We visited this place and the food was good. My husband had chevapi and I had burek. We also bought some sweets before we left the store. When I checked out my bill I noticed that I was overcharged. My bill shows I had two portions of chevapi also one small yogurt they charged me for big bottle. We are so disappointed. If you go there keep an close eye on what they are charging you for otherwise you will be charged for something that you did not buy.
A taste of Bosnia in every bite! From juicy ćevapi served with bread, onions & ajvar, to delicious sarma, to buttery flaky burek. Finished our meal with a rich Turkish coffee accompanied by their yummy apple and cherry pies.each dish was a culinary journey. The rustic charm of the restaurant adds to the authenticity, you can eat and shop for groceries at the same time. The friendly staff make the place and gives you a “at home” feeling. A special thank you to our new friend Elsa, she is great very friendly and sweet. Highly recommended!
I’m in the GTA for work. Had to stop by this place because I’m originally from the Balkan region. The food was great and authentic tasting. I had a large order of cevapi and some burek. It was fresh and tasty, and the prices were fair. I’m looking forward to going again before my flight back to Winnipeg.
Rude behavior of staff towards customers. The quality of the food changes periodically, and the cevapi were better before. Unfortunately, I don't go there anymore and I don't recommend it to others!
If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The food is amazing and prices are very reasonable. It is very convenient especially if you want to do it as take out. Keep up the good work!
I have been here on occasions for balkan products they offer which is a good selection! Customer service could definitely improve, I was yelled at by one trash mouthed cashier (blonde hair/slim) few months back for attempting to grab an order she placed on the counter where i was next/ waiting to cash out, assuming it was mine. Next thing that caught me by surprise was her loud response—no no don’t touch the bag thats not yours, your cashier went to grab your order—as If i’m keeping track of their process? I replied saying my bad didnt know it was someone else’s as you placed it right in front of me, she responds with—well your cashier went to grab your food why would you think I have your order. Huh? Then as she turns to hand out the order to the original customer she mouths something in her foreign language and laughs away. Couldn’t believe my eyes, what was this? How sick do you have to be to flip out on a customer for attempting to grab a wrong bag. This would’ve been a simple, ‘oh no sorry this isn’t your order, yours is coming up’ versus the deranged behaviour I experienced. Even my cashier felt uncomfortable with that encounter. The lady with short black hair is a gem though, always a pleasant experience with her.
This place is fantastic! If you like Balkan food (and even if you've never tried it), don't miss out on trying their food. There are a few tables so you can eat something there, or pick something up to take home. They were kind enough to heat up some sarma (cabbage rolls) for me and it tasted just like my grandmother's. They also had stuffed peppers, cevapi, burek, and walls filled with Balkan ingredients and treats. A haven for Slavic people!
