Great place for a haircut. Sam is patient and starts off with scissors unlike other barbers who go for the trimmer immediately. He takes time to listen and understand the hairstyle you need. He'll give you honest feedback about your hair and will recommend the best cut.

In terms of price, the charge is slightly more expensive than others in the area but the price is worth the cut. I've availed haircuts at other salons in the area and you receive the cheap service for the cheap price.

Sam's is going to be my go-to barber shop.

So glad the lockdown has ended and I was able to visit Sam and get a great haircut at a fair price

Hands down the best haircuts that I've received since moving to Toronto. I have to drive across town, but it is well worth the trip.
Update: I now live an hour and a half away, and still making the trip, as needed. Sam cuts my Son's hair now too. We greatly admire his fastidiousness.

Great guy. Very reasonable prices. He'll give a great service. Perfect place for regular styling but go elsewhere if you're looking for something very intricate.

An old-school, no-nonsense barbershop. Sam is a traditional barber with decades of experience. Price is more than reasonable for quality of the service provided. Recommended for simple and straightforward haircuts. I was going there for about a year and a half and while I would overall get very good cuts it seemed hard at times to communicate precise proportions to Sam. On occasions, instead of scissors he would use clipper above the comb to cut on the top which would result in a shorter and more sharp lined haircut than I wanted. However, overall experience is very good and you will get a bang for your buck for sure.

Nice, quiet athmosphere, Sam is friendly and professional. Makes sure to know what you want before he cuts, and that you're happy before he's done. Good haircut at a good price ($25 for a cut, plus tax, cash only).
Great for walk-in, even the regulars don't make appointments, and the wait is never too long.

Very professional, fast and super friendly. I don't go anywhere else for my haircuts. Waiting can sometimes take up to an hour but Sam will always tell you up front.

Having arrived into the area for a few days to stay with family, I decided to look for a local barber for a quick mid trip haircut. I have to say after seeing these reviews and making my choice, I was not disappointed. Sam is everything that's missing in lots of places. Good old fashioned service and master barbering talent, whilst enjoying some relaxing chat. I had a beard trim after my haircut also, which was also expertly done. It wasn't an average barbershop visit, it was a traditional barbershop experience. I'm just disappointed I live in Scotland as Sam's would definitely be my (master) barber of choice.
