Worst food ever. No taste at all and there were flies, everything was nasty and sticky. Don’t know how people give this place 5 star.

Got the spicy ginger beef and the Hakka legend, the beef was good, but can't say the same about the noodles, it was okay wouldn't get it again. Might get the beef again but wouldn't go out of my way to get it

If you’re looking forward to delicious and spicy Indian style food, definitely recommending to anyone who wants to try new place to explore. You will be surprised to see the quantity offered for such a reasonable price. Remember to try “ small soup “

No Halal food was available but they advertised on the website that they sell Halal meat food

We love this restaurant! The food is amazing with very generous portions and many delicous vegan dishes. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. The place is extremely clean with a cozy atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and Jimmy and his brother treat you like family. Highly recommended!

The Chinese girl at the front desk spoke very rudely. Didn't even try to listen what I was trying to order. Walked right outside Straightway.

Friendly service from the staffs. They’re knowledgeable regarding the dishes as well. Food came out quick and fresh & hot. We polished them quickly.

The guy from this location is rude and arrogant! Need to change the receptionist because he ask me rudely to check the menu on the website and hung up on me! Seriously! You should work in the kitchen not in the front desk!

The don't give forks to eat unless you ask for it. Like am I going to eat rice with hand!

Need to pay extra for soya sauce and hot sauce.even though you order $60 food.

While an odd location, this restaurant is fairly busy. Being here for over 12+ years as of writing, this restaurant has a lot of take out orders.
They do have some tables for dine in for about 24 persons.

Fish Pakora 14.95
Light and crispy with spicy green peppers and good portion of fish. A good choice.

Hakka Chow Mein 11.95
While this did have "鑊氣" which is a cauldron style cooking, the dish was just ok. There are better noodle options here.

Chilli Chicken 12.95
As the name suggests, chicken glazed with a savory chili sauce. Pretty good.

Crispy Chicken (half) 11.95
A red crispy fried chicken. Not bad, chicken wasn't too dry. Though nothing amazing.

Overall, it's not bad. Portions are fairly good. The prices are reasonable. Staff are nice. Atmosphere is dim, seems grungy because of the lighting and colors.

Visiting Toronto and Scarborough where most Hakka people reside, the first thing that comes to mind is where to go to have real Hakka food. I was fortunate to find a gem of a restaurant named Royal Hakka Chinese Restaurant.
The restaurant is family owned where you can get personalized service. This place is clean and service is excellent.
The Hakka food I ordered like Chilli Chicken which was uniquely different from others; Wonton Hakka Lo Mein was mouthwatering with added garlic; then the dish with Fish with Preserved Lemon was good; item I liked very much was Stuffed Fried Tofu. They had other non Hakka dishes like the Fried Fish, Indian Mutton curry was good, Chicken Pokora was delicious.
I enjoyed the food very much and I felt the food was moderately price with a big portion. I feel they deserve 5 stars and I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

Have been going here for more than 20 years and the food is consistently good every visit. Cannot remember a time when the food didn't taste great.

Wholesome Hakka food and good customer service. Must try for Hakka food enthusiasts.

Highly recommend Royal pepper fish, sweet soy noodles, steamed stuffed tofu and their hot and sour soup. Also love their house made hot sauce, adds a kick to everything.

This place not that best for customers service there will be 15% service charge without customer knowledge there is no sign about this on menu or anywhere. When I asked them about this after I pay tips too she was complaining about cooks and all expenses wentup

Update Feb 23. Dine in is available. Good food and good service.

No dine in but have tables outside that you can sit and eat the takeout food. Had chilli chicken and chicken pakora. Both pretty good. This restaurant apparently has been around for years but trying for the first time. I’m glad there is another Indian-Hakka Chinese choice out there.

My go to Hakka spot in Scar.
Always made fresh and as ordered.
Service is fast and great price.

It's OK, good value but I didn't taste the hakka aspect and felt it was more generic Chinese overall. We asked for not spicy so I'm guessing the flavor is all in.the spice.

Shrimp was prepared perfectly, eggplant was like silk. Smooth balanced flavour.
The beef was the best - both crisp and moist, spicy with a slight sour tang.

Curry was nice too! Moist and enjoyable.

Will be back.

We asked for masala chicken fried rice we got like maybe 4 pieces of chicken in the entire fried rice, so i called the waitress and told her this and she said" the main thing is the fried rice not the chicken" word for word if I wanted a veggie fried rice I would have ordered a veggie fried rice not a chicken fried rice.
