From start to finish, the customer service side of things was immaculate! The lamb leg I got was AMAZING… they cut it for me and it tasted so so good too!

This place is great - the fig and pecorino sausages are next level good.

They’ve got a great selection of fruit/veg as well as cheese for when you’re in a pinch. They make some pretty delicious house made sauces.

Some items are definitely on the pricey side but you can't argue with the superb quality of their meats. Superbly fresh, cut to perfection and top quality animals. Would recommend this place to any serious meat conasouur. I purchased their Angus sirloin steaks. They we cut nice and thick but not too much so and had just the right amount of marbling throughout the meat. Juicy, tender and full of flavour.

Not really sure if they sell produce or stuff that takes up space on the shelf but since I came by to get chicken, no one could really explain why they wrapped it so it went sour in half an hour? It just seems overall people don’t come to buy the chicken and they’d rather sell other meat like sausages. Anyways the sliders were pretty good. I can’t say anything about the prepackaged meals because as long as they keep having their pompous attitudes, they might as well pretend they aren’t responsible for what they sell in the hood. Can’t fix stupid!

Abusive staff and food is bad - not fresh (sour meat, rotten fruit, expired packaged food) and BUGS!

The meat I got was expired but didn't notice untill I got home. Still cooked it and ate it

Amazing quality meat, Wagu, prime, AAA, French cut lamb. Amazing soups and marinated chickens. Highly recommended. I no long buy meat at grocery chains. Support small business.

I live to come here! There is an incredible selection that you will not get anywhere else and I am a dedicated carnivore. He also has such an amazing selection of marinated meat, so inventive I never have to think about what to make for dinner. And a ton of different flavours of sausages.yum! His produce section is huge and has lots of Ontario products and flowers. Every week, there is something new! His store is so much more than a butcher shop-his own brands of salad dressings, BBQ sauces and much more are to die for:) Rare balsamic vinegars, Potato chips from Italy, the best pastas.so many culinary adventures crammed into every little nook and cranny, Ernie knows his food! Take time to look at everything. His staff is so hardworking and always so nice as well. I love this place and have been coming since they opened.such knowledge and care, and it shows! Kudos!

I bought a marinated whole chicken two days ago and today I cooked it with the oven. The chicken meat tastes extremely sour with a bad smell. I have never experienced such bad quality at any butcher around the area. This is the first time and last time I am going to visit this store. Don’t get any marinated meat since there is no dates on the package they leave the meat there for months. I am worried about my safety now due to one bite of the sour meat.

Friendly staff and accomodating. Requested for a specific part of meat and the staff offered to get more from the back. Rating: Excellent

We have made this our go to place for consistently good beef. Seemed a bit disorganized today. Hoping all is well.

First timer, asked salesperson for SWEET sausage, with garlic would be nice. Explained first time, so I'd like to try 2 sausages. Sure, she says, our New Orleans has garlic. And what does she give me? Eight bucks worth of HOT CHORIZO. Cooked & served before noticing, and my guest nearly choked (can't eat hot peppers etc) and not even a hint of garlic. Do salespeople not know what *sweet* is? New First Time Customer Lost.

It was just around 5pm and I was gonna buy some meat for my dinner after work but there’s no butcher? That is their answer. It is 4th time at the same store. I can see da butcher inside cutting some meat ‍️

- Produce is hit or miss (mouldy)
- Inconsistent customer service
- Marinaded meat isn’t the freshest

Excellent service and great quality. You get what you pay for. Every time I've asked for a specific cut or a special trim, there's been no attempt to switch me to a pre cut portion. They understand that if you ask for something it's because that's what you're looking for.

Good butter tarts as well.

Love the branch out into prepped meals. Had the meat lasagna tonight. They nailed it. Can't decide if it's them or Queens Pasta with best fresh lasagna in Mimico.

Picked up a nice tomahawk steak and the service was perfect. Can’t wait to come back for more great steak selections

I’ve been a customer for over a year and a half and I’ve only ever experienced professional and friendly service. Love the quality and freshness of anything I’ve ever chosen in the store. You get what you pay for, the high quality is worth every penny! This is absolutely my favourite local shop for quality meat, produce and quick meal ideas. So glad to have this gem in the neighbourhood!

