SAMAKA MEDITERRANEAN SEAFOOD (Mississauga)

Just tried here for the first time this evening, the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be visiting again next time I’m in town.

Had fish/chips and calamari here. Quite good. Great selection of seafood that's prepared fresh

The best place to eat a fresh and delicious fish. The Rocca salad was the best I ever taste even the fries and the seefood soup were so yummy. The service was great where the staff was so friendly

Been wanting to check out Samaka for a while. Finally went today and tried a number of items. The grilled fish was definitely the star of the show. We had the red snapper. The salmon steak was quite decent too.

I visited Samaka with my wife for lunch. I'm judging it solely based on food and nothing else. Service was basically non existent but I don't really care much about that. I don't mind a non-intrusive dining experience.

1) Hummus - Muhammara - Baba Ganoush starter - I'd say this was a 9/10. Great flavor and came with 4 warm pitas.

2) Stuffed Calamari - 0/10. This was probably the major reason for off putting the entire experience. Terrible rubbery calamari stuffed with rice that had more of the awful calamari in it. The rice itself was nice but the pieces of calamari in it made it difficult to enjoy. I would avoid this dish if you can.

3) Samosas - 10/10 for value and flavour. It's like 5 dollars for 6 samosas and they were fantastic.

4) Spicy Fish Fillet sandwich - I would rate this like 3/10. It looked quite nice but as you start eating it you realise how poorly constructed the sandwich was. The breading was just slipping off the tasteless but soft fish and it was a total mess. It was accompanied with excellent fries which I think saves it. I would not order this again.

5) Grilled Sea Bass - 9/10 - The fish was cooked well and served with rice. I think it was great taste wise and had beautiful soft flesh near the bones which was really nice.

Overall not a repeat for me but worth a shot to try the whole fish.

My family and I came to Samaka for my moms birthday and their service was exceptional and something that we will surely remember! The staff were kind and welcoming from the moment we stepped through the door. The food was incredibly tasty. Our favourite was the Sea Bream - Singari Style!

Food wasn’t fresh and not clean restaurant, and super expensive for no reason, and we had 5 bottles water they charged us twice on the water I would say was on Purpose, anyway was very bad experience I had

Food was good and Friendly service.

The fish was fresh and was cooked so well. We got a Raddah and a Singari fish and of course the amazing molokhia with shrimp (Not many places offer that).

It’s a help yourself and make yourself at home vibe which makes the experience more authentic and more interesting indeed.

Samaka is a must try seafood restaurant with a unique taste that reminded me with the authenticity that I’m missing! You must try the grilled shrimps:) so delicious!

Worst dining experience I have ever had. My family and I felt so uncomfortable. Very chaotic place. Food not tasty. Took so long to take our order. We also had to wait for 90 min before food was out.
People left to serve themselves going to get plates and cutlery. The atmosphere was causing irritation and irritability. No signs of any manager to control situation. Very underwhelming experience. I will never go or buy food from there again. The fact that there are good reviews leads me to believe there is unpredictability in service and food. So unless yiu want to pay a huge bill and gamble for it to be one of the 'good days', avoid. Its simply not worth the stress and poor food quality. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Food was ok what did not make sense was 1 fish with fries and a pop for 38$. Paid but was still in a shock.

Im portuguese and its my first time here at samaka, we loved it, it fantastic! The decor is gorgeous, my son is only 1 year old and loved the fish kept asking i want more mommy.
I would recommend everyone looking for seafood to come here.

Seafood Haven. Excellent options on the menu, creative cooking styles and simply delicious Seafood. You can pick the type of fish, and have it grilled, baked or fried to your liking. The ambience and decor is beautiful and service was outstanding. Definitely coming back to try the other options.

This place is a gem. The price given that you're getting fresh catch is phenomenal. A whole fish comes already with specialty Egyptian rice, green salad and tahini. Get it with a side of calamari or shrimp (both are amazing) and you can definitely feed a couple for about $50-60. The ambience is nice, but not 5-stars. However, the service and value more than make up for it. I do recommend avoiding the /unique/ menu items like the shrimp molokya and the bechamel pasta.

