This park was PHENOMENAL! So beautiful, so much nature, and as a definit plus, the SQUIRRELS! So many cute fluffy squirrels that are fearless from being fed by humans their whole lives, and will come RIGHT up to you with their little fluffy tails and chubby cheeks so you can get a good look at the cuteness. Once they realize you don't have food for them, they quietly and politely scurry away. Being that close to wildlife is such an amazing experience that I believe everyone should experience at least once in their lives! (As long as its not bears or wolves or anything that can eat you. Though if the squirrels get hungry enough.)

A beautiful little park with history still standing with the walls of the house that used to be there. Flowers, and sculptures, tons of squirrels and birds who have become rather tame with all the people who feed them. Right on the edge of lake Ontario with beautiful views. Theres also a little pet cemetery on site:)

Wonderful flowers changed about three times a year so that it is always beautiful. Couple that with a fantastic view of Lake Ontario from the top of the bluffs and you have a perfect place to spend a spring, summer or fall day. Watching the waves break some 300 feet below you will soothe your soul. Rosetta McClain Gardens is a piece of heaven on earth.

Beautiful park. Horticulture is amazing. Chipmunks. Birding is very popular. Although I love dogs they are not supposed to be allowed, yet I saw one.
02 August 2019 11:45
Small park with some scattered gardens. Went mid June and the rose garden part was not too well kept. Flowers were thirsty for sure. One really sick blue flowering plant, near the north east side of the park kinda hidden behind a bush.
29 July 2019 19:16
I love this place, always beautiful gardens and no dogs are allowed. One of the best places to go for a walk in the bluffs area.

11 July 2019 9:12
Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Spring time is stunning, with endless flower trees, gardens and lilacs filling the air.
Bring some seed for the birds and squirrels, as they are friendly and will keep you entertained.
I was surprised by the diversity of birds, seeing multiple blue-jays, cardinals, and red wing black birds all in the same cluster of trees!
Be aware they have lots of rules. No picnics, no bikes or skateboards, no dogs etc. It's a great place to come for some peace and quiet.

Nice place for evening walk. Saw people taking photographs of birds. The park is situated next to a old age home, so you will see lot of old age people walking. Saw some people feed the raccoons. Also saw homeless people sleep on the benches on far corners of the park.
10 June 2019 5:05
No picnics, no dogs, no bicycle riding or rollerblading allowed. Too many restrictions, aka no fun allowed. A park strictly for photography purposes. Won’t be going there again.
13 March 2019 1:43
A beautifully done, well maintained city garden. Parking can be tight. Lots of nice pathways to walk. Nice fountain with hanging baskets with lots of places to sit down.
10 March 2019 1:16
This park is sometimes better take care off than the Edwards garden. Very calm and great view of lake Ontario, beautiful flowers, clean and quiet, with some friendly squirrels and birds. Love it in summertime but also fantastic in winter, all you need is something warm to drink and you'll be happy.
29 January 2019 19:09
The park and the place is very nice, with a fountain in the middle. The part with lots of roses is not so well maintained

We've been going to this little park for many years; every time we go we marvel at the many species of trees (some are huge providing plenty of deep shade) the beautiful flower gardens and the verdant green of the lawns.

It is perched on the bluffs so has a commanding view of Lake Ontario.

Especially nice on hot sultry days because of the cooling breeze coming off the lake.

Go for an hour or while away an afternoon on a blanket with a picnic.

Birders may like this place as I've seen quite a few curtiosities passing through in spring and fall.

There is limited parking, but I've never been shut out.

Rosetta McClain Gardens is a bit of paradise with it's rose gardens, 40 variety of trees and bushes. No dogs allowed however the squirrels will entertain you with a tug on your trousers an troubling you for a second
peanut. Chipmunks can entertain with placing the nuts in a manor that
allows 3 however each one has to be checked for quality, then an explosive
run to the hideout. It was last summer Jane & I watched a submarine go
thru the water to be decommissioned at Port Weller. All the raptors and
butterflies, past thru these gardens on their was south and back in the fall.
Many a camera butt stands at the ready to get amazing photos, and many
post them on line. The view of the Lake is breath-taking. Foxes will visit
from time to time, but will stay their distance. In the summer the rabbits will
be helping the gardeners with weed removal. Their favourite snack. The rock fountain will display a multitude of birds bathing and pruning themselves. The bluejays and the cardinals will try getting the best of
a squirrel for a partially broken peanut. And last but not least, the local
raccoon will appear 2 hours early for a treat.
The gardens at Rosetta is a peaceful and wonderous place to meet with
friends and make acquaintances with like minded strollers. Don't miss
this experience as there is something there to experienceat all seasons of the year.
