My Escalade wouldn’t start. It was brought in via tow truck. They sat on it for 4 days and Douglas said I wouldn’t get it back for a few weeks! I asked them to boost the car, I picked it up and drove it to Applewood Cadillac. Applewood said the vehicle will be ready in 1-2 days. This is why I have ordered 2 new Platinum Escalades from Applewood and NOT Roy Foss. #avoidroyfoss

My father in law and myself have been long, long term customers of Roy Foss. In all, I have, in the past had great experiences with their service.
I recently made an appointment a month in advance for retrieving my regular tires in storage and removing my snow tires and sending for storage.

I took my car in on the appointment day and on time. There were a couple of small things also to be done but was assured by Luch that there was no problem
He had known for a month that we were having this done.

So my wife works nearby, we both worked all day and I kept calling to check on our cars status. By 4 o'clock, over 7 hours past when we had dropped it off, nothing had been done, there was complete silence on Luchs end, the calls I made went to voicemail.

No one from the dealership up to this point offered an explanation of why we were still waiting.

Now, I must add a detail. Over a year ago we moved to Brantford Ontario. Aside from a couple of Onstar notified oil changes that could not wait, we always brought our car in on my wife's workdays. We are, or should we say, always were loyal to Roy Foss.

When we discovered by 415, by our own effort, that there had been nothing done, our snow tires were sitting over in a corner in the service area, there was no cars available to rent, thereby immediately stranding us in Thornhill we were flabberghasted.

I made the split second decision to retrieve the snow tires as they were sitting out in the open. I arranged with one of my wifes clients to store 2 of them overnight, and we had to take two of them to Brantford in the backseat of our car.

Luchs only words to me as I left was not to put off having them changed. No explanation of what happened, no apology for the inconvenience. Nothing.

I called Stricklands in Brantford, left a message, went on the Tuesday and all was done, very professionally.

I never heard anything from Foss since. So I contacted GM, went through the complaint process, all that happened with that was a coupon for an oil change, a "free 15 point check up next time" and essentially the run around. As a final blow, I was contacted by the customer service rep to say, they had looked into it, the reason the service wasn't done that day was because we had moved out of town? !? !? And the file would be closed.

What?

My wife has worked less than a mile from Foss for over 15 years. I have taken my car back including twice being CAA towed to Foss, many times since April/22. We all now what this is.bs.

Obviously I have made no secret of my loyalty up to this incident. I also noticed when I brought my car in that day, that it was busy due to snow tires service, but a lady, who seemed to be pressuring Luch to have her car looked at, had no appointment and got a rental as well, all while I was standing there.

Coincidence, maybe. Was I bumped, ignored, or whatever? Cant say.

So Luch sent me this request to review back in April. I had good faith, mistakenly, to trust that someone from the dealership would contact me in the past four months, nada.

GM, upon seeing that my wife and I have bought 4 cars and my father in law, in his lifetime 4 cars, no loyalty on their part.

So, buyer be aware. An employee of Foss visits my wifes workplace.when he sees her he always asks if all is ok, etc. Nice man, but he has occasionally asked about the car.she has always felt he knows something. Well all at Foss know this, im sorry, an explanation, perhaps a small discount on future service would have gone a long way.

My days with Roy Foss are done.

We got our second car from Roy Foss last week and I have no words to describe the patience and attention to details that MJ has provided us.
He was very transparent during the entire negotiation. He never tried pushing us something we didn't want, he was very honest on what they could and couldn't offer and didn't rush us on getting a decision, even though the store was already closing by the time we were there.
In the end we were very happy with the vehicle we chose and with the treatment we got at Roy Foss. We will definitely come back in the future!

This unfortunately is the worst dealer or dealership I’ve ever been to. Their staff constantly miscommunicates and then passes blame. I had multiple service appointments where I left my truck and it wasn’t worked on, and nobody contacted me. I even asked for sales to call me to purchase a new truck, and they didn’t call me either. I really hope the management at this place takes a serious look at their staff because I cannot believe how such a large, beautiful dealership does such an awful job. Do not go to this dealership.

We are leasing already the second car in this dealership and the main reason we didn't even check other places for the second lease is mostly because of our great experience with Andrey Kozlov. Both times he helped us a lot to choose the right car and get a good deal.
Every time we need a consultation, we can call or email and get fast and competent advice from him. But our recent experience with Andrey was even beyond our expectations.
Our new car was functioning weird (beeping every time when switched off without showing any signs of problem), so I booked an appointment with Roy Foss repairs team. Not only they couldn't understand why this irritating beeping occurs, but they also tried to convince me it's a normal solid new feature!
On my way from them I dropped by sales area and was lucky Andrey was there. He explained and solved this problem in a minute!
Appreciate a lot his highly professional and friendly approach!

