loved the diversity of the recipes, the quality ingredients and the awesome chef instructors. The uniform was a fabulous touch. The pop up restaurant at the end was the best as the kids got to show off their skills and seeing all their proud faces was priceless. Thanks for a great two weeks. We will Ben back next summer!
30 September 2019 17:59
My daughter absolutely loved the Perfecting Pastry camp experience at he Annex location. I was reluctant to register at first, as I thought the price was a little steep, but as soon as the treats arrived after her first class, I was sure it was worth it. ;) Everyday, a different dessert accompanied her home- even croissants were made! Chef Taylor and her student crew outdid themselves with the pop up restaurant at the end of the week! My daughter continues to use the recipes at home for us all. I will definitely be registering again.
23 September 2019 13:44
My two daughters attended the Master Chef camp at the North York location. Despite being the last week of the summer, the chefs were patient, energetic, engaged and inspiring - not to mention kind with different kid levels and personalities. My kids loved it and the pop up dinner was delicious! Great job!
23 September 2019 7:25
Our daughters attended the Master Chef camp in the Markham location and they loved it! They learned so much and they were so proud of everything they made at camp! Being Food Network fans, they loved the Chopped, Cake Boss Challenge and Iron Chef competitions! And they are already eager to help with cooking at home. They are already asking us to sign them up for more Rooks to Cooks camps!
23 September 2019 2:36
My daughter attended the baking week session at Rooks To Cooks in the High Park (Annette St) area. She was excited to go every day and is her favourite camp to date. She asked to be signed up ASAP for next summer, which we will do. The professionalism, respect for the kids, and recipes from Chef Gavin and his colleagues, left us knowing we made a great camp decision.
23 September 2019 2:07
This is no ordinary kids' camp! Rooks to Cooks is a full-fledged culinary school where kids proudly serve up gourmet food every day of the week. Fun, educational, empowering, and delicious! My kid is addicted!
21 September 2019 18:48
My 9 year old attended the pastries camp at the bloor / spadina location. She loved it and wants to go next year. We enjoyed the treats brought home and the popup experience was fun.
20 September 2019 16:25
My daughters attended the Masterchef 2.0 cooking program at the High Park Location for the first time. I was very impressed with the delicious food that they brought home for me to eat. The staff members were great, and my daughters learned how to make a lot of new dishes in just 1 week. Going to the Pop-up restaurant that the kids put together at the end of the week was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend this camp and we will definitely be going back next year!
19 September 2019 3:06
My daughter always enjoys helping out in the kitchen so we decided to put her in Perfecting Pastries. She learned so many great skills, including using a knife for the first time! She brought home such delicious treats and we were all so impressed! The Pop-up restaurant was the final hoorah and we enjoyed a lovely gourmet meal served by our daughter and her classmates! That was priceless. The environment was very friendly and the older kids really took our daughter under their wing. The staff were organized and very helpful. We would definitely do this again and recommend this experience to anyone looking for something different, practical and really fun for their child.
15 September 2019 19:05
Awesome learning experience for my child!
Will be enrolling again next year.
The Scarborough location was close and convenient for our family.

My daughter (age 8) attended the Perfecting Pastries camp at the Annex Location and LOVED every minute of it. Chef Taylor was amazing and her staff instilled so much confidence in the bakers. The kids made everything from scratch, from the pastries to the fillings, savory and sweet - it was bliss (to eat!) and to watch my daughter take so much pride in all her hard work. The piece de resistance was the Pop Up on Friday evening, each and every camper was a mini professional. Truly caring about each and every detail that made the Pop Up amazing. From the hostesses to the servers to the chefs, you could FEEL the team work and for me, that's what camp is all about. Best camp of the summer.

Rooks to Cooks has an excellent summer cooking program for kids! This is the second consecutive year my daughter is doing it. This summer she was part of the camp at Bathurst and Lawrence and she loved it, she can not wait for next summer to do it again.
Very recommended!

Thanks Rooks to Cooks! My daughter went to the Etobicoke Location for Budding Bakers and she both had a great time but also learned so much over the course of the week! Plus she brought home some amazing snacks that we all got to enjoy!

Loved absolutely everything about this camp! There were so many interesting offerings but decided to enrol my daughter in the Around the World summer camp at the Mississauga location after searching for a cooking camp that offered quality cooking experiences and interesting authentic dishes close to home (Milton). Sometimes it’s hard to get kids to try different foods. This cooking particular camp made it so easy. It exposed her to new and interesting foods! And, it was so authentic to ingredients used and techniques. She learned to use kitchen tools she had never used before! Picking her up everyday after camp, she was so animated and excited, happily chatting about her day (she’s usually a very quiet person)! She couldn’t wait to share her creations with us! The culminating Pop Up restaurant was awesome! The food and beverages were delicious! My guests and I had a great time. My daughter was a main chef (she was beyond excited about this) and enjoyed cooking up the dishes for the restaurant with her fellow campers. The evening ended with kind words from chef Inoka and a certificate presentation. The small monetary “tip” each camper received was a very sweet touch! What a unique and beautiful way to end a great week! Now that we have the recipe booklet, every week she helps shop for her ingredients and prepares dinner for the family! Thank you so much, Rooks to Cooks! We’re already planning for next year’s camp!

I was extremely impressed at this camp. The location in North York was convenient and the facility was awesome. My daughter was so happy to have accomplished so much in one day. The Master chef camp was impressive, menu items and challenges were really well thought out. This is truly a camp that strengthen a life skill while having fun! I highly recommend.

My daughter Isabella participated in a session of the Rooks to Cooks camp this summer and she loved it! Through the week, we saw her curiosity, confidence and enthusiasm toward cooking grow. Since the session finished, Isabella has offered to cook and clean in the kitchen much more than before. We especially love the chocolate mousse recipe she learned at camp!

We signed our 8 year old granddaughter up at the north york location for sweet and savoury. Not only did Cadence love the program, she was so proud of her accomplishments. She brought homes treats every day for us to enjoy and boy did we love them. The sprinkle cookies were the best we have ever had. She had asked to go back for two weeks next year.
