We bought a used motorhome in January. Like the other reviews say, once they have your money they don't care. We had to bug over and over to get the vehicle. When we got the bus there was damage because they left the slides out all winter. Damage was mould, frozen water logged walls and delamination all over. Engine light came on after 30 min of driving. Had to bring it back to get it serviced. Again calls after calls to get it back. When we did get it back, we made it 30min down the road and the light came back on. Called them back and was ghosted from then on. We drove it across Canada. Thinking it was safe. The shift cable snapped. Rusted through. The transmission bell housing is shattered. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else for a large purchase like this.

And that is the answer I expected. A rush off

Giving 1 star as 0 stars is not an option. Unbelievable customer service from the service department. The service is not there for the client. I purchased a brand new 2023 Jayco from them, yes, this was mistake number 1.

Took possession on June 1,2023 and let me tell ya the problems keep on coming.

On July 1st, my main slide started leaking so bad that the trailer is now tarped and mold is now present.they sent one of their repair companies to "repair" it.you will never believe what they did.a 2x4 brace in the dinette, which I cannot use.this was the solution. This first company, which do not know what they are doing, walked on the slide roof, you got it.a screw punctured the roof causing it to leak even more.they fixed a 4.5 inch gap on the slide roof with a 3 inch wiper. 1.5 inch gap is still there. WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY. 3 techs from 3 different companies advised the slide needed replacement.not happening, as of September 6,2023, I am still waiting for a detailed list of the work that is being done

Then they sent a second company to repair it, this second company along with the first advised that the trailer needed to be taken off site as there are way too many repairs that are needed.

The big window in my slide is leaking, this is caused by the slide being damaged from the get go as a proper PDI was not done

The sink is leaking, will it be repaired, no clue.

The back door is bent out of shape and leaking, they fixed it, how you ask.my awning is still leaking despite them "repairing" it twice

there was a hole in my bedroom slide, how did they fix this you ask, well, silicone caulking was the answer. Just a small band aid applied.

I have had 3 company's look over this trailer and all 3 have said it needs to be removed from site and looked over thoroughly. For over 2 months they were saying it needs to be repaired off site, however, the minute I make them accountable for their incompetence, it can now, all of a sudden be repaired on site

If I want the trailer to be repaired off site, I must dish out another $5k course at my cost to get it ready to be removed and again my cost to have it reinstalled in the spring. How is their incompetence becoming my costly issue.oh yes.it's the Butler Group. Their response to this.you it is a travel trailer! OMFG, the trailer is parked and leveled on a site.don't give me that line of BS

BUYER BEWARE, RV Canada is the absolute worse to deal with when repairs are needed. Once they get your money.guess what, you no longer matter and they will continue to tow the company line.

I didn't always have the best experience with RV Canada but decided to give them another chance. Our RV advisor, Andre, really treated us well, both during and after the sale. We believe he really had our best interest at heart. Also Rami, the financial manager was very patient (I can be quirky) and we left feeling good about the overall experience even though we may have slightly overpaid for the unit.

The buying experience is was gets the stars. Zach (salesman) and Tyler (finance guy) were great to deal with.
But, as with almost any major purchase, you’re going to find things that need to be fixed.
However, once this company has your money, they forget about you completely.

My brand new trailer had leaking pipes in the kitchen sink. After 3 or 4 phone calls to the dealership and not getting any calls back, I finally said “forget warranty. Just let me buy the parts and I’ll fix it myself”. What a fantastic way to handle warranty! And that’s just one of things that I’m using for this review…. There are other “ignores” as well, but I just don’t want this review to be a long rant.

When my wife and I trade up in a few years for a motor home, we will definitely be looking elsewhere for it, without question.

We have purchased 3 RV's over the years and we have always been pleased with the sale and financing process. RV Canada has always a good selection at various prices. We always took our time to think and make the right decision without any pressure. The Service Centre has knowledgeable advisors that are attentive and very helpful.

0 stars if it was an option.

UPDATE

Yes, the sales contract is under my boyfriend’s name - Laflamme. Search under Shadow Cruiser and you will no doubt find us immediately.

Also…. Surprise, surprise…. Only one of the 3 issues sent to the manufacturer to fix under warranty were approved.

They say we are the ones who ripped the mattress and the justification for not approving the water damage is because we didn’t take a picture of the undone drain. I didn’t know I was supposed to stop trying to find and fix an active leak to ensure less damage to take a picture.

