Samko and Miko Toy Warehouse

Visited here while I was in Markham. The store is an unassuming building and easy to miss if you are not watching out. The store felt strangely eerie as it wasn’t crowded and given the large warehouse, it was just me and one another salesman. They do have quite a collection and I had fun walking around. Some of them sound like deals but I would not accept it as dead cheap given their warehouse status. Prices seems to be discounted only be a couple of dollars. All the toys are brand new with original packing. I would recommend visiting here if you are searching for a gift for your toddler or friends birthday party.

These guys do good work for children in the community. It is far too rare in this day and age for there to be popular and desirable toys at such heavy discounts. Samko and Miko ensures that even parents on budgets can keep their kids happy on their birthdays and for Christmas.

Worst staff and no respect to customers. I asked for refund after looking at the bill immediately as things we haven't picked are also added and billed. The staff was reluctant to refund for those items and I had to leave disappointed with their irritating behaviour.

Cool place to get toys and books for much less than retail price! Not very busy during the days, either.

Hello who were bad experience with never reply emails, never reply on phone, it happened to me, the owner always said sorry to all people but never improved, I order the item than got email asked to pick up tomorrow be ready I came to store to pick up the item but no one pick up the phone, store closes. I emailed many times but never reply emails.

Updated: Someone contacted me right away after seeing this review and mentioned my order should have been ready on Sunday, but wasn't sure what the mix up was in the system and offered to ship my items expedited or cancel my order. I need the items right away, so I asked to cancel and will definitely be visiting the retail store to shop for what I need. Great customer service from Walker to rectify the issue. Thank you.

1 star review: Beware of the "same day pick up" ad they have on their page. It says "order before 11am for same day curbside pickup" I placed an order Sunday morning at 8am thinking I can pickup the same day, it's Tuesday and I still haven't received an order ready for pick up email. It even says "order will be ready 2-3 days" after you place your order. Once you check out, there is no mention of the same day pickup. I've called twice and both days they said it'll be ready "tomorrow". No point in ordering online, might as well go into the store and pick your items yourself. False advertising which is very disappointing. I want my order cancelled.

Edited- despite being over a month since I placed the order, having the person on the phone promise a refund, following up via email and a response here saying I would be refunded the difference, it never happened. Would never shop here again and discourage others from doing so either

I ordered some loot bag kits for my sons third birthday to hand out at his preschool and the price was $10 a unit. I ordered 3 units and paid for Express shipping. Half an hour later I went back to the website to check about a toy my mom wanted and noticed the price had dropped for the same loot bag kit from $10 a unit to $6.50 which for me would have been roughly a $10 overall cost difference. When the warehouse opened at 10, I called and spoke to a man over the phone. After trying to give me a coupon instead of refunding the difference, he reluctantly agreed to put it through to accounting to have them refund the difference. No email communication to confirm this after our call and no reply to my email when I replied to a shipping email to verify the charge would be partially refunded. It has been about a week and while we did recieve the product, I have not been refunded the difference as I was told I would be over the phone. I will not order online again, perhaps if there is a Christmas pop up I may but this overall left a bad impression with me

Edited: it has been over a week since I posted this review and even at the response of the owner saying I would recieve a refund, I STILL have not been refunded the difference I was promised and dont believe I ever will be. Considering reporting to the BBB

I LOVE their selection of toys, books and baby stuff etc. We have bought items from diaper bags to toys to high chair and now books for reading and learning material. The prices are amazing and the quality superb. Loved the swing chair and high chair for when my son was small and love the games he enjoys playing now at four years old. Keep up the fantastic job!

Update: I reached out to Customer service 4 times and no one has responded to me, yet they replied to this review within 10 minutes by lying and saying the product was new. Products aren't new. They seem used and was dirty out of the smashed box. I have photos to prove it. This item was just purchased 2 days ago

Incorrect hours posted online and in pickup email. Arrived before 3: 00, called 5 times with a recording stating they were closed.
Good options of items, but with open hours only on weekdays between 10 and whenever they decide to close, it makes pickup of purchases very difficult.

I’ve been contacting the store from since this past Saturday about my items, and me not being able to get back on my account to track my items. The girl who answers the phone is SUPER disgustingly rude and unprofessional. I just called back now and she hung up in my ear. When I tried to call back, she ignored the phone call. I been sending emails, and NO ONE has been professional and got back to me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO NO ONE.

