Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School

Went to this school for three years, then decided it was time I moved to a different one. Teachers and staff are rude and don’t care for their students one bit. They’re dramatic and can’t stand to be proven wrong. They think they’re always right and If you try to even say anything back they get defensive and mad for the smallest things. I’m glad I left, I’m going to a better school now where I can truly get an education. 3 years going to this pathetic failure of a school and learned nothing. I feel sorry for the students that still go there. Some of you teachers need to reconsider your career choice if you can’t even be nice or at least show that you care. Also a little tip, maybe actually try teaching and interacting with students instead of showing them dumb videos all the time and calling that a lesson

Schools under investigation for very serious matter m and the principal isn’t taking it seriously what so ever. This schools been known for such acts and having the staff sweep it under the rug. Not a good school if you want ur children to feel safe.

I wake up everyday in agony wishing I had not woken up. All thanks to this disgraceful and very unempathatic school. This school has given nightmares that still occur. I will never forget the terror and severe trauma I have received from attending this complete utter failure of a school.

Idk the people here are just shady yk and the fire alarm be going off every week so like maybe y'all need a fire safety lesson or something and the uniforms kinda ugly ngl

Grade 9 experience, based on my son.
Half of the teachers were rude, and really do not care about students.
Experience is based on my son, his class mates (from different classes).
I understand now why the rating of the school is low, as they continuously undermark the students nevermind how hard you try.
Let's see how it will be next year, if same, definitely changing the school.

The staff is sometimes very nice and empathetic to students, and the other half don’t seem to care. The science department is also very lacking, specifically with senior physics. The physics teachers do not do a thorough job of explaining and make assessment unmanageable (give almost no time). The only thing keeping this from 1 star are the very good math teachers who understand students and do a very good job at explaining.

Everything is great about the school except, they never respond to emails or messages, when one needs help before school starts.

It's an overwhelming building, the people are nice including teachers and there's respect to everyone in the building

This school teachers for 9 graders especially math teachers are very bad and not good at teaching at all when it comes to math, overall it is a great school

Dis school is garbage a ordered a taco and i'm still waiting 15 HOURS LATER i just wanted a taco

I feel like the Uniforms are a bad idea. They take away from students personality and cost a lot of money. The students are also forced to take off there jacket the second they enter the school during winter. It is really cold out side so when they come in there body must adjust it's temperature before taking off there jacket. Even when the students are on there lunch time can't express there fashion scene. They represent Purple for the school but then they call the colors red and blue to be gang related colors and the fact that they are inappropriate. They are color coding things and teaching students that certain color represent certain things, which is not true. I personally find this incredibly racist. All and all i feel like Jean Vanier Secondary School is a terrible place would not recommend attending.

Mrs. Zimmerman, you're a great person and never forget that! Keep doing what you're doing. You're awesome!

Great school but obviously every school has its share of bad teachers. School itself is amazing.
Very modern and large.