Response from RV Canada service is so sorry, you should contact the manufacturer (s) directly as you have more pull as the customer. In other words you wash your hands of us.

I will certainly contact Ernesto and see if anything changes but I won’t hold my breath.

——————————————————
We purchased a brand new travel trailer in February and took delivery in April.

We have been in contact with service as well as sales about defects and problems - some of which have been addressed. You would think basic and plainly visible problems would have been noticed and rectified before delivery to the client…

I have been told by sales that the PDI was done, but if so, it was done extremely poorly! I have contacted other dealers to ask what is checked in their PDIs and most cover the issues we have. Justification I have been given by RV Canada…”some things arise after the PDI is done”.

First off, both entrance doors as well as the stairs had to be adjusted for us to be able to even enter the trailer upon pick up. Most of the locks were seized too.
*I asked the tech if a PDI was done, because of this, and he said “It was supposed to have been done but it doesn’t really seem like it. It wasn’t me and if it was done, whoever did it did a really bad job”.

Within a very short amount of time we discovered a slew of other issues. The pop out was crooked, the awning ripped, the shower drain was not attached (which caused a leak and water damage), the mattress was ripped, the fridge did not stay shut while traveling (which caused the loss of a full load of food), the fridge in the outside kitchen was not secured properly so moved around and actually fell out onto the ground when the access door was opened, the dvd player didn’t work properly and it didn’t seem the undercoating was done - just to name a few.

Now remember, this is a NEW trailer which we have had for 4 months that either started falling apart, was broken or defective within a month. At a bare minimum, a quarter of the problems should have been fixed before delivery.

To top things off, we were charged a service fee to inspect things that “were working properly” It is only fair to note that I had photos to prove things didn’t work and I had to return to service to physically point out very visible damage, which according to technicians, didn’t exist.

Some things have been sent to the manufacturer for repair approval under the warranty, but I’m told they may be denied even though it was sold to us new with these defects.

Now after all of this, and upon further discussion with sales, our only option is to trade it in at a substantial financial loss.

This is, by far, absolutely the worst product we have ever purchased and to put it mildly, our overall experience has been extremely disappointing to say the least.

I agree with the last statement I just picked up my RV Winnebago Travato from the Carp Rd Service centre they have had the unit for 5 weeks now. Oh they fixed some of the issues the ones they fixed were from PDI that were missed two that were found fixed and two that they found not fixed the awning to be replaced under extended warranty that I paid a lot for thank goodness I did and the drawer slide that was to be fixed. I was informed it was all done and replaced and ready to go. Was there for my appointment time and managers were there as well ignored me left when I arrived home these two I noticed. A friend marked the old batteries will be checked as they said they changed them can’t trust these people to be honest and transparent. So disappointed with them would not recommend you buy from them new ore used they don’t care. And please don’t respond that you are not aware you most certainly are. Had I done my research about this company from sales to service I would have never purchased from them and do not recommend there are many out there that care just not this one.

We purchased an older class A motorhome (2005) 3 months ago. This is our first motorhome. It is in very good shape for an older motorhome. When we were finally told it was ready we went to pick it up. This was after 3 phone calls weeks after they had full payment. We were given a tour again by someone who didn’t know any more about the motorhome than my husband did. We asked about a book on the rv and he said he didn’t know! Later when I cleaned I found a briefcase with a bunch of info on the rv. One of the awnings wasn’t working so they had 3 people trying to figure out what was wrong with it! No one could figure it out. Finally my husband wondered if it had anything to do with key being in ignition. IT DID! On our way home engine over heated and we had to pull over. We had only driven about 10 minutes when the beeping started. My husband called and he was told they had someone from Caterpillar manufacturer go over the entire engine with their computer to diagnose any problems! Engine cooled down and fortunately we made the hour trip home. My husband had a mechanic look at it and we had to replace the rad costing us another $3000.00 dollars. We also had to replace lights inside and my husband had to fix hydraulic levelling system. He is also working on the second awning that doesn’t work properly. We realize it is an older motorhome but shouldn’t not have been told there were no problems with it!

The WORST costumer service I have ever experience. I asked them a simple Question at the begin of July. They email back That someone would be contacting me shortly. I have messaged the about 8 times same answer. Definitely NEVER use this company. Deadbeats

Be careful when buying from them! We definitely got pushed into buying our trailer and made it sound like a great deal but now we are looking to upgrade and decided to look at another dealer and found out we overpaid big time in all the hidden fees and freight payments!

