The food was very good. I recommend the mini seafood platter; it was the best. Very cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent. They brought us a big piece of cake on the house. My 4 years old daughter said to the waiter that it was her birthday.
It's a very nice place to go for dinner or lunch, but it's a little pricey for the portions you get. For example: main dishes (which have a solid price already) don't come with sides; you have to order them separately (which is not common in Balkan cuisine). I wouldn't order the Ćevapi again, but the lamb chops and the royal cannon were good. The staff is more attractive than overly friendly; they seemed a little annoyed by my friend asking too many questions, which I understand when they're busy, but it's still not nice to make the customer feel uncomfortable. We still got served with a smile.
One of our team mates had to wait close to 10min more for his steak sandwich. The server said that it takes longer to prepare then my burger or another steak that we also ordered? We ordered our apps and mains at the same time! That was a pathetic excuse, because the cook should have planned accordingly. No other apology and they found it completely acceptable that we all needed to wait for the last dish to be served. Glad tip is an option. You would expect better service on a $200+ bill which was food only.
Food was excellent.group of 5 of us on a Saturday eve.we had 2 people in our group with special dietary needs (gluten free) and certain vegetable allergies.fully accommodating.will definitely be back.prices are a bit high, but worth it
Extremely overpriced food, none of it comes with a side. $40 for a steak that's mostly fat and not even some fries. $10 for some onion rings that are rock hard and nasty. 40 for a tiny portion of fish with no seasoning. Sauteed veggies soaked in oil and undercooked. Just not good in general. Nothing redeeming about the meal. Nice patio and decorations.
Absolutely AMAZING food! This was my first time and I loved the fact that even though we wound up sitting on the patio, it was so well heated and it did not even feel like we were outdoors. Fantastic service and big portions! Highly recommend the Meat Platter
Dominique and her team did both catering and bartending for our condo wedding and did an outstanding job. They made special drinks with our own alcohol, got along with all of our guests, and even hand washed my dishes multiple times. Oh and everyone loved the food of course! Thank you so much we will definitely book with you guys again.
One of my favourite spots in the GTA. Food and service always exceptional, very nice vibe inside and on the patio in the summer, we try to come at least couple of times per month!
We ordered the meat platter 2 with extras for 11 people and boy did we enjoy it. We expected an actual burger with toppings though and not just a patty but either way, it tasted great. Everyone enjoyed the flavour of the royal canons. The only downside I would say the chicken breasts were on the dry side but all the other meat elements made up for it. Really good service and fast delivery. Would definitely recommend this place if you like meat!
We went for take out recently but we had to cancel it because only one waitress was wearing mask. How is that allowed during the pandemic? Would never eat there.
Meat was extremely tasty … but if they were going for Serbian cuisine I must say they missed few things. Red pepper spread that they served with cevapcici was something weird. Definitively not Ajvar. Shopska salad was served with no oil and vinegar. No lepinja with the meat …. For someone coming from the Balkan … this is almost sacrilegious. But Meat was REALLY good.
Food was great! Their burger meat patty is damm good. Really nice and clean restaurant. However, i found the unnecessary charges for the sauces!
Even though their food is great its still not worth 88 dollar food! I just found it super pricey. If your near the location and feel like spending a good amount of money then definitely do give them a try.
Great experience every time! Very nice patio, good physical distancing between the tables, quite a few screens if you enjoy watching sports. Love the Balkan style food (chevapi, lepinja, kaymak, shopska salad, etc.) but there are plenty of other choices.
Food + Drinks were amazing. Atmosphere was very nice and clean, both inside and outside on the patio. Staff was very friendly. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for good food and good experience (for family friendly/date nights and/or girls/boys night) The only thing was parking was an issue - not enough parking spaces and potential to get blocked in.
This spot is AMAZING! From the fried cheese to the 7 layer dip to the shivaps. All absolutely incredible. So glad we came here. We'll definitely be back!
Great service, and of course the meat was so delicious. We got the seafood sharing platter to start and everything was cooked perfectly. The burrata cheese was so soft and the olive/tomato salad was a nice touch to go with it. I got the Royal cannon and it was filled with kaymak!
Great patio and the food was very good. Staff was excellent. It is actually a very nice restaurant in an almost industrial area. Pricing was on the higher end.
Great food & atmosphere. We ordered the spicy shrimp & Veal steak and loved both dishes. Slightly on the expensive side but we had a wonderful experience. Definitely going back!