Have been customer here for business since 2010, personal since 2018.

Bought truck from kid who didn't know a carburetor from a catalytic converter. Was upset with that experience, but have been Chev owner all life, but never bought new, so was unsure what to expect. After purchase was led to high pressure sales tactic warranty-seller (Edit: Calvin!). Despite telling him NO in big capital letters over and over, he kept up the pressure to buy unneeded warranties until I finally had to tell him off.

The dealership attempted to reneg on the agreement we had signed during the first two scheduled maintenances and required us to send a copy back so that they could confirm. Was made to pay for a service that (surprise, surprise) was in the contract and later had money refunded. Was very upset as looked like fool in service bay.

Service managers are very pushy to sell. After being contacted by GM customer service I requested that, for the sake of my wife, there be no unsolicited services offered on my account. Despite this, on the final oil change that we purchased with the vehicle, the service manager still attempted to sell her a cabin air filter (which needs to be changed every time you go into the shop, if you ask them) and successfully cheated her out of $10 for a keyfob replacement battery during her 3 hour long oil change.

To say I'm unimpressed is an understatement. I'll still buy GM products because they are the best, but I won't return to this dealership for service or to purchase any new GM products. These guys don't care about GM customers as much as they do nickle and diming you, dishonestly in my opinion.

Edit: I'm sorry Jacqueline, but I've already made this right by telling my friends and family how your dealership treats customers.

We were driving up north when our 2014 Sierra decided to go haywire in the 400. We went here and Jonathon fit us in right away to take a look at it. The truck decided to work while it was in the shop so even though they could not diagnose the issue, they were awesome! Thanks for making a terrible situation a bit more bearable

Recently purchased a 2021 Tahoe and the service I got from Nick was excellent. No pressure and did what he could to help me out.

Had to return the vehicle 2 weeks after I got it as there was an issue but they set up a loaner for me. Appreciated all the help they provided and am very happy with the new wheels.

The service advisor upsold me services (brake fluid replacement and fuel injector and throttle body service) that they performed just the service before this one. It's hard for me to believe that they didn't have this on record when they upsold me. This cost me over $400 more than I needed to.

Very bad service department! Have been there three times to get the "Tires Break Noise" fixed but I need to go again because the issue is not fixed yet! According to my experience with their service department they don't know what they're doing!

They did a Multi-point vehicle inspection and rotated my tires as recommended. Everyone was very nice to deal with. Vehicle was washed and returned in 60 min. First time I have been to this dealership

The worst customer service! Their service department charged me for $65 for a flat tire repair, after one hour driving the tire got flat again, it was like they didn't even touch the car! I booked another appointment and when I got there they told me I have to buy a new tire from them! And they didn't refund my money. Their service is really bad. My car is still on warranty but every time I go for some repair I need to go back again after a few days because they don't fix the problems at the first time. Roy foss really needs to do some improvements in their Service Department!

In 2020 I purchased a 2016 Tahoe. Within a month of purchasing certain things stopped working including the front and rear sensors, then I heard a rattling in the bumper. I took it to my local GM dealership and discovered the Tahoe had been in an accident, the rear sensor was loose and had been melted and 'rigged' in place causing the sensors to malfunction. Estimated $1,000 to fix the rear and from there they would diagnose the rest of the issues. I was given a clean car fax upon purchasing and the vehicle was checked by RoyFoss mechanics and given the green light. This melted and rigged in place sensor would have been very obvious to anyone looking under the vehicle.

I had to follow up numerous times before someone at RoyFoss would respond to me. Michael Ragusa the Used Car Manager suggested that perhaps someone bumped into my car in a parking lot without my knowledge. I guess he thought that maybe someone hit my car hard enough to loosen the sensor, without leaving damage to the outside of the car, and then somehow the sensor was rigged and melted back in place inside the bumper, all without my knowledge. Ken Core, Director of Sales, was at least polite and attempted to assist until he stopped responding.

I do not trust the service department and the customer service was disappointing to say the least.

I brought my vehicle in for an airbag recall. Service advisor Dan Wong was very professional, on the other hand, the work performed was below grade. Left with an airbag light on. My personal technician found a wore which was crimped and causing a airbag light on. This, on the new airbag installed. Hope it was a new airbag

I recently got a 2021 CT5 Cadillac from Roy Foss Thornhill. The customer service is World-Class. They are HIGHLY professional and equally FRIENDLY!
They also accommodated my schedule on when I can pick up my car and when I can take care of my insurance. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable.
I am specifically referring to Mo Mir. He helped me a lot and educated me about everything and every feature of my new car. He's polite, patient, and highly professional. Mo's customer service and customer onboarding is simply exceptional!
I could not be happier than I am. Roy Foss and its staff don't deserve 5 Stars; they deserve 7 Stars!

