Personally I love cold noodles. This was my first to try their ramen. It had a lot of toppings and you can make it large for free. I’ll make it large next time. The noodles were firm which I loved.
The mapo tofu had a lot of spices which reminded me of real one. One of my favorite places both in summer and winter season.
Definitely my favourite underrated ramen spot in town. Their Tsukemen is amazingly thick and flavourful. Mapo tofu is also the iconic taste of how it should be made Japanese style. However, don’t try their buy one get one Uber deal. The portion size gets very small.
Ramen was okay but I am not sure I would order it again. I got the vegetarian shoyu ramen. The noodles may have been old as they kept breaking apart which I have not experienced before at a ramen place.
The staff were very kind and the meal came.fast though so maybe i just was unlucky with my order.
I've been going to this ramen place for about 6+ years (if I can remember correctly). I was at their location downtown before it burned down. Their ramen is so good. It's unique in the sense that the soup is thick, and the noodles are quite thick as well, but if you like that style of ramen you'll really enjoy this place. It's personally my favourite. I'm a huge fan of their spicy miso soup base. My only two complaints that stop me from going more often would be the pricing and consistency. It's insanely expensive for a bowl of ramen, and sometimes the taste can be a bit bland- it seems they have some inconsistent days.
Non-celiac friendly place. We love their ramen and have been regulars for the long time. Today was second time when I asked for “no noodles and rice on the side” and it comes with noodles in it. However, this time they didn’t even offer to fix it. Since noodles sucked in most of the ramen I was able to have only 20% of the ordered dish. We asked for some extra broth and were told it would be $7 more. Overall pretty upset with the experience even though we were so looking forward going to Ryus for the whole week.
The spicy miso ramen is so good—-it is great actually. If you are a fan of mabo tofu, it is a combination of that with a rich broth of ramen soup. It is not salty or too heavy. It has a thick noodle that goes so well with the soup.
My friends and I went for noodles after working up an appetite at the pool. Staff is friendly. Had a bit of a hard time getting through construction @ Danforth and Broadview, but I will not stop us from coming back. I had curried beef and noodles. The dish was quite tasty, but I was disappointed in the size of the beef portion.
My friends enjoyed their meals and portions were adequate. Lots of different enjoyable flavors.
Prices are reasonable for the city. Smaller cozy place for a relaxed dinner.
We got take out and are vegetarian, so tried their 3 veggie ramen. The cold ramen is by far the best, the other two were 'meh' in comparison, honestly. We'll be back for the chilled noodles though!
It's summer and a bowl of hot noodle soup is definitely not on my mind. Good thing I noticed Ryus Noodle Bar was advertising their seasonal cold noodle. The sweet chili sauce cold salad noodle was very refreshing and I didn't have to sweat buckets to enjoy some delicious noodles. They offer a free size upgrade for the dish that I ordered but the regular size was already sufficient for me. The shop can be quite busy sometime but that's kind of like a typical Japanese noodle bar experience.
Love the variety of ramen - there are several broths to choose from - as well as other types of food for those who don't want ramen at all. The broth is very flavourful, noodles are tasty and have a great texture too. Service is quick and friendly. My only issue was that they could be less stingy with the toppings. Both mine and my date's ramen only had two or three pieces and I would've liked the second half of my egg.
I love the spicy miso ramen that had mapo tofu on top. Really unique and delicious. There's lots of other menu items I want to go back and try. Service was also great.