Original post: Si je pouvais mettre 0.00000 ce serait mon choix. If I could chose a 0.00000 it would be appropriated.

My reply to RV Canada: RV Canada.

We purchased a 2019 Sunseeker 2400WS last year knowing that buying a used RV requires a diligent attention and expecting usual maintenance problems as the unit was a 2019, but if our previous experience with RV dealership were absolutely positive this one was the absolute opposite:
Registration and ownership: the documents prior to the transfer were improperly completed or missing and we had to present ourselves 3 times at the SAAQ.
On delivery day: None of the problems identified prior to the sale and on site that same day by your own inspector was fixed, after numerous hours; we agreed to reschedule an appointment as the employers had no time to repair those.
• a rubber seal on RV slide out had to be fix and a compartment door could’nt open and needed for them to undo the interior kichen seat (so they say).

On delivery day heading home: after an hour on the road 2 warning messages appeared on the console, as there was too much oil and not enough DEF … furthermore the air conditioning of the Sprinter did not work.

On our first camping: We notice that both tanks (black and grey water) were full and later found that the slide out wasn’t coming in and the Sprinter battery was faulty.

To summarize: We paid 135 000 $ for the 2019 Sunseeker and a 15 000 $ RV insurance which is actually covering some of the numerous expenses encountered (the only purchase we don't regret).
At the time we candidly thought that the service centre might have been under pressure and we agreed to get what was left to be fixed on early spring this year, among those, the compartment door that could’nt open and needed for them to undo the interior kichen seat and the slide out. Well instead of fixing the door latch they broke the entire door and tape it as for the slide their expertise concluded that it worked fine and that they could not reproduce the problem. We were charge a 1 400 $ for a door that was broken instead of fix and a slide that still has intermittent problems.

So we want back to our previous dealership and decided to offer it in exchanged, our lost in this adventure add-up to several tens of thousand dollars.

On their first inspection, our actual dealer quickly identify over 10 items (including the slide which is definitely faulty) that were defective.
Needless to add that most of the people to whom we spoke have a pretty bad opinion of RV Ottawa. So all of this to explain why RV Canada deserve less than 1 star.

If you buy an RV with RV Canada, expect to wait at least 6 month to a year for service. 2 year ago the awning on my Jayco was defective, they approved the replacement under warranty but couldn't get a service all summer, we ended up picking up the parts from the depot and installing it ourselves. Not only that, but RV Canada reported back to their insurance company and claimed hour for warranty call even though we installed it ourselves.

We have a 2020 Jayco, model 287BHS purchased August 31,2020. We also purchased the SAL Protection Plan, which included 'On Site Protection Plan' promoted heavily by the dealer. In the the first week of May 2023, we noticed that our A/C unit was functioning, but no cold air.
We called and spoke to David Kennedy (service manager) at the Carp Road RV Repair Facility. David advised he was new on the job, but would try to assist. He queried us about the make and model of the A/C unit, and asked about the SAL Insurance.
After four phone calls and one from my wife, he told us he wasn't sure if the unit could be repaired, and would only be able to send a tech in July to to our campsite to investigate.
Then no return calls!
What kind of customer service is this, Mr Butler? Do you expect repeat business, when you are unable to fulfil obligations set out in a negotiation?
Luckily, another Valley RV Dealer was able to fulfil the changeout of the Dometic A/C unit within a week of calling, with a smile and promptness.
Buyer Beware... RV Canada is unable to complete after service, or return phone calls!

I went down to the big RV show at the Canadian in Tire Centre in Ottawa. It was my First time there. I was more than pleased to see members of The sales team greeting you at the gate with a golf cart to take you around. They had tons of cold water bottles and some light snacks in the tents. My sales Rep Andre was very helpful in my quest to find a trailer that was the right fit for me. I did a trade in and everything went smoothly with that as well. It was a great experience and I recommend going there to anyone who is looking for an RV or camper trailer.
I must also mention again the great customer service, I later realized I couldn’t find my ownership for my trade in. Rami from head office took care of that for me. They are very professional. Sooo pleased! Thank you guys!

Sean M, the sale manager in Ottawa, saved our long weekend! He went out of his way to help us diagnose a problem we had with our Class C Jayco and helped us fix the problem. We tried Jayco direct and they couldn’t help us, but Sean guided and directed us and got it fixed. Thank you again Sean M. Your after sales and customer service goes above and beyond. THANK YOU!
