Highly recommend it. The tickets for the museum and the church across the road cover for each other. The place is well laid out and lots of learning and activities.

Interesting Place to visit if you are interested in history and culture of native people. Ranger provide useful Information.

Very interesting reconstructed village, and almost evenmore interesting museum, with lots of first nation artifacts

I went on the day of truth and reconciliation, September the 30th. There was a wonderful ceremony for the survivors
Afterwards we were able to make a medicine pouch and view the amazing reconstruction that has gone on here. We watched a very, very poignant, sad and difficult video called" the nature of healing" I highly recommend it for anyone who has questions about how our first nations people were treated.

Cool, small, historical place. Too expensive but you can visit the Martyr shrine right after for free

Fabulous and one of the most interesting visits you can have in Ontario. The facilities are superbly maintained and designed. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable. You really travel in time when you walk around and the whole visit is super rich in details and information about the site and what happened. A total must if you are around.

Very interesting place, with knowledgeable staff, a great self guided tour app, and ongoing archological work.

Went for labour day weekend. Most of their staff has been laid off so there were almost no costumed staff available to teach about the village, no activities, 1 demonstration at the cook house (who was a great interpreter by the way).

While the experience was still sort of interesting, I am miffed that the expectation is to pay full price without a full experience during this time of year. Perhaps there should be a shoulder season reduction since there are almost no staff on site.

That said, I am excited to go back for harvest weekend, first light and I do recommend this place. It is just a shame that people who go in mat, early June, and labour day weekend or later won't get the same learning experience about this amazing space in canadian culture thst effortlessly can weave stories about Indigenous history and European history. 4 out of 5 because this is a great place.but beware of your timing.

An outstanding museum and open air recreation of the settlement. The quality if the reconstruction is truly impressive. The feel of the period is well conveyed although one can't help concluding that it doesnt fully acknowledge the human disaster of yet another example of the arrogant European culture and religion destroying another race both ethnically and literally (diseases brought by the immigrants from France caused the deaths of over half of the Indigenous people). It gets a mention, but not enough in my opinion, the thrust if this recreated settlement and the nearby church and shrines being to celebrate the invading religion which destroyed the balance of nature leading toward to crisis world we have today.
So - lovely piece of archeological and building work, but sad backstory of the cancer that is 'white civilization '

Very interesting exhibition demonstrating what the settlement would have been like in the 1600s. We had a great time!

This year's group of staff where really engaging and knowledgeable! Their enthusiasm for history was just brilliant!

Excellent experience. Great for young kids as well. History and family. It's genuinely worth it.

Wonderful historic site Interpretive staff were excellent. Admission includes a visit to the Martyrs shrine, which is definitively worth a visit.

Very interesting place and the staff where very informative and interacted with all the guests while we were there.

I really felt like I was stepping back in time. Very period-specific and you can tell the staff truly enjoy what they are doing; they are living historians. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll definitely go back just to re-experience it.

Magnifique endroit, très belle reconstitution de Saint Marie, l'application nous donne énormément de détails sur l'histoire de du peuple wendat et des missionnaire chrétiens.

An immersive experience, nice people, perfect weather, lots of interesting activities to try!

Beau site reconstitué, pas mal d'explications avec l'audio guide téléchargeable et gratuit. Morceau de l'histoire canadienne française importante mais qui manque de nuance dans les propos, probablement dû au manque de documentation sur cette période de l'histoire. Il faut donc remettre cette visite dans le contexte des relations franco-autochtones de l'époque.
Accueil excellent de la part du staff sur place. Cependant, je ne comprends pas comment on peut demander à des personnes de travailler dans un espace clos avec un feu de bois allumé toute la journée, il est évident que c'est hyper nocif pour ces (jeunes) travailleurs

This place is way beyond my expectations. There is so much to see and learn. I wish to spend more time inside. Admission is very affordable, esp if you bought the tickets for Discovery Harbour to get 50% off. You can tell a lot of effort and money spent to preserve this site. Highly recommended.

I am in awe visiting this place. Looking back the old civilization. Its like entering into another era of life. The log houses. The things inside it. The animal fur, the equipments and tools. So many things to learn in here. Parking is free. There is entrance fee which is minimal. Staff are nice.

Wonderful museum! My elementary school kids love their visit there. It took us about 2.5 hours to walk thru the outdoor part on a Monday with not that many people. So, make sure to reserve 3 hours for visiting the whole museum.
