I have been buying fresh fish and shrimp at San Antonio for a few years. The seafood has always been fresh, no smells off the fish. They are happy to clean and prepare your fish to your specifications. Dealing with John has been amazing, always a pleasant personality and treating me as a valued customer.

I admit the smell leaves little to desire but it soon dissipates, at least it did for me and the food was really quite good, serving a wide variety of seafood, cooked quite nicely. The drinks were lovely too. The pasta, perfectly al dente. A definite must try if you love fish.

A brilliant concept.upscale casual restaurant adjacent to a fish market. One of the better meals my family and I have thoroughly enjoyed outside of Italy. Fresh fish, simple, tasty dishes. Attentive, unobtrusive and friendly service. Will not hesitate to return. Keep up the GREAT work!

Takeout: 30 dollars for a dozen of the tiniest, most paper-thin oysters in the world. Tasted good but not worth it.

I met Paolo and his mother they are amazing people i highly recommend you to go here and meet both super delicious food and these nice people.

… very disappointed with the server. And OYSTERS.we were fine until everyone else got complimentary bread served…. We thought this place just don’t give breads. We were the only table with no bread and felt a bit offended.we weren’t offered with peppers or cheese for our pastas either…. Should i mention we were the only asian table there? … Never been to any Italian restaurant where they don’t offer for peppers or parmesan cheese.

And oysters weren’t fresh. I never smelled such bad ordor before. It was so disgusting. My expectation was very high since they are a fish market. But the oysters weren’t even shucked right. I had to use fork to loosen from the shell? ! Their oysters weren’t cheap either. And we asked for a medium size and what we got were mostly SMALL ones.

Pastas were good, grilled octopus and mussels too. But many of the clams and mussels were empty…………

The oysters and the server really really really really really! Disappointed me that i still feel very sad…. Actually still feeling sad and disappointed.definitely not returning: (

Oh, on the other hand, their wine rack looked fascinating.

We just attending this restaurant for a work lunch and had a great time. The food tasted fresh and amazing, the service was fantastic. It was pretty empty when we arrived but by the time we left (12: 45pm) the place was super busy! Goes to show the food is amazing! We had the calamari and fries to start. I had the shrimp taco (wrap), it was amazing I would definitely recommend.

Purchased a Groupon for “San Antonio Seafood Market and Bar”. The advertisement listed blackout days and stated that only one Groupon could be used per table. The advertisement also includes a copy of the menu that is applicable for both takeout and dine-in. So, we purchased the Groupon and went for dinner. However, the staff including the Manager and owner refused to accept the Groupon stating that it could only be used to purchase goods in the store. When I asked why the ad clearly indicates that only one Groupon can be used per table and even includes the dine-in menu, we were told that it doesn’t matter because the actual voucher says otherwise. However, everyone who has ever purchased from Groupon knows that Groupon encourages you not to view vouchers until they’re ready for use. So, of course everyone relies on the advertisement and assumes that they are buying what is being sold. When I pointed this out the manager and owner, they became angry and almost hostile and threatening. In fact the owner stated “now I’m getting angry. You need to pay and get out”, simply adding insult to injury for their dishonest advertising practices. All that I can say is “do yourself a favour and stay away from this establishment”.

Went here for lunch with my sister and can I say it was a beautiful experience. Lovely staff, amazing food and the sangria was absolute perfection. Can't wait to go back.

What can I say.absolutely amazing food, atmosphere. The staff are amazing. What a great concept! 100% would recommend!

Food was good and waiters were very nice, but the lady who I booked our table for 6pm to 8pm and told her we will be late and only one hour out of two hours reservation time will be enough for us to order and eat didn’t let us to sit inside and we had to sit in the cold patio with my 5 year old son. We finished our dinner even before 8pm which was end of our reservation time. I believe she wanted to give our table to others and insisted on sending us in the patio. It seems in the busy hours only business is important not people and kids.

Great seafood dishes. Good portion sizes. Great service. Paulo, the owner, is very friendly and hilarious. Prices are a bit high but worth it every once in a while.
I've never bought anything from the market but have scanned the shelves and there is quite a variety of goods. Stop by San Antonio's when in the area. It's worth it.

One of the best places we’ve ever been. Family owned and run, we met the whole family! Portions are big, worth the money, food is excellent. The owner is a sweetheart always happy to see you and so generous always offering us complimentary things. They import lots of things from Italy. Take your friends and family you won’t be disappointed.

