Room Escape Ottawa

This was so much fun, we went with a couple of friends and this was our first escape room. Ethan was fantastic at explaining how everything worked and was very accommodating (we arrived quite early and he allowed us to wait inside, out of the cold). Would totally recommend!

It was so fun and challenging. (Maybe not challenging for you smarter humans).
Don't add me to your team because I won't save us.
Staff were fantastic and probably laughing at us for asking for so many clues.
They accept the access2 card for those with disabilities which was nice to learn.
Oh and I messed up. I didn't realize you should remove shoes/boots until I made the floor wet with snow.
Very sorry for that but now I know.
We will be going again to likely fail lmao

Did the Warlocked room. The best escape room we've done. Puzzles made sense and were challenging enough to be satisfying when we solved them. The rooms were immersive with incredible detail, and the staff members were super friendly and helpful. So much fun! Can't wait to go back and try the other rooms!

It was my first escape room and really loved it. I did "Undermined" and we managed to beat it! Will be back for sure to try the other rooms!

The rooms here are absolutely fantastic! Did 3 rooms here in the last year and never disappointed. So much fun!

I’ve gone to a few different escape room establishments and this place is probably my favourite. Each escape experience has multiple rooms, puzzles that keep going and are interactive. My only complaint is that there aren’t any rooms left for me to try because I’ve completed them all. The staff is friendly and I love that you can grab a drink and food in the back and play games or sit outside for drinks and food as well. The ambience is great!

It was really great! First time ever! Hard one was picked and 3 adult and one teen had to really work to figure out how to get through it. Now I know what to expect, will be easier next time.

Highly highly recommend these escape rooms over others in ottawa as they have multiple rooms inside each escape! I just can't stop coming back!

The atmosphere/story is a bit tacky, but the puzzles are on-point. They're not too difficult but it gets people thinking.

Had a lovely night with my husband and father in law doing the Serial Killer room! Our host was super friendly and funny and set us up for an hour of fun! We may not have escaped but it was a BLAST! The design is super well done and challenging with enough puzzles for everyone to excel at!

I absolutely will be back to check out their other rooms soon!

Have gone twice now and done two separate rooms as a team of 2 (deliverance) and 3 (warlocked). The staff were awesome, story was awesome, and rooms were so much fun! Definitely will go back!

We visit the Room Escape Ottawa while on vacation.
1st time and last time. Didn't enjoy SERIAL KILLER CHARADE. One hand held light in a dark room, so what is everyone else to do to solve the combination locks when they can't see anything? Clues lacking and you kept having to go back to look at a TV in another room.
Too many small combination locks and hardly any puzzles.
Not scary, not fun and too much hype and a waste of money.
Staff were helpful, friendly and professional.

Always a great evening of fun! Have done several rooms here now and they do not disappoint!

This location has several different escape rooms and archery game. Inside design is interesting. My kids love this place. There several tables outdoor for ordering and having food there. Friendly staff.

Second time going. They've really expanded since I was there five years ago.

I've done the Boom Room and Undermined, both beat with under 2 minutes left on the clock.

Ive been to a lot of escape rooms, but this place is the best.
They are large, well built, interesting, exciting, and a good challenge!

My team and I had a great experience and beat the Boom Room! We had a group of 6 and it felt roomy compared to other places. Good props and theme and a good way of providing hints as needed.

First time here. Did the boom room. Really amazing. All rooms have multiple rooms and the puzzles are challenging. Cannot wait to try the other rooms. Highly recommend.

This one was a lot of fun. We went with the hardest one (Morlocked). Pretty tough one to crack. The staff were great. Would definitely go here again.

Love the escape rooms.
Not recommended for younger. Even though it says junior it is far too hard for the younger ones.
I thought when kids went in they made it easier so they could enjoy it. It says 7 plus but not recommended

Went with the family. Had a great time. Puzzles were appropriately challenging for the whole family. I saw that they also have archery tag. We didn't play but looks fun. We will definately return to give the other rooms a try.

We did the Undermined room and as fairly experienced escape room enthusiasts, it was probably the best room I've ever got the pleasure of attempting. The puzzles were great, excellent atmosphere and top notch props. Will definitely be coming back!

Had a lot of fun with the undermind escape room. The props were fantastic and puzzles were well placed to make it challenging but not too difficult to solve. Even the hints were useful without being a giveaway. Overall great experience and I'm looking forward to trying out their other rooms.

One of the best place for escape rooms in Ottawa. I've played Stranded, Undermined, Deliverance and Boom Room. Those are quite different rooms, one of them was really easy for players with a lot of experience, one had impressive effects and technology, but I had fun in all of them and was satisfied at the end of every room. I will definitely be back to play the other rooms!

The wife and I have done a wide variety of escape rooms with various companies. A lot of them tend to feel the same. Well, we did their new room Undermined yesterday and have to say it's my favourite of any room so far by any company. More immersive than any other room we've done.

We did the undermine room. I think this is the best room in Ottawa right now.
Amazing premise, the tech was incredible and the puzzles were reasonably straight forward.

We were so impressed by the serial killer Room. The staff were great, it was super creepy and it wasn’t ridiculously difficult. There are also multiple rooms which is very cool. One of the best (if not the absolute best) escape room we’ve been to!

Just did the Undermined room - blew us away. The level of story immersion was insane. This is not your basic room with some locks from Canadian Tire. This is Disney level production value. 10/10 would recommend.

Great escape room. We did the serial killer charade and it was just the right amount of spooky. Difficulty rating was accurate. My only comment is that some of the rooms were small enough that it was feeling crowded with 5 people - might be more ideal for 4 participants.

