Royal Thai Embassy, Ottawa

We applied here more than 5 weeks ago for an online tourist visa and they haven't even checked the documents. Had to cancel all the tickets and bookings. And they are very rude when you try to reach them on the phone. What a waste of time and money!

We usually applied our visa through Thai embassy Vancouver and they only took 1 to 2 days to approve our applications. This time we applied through Ottawa because of the province we are from, we called to asked about the application and they said they won’t be able to look at it because they don’t have enough staff, so they told us to call Vancouver and see if we can reapply with them but they won’t give us refunds so we have to pay again. Like they don’t have enough staff is not our problem because it’s not free, it’s $65 per applicant and 5 of us so that is a lot of money, like it took us a few hours to make the $65 and they took it without looking at the applications, this is such a scam. Good thing Vancouver Thai embassy are so nice and willing to help us out. Never again Ottawa Thai Embassy. Don’t apply there if you don’t want to waste your money.

We applied our thai visa through Royal Thai Embassy Ottawa, our applications has been submitted for a week and nobody check it which got me worried because it’s getting close to our trip, I emailed them, they don’t reply. I then decided to apply through Vancouver Embassy, within 4 hours of applying through Vancouver Embassy, they check our applications.
Never again with Ottawa, such a scam!
Waste of money, waste of time!

We applied for a visa for my husband. Communication was ok; but the visa (transit visa) that we paid for and that we were promised over the phone was never issued. We never heard from the staff again. That's just not how you deal with people who want to travel the country.

Good service, lovely staff, must make an appointment before coming. Prepare your documents. It will be very easy for everyone.
