I was gifted a $500 certificate to this spa because my incredible bosses wanted to ensure I was relaxed and cozy before my wedding day. Because the location was 40+ minutes for me, I wanted to make one trip and do a complete spa day package with more. As I knew I was booking multiple services in one day, I reached out to Rosewater 4 months in advance. I wanted to do the Rosewater Rejuvenator spa package + Brazilian + entire legs waxing minus the manicure/pedicure because I planned on getting nail tips (which is a service this spa doesn't offer). I constantly communicated via email with Kellie (their spa coordinator), who guided me on their services and how I could customize their packages. Overall, I was pleased with my virtual interaction. I looked forward to my spa day, excited to be all pampered up.

Unfortunately, the day of the appointment didn't go smoothly. They started me off with my RMT message. My massage was in the basement, next to the staff break room, which was loud because of the constant traffic in and out of there. My allergies also kept acting up in the basement, so I wonder if they have mould growing there. After the massage, I had to go for my waxing. Because the RMT emptied close to a quarter of oil on me, the poor aesthetician had to remove the moisture from my skin as the skin needed to be dry before a wax. I, of course, didn't realize that, but the spa coordinator should have when she booked my day. After my wax, I had my sea salt body scrub, which was fantastic. Then, when I was ready for my lunch and then custom facial (part of the package), they said I was done for the day. I was upset. I can't believe that after all the plans I made, they hadn't booked me properly.

I understand mistakes happen, but what made it worse was the silent treatment I received when I said I was supposed to have a custom facial included (I didn't even care for the lunch). They didn't bother to say anything, they didn't even apologize for the error, and they didn't even investigate what happened. I said I wanted to avoid returning so they could cash out the gift certificate and use the rest for tips, but tips are not included (of course!). So now I had all this credit and a wedding coming up, so I had to go to the parking lot (mind you, the parking is not free) to gather myself and return to ask what my options were because I wanted my facial before my wedding. Liz was there and offered me an appointment later that day, which I agreed to take; when I returned, again, no apologies, nothing. And my entire check-in and cash-out experience was with Kellie (who was the one who booked me in the first place).

My experience wouldn't have been so horrendous that it bugs me to this day if they had just owned up to their mistake. All our communication was documented via email, yet they needed help to take the onus to own up to their error. The massage was the worst experience and not on par with the high luxury name they carry. I was only delighted with the staff who did my waxing, custom facial and sea salt scrub. She was the only redeeming grace in this all. I, unfortunately, have not recommended this spa to anyone and will continue to do so. The $600+ spent on this place (plus gas and parking) was not worth it.

If you are looking for a good hand massage than this is definitely not the place unless if you are looking for someone only to spread oil with basic hand massage!
