We ordered shrimps. I could see they weren’t deveined. Like you could see the black lines running through half of the shrimps. When we came home, my son began vomiting, I had food poisoning myself. After this experience, I don’t think I’ll ever return to this restaurant again.

Food was good, fast and hot.
Very expensive for what you get and it's looking wore out and kinda dirty in tye restaurant. A good scrub could go a long way.

First time going to Sakura, and it was good. Very fast service, fun to order on the iPad, food came quickly, and they were able to accommodate 6 of us within minutes (but that's probably because it was after the lunch rush.

Sushi was okay, not the best we've had, but for all-you-can-eat it was decent.
We enjoyed the goyza, teriyaki chicken, udon noodles, spring rolls, garlic beef, and all the desserts.

It was a nice experience for a good price. We would go again.

Really busy for a Thursday night. Staff were very good with getting food out. Wish the food menu would have ingredients listed. Unless there’s a scroll up option that I missed? Or perhaps I could have checked the menu but my cell reception wasn’t good inside the building. Dealing with food allergies makes it tricky to order.

We came here last weekend. PROS: Servers were so nice and polite. They were very available and responsive. Food came out fast and orders from the kitchen were piping hot. They are doing a great job keeping people socially distanced and were very diligent about cleaning. We liked the iPad ordering system. The place is clean and well maintained.

CONS: Unfortunately the food was really just.edible. Limited vegetarian or alternatives to raw fish for the sushi options. The rolls reminded me of something I could pick up from a grocery store fridge for a fraction of the cost of Sakura. The kitchen items lacked flavor and the meat quality was questionable. Lots of crunchy chicken and beef pieces in items you don't expect to crunch - very tough and hard to swallow.

Overall: It's a shame we don't have any AYCE sushi places in Kingston. There's an really amazing opportunity here for anyone who wants to open an AYCE place, as the bar is set low based on what Kingstonians will tolerate from Sakura. Check out Belleville - they have some really great places there that will blow your mind if you think Sakura is good.

Went on a Wednesday and Sashimi WAS on the menu. (and very fresh). All Covid precautions were in place, and we felt quite comfortable. This is an an ALL YOU CAN EAT and ordering in on an Ipad. Enjoyed the experience! Everything is nice. I highly recommended this place. Must try.

I'd give the place a 5, but the ambiance leaves a bit to be desired. Decor is dated. But that's really all there's to complain about. Food is excellent, fast service, tons of dining space and plenty of parking.

The food is usually really good, but the service is hit or miss at best. The younger servers tend to be pretty nice and friendly, but I've dealt with quite a few on the phone that were pretty snippy and unfriendly. They won't answer the phones after a certain point even though they're open (at least from our experience). I cannot known the reason for sure, but with my past experience sushi restaurants it's usually because they don't want to serve after a certain point. I get it if you don't want to make food past a certain point, but if that's the case the restaurant hours should be adjusted to it's closed for that time with the hour needed to clean after close. We've never phoned for food less than 1.5 hours to close. It's still very much worth trying, just don't expect much from the customers service that way you won't be disappointed.

Excellent and very fresh food with rude service. When you make an order on ipad, make sure you wait till you see "your order is accepted" message (it takes ~15 seconds), otherwise you'll wait for your food forever

I use to love this place, however their quality has gone way down. Last time I went will be my LAST.two bites in my stomach turned due to way too much oil in the shrimp tempura.

Absolutely awesome. Dinner menu 27.99 all you can eat. You choose selection from a tablet. Super quick service. Extremely friendly staff.

It was one of the worst place i went - they said all you can eat but not mention any where they are going to charge for waste, as a first time experience the restaurant I had no clue, and suddenly they mention it when comes to pay - and waitresses & waitres are so rude, and we had ask several times for the thing we are asking for - any how over all not satisfy with their service and giving information about their rules - head up dont expect so much of this place

The food here is pretty good. And I love the all-you-can-eat aspect. The Tablets are fun and the items are somewhat properly spelt.
However. My partner and I had come in to dine on March 3rd, 2021. We were seated promptly and given our tablet. Our portion of free ginger was small so we decided we wanted to ask for extra, when one of the servers came by to drop off our first items my partner spoke up (loudly, he’s very clear and audible) and asked for extra ginger, before he could finish his sentence the lady had grumbled and spoke something foreign under her breath, and left in a hurry, completely ignoring us.
We brushed it off and asked the next server, who was friendly enough to acknowledge the request and bring the ginger promptly.
Later on, the same lady that ignored us had walked past, picking up the plates on our table. My partner this time much louder had asked if we could get our bill since our tablet glitched, the lady COMPLETELY ignored us, and ran off as if she was trying to get as far away from us as possible.
I’m very unhappy with this behaviour. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable at a dining establishment.
I’m not sure if I will return. This lady needs to learn manners or get out of the service industry.