Amazing food great service. Quality and consistency. Great menu with countless options; seafood, meat, bbq, Veggies, great crepes, and perfect espresso. 150in TV.
I loved the patio because it has a roof covering in case it rains. The food and customer service was good. I ordered the deluxe burger. It was made from beef and lamb. I loved how the cheese oozed out of the burger! The grilled octopus was ok. It was over cooked, but my friend had it when it wasn't and loved it. The chocolate cake was homemade and rich. Definitely order the cake with ice cream!
My husband and I came here for lunch today and frankly it was a major letdown. Looking at the reviews we were pretty excited to try this place but were not happy after trying their food. We ordered their chicken sliders, chicken chevaps and three layer dip. Chicken sliders were not good and frankly after having a bite I left it. My husband found it mediocre but he did manage to eat it after adding chilli sauce to it. The chicken chevaps were a major disappointment. They were bland and were filled with cartilage. It felt like they had taken all the leftover meat and made a kebab out of it. We returned this dish. The three layer dip was the only item that was good and we both devoured it. The flavours were good and the ratio of ajvar to the cheese was perfectly balanced.
Our server Ivica was the best and he understood our reason for not liking the chicken chevaps and did not charge us for that.
Great patio and location. The 3 layer dip was fantastic. However the quality of chicken was not up to the mark. We tried the chicken chewaps and the sliders and both had cartilage inside. I shared the poor meat quality with my server, Ivica, and he was kind enough to show it to the kitchen and did not charge me for the chewaps. Good service but they need to improve their chicken.
Omg this place is a gem. Went here on a whim. Best burger I have had in canada. They wrap the meet AROUND the cheese and add a wonderful bun. I can't wait to go here again for a goat cheese burger!
We just want want to thank you, Royal Meats BBQ for preparing special see food? And delivering it. Thank you, the owner Mario Ostojić and his tim for excellent job. Bravooo!
We placed a pick up order from here when we had to do errands, it was our first time visiting and we thought it was quite good. We cannot wait for the lockdown to be over so we can go for a patio day or dine in experience
I've been here a couple times for lunch for the price you pay it's completely overpriced. And that sums it all up I'm not saying the food is not good but it's just not worth the money you can go to other barbecue places and spend half of the money easily then you would over here
Always consistent food quality for meat eaters. Secret is they own a butcher shop as well where they manufacture all that delicious cevaps. So you know meat is fresh and top notch. Bit pricey on drinks. Never disappointed.
This place is horrible and I am Serbian btw. I don't know what the owner of this place is thinking. He became a money hungry guy all he cares about is money. I was there this weekend and I don't know where to start. First of all as a customer you feel like no one cares you are there. The staff make you feel like you are inconveniencing them, and have these serious faces. Second, the food didn't taste good and the bun for my chevapi was hard like a rock, how can you serve that? Fries oily. Third, the prices are ridiculous - the word overpriced is an understatement. On the card machine the first screen you see is tips starting from 15% and upward. Forth, why do you have a 'hostess' counter at the entrance. Are you a fine dining restaurant? Like someone else commented here go to Bonimi instead it's better money's worth and you are treated with respect.
Food is great. I had Royal Deluxe. Always very fresh and tasty.but man wait is so long! Better come with a sandwich and eat it in parking lot.if you hungry that is.
I really like this place - i give it a 4.5. They have booths but they had 2 play off games coming up and they were reserved - so if nit in a booth its uncomfortable with a toddler because seating is tight. Its good for bigger parties. They even have a take out area and meat/deli etc. The sandwiches all looked amazing and most grilled. The fish shareable platter was Amazing. The coconut shrimp and grilled and fried calamari were off the charts. The service equally good. I ordered the chavps (cevapi) it the dinner comes with salad (schlopi) and unfortunately no bread. Who evers eaten cevapi knows that its nothing without bread and Kaymac (the white sauce it always comes with.) That was disappointing for me. I ordered bread on the side. The lamb and beef chevap itself was Tasty and super juicy. My hubby ordered an amazing burger stuffed with goat cheese and cesar - he was i. Heaven. All together it was a wonderful experience. In the summer they offer a patio and i can see it getting rammed.
