Had a wonderful experience at Sanctuary this week:) I had the Virtual Cure facial, and it was exactly what I needed! Krista is amazing at what she does! My skin is absolutely glowing! Booked for another one in a few weeks and cannot wait! Thanks so much x

Very disappointed this is our second time booking through a receptionist that has told us the therapist we booked will do our couples massage yet we show up to find out that therapist is not comfortable doing a couples massage. Very disappointed in a company that does not understand their employees, and what they’re comfortable with unfortunately due to this yet again, we will not be returning and will look for a spa that actually does couples massages.

Was a first time experience at this spa and I have to say, I was not disappointed! The staff were great and very informative. Looking forward to going again.

Sanctuary staff never disappoint me! Warm, friendly and welcoming they take such care of their clients. This visit I had the best 60 minute RMT massage I have ever had and followed with a luxe pedicure and a great conversation with my pedicurist Tatiana. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Treated myself to a "ME" day at the Sanctuary Spa today and it did not disappoint. My massage with Heather was beyond heavenly and if you're looking for a flawless facial with immediate glowing results, you need to see Lisa. All of the above including the wonderful ambiance of the Victorian home equalled the perfect "ME" day.

Calm and welcoming spa. Reception staff was friendly and helpful, she set the tone for the experience. RMT was excellent, great massage and I will be back!

My treatment the day I visited the spa was a Luxe pedicure, and it felt so lovely, my attendant was very pleasant, the whole experience was a 5 star. I'd recommend Sanctuary Day Spa to anyone, man or woman, looking for a pleasant and relaxing experience.

The lixe pedicure was fine but it wasn't worth $75. The only addition was a bag of Shea butter and warm slippers. They say part of the experience is a massage but I didn't get a massage other than the exfoliation scrub. Disappointed.

I went to this spa for the first time with my sister in laws for pedicures and it was amazing! It is beautiful and relaxing and the staff is so caring and friendly. Eva was wonderful and did a fantastic job! Thank you! Keep up the good work! Everyone there made our day extra special!

I had Sarina (i hope the spelling is correct). She was incredibly kind and made me feel comfortable during my Revive package (I was very lucky to have her for all treatments). As someone with anxiety around my body image, it’s been rare i’ve felt so safe. She always insured I was enjoyed the process and was meticulous about making sure everything was done properly. I will definitely be booking with her again and have already took several friends about her.

Shirin did such an amazing job waxing eyebrows for my mother and I. She made sure we were the most comfortable and happy with our results. Shirin is so cute and comforting- and made us laugh too. Amazing second experience ️ Thank you Shirin and SS.

Such a relaxing massage from Katerina! I haven’t been for a facial in years so I booked the Essential facial. It was everything I hoped for. Felt so relaxed and refreshed afterwards.

My daughter was burned on her eyelid from hot wax and poor technique. I am pleased for the follow up and the offerings to provide a complimentary service for the future. We have had other services provided by the Spa in the past and always been very satisfied.

Had one their signature treatments and a chemical Peel. Amazing experience. Great place. Great staff. Will be going back for sure.

My husband and I have continually booked RMT services at Sanctuary Spa for the last 2 years - it's our go to Spa in York Region! I will definitely be returning to Sanctuary Spa in Newmarket & would highly recommend.

Upon arrival, you are greeted at the door and welcomed into the sitting area until your scheduled service. There are 2 flavoured water choices, a fruit bowl and a plate of cookies for guests to enjoy while quiet relaxation music plays in the background. Each RMT that my husband and I have met has been extremely friendly, welcoming and has regularly checked-in to make sure we are enjoying our service. We always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!

Improper masking at reception desk really put me off. Safety is advertised as a priority, but when the receptionist does not wear a mask to cover their nose, it calls into question all other safety protocols. The location is great. My spa service was great. But I couldn’t stop thinking about the poor masking.

Irina was absolutely incredible. It was my first time getting a Brazilian and she made me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed about the whole process. It was quick, and only as painful as you’d expect, but that obviously depends on the individual. I can’t wait to return to Sanctuary to see some of the other services these wonderful women provide! Cannot say enough good things about my experience, I was very pleased with the process, the hygiene protocols, and the results!

My 16 yr old daughter went for a massage and verbally indicated that she wanted her hamstring worked on and also indicated on her intake form that the reason for the massage was for a sore hamstring During the massage she was asked if there were any other areas that she wanted worked on and then the RMT spent the time working mostly on her shoulders and did not work on the hamstring. Disappointing as my daughter felt that her communication was clear.

The back yard is very nice to sit in and the building interior and exterior is beautiful.

Visiting Sanctuary Day Spa in Newmarket is always a welcome break from the daily routine for a bit of pampering. The staff are friendly and helpful, the beauticians are professional and competent. I highly recommend a visit next time you want to beautify or treat yourself. They have a long list of available treatment options. The old Villa makes a nice setting for a Spa experience with an elegant and zen-like ambiance.

This is my go-to spa in Newmarket. They always have impeccable service and I like their location which is right on Main Street.

My first time getting laser hair removal and all the stuff was beyond amazing with helping me feel comfortable and not nervous. Also helped me find xma gifts. Would 10/10 recommend!

I love this spa and have been a customer for over 10 years. Everyone is friendly and professional. The precautions they have taken for Covid are reassuring as well. I highly recommend Tatianna, Eva and Krista.

I have been to this spa multiple times and have always had a wonderful experience. This rating is not about the establishment, this is about the massage therapist Michel.

