Update from a second order:

So the laptop showed up, everything was perfect and to spec. I realized I didnt order a second battery. My bad. I looked on the website and didn't see anything listed. It was after hours, I sent an email, and within an hour I had a reply, was told that they would send me a product link in the morning, which they did. The final price was cheaper than anything on Amazon. Its a niche market and these folks know how to keep customers happy. I cant say this enough, if you have questions call/email/ask. If you don't see something say something. I could not be more satisfied.

First order:
This company is without a doubt the easiest, friendliest, and most technically savvy company I have worked in with a very long time. I have been in the market for a rugged laptop for 2 years now, tracking changes in price and availability and decided now was the time to buy. I needed a very specific build and within 15 minutes Rugged Books had what I needed with a listed price lower then all of the other sellers I was looking at. The online store was easy to use and the phone customer service was perfect. Absolutely perfect. If you are in the market for one of their products I recommend them completely. I'll be sending everyone who asks me where I got my computer (FOR AN AMAZING DEAL!) to these folks. Buy with confidence.

Received a Toughpad with a spray-painted battery (with very rough texture), including the rubber gasket. This was not mentioned in the description (and the photos) and compromises the device’s waterproof feature, essential for its intended rugged use outdoors. Rugged Books representative was unhelpful in providing a solution, suggesting I should buy a new $140 battery from them. Disappointed with the purchase as it deviates significantly from the expected refurbished condition.

I got the Panasonic CF-33 computer yesterday afternoon and was only able to sit down and turn it on last night. (Thanks for the Super fast delivery)

Right out of the box, I am thoroughly impressed! I’ve had many computers in my time and this is the first one I immediately fell in love with and I haven’t even transferred my files over yet.

I was impressed with Rugged Books careful packing of the machine for shipping to me and the fact that it came with an original power supply too was great and unexpected.

The CF-33 sent to me is absolutely flawless - - -I can’t find any scuffs or even signs of use. I love the look of this machine and it’s good and solid. – The CF-33 offers so much flexibility for me and I would think anyone else really.

I was really happy too that I had to load Windows 10 on my own too - - -Just like a new computer - I’ve had a refurb computer come to me where it just boots up like it’s a computer they literally took off someone’s desk. (It went back)

My old CF-19 literally takes 5-7 minutes to fully boot up before I can use it - - -The CF-33 is on and ready to go in under 30 seconds - - -I’m so use to turning on the CF-19 and then going to do something else while it boots up. So impressed with the difference in speed. I tried the internet too and again, the webpage’s just pop up.

My CF-19 still works and it will be a great computer to use in the kitchen. I've had the CF-19 for years and its been dropped lots of times - -Great computers! This is a testament to the durability of the Panasonic Toughbook product line.

With the CF-33, I ran Windows Update to bring the OS up to date and this worked really well too – I noticed too it didn’t take a lot of time to charge up the batteries.

I can tell you the screen on the CF-33 is CRISP and CLEAR and BRIGHT - I was blown away - so nice.

I can honestly see why brand new these CF-33 units sell for well over 4k - Its hard to tell sometimes from pictures but it only took me under a minute of holding this unit to realize this is really, really well made laptop/tablet computer. I love the aesthetic of the Panasonic line and am partial to Japanese made products.

I’m super impressed guys and am so glad that I made this purchase from Rugged Books Inc. Excellent customer service too and everyone I dealt with (Juan, Naz and Accounting) were really attentive, responsive and so helpful.

It is very apparent that Rugged Books take great care in their refurbishments and you folks have exceeded my expectations. I'll be more than happy to steer friends or family in your direction.

I bought a panasonic cf54 off Amazon and had a slight problem. When I mentioned it in my review I was contacted by Gavan who immediately took care of the issue. I just want to comment on his great customer service and will recommend your company for great products and service. I work in the transit industry and go all over the US and Canada. Do not buy from them. There are plenty of other more reputable companies out there. I spent over $4000 on a computer but it never arrived. Ruggedbooks kept my money and blamed DHL but refused to work with DHL (even though DHL stated it was standard policy for the shipper to initiate the claim). After pleading with DHL, they opened a claim on my behalf and determined that it was lost in transit. They offered a refund for Ruggedbooks, but Ruggedbooks again refused to work with DHL, preferring to just keep my money. I was fortunately able to get a full refund by convincing my credit card company to stop payment. Thank goodness my credit card company and DHL were helpful, but Ruggedbooks should be ashamed of their horrible customer service. Definitely find a different seller!

These guys have helped us out numerous times. They go above and beyond to help fill our hardware requests. They've even offered support on similar devices I didn't purchase through them.

Their prices are excellent too.

Super accommodating company. I purchased 27 panasonic toughpads from Rugged Books and the process was easy. The tablets arrived quickly and well packed. There were a few minor issues with some of them, and they have been extremely helpful.

Bought a refurbished Lenovo laptop from Rugged Books via Amazon. After 3 months and very little use, keyboard and trackpad stopped working. Warranty was 3 months and so will need to pay to get fixed. I will not use this vendor again.

Update: After some poking around, I learned that the problem was related to a missing driver. After updating, the laptop now works fine. Since the issue is not hardware related, my complaint is less severe (and so I have upgraded to 3 stars). Still, this option could have been suggested by the vendor when I contacted them for help. On a more positive note, I received a phone call today asking to discuss the problem I mention in this comment. Better late than never! This inspired me to update my comment.

I purchased a refurbished Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 from Rugged Books through New Egg. The laptop arrived promptly, well packaged and in near mint condition. I had an issue with the operating system (the computer came with Win 7 and Win 10), and Rugged Books immediately sent out to me a memory stick with the correct Windows version, and also provided technical support on the phone for the installation.

We have purchased multiple refurbished Toughbooks and they never disappoint. They stand by their product and the customer service is always excellent!

All I can say is WOW!

The refurbished computer I purchased arrived quickly and, with one minor exception, looks and works like new. The storage device was faulty so they quickly provided another unit. Very nice people and easy to work with.

Nazih was a pleasure and a professional during conversations regarding upgrades I requested for the refurbished Panasonic CF-53 already on order, but hadn't quite shipped yet. Also, Gavan was skilled and quick helping me with an Operating System question. Fast shipping. Overkill packaging. I couldn't be more pleased. Two weeks after purchase, I used this device for presenting a day-long class I conduct. It was responsive and reliable. If they had non-rugged books, I'd shop here 1st for them too.

I purchased two toughbooks from Rugged Books last week. We had a small issue with one of them. Rugged Books customer service is excellent! They sent us a new one immediately. We are very happy with the two we purchased and I just ordered 3 more today. We are using them in our shops. I have talked with several people at Rugged Books and all of them have been extremely helpful and professional. I highly recommend Rugged Books!

Awesome purchase, questions were answered fast, price was great, toughbook was shipped promptly with tracking, packaged well and arrived quickly, shipped fast even with requested upgrades, all upgrades were received as ordered, referb but looks new and came with restore flash drive, and above all the follow up customer service was prompt and was above and beyond what was required. I'll come here again for future needs and I highly recommend.