The freshest and tastiest sea food - cooked in authentic Italian style -you can ever find in Toronto. Lightly seasoned with full flavors, cooked to the perfect. Juicy, crunchy, and flavorful in one plate. Personally, I liked the grilled fish and octopus the best.

Booked for a group of 10 people. Rude and abnoxious waiter. Overpriced for below average quality. Beware of hidden charges such as tap water at premium price. Otters are miniscule over priced. Waiter brought us couple of days old bread.not worth the trip

The service was good! We just went for fish and chips. The fish was delicious very fresh with a thin crispy batter and the fries crispy and well seasoning.

Mike was our sever he was amazing! He Made sure to Check up on us also had us laughing he was awesome! Overall I would come back! The food was amazing I love the environment! You feel like family as soon as you walk through the doors! The best fresh fish place ever! Can’t wait to come back!

Had dinner here for the first time and the food and service were both outstanding. The calamari was tender and cooked perfectly as was the octopus linguini and mixed seafood platter. Our server Michael was so friendly and attentive that it really added to the enjoyment of our meal. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes from an extensive menu.

Went there to buy seafood during covid last year and the service was so fantastic I had to go back and try their restaurant. I was sold as first bite. The family owned business prides themselves in exceptional customer service, the food is amazing and always comes out HOT! They do not leave your food sitting so that is comes out luke warm. This place is a favourite of mine and I’d much rather spend my money with them than a franchise. Fresh food, real people!

Me and my wife really enjoyed eating the fresh grilled fish. A bit pricey but worth it. It was a nice light meal for dinner. Our kid had penne and it was cooked just right, not to soft and not to hard. We would like to try the fried fish next time if we come back and make it for lunch another time. Service was great and the tent setup outside was really nice and convenient with the rain. We are definitely going back.

The food is to die for and the staff makes the experience over the top. Sylvania makes you feel at home and Paul keeps you laughing. Always a treat

My wife and I had a wonderful time having dinner there for our wedding anniversary. The food was absolutely terrific. Very fresh and delicious seafood, and we loved the generous portions of the servings as well as the drinks.
My seafood linguine was amazing, chock full of clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari, and octopus - they definitely don't skimp out on the seafood! My wife had the filet mignon with lobster tail on a bed of risotto and everything was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Food was definitely well worth the price!

Service was also great, as we were well looked after by our server. We were also seated very quickly (we had a reservation) despite the busy Friday evening crowd.

The ambiance was great, even though we ate outside in a tent due to covid protocols.

Overall an excellent place to eat, especially if you're craving excellent seafood!

Amazing service and some of the best Italian food I've had. The caesar dressing is nice and light, the oysters are fresh, and their red sauce is very well balanced and perfectly compliments their pasta and seafood. Would highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I went out tonight for the first time since the lockdown ended a week ago. We selected San Antonio as we discovered their amazing market a few weeks ago and had a great time meeting Paul and John. They told us about the restaurant and how much they were looking forward to opening again. To say we were blown away is an understatement. We started with oysters and mussels that were fantastic and perfectly prepared. Our mains were incredible and the experience was better than we could have imagined for date night. John’s wife Elizabeth took some time to chat with us and talked about the family atmosphere there and really added to the experience. We have discovered a new favourite spot and will be bringing friends next time!

It's hard to find a good salmon. I'm mean a really good one. The oysters were fantastic as well. Polite and professional yet friendly service. 5 stars all the way!

I’d like to thank you and your staff for the delicious Christmas catering services. Ordered the zuppa di pesce and veggie lasagna for me and my family. All I can say is that it was amazing especially the zuppa. So worth it and generous amount. Definitely for 4-6 ppl as we were only 4 and we had lots of left overs. Ordering and pick up was as smooth as you can ask for. Highly recommend if your looking to relax and order out

Absolutely Fantastic! We placed an order for Christmas Eve pick up. The seafood was so tasty, fresh and serving was very generous (loved that). We had plenty of left overs. We ordered the mussels, zuppa di pesce, calamari and shrimp, cold seafood salad. Everything was in foil trays and well packed into boxes. The heating instructions was a great touch. We live in Georgetown and it is well worth the drive. San Antonio you never disappoint. Keep up the great work and cannot wait for my next order! Also looking forward to being able to dine-in soon. Nice little market with the sea food restaurant. The fish and shrimps are fresh and tasty. Fish was slightly overfryed in Fish and chips leaving a burnt aftertaste. Slightly overpriced but worth a visit.