Sakura has stepped their game up in the past years. Customer service has improved and For all you can eat its great value. Will always come back.

Their food is always great, but their cleanliness + health standards have been subpar lately, especially considering we are in a pandemic.went about a month ago and got a dirty glass and silverware.their dish buckets which they bring around on a cart to pick up dirty dishes are FILTHY with food and finger prints all over the outside of them.just not pleasing to see.they also brought us some sort of roll that we did not order, and when we advised them, they took it "back" but really just walked around the wall and came back around and placed it on the table across from us.won't be going back for a while I don't think.

No refilling for about 30mins until we leave, food quality unstable, been a customer for 3 yrs, feel disappointed in past few months and might never be there again, still the best Japanese All You Can Eat restaurant in Kingston area, however there's not much similar restaurants in GKA, lots of better choices with similar price range available in other areas.

Absolutely outstanding. I have not enough words to explain. Place is organized, fast service and menu on tablet really makes it simple. Price and quality of food was above my expectations. Food came in hot, looked and tastes fresh. Dessert choice outstanding for all you can eat sushi place. Highly recommend place, I am from Montreal and they can easily compete with the Montreal competition. Good job! Comment on the booth seating, wood backs make it slightly uncomfortable for older fellow like me. Deep fried banana dessert was amazing!

We have been going here for years! We have always loved the food. Yes the experience is more order, eat, enjoy and leave lol We have been here 20+ times, so we know the drill. You may not get spoken too but at least you are focused on the people you are dining with ‍️
Our recent visit reconfirmed our love for Sakura. Finally new, clean bathrooms! The ordering system is excellent.no more waiting for a server to check on your paper order. Tablet system is excellent and can check up on what you actually ordered with images of all of the food options is key! We actually had a server who smiled when he seated us and spoke to us. They seem to finally put some work into the building which has it looking nice and clean overall. We left there again feeling like it was our first time going there again.
It would be nice to see more customer service interaction, even just a smile.especially from their senior/main servers. Though for us, we are there for the food more than the customer service at this point!
Still a 5 star from us. Good price for fresh ready order all you can eat!

Today I went to Sakura and had the worst experience I've ever had at a sushi restaurant service was so slow that I waited an hour and left because I didn't get all the rolls that I wanted and I didn't have the time to keep waiting other people were coming in half an hour after us and getting served before us just overall bad experience are rules kept falling apart because they weren't Roll tight enough not sure if there's new owners or what or maybe it's because they got iPads and expect to do less work now. I will ndver give them my business again. The prices have gone up but the service has gone down

Delicious sushi! My wife and I went here for lunch the other day and I was pleasantly surprised, the staff were friendly and helpful, the service was great and the food came quick which was nice, all in all it was a great experience here and I'll definitely be coming back for more sushi!

Amazing food selection (for both sushi and non sushi fans) for a reasonable price! I’ve read several reviews noting poor customer service (and I would agree with that in the past) however I find the staff more attentive and friendly!

Food was fresh, well prepared and served promptly. Nice presentation and good quality of dishes served. Nice variety of tempura vegetables done just right.really enjoyable! Red curry chicken was way too spicy for average diners - should have been a spice warning on the menu. Staff were fast and efficient but not friendly, engaging or capable of sentences beyond two words (not sure what was happening for them).

Sushi here is ok for Kingston AYCE. It's not bad but not comparable to Toronto either.

Lunch AYCE is better than the dinner (in our opinion). Grilled salmon belly is cooked well. Price is reasonable.

Staff don't speak English too well but the service still gets done.

The best. As usual! Staff is always friendly and helpful and love to experiment with a few new things each time in addition to the old favorites.