I have been shopping at Samko warehouse for years when my kids were growing up. I am happy to see the warehouse open. I have always found them to have a great selection and prices, and this year is no different. I am happy to be back shopping for my three grandchildren! I appreciate the attentive customer care they provided me as well. Thank you.

Before pay, it stated "next day pickup". After pay, I received an automatic message telling me something like "increase demand.process delayed". Why didn't it show the message before payment? On top of it the pickup hour is from 10am-3pm, Mon-Fri. Such restricted pickup hours should had been stated before payment.
After 3 days waiting, the thing is ready for pickup. When I arrived at 2: 50 and called, nobody pickup the phone. I had to arrange another day to go and pickup. Very bad experience.

Good buys good prices, how do you exchange a broken item that was delivered? The email address is not working?

Found out about this place from some other mommies. I checked out the online store only. The prices are really good and they have great clearance items too.

I placed an order online but made a mistake in the address. Customer service was amazing and worked it out for me. Everything was better than I could have hoped for in the end.

The parcel contents kept my kids busy for well over an hour, sanity in a box.

I’ll shop from them again when I can and am looking forward to visiting the store in the future.

Love this place for children under 12! Anything and everything for toys you would need. My suggestion go here first then see what you have left to buy. This place is amazing!

This place has great price and selection. The books are high quality and very low price. All the products are lower price then outside. I have got most of my toys here and everyone loves them. My two sons also love coming here. The staff are friendly and helpful. I love when the warehouse is open to see what new low price toys they have. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Every year around the holidays, my coworkers and I raise money for a local women and children’s shelter in Peel Region. We spend roughly 2-3k here annually on toys and books for the children. It is a wonderful store, with amazing prizes on sought after toys. If you’re looking for toys and activities for your children or a charity, this is the place. This past holiday season, we bought enough toys and other items for 3x 40 children. 5 stars all the way! I will be back for the 2019 season.

The $20 binocular I bought from this shop -which was seal packed -turned out to be piece of garbage after opening at home. It’s unusable & has aberrations that are unadjustable.

This is the place to find everything toy and party related. Had trouble finding a gift and decided to check it out. Sure enough, we found what we were looking for and at a reasonable price. We will certainly be coming here from now on to buy children’s gifts as they have literally everything!

AMAZING! Do all you holiday and birthday shopping for the year and no break the bank! They have a great selection of popular genres of toys and books. You can pick up books for 1.75 and toys for 5.00. Even the pricier toys are quite reasonable here. A MUST VISIT!

My daughter got so excited to see all those toys. It was really cheap. We spent 100 bucks in total. That would be equivalent to 200 to any regular store.

They have lots to offer and for the most part, the prices are great. Some of the prices are equivalent to regular stores though, especially if you wait for a sale. But if you just want to get all the toys bought in one go, it's definitely the place to go.

Always visit for Christmas Shopping. Prices are ok but have seen better at other retail stores. Great selection for books and drawing kits.

Found toys with a very cheap price. We went there after some friends of ours indicated that it was worthy.

Despite her warnings that it would be crowded it was not. They offered a really nice spectrum of toys for kids of all ages.

The parking os easy and the payment queue is quick.

Excellent place for gifts for the kids, nieces, nephews, cousins lots of variety and great prices! Shop mid week not busy at all.

Amazing selection. Great prices. Went twice within two weeks and got the majority of Christmas shopping done for kids in my life that range one and a half through to seventeen.

I've been shopping at Samko & Miko as far back as their Queen & Dufferin Days/Location. Some ppl have complained about toy selection, but they most likely dont understand the nature of the business for a "Toy Warehouse" And although we all would like customer service, it's hard to expect great things from a seasonal business/employer who cant keep the entire staff employed all yr round (& that's why service is only so so to some shoppers)

I personally think they're doing a great job & feel a lot of shoppers are not aware of how certain businesses work & why certain services or stock is not always available.

One thing I love about Samko Miko is that they always have the kids characters to take pictures for free. Then we can shop and take our time and shop with kids it had a lot of space and room to move and the kids loved the variety of books like Caillou Thomas and educational literature for kids.
I go there every year

Not much there. Not happy about this location from when it was at Dufferin so very hard to get to using transit too long of a walk not everyone drives