Super fresh seafood cooked to perfection. Staff is wonderful. We thought the restaurant was open until 7 and arrived around 6, but the restaurant closed at 6. They still sat us and cooked us dinner! We never felt rushed-true hospitality.

Super fresh seafood is prepared perfectly and without any pretentious over complication. Calamari and Shrimp appetizer were so good, had it as my meal on a subsequent visit.
New reno gives some added space. It's like the seafood equivalent of Speducci Mercato; have an excellent meal and take home some incomparable groceries. My mom has bought seafood from the family for 25 years.

We were so hungry I didn't have a chance to snap a photo before digging into the delicious seafood! We had the Captains Fry and the Grilled Sardines, both perfectly cooked. My Mom also got some marinated seafood items to go. One thing is for sure, make a reservation to ensure you avoid waiting and while the staff are very friendly and the food delicious, be prepared to wait a while to get your meal. In my opinion, it's worth the wait. We're already planning to go back again with more family members.

Our first visit and won’t be our last. This is a must go to restaurant and Seafood market! We just came back from up north after a 10 hour drive to get home and decided to pick up some olive oil and tapenade. We had originally purchased at a vineyard in niagara region at a party at an Italian vineyard and friends of ours told us about them. In all seriousness, this is truly the best seafood restaurant and the quality of their products are above and beyond our expectations. I’m in love with their olive oil! They also have a great wine list as well which pairs up nicely depending on the food selection. It was a gastronomic delight and we plan to drive from Niagara Region to Woodbridge just to spend an evening at this quaint and delectable restaurant. For anyone coming from cottage country or going up to cottage country, be sure to bring a cooler of ice because once you see their selection, you and your friends will be impressed. This is just off the 400 on Weston road and super easy to get to and/or pick up the most variety of yummy fish, oysters and so much more! Sorry this post cannot possibly do this place justice and I will make sure to take photos and we recommend the raw oysters, lightly dusted fried calamari and shrimp and it is so tender not heavily battered. I consider this gourmet style. I also recommend the dinner for two mixed fish dish with the chef or Italian salad as this will showcase their olive oil and balsamic dressing YUMMY! We topped off the evening with double espresso and tiaramisu holy yum. I also paired it with two glasses of Chardonnay. Great fish market with personable and knowledgeable staff. The selection of fresh and frozen fish is wonderful and you can taste the freshness of the fish at the in-store Oyster Bar. Fish and chips were excellent can't wait to try the other menu options. Returned a second time to try out the market menu and the fish is fantastic, I had the grilled sardines and they were fresh and meaty. So good highly recommend this unique and friendly restaurant.

This is my go to for seafood restaurants. It never disappoints. The staff are amazing, the fish and pasta is always so fresh. Me and my husband came by yesterday for lunch and I enjoyed every second of it. They treat you like family. The family that owns it are so amazing with all their guests, this is how every restaurant should be! We also got our Good Friday fish catered from here, everyone loved it! Everything was so fresh, they waited until we arrived to fry the calamari and shrimp so that they didnt get soggy. 10 stars for me. Cant wait for my next visit. You guys are the best! So happy you guys opened up the restaurant:)

You Gotta Come Here! When it comes to freshness and selection, San Antonio Seafood Market & Oyster Bar Ltd.is second only to seas & oceans themselves. If you’re a seafood lover, this is the place for you! Huge selection of fresh and frozen fish that can accommodate every type of chef. But what really did it for my family and me was the customer service. You know the saying “we treat you like family? ” This place really does treat you like family! All the way from John (owner) to the wait staff, they all did EVERYTHING possible to make our dinner as enjoyable as possible. Even though we came in on a Friday evening with no reservation, they graciously set up a table for us next to the anchovy fridge. This kind of hospitality is hard to come by these days.

OUTSTANDING! Best Salmon I've ever had in my life. Hospitality was fantastic, owner is a nice guy who clearly cares greatly for what he does. Servers were on the ball and courteous. The espresso to finish the meal was also incredible. Would rate this place higher if it were possible.