Stay away! Go to Bonimi on Bloor Street instead! Horrible food. Cheap meat. Chevap was over cooked and burnt. Karajordeve schnitzel (rolled schnitzel stuffed with kajmak cheese) was greasy. We are Serbian and we know how this food should be prepared. $65 for awful food. Will never come here again.
Excellent meats in a variety of shapes and sizes. We've had a shareable plate with 10 chevaps, shopska salad and fries. Plenty of food for 2. And of course delicious lepinjas, flat buns soaked in oil. The only thing they can improve on is the audio; they can use better speakers and a bit lower volume.
Very good. Everything was fresh & delicious. They have a fresh meat counter where you can choose your meat if you like. I had the pork shish kabob & a great tasting salad.
Love the fresh bbq at this place. It was a favourite to visit for my friends and I when it first opened and upon returning yesterday I have fond memories. Flavours are great and recommended toppings are excellent. Would definitely recommend
Exceptional meats, fresh butcher counter, meat BBQed fresh to order with great sides. Dont miss out on putting kaymak on your burger, it's a must have burger topping in Serbia. Overall, I may be biased because I ate this kind of BBQ growing up but it's absolutely something you must try for yourself!
Excellent Food. Took my mom for lunch today. Music was a bit loud but everything was great including the price. Cevap are my fav. We eat this at home all the time. Ended up buying few boxes of the frozen ones. Great prices Definitely returning and ordering food for catering next time
Had their royal king Burger for lunch. The beef is not beef but some mixture that have little beef taste. Service is slow. Atmosphere is quite good. Like the new Reno. 50 bucks for two for lunch is not for every day visit.
This place is hands down one of the best places to go for a fresh, tasty barbaque. Staff is great too and food is affordable! Great looking interior as well i reccomend the place to anyone
Classy yet casual, modern, European style atmosphere. Soccer on the big screen. Excellent quality eastern European food. Huge drink selection. Been many times, always delicious.
Love this place, beer and chevapi, just like home. Atmosphere is fantastic, beer is great, food is better. You can't do wrong with anything on the menu.
Nice interior and great food. A little on the expensive side but for the quality of the food you're getting and the quantity you're getting. One negative though is that they don't give you kajmak when you get the lepinja (bread) when you're ordering to go.
There is onsite parking in front and around the building but at peak times it seems like they could use even more spaces.
The food was incredible. We ordered the Fish Shareable amd the Meat Platter 1 for 3 of us and it was far too much food but we left feeling very gluttonous with full bellies. We even finished the meal with a desert that just topped of my belly.
The food is not cheap but you get what you pay for and I'm glad I wasn't paying.
A birthday celebration that wound up in the toilet. When it was my turn to order I told the waitress that I have numerous food allergies and that I cannot eat most things. I asked many questions about what they had and how it was prepared. I ended up ordering the grilled shrimp plain. I said no spices, no oil, nothing. It was repeated numerous times, so I thought I felt comfortable with my very plain chose. Once it was served I noticed that it looked like it had something on it. I thought perhaps it could have been a dirty grill, not scrubbed clean like most Good restaurants will do for many of us that do suffer with food allergies or afflictions. In reality and hindsight, I should have called the waitress back to question the poor preparation of my meal, but I ate it anyways. The main reason I didn't was that the waitress seemed very uninterested. It was a very expensive meal that wound up causing me a lot of grief. Lesson learned. The waitress also told us that there was a mandatory 18% gratuity automatically added to parties of 10+, which I just found out was also untrue. Do yourself a favour and eat elsewhere!
The place smells like raw meat. The most horrible service I've received at a restaurant. They charged me full price, even though it was advertised that the appetizers were half price before 6pm. I called prior to going in to verify that it would be indeed half price, the person over the phone said "you have to be in the restaurant by 6pm to get half price". I arrived at 5: 59pm, but was charged full price, and then they changed the story, saying that the order had to be punched in before 6pm. I spoke to the manager and explained what had happened, and said "I don't think you were told that, because I train them better". Then the manager walked away to take a phone call even though he wasn't done attending to my complaint. The food is just average, yet overpriced. There are much better places to eat in the area.
Love this place! Incredible food, outstanding decor and professional service put this restaurant on a top of my list of must experience spots on your visit to Toronto! Rare find!
Half price shareables between 3-6pm on weekdays great cevaps beware asking for ingredients to be left out of salads or pre set meals - even if the food comes out differently then what you ordered they will ask you to pay for it.