Be careful, he is creepy and during my visit in August, he touched me inappropriately during my session!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Their spa is so cozy and beautifully designed with an outdoor garden. I had an amazing facial and am very interested in receiving other Sanctuary Day Spa services. My face felt so clean, hydrated and glowing from their treatment. Michel is fantastic! I enjoyed his RMT massage and returned to him for treatment. His experience in the field is a great asset.the reason I continued to return! He is 100% worth it.

I had massages with other RMTs at the spa and did not have the same experience. Although nice, they were just a relaxation massage even though I asked for treatment. Specified treatment on one shoulder was given treatment on the opposite shoulder.

Unfortunately, 3 of my massage treatments were cancelled within one month, some with an hour notice. Nothing was done to make up for this happening three times as they were fully booked day of. With my favourite RMT I have decided to change spas.

I can't say enough good things about Sanctuary Day Spa, especially RMT Michel. He has an incredible therapeutic massage technique, he is kind and professional. My husband and I will definitely be seeing him on a regular basis. If you are looking for a proper RMT massage, look no further!

This was our first time at Sanctuary Day Spa and both my partner and I had a great time. We both had booked a a massage as well as a mani pedi, and everything was above standard.

Both RMTs were professional and did their job well, and our estheticians were super friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing experience - we'll be back!

I generally like the entire experience at Sanctuary Day Spa. I feel comfortable with the majority of spa employees, and I get a feeling of comfort and familiarity with the front desk employees each and every time.

In this crazy times I feel very safe going to the Sanctuary for my treatments. It’s super clean and they are taking measures to ensure everyone’s safety. The esthetician’s as usual are top notch and Tatiana recommended a product for my hormonal acne that is doing wonders. Can’t go wrong at this spa

My girlfriend and I booked the Reconnect (for 2). Karen was very nice and booked us on a short notice and gave plenty of options to accommodate our schedule.

I had a massage with Krista and my girlfriend had Rennata. It was simply amazing, I was ready to pay again! I was so relaxed and felt great after. My gf had the same experience.

Nice atmosphere and great services. Went with my sister and had RMT massages. We were really happy with our therapists. They have a cute lounge you can chill before or after service with yummy tea and cookies.

Staff was wonderful but the service I recieved, mani/pedi was not worth the price. Not sure if its because I am a man but cuticles not well taken care of. It's a pricey place and wonderful environment.

Beautiful home and decor. The pedicure was lovely, though be warned that it is a small space and when the girls clean the other stations the cleaner smell is extremely potent! I had terrible nausea from this as a leftover from when I was pregnant. Otherwise, I would recommend this place. The front staff was exceptionally friendly (though I wish my aesthetitician was a bit more conversational!) Overall, nice visit!

The moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a cheery hello and the receptionist, Roshan, was most welcoming and helpful. She showed me to the waiting room and offered me a drink and a snack. Excellent first impressions! Krista met me in the waiting room and took me to my appointment room. She explained everything and was kind and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my spa treatment and felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated. It was my first visit to Sanctuary Day Spas but it will not be my last. Thank you Krista and Roshan for making my day great!

Great Service throughout, but reservations to checking in, waiting for our masseuses, and the actual massages. Exactly as I expected from reading all the great reviews. Would recommend to anyone.

I sent in a request to book couples room for an important birthday and they gave me a time and I confirmed it, but they emailed me back a day later saying it was 'unavailable'. I didnt realize that they offer appt's to multiple people even though I put in my request first, the other person emailed back accepting it 2 hours before so they screwed me over. As many people have busy but flexible schedules I unfortunately don't have that. And now I have no birthday plans and wasted a day booked off out of very few in a year. I am very upset with this customer service and lack of communication about this 'policy'.

First time for me there. The worse job ever.first they are over priced and I was not happy with pedicure, the only reason in giving them 2 stars just because the lady who done my eye brow there her name is tanya but other then that if I could give them 0 star I would.their service not better then any other spa out there and for me they were the worse experience ever. I get my pedicure and manicure done every month and I have never had such bad job like this.

Wonderful place with exceptional staff. I had a fantastic mani/pedi with Ivannia who's attention to detail makes for a very relaxing experience with lasting results. The décor and ambiance are very welcoming and serene. I recommend treating yourself. Looking forward to going back.

I had a very relaxing time at Sanctuary. I had 3 services booked (Essential Facial, Luxe Pedicure and an Essential Manicure) with a gift card my hubby gave me for Christmas.
I was offered a robe to wear for the day which made the day that much more comfortable. Renata gave me a lovely facial with great head and arm massages. She gave me recommendations for creams and cleansers that would help my skin type. Renata also did my mani and pedi. She offered me tea and cookies which was lovely. I also really enjoyed the chair massager. I got the Shea Butter treatment on my feet which was amazing. My polish for both mani and pedi came out perfect. Renata took the time to make sure my nails were all the same length and shape. Afterward, I was able to relax in the waiting area with the soft music playing while my polish dried. I will be back for more services in the future.

We always get side by side massage. During the last visit, I was asked to fill in the health survet but my wife did not get asked. Besides I was presented the forms in the massage rolm. The time I need to fill in the form ate into my treatment time, which I not happy. Why did my wife not have to fill in the form while I had to? I don't know. Nor do the therapists. Puzzling.

We always get the same side by side massages. However we never get the same RMT thus there is no memory to how much pressure we want for our massages.

The last visit we had two new employees. Not only they went form crazy, they never asked about the pressure. Better training to new employees is needed to ensure consistent service delivery.