Royal York Meat Market has a great selection of products. They have a variety of sausages including honey garlic, sangaria, new orleans, apple mango, etc. Love their texas bbq marinade on their pork chops and their pre-marinated flattened chicken. The reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that their customer service can be inconsistent.

Nice looking meat but the customer service leaves alot to be desired. The young man behind the counter wouldn't listen when we asked to see the meat under the first layer. Told us "they're all the same" and relucted when we asked a few times nicely. Good product gets people in the door but good customer service keeps them coming back. Not sure what the problem was.

Unfriendly experience. Yelling at customers, not attentive. Didn’t feel welcome or comfortable. Didn’t buy everything I wanted because it felt like they couldn’t be bothered to help. Definitely taking my business elsewhere next time. Oh well!

Wow! I love this place.it’s a nice little butcher with a twist, fresh produce, side assortments and just a jaw dropper. Think of the meat you want and they’ll probably have it! I en been looking for good chicken schnitzels all over town and found them here.no one makes them like they do. They also have nicely marinated meats that are just divine!

Bought 2 pies packaged as steak/mushroom.
It was chicken/peas, 1/2 inch high pies instead. Very little chicken too. $40.

Today was the first.and last time. Brutal service. I came in looking for a specific size of prime rib and everything they had was too big. I enquired about cutting it down and they responded “no”. Seriously?

A true neighbourhood gem. Great selection of meats, house made sausages, and fresh fish, along with veggies and nice but not outrageously expensive pantry items.

This is a great shop.really nice meats and a good selection of vegetables, cheese, and pasta.also, great olive oils and canned tomatoes.

So happy to have this store in our neighborhood. Great selection of meats and sausages and they go out of their way to make their storefront appealing and inviting. Sadly, I can't say the same about many other places in the area. Keep up the great work! #ShopLocal

My first time shopping there today and happy to find a local organic butcher nearby! So many great choices in cuts of meat. Looking forward to going back.

The veggies are good. Wrapped meat is always old and rotten. Never buy seasoned meat. I'm surprised they pass food inspection.

You can’t go wrong purchasing your meat here! Service is amazing and employees go out of their way to please you. I may never go to a supermarket to purchase my meat again!

Two days ago stepped in. New management - guess who?
Meat, when out off plastic, has rotten, acid smell.
Cucumber is full of water, same goes to the greenery.
You have to be aware and focused like you are on enemy territory.
Never again.

They have been through so much staff since they opened. I have never seen the same person twice when I have gone into the shop except the rude older woman. She does get really huffy whenever you ask her something. There are so many butchers these days who bend over backwards to provide excellent service. Not this place. Too bad because looks like they have put in a great deal of effort. Fortunately I have not had bad experience with meat or produce. Though not surprised because of the huge amounts of produce they have

The customer service is so bad! But now reading peoples reviews i think its not only me! When i asked the old lady to add one more steak to my order it was like asking her the impossible! She threw the existing bag of steak on the counter and huffed! Also the prices are not reasonable! And not the best taste!

So I know the owner personally and I can tell u that this guy is the guy that knows the meat! For someone to get moldy meat or less then amazing sausages is a outright lie! I have a feeling that there is some slandering going on, and with good reason! I’m shocked to see any negative reviews! Go in there and talk to Ernie and get ur ish straightened out! There family they don’t play games!

The selection is great but everytime I go, the service is awful and even quite rude. I think I will stop spending my my family food budget here. If they don't value customers, then I'll go elsewhere.

Been coming here for months. Called today to confirm the 6pm close time. Came at 5: 52 plenty of time to grab a few items to be rudely told they are close by an older lady. When I pointed out the time she threw her hands up huffed and puffed before asking rudely what I need. I walked out and will never be back.

Terrible experience. Pointed out that they were selling moldy peppers and then they just wiped off the mold and put it back on the shelf. Avoid this place if you don't want to get sick.

I wish I could give it NO STARS. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Very unprofessional, the owner is extremely rude and treats customers like garbage. He sold me spoiled sausages, I returned the same day to show him and he did not take any responsibility. He actually said to me if I didn't like it not to come back. Is this how you treat your customers!? I have even heard horror stories from friends who have gone about how disgusting the place is.

AAAA+ butcher shop. A banquet of meat in front of you as you enter. Mouth-watering cuts of meat and a variety of flavours. Their meats certainly live up to the hype. I will travel down from newmarket to get my meat from these guys because that's how good they are.