The best seafood place in all of Canada and had one of the best dining experience by the staff especially JAMAL. Highly recommend

The BEST and I mean the BEST seafood restaurant you will find in the GTA area to say at least. Unbelievably amazing Middle Eastern Arabic seafood dishes that are so good and tasty. Their portions are very generous and the price is on point. I would give it 10 out of 5 stars if I have to!

Best seafood spot I have ever been to, customer service was on point, staff was really friendly and the food was spot on. Definitely a spot I would recommend for family and friends.

Quite possibly one of my new favourite places to eat in Missisauga.

Theres a lack of decent seafood places, and this fills I the void quite nicely with it's own special Mediterranean twist.

The seafood here is fresh (they have some of it on display in the front.on ice of course) and theres quite the variety. Salmon, Red Snapper, Sea Bream, Shrimps and a lot more. And all of this prepared the way you like (fried, grilled, breaded, stuffed). Was overwhelmed the first time we went (in a good way) and the food we ordered arrived promptly.

The food itself was great. Spices complemented the dishes and they were cooked perfectly. Loved the Seafood soup, and the grilled Red Snapper with the accompanying Tahini sauce was just incredible.

I'll definitely be coming back, and recommending this place to family and friends. Had a chance to meet the owners on our way out, and their genuine kindness and pursuit to ensure our meal was satisfactory left us on a very positive note.

As skeptical as I was eating a fish served with flesh and bones, this one flew off the charts.

The Singari is a Mediterranean style fish, infused with earthy spices and layered with onions and red bell peppers. Omg! Absolutely loved this. No SMELL, and packed a punch in flavours. Highly recommend this one.

Equally loved and enjoyed their Lemon and Herb fish and was probably my second favorite there. Okay, no I lied. I equally loved their L&S Linguine with herbs + Alfredo. Probably the most comforting pasta I've had and that to at a seafood restaurant. Definitely a must try.

It's been a while since I had an amazing sea food, it's a five star restaurant starting with the most delicious soup and ending up with BBQ fish, I can't describe how much I enjoy my meal, please keep the excellent flavour, good luck guys

Finally a true fish market with authentic touch. I tried the shrimp and calamari but BY far one of the best Singari I ever had. Good presentation and excellent prices.

One of the best sea food restaurants in Mississauga. The taste is really good and the food is of good portion. Sea Bass grilled and tiger shrimp lemon&herb are must tries over here.

If you're looking for authentic middle eastern seafood, this place is it! Big seafood lover and was soo impressed! Every kind of fish you can think of, you can choose grilled or fried comes with huge portions of rice and salad and great tasting tahini. We went with a huge crowd, great decor and ambiance. Food was absolutely fresh and delicious 10 / 10 stars will be back regularly, this has now become my favourite seafood restaurant in the gta. Well run, great owners, Alaa one of the owners made our occasion extra special. Fantastic service, couldn't be happier.

L&S linguine at @samakaseafood was possibly one of the most comforting pasta I have ever had. It is rich, salty, cheesy, and incredibly filling. If you are a seafood love you gotta try their S fish baked. Totally worth it!

I had an excellent experience at Samaka. My friends and I were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and were seated subsequently. The food was wonderful, from preparation to presentation. I will definitely be returning in the future.

This place has the best grilled fish& shrimps in canada! Ended up doubling the quantity of my order! Must try. Always ask about hossam for recommendation.

I was forced to come here with my friends I never liked seafood until I came to this place their tilapia was amazing so as their fish tacos staff was very friendly and nice place looks high end from inside renovations is nicely done, I'm recommending this place to all friends and family definitely coming back.

We came last weekend and i was amazed! The decor and the atmosphere is incredible. I could smell the delicious aroma of grilled fish from outside. Service was prompt. Food was amazing! Presentation was appetizing! We ordered singari sea bream, raddah sea bass, alex style shrimp, seafood soup, crispy fish filet, and baba ghanouj. All was great. It was my first time trying the soup and i was absolutely stunned by how good it is. I would recommend the soup and the shrimp to everyone. You have to try them! You will never regret it