Outstanding escape room. I've done several escape rooms before and this one was very creative with their puzzles and tools. Tons of fun and highly recommend the serial killer room.

Had a great time as a date night. First time doing an escape room for both of us and we chose the hardest one but that's okay cause they give unlimited hints. Was definitely a thing we would come back for.

My husband and I went for our anniversary. We spent about half the time in the first room, we asked for hints but they didn't reply us till after 10 ish min. Turns out the intro guy never told us the hints comes up on the tv above the time, so we never looked there. We also asked how to solve the puzzle we got stuck on after the fact. Turns out we got it right but somehow the input didn't register. In any case we still had fun, but I think we could've finished if it wasn't for all the hiccups.

We tried The Serials Killer and the script was interesting, the room is well made. It was fun. Then we did the Deliverance and the game master was not following at all which made us waste a lot of time. We would ask for a hint and we were told in 1 minute and finally the person forgot or really gave it in 1 minute while we were waiting. In addition, we were given the wrong hints many times, things we had already solved, or the same hint again, or clues too early in the course that did not allow us to solve the puzzle since there were missing objects and we spend like 15 min searching something that wasn't there yet. What a disappointment for the price paid not to have the necessary support.

Awesome experience! Matt provided really helpful tips on which room to pick and was super friendly and flexible with some last minute adjustments to our room. Lots of fun. And we got a suprise birthday goody! Definitely recommend!

My family and I completed Undermined - the design of the room is fantastic and very immersive. There are a number of effects that were very well done and convincing. This is our first time trying this location as we usually do the rooms downtown when we visit Ottawa. Next time, this will be the first place we check to see what's available.

This is my favorite escape room place! I love the puzzles, complexity and creativity of all their rooms. They're all multi rooms or levels so you really feel immersed in the scenario. There was hiccups with the VR room at first but it was enjoyable. I still prefer the physical rooms. I just pick up Impact (the virtual scenario) and can't wait to play.

Lot's of fun and very clean and strict about cleaning for Covid protocols etc. We have been many times and they are always creating new and creative escape rooms etc. Sad they have to close for the lock down but will see them later in the New Year!

We went and completed Undermined, and it was fantastic. It was one of the best ones that we have done and the whole experience was great!

Incredible night. My fiance and I beat it with 1 minute to spare. It was a really fun! I loved the creativity and the unique aspects of stranded.

Larger and more involved than other rooms I've been in. 1 full hour events. It was enjoyable and challenging.

Cool space.did the serial killer room with a bunch of kids (9-13 yrs), sufficiently difficult so that we failed to finish. It's like a dungeons and dragons game with some fake blood and odd puzzles. Staff is good and friendly but can be slightly officious, don't expect your after escape room birthday party thing to be loud or boisterous as it annoys them. All good though. Pricey at 200 dollars for a group of 7 (that's the main reason for 4 not 5 stars).

Fabulous escape room! My colleagues and I (a total of 7 people) attempted Deliverance. A neat setting with so many different puzzles to solve. The music set for the room was great and the staff was super helpful and patient. We unfortunately did not escape, but that may have been due to too many people in the room; 4 people would have been ideal. Well made and fun room!

It was an amazing time. We're from out of town and it was our first time there and will not be our last. The host was funny and made the experience THAT much better.

My wife and I had a great time. The good stress of timed puzzles was invigorating and hilarious. Also, we almost made it out of the room we did. Argh lol. So good.

This space is really good for parties. Great games, food and drinks. Highly recommended

I really liked this place. I have done all the rooms here save one. The puzzles are challenging enough to keep it interesting. My favourite part about this place is the space. The rooms here are uniquely large. Some of them have multiple sections which allows the party to spread out and explore independently. The decor in the rooms is also a strong point. They are very thematic, and well made. I definitely recommend checking this place out whether you are an experienced room escapee, or this is your first experience.

And if that wasn't enough, they also have archery games there.

I went here for my son's 10th birthday party with 6 of his friends and my husband and we had an incredible time. The kids were SO funny and they were all really invested in finding the answer, even though we only made it half way. Was so much fun would HIGHLY recommend the kid's experience for birthday parties.

Fantastically fun and puzzling puzzles, great for birthdays and other events, quality multi room and multi level puzzles. After several visits only just hoping for new rooms.

I've done all the escape rooms at Room Escape and I would say they are the best of their kind in Ottawa. The rooms are all fairly challenging and the sets are well made. Although it's slightly easier, I really enjoyed doing Stranded (maybe due to the climbing portion - it feels like an adventure!)

Had an amazing experience here. When I want to go for an escape room, I don't want to be put in one room for an hour, I want a full experience. That's exactly what I got with the serial killer room! There's a mood set with the visuals and sound throughout the full experience and there are many rooms and cool tricks that you have to use to get out. So far the best escape room I've been to in Ottawa, I'll be heading back to finish the other rooms as well.

Quite a clever adventure with impressive background details and ingenious challenges. Both tricky and entertaining. Our advisor was willing to offer hints, but gave us our space to try to solve the mystery. Some serious and brain expanding fun. Loved it!

Loved this place. Great variety of puzzle types so that you're not just trying to figure out number lock after number lock. Challenging but fair.

I just did the escape room called stranded. I was not impressed at all. I've done a lot of escape rooms and this one was by far the worst experience. There was no real story and it was just a room full of puzzles A lot of the puzzles made no sense with unhelpful clues and arbitrary directions. Do not recommend.

A fun experience you should try at least once. The puzzles were decently challenging even for adults and for harder ones you can radio the staff for clues to help solve them.