I'm going through a painful warranty claim at another dealership and NOT a warranty Roy Foss sold, yet they are supporting me with all the info I need.that care for a client has locked me in as repeat customer.

Absolutely the worst customer service, along with post purchase reliance my spouse and I have ever experienced. We corresponded with two individuals. Leor Zimmer "Leor The Liar" my wifes' reference to him; (Sales Rep), and Kevin Wain (Sales Manager). If i can sum up the enthusiasm and professionalism from these two individuals I would compare them to about a 12 year old. Slightly better than their most recent review here it seems. Another customer comparing the staff level of intelligence to a 4 year old. These folks will hand you a rental to have your issues fixed on the purchased vehicle, and you will return to find a below mediocre job which they will defend by trying to insult your level of understanding of the situation which is fairly straight forward to begin with.

We asked for a few things upon purchase and did not argue the price of our vehicle endearingly because we expected that at the least, buying from these guys they would have some level of responsibility toward their customer and mitigate the issues discussed during the negotiation phase. We could not have been more wrong. I will do my best here to outline in detail so you can pass your own judgement on whether to take your hard earned money here or someplace else where you wont have to deal with so many degenerates. Your prerogative to read up our details below. Thanks for being a smart consumer.

1. Our car had a $7000 Car proof record which the Leor dismissed as being nothing to be concerned about and that it meant nothing. We actually took his word for it because we had no idea what was on the car proof document until we had already paid for the vehicle and picking it up. Insurance did not think along the same lines, which prompted us to question. As soon as I called to insure the vehicle they said the "Full coverage" if something were to happen, would not apply the same way. The resale value would be calculated drastically lower and the decision to fix, replace or pay out would also depend on the previous repairs and damage sustained. Our concerns were dismissed. They said we should have known better to check and decide. They were correct in that regard, we should have asked for specifics and details because this individual was not going to make that effort to inform us. We got taken by Leor the liar. Really no one else at fault but our own because we were in a hurry to purchase a vehicle out of necessity at the time.

2. We asked for dual ownership for my spouse and I, along with two year plates. We asked that the plates be registered under my wife's name because her date of birth would give us a longer sticker validation period. No issues on our part in paying for what we asked. We got our dual ownership. The rest seemed to have gone through one ear and out the other.

3. There were some scratches, two plastic guard films on the exterior missing and several clips missing from the interior rear seat-belt retaining cover. All of which, I was assured by Leor and Kevin upon purchase would be taken care of prior to pick up. These things were taken off the negotiating table because they were promised to be addressed not only by the sales rep but also the sales manager. We got the vehicle back regretting asking these folks to do anything in the first place. They had wet sanded the scratches, spray painted and buffed the areas matte burning the paint to a dull finish and the parts that were already pristine on the vehicle had nothing but swirl burns in the paint from buffing. A piece of the guard film was replaced on the door but the piece on the body was not. They had finally replaced the oil but had no idea what clips I was referring to.

We are about 2 hours away from the Thornhill dealership and could not ask for better service. We worked with Ken Core and Justin Core and were extremely satisfied with our experience. They were professional and accommodating and we did everything over the phone to limit traveling to the dealership. I have recently purchased a vehicle XT5 here and Isaac is a stunning person in this field. I have been to many dealerships and I have never seen a gentleman like him. He has exceptional customer interaction skills and provide detail cares etc. If you are to buy cars around this area, please find Isaac, he is a promising man.

Must be nice having that much business that when someone ask you if they can arrange an appointment to see a car and then you don’t bother to call them back. Wow!

Absolutely perfect. My service advisor, Luch Rotondo is the best, he is very through with his assessments, provides appropriate advise and costing, responds to calls and messages in a timely manner. He builds a good relationship with his customers. Pricing is not the cheapest, but quality work is done on your vehicle. If and when I need to replace my vehicle, I will definitely be using Roy Foss for purchase and ongoing maintenance.

We had found Roy Foss online after searching for another family vehicle. When we called for an appointment the receptionist was extremely kind and helpful, she had put us with our salesman Alex Chimienti.

I have had horrible experiences with dealerships in the past and let me tell you, I highly recommend going to see Alex - 100/10. He has changed my point of view from the experiences I've had in the past and I WILL NOT go to another person again.

Alex was extremely kind, informative and helpful, he made us feel like we have known each other for years. He helped us find the perfect vehicle for our family and made this buy extremely stress free and enjoyable. He kept communications open with me every single step of the way, gave us honest advice and fought for us to make sure all of our needs were met.

I told this to Alex and I will say it again, the manager at Roy Foss needs to promote this guy!
