Very well laid out. A peaceful place to visit and take a stroll. The Bistro serves up excellent food, and there is an impressive train exhibit!

One of the most beautiful place around! Colour changes with season. Walk around with beautiful classic music. It is so enjoyable!

Absolutely stunning! There was a massive wasps nest next to the path though, that should be dealt in.

This was my first trip to the botanical gardens.
My wife and I had an amazing time. The workers there are very friendly and knowledgeable. They will answer all your questions, with enthusiasm.
The rose garden was the feature when we were there. It was beautiful. They also have some nice wilderness trails. All the unique trees have a little sign at the bottom, so you can easily identify the species.
The rock garden was also a huge highlight of the trip. You can easily spend a whole day at the gardens.
If you are looking to spend a nice day with your special partner when in Burlington or Hamilton. You don't want to miss the royal botanical gardens.

The rock garden is quite interesting, multi tiered with lots of hidden paths to give a sense of adventure.

The gardens are well maintained ans the flowers and plants are pretty.

In the fountains it appears they've added a tuny bit of an organic blue dye to water as a decorative touch.

A nice relaxing way to spend the afternoon.

Visited mid week, we found it very relaxing to stroll through the site and we were impressed with the vision of the designers 90 years after initial planting.

Went to the RBG with my girlfriend for a date and we loved it! There are multiple sites for the Royal Botanical Gardens, but they are only a couple minutes apart driving wise. Rock Garden is definitely our favourite though, worth checking out! (P. S.if you have a presto card or student card, you will get a discount.)

I visited this place and it is beautiful. The only reason I am not giving 5 Stars is because it is too small. I expected it to be larger than it is. Otherwise, it is beautiful and well kept. The flowers were in bloom and the small collection of conifers were beautiful.

This was my first visit. The staff is really helpful and enthusiastic. I ate at the Greenhouse Cafe which had good food at reasonable prices. I was wowed by the Rock Garden. There are so many nooks and crannies to explore and so many species in this garden. It is beautiful.

The staff were cordial and caring. We benefitted in getting a single plus membership for the year. We hope to make many more visits to the various gardens.

Absolutely loved the place. Worth the ticket price. Pretty well maintained and lush. The Rock Garden, indoor mediterranean garden and the Henry Garden are all absolutely beautiful for a walk with pets/children/family. Quite wheelchair/stroller friendly. Definitely going back.

Truly amazing place. I loved the music in the rise garden and the tranquility of the rock garden. We visited on a rainy day and there were not a lot of people. 100% worth it.

Definitely worth the visit. It was really hot when we went but it's great for people who want to get out and stretch their legs and learn about flora. The guide told us that RBG covers 2700 acres (who knew?) - obviously not all landscaped but apparently there are many good trails. Plan for a about 4 hours over the three parks - Hendry (~2 hrs), Laking and Rock Gardens (you'll need a car to go from one to the other). Picnicking allowed at Laking- didn't ask at the others. Hendry has a cafe and a tearoom.

This is the great garden and very close to the one seen in Japan. A highly recommend place to visit and well worth it. Too bad it is not big enough. Visited on weekdays and very less crowd so if was we worth the time in there.

We have been members of the RBG for several years. We like exploring all RBG areas and our #1 favourite garden area is the Rock Garden, and our #1 favourite hiking trail is Cherry Hill Gate.
