Samir Supermarket

Just checked it out. And I am so impressed! Very clean, organized and spacious. It carries a great variety of things. The staff is met were very friendly too. Will definitely be back!

Edit: Unfortunately, it seems to be going downhill a bit. It is not clean and tidy as it used to be. They carry products inconsistently, so you never know if they will be there when you need it. Service is mediocre. Recently, the cashier was on a personal call while serving myself and other customers which seemed unprofessional.

Very nice market with lots of products being offered. Mainly centered around Middle Eastern items. Their in-house butcher shop provides excellent service with high-quality halal meats. Also, the frozen food section has nicely stocked variety of vegetables and pastries. Last but not least, the refrigerated section includes well stocked cheese options.

Very useful middle east supernarket with a fresh meat and essential food items in reasonable price. Staff of buchery are friendly and understand any demanda that we have for cooking.

The meat section is great and fair prices
But the items/products in the store are not well organized. The vegetable and fruits prices are a little higher than other stores but we try to support them when possible

Was looking for goat meat for a while and they have it there on a regular basis. Priced nicely and as a bonus it's halal.

This place was found on Christmas day when no other restaurant was open. Call it fate but I surely found a go to place. Reasonable priced and most of all? Delicious! Fresh and memorable.

Have good items. The only thing I don't like is not all the prices are on the items. Some things are not organized.

I have purchased a tea set from this store. When I wanted to use them I noticed one of them is cracked. Called the store asking for exchange and suprisingly they said how do we know where it is broken? I contacted the management and he didnt care! Can you believe that!? Their customer service is ZERO. I cannot believe the store in Canada treats to its customer like this!

For halal grocery this place is good.its a bit expensive but you are paying for the halal nearest grocery store in burlington.i love this place as they have almost everything which is good.still number 1 grocery store in Burlington

Prepared meat packaging needs to be improved for internal organs of animals, find a mess a few times after opening them in my kitchen and wife was not happy with lack of butcher skills. Bad parts contaminated good parts of chicken liver one time and different problems next time etc. This review is for Burlington location, i am not happy with sweets department also, they sale old and drained, stale and looked pale products every once in a while. Owner, please improve things by stopping by and inspect your store more often. Thanks

Very clean, fresh products, friendly staff.great place for all middle eastern grocery needs.

I love their marinated chicken and wings. Before any picnics you can go to this place and find whatever you need.

Halal Meat, specialty Fresh fruits and Vegetables Middle Eastern variety of all kinds ; Turkish Coffee and Turkish Delight, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, nuts variety, Juice; Pomegranate, sour cherry, etc… Just visit the store find out more.

This is the third time I bring something from here and it’s expired. Cream inside was hard like a rock please check the expire date before putting them on the shelves.

Small store, decent amount of parking. Some things are fairly priced, others not so much. I came here to buy the sweets, the ordering process is already difficult and on top of that the lady spoke very little english. However, the sweets tasted fresh and they had a large variety as well, but definitely not worth the price we paid. Probably wouldn’t come back here.

Samir Supermarket is well located and close to home. They offer fresh fruit and veg as well as dry goods, rice, tea, south Asian snacks, great butcher and cuts of meat. The butcher helped me select the perfect lamb and cut it to size for a recipe I was trying fit a Persian lamb stew of tomatoes and cinnamon. The tamarind sauce and condiments and chutneys here are great. You can find many spices, tea, Turkish delights, nuts, all kinds of foods. Many foods snacks and spices featured are common to Arab, Pakistani, Indian and Afghani cuisines. Trying new foods or flavours is a delight and Samir’s Market is a great place to explore and handy local grocery market for those who live in Burlington.

Nice store - clean and tidy. Fairly overpriced for their packaged goods. I will continue to go to the Samir’s on upper James street as the prices are better!

Just did my first shopping there, the place looks clean not like Hamilton site! I bought various food from it, they have on shelf’s putrefied olive that I didn’t know are bad till I open the package at home. I am not sure if I will trust this shop again. I have some suspicion about all of the goods now especially they are selling meat.public should be careful

Great place for South Asian and middle eastern cuisine but caters more to the former. Good substitute for Adonis here in burlington

Always a nice place to go to for groceries, not crazy expensive, produce is also very good. Haven’t tried their meats.
Wish they would have a kebab outlet like the Stoney creek location.

This is my new daily market, their butcher counter can't be beat and my friends who can eat gluten love their daily fresh breads.

Store is very clean and tiday, have lots of variety.
Butcher customer service was good
The item on flyer that attracted me to visit was sold out.
One item has a shelf price of $1.99, the register brought it as $2.49
Casher customer service skills is not very good.
Some fruits is not fresh like peach
Prices is above average on most items.
