Sariwon Korean BBQ Restaurant

Attended a wedding banquet Sunday night. Buffet type of food. Low quality food but I am sure price was not low. Only ONE waitress served the big party (around 80-90 guests). Room was cold. Guests at our table needed hot water to warm up. Extremely difficult to get hold of the one waitress to bring us hot water and to turn up the heat. Finally she brought 2 tiny teapots with lukewarm water. We each poured a few drops of water in our cups, knowing we couldn’t get service easily. We all left feeling very thirsty.

This was not an everyday dinner. It was a wedding banquet! This restaurant really needs to improve their service — to an acceptable level

The soybean paste stew here is very delicious. There was a variety of side dishes and the service was very good. These days, prices have risen so much that it's hard to eat out, but I'm very satisfied with the 10% discount if I pay with cash.

Famous Korean restaurant, i finally went with my Korean friend so I know what to order. This is food for 3 ppl. Very delicious, next time I have to try their bbq for dinner.

If you’re coming here for the kbbq not a bad choice, a bit overpriced but the portions, side dishes and ability to seat many make up for it. However their regular dishes were lacking in depth and heartiness found at more affordable Korean restaurants. If you want a regular Korean meal, maybe consider a cheaper place.

Came here and got gomtang and gamjatang.
It was delicious and I noticed their Ban Chan is also very tasty

Food was really good but I feel that it was pretty expensive for what you get in comparison to other fine korean restaurants in the area. Still the food was good though

Sariwon rules. The staff are incredibly friendly, the BBQ is amazing. The Yukwhae is fantastic, cold and fresh. The homemade Makgeolli is so delicious and pairs super well with the kimchi Jeon.

I think I've come here three times in the past month with family and friends and I'm going to keep coming.

Best of the Korean restaurants in Toronto. Isn't cheap but if u want quality, this is def at the top of my list. The beef ribs! And pork bone soup is out of this world!

I had a terrible experience at Sariwon last night for our Christmas dinner. We paid for the buffet meal, but the restaurant chose the menu and served us food that was not enough for 10 people. It was enough for around 5 people. In addition, the servers were very rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, the cashier forced us to pay them a 10% tip. I would not recommend Sariwon to anyone looking for authentic Korean food.

We ordered catering from Sariwon for our company Christmas dinner. It was delivered on time and the food tasted amazing. Kimchi was especially great!

Food was terrible and the service was so unbelievably disappointing.
10 people portion Meal came up to $700 but the amount of food that came out was equivalent as 6 people portion.
We had reserve a private room to have a Christmas dinner and half the lights were turned off, it felt like we were eating in a closet. Our waitress didn’t even bother bringing out the side dishes so my husband asked her why is the kimchi and other small side dishes are not brought out and her responsed rudely “oh you guys eat kimchi? ”.
What is more surprising and disappointing was we have never been informed prior that we have to pay 10% or more tip.
I have been to many high end restaurants in large groups and even those restaurant usually informs us the extra gratuity charges before hand.
I am a huge believer in tipping to only average/ amazing services, but I would NEVER EVER tip them 10% or recommend anyone to this place because of their low graded service/ quality of food.
Our Christmas was ruined because the people that we have invited wasn’t full and pleased with overall.
I have never left a negative review before but this time it was so HORRIBLE I felt like I needed to inform people out there.
Please do not go there! Especially if you are planning to do a special celebration in large groups. You will be very DISAPPOINTED and They are there to just take your money!
$700 is not a small amount for a Korean restaurant! I highly advise you to go else where which is your moneys worth.

We had our wedding on the second floor. Great venue at a very reasonable price, plenty of room, delicious food and great service. I would highly recommend it!

One of our favorite Korean restaurants. I'm vegan and they can make their bi big bap exactly how I need it. And their side dishes have lots of vegan options.

Pretty surprised about the good reviews. Service is very slow and the food is mediocre compared to other Korean restaurants nearby. We had to work pretty hard to get servers over to us. Washrooms were pretty gross and didn’t even have toilet paper. Won’t be coming back here.

This establishment has adopted the commie way. Scared of doing the ethical and moral thing because they’re “following orders” disgusting. They would kill and serve babies for food if the government told them to.

Public safety is at risk. Everyone in the kitchen were not wearing mask. One of the member who was going in and out of the kitchen while serving customers was also not wearing mask the whole time while we were there. Surprised that nobody said anything.

I went to this restaurant 1 month ago with my girlfriend and her best friend. The waiter, who didn't see the tip I gave enough, treated us very badly. Then the other waiter came and said you should pay more, we served you. I paid an extra $20 tip. They are definitely behaving very badly. I will never go again.

Pricey but good quality korean beef. If you buy enough and if it's not too busy they'll even cook it for you

Price is steep imo and there were definitely a decent amount of drosophila melanogasters in the restaurant, rest is good.

This is where I get my spicy braised fish cooked in an authentic Korean way. No matter what is ordered, each delivers authentic and well-prepared taste of Korean without any failures. With a patio setting, it is somewhat difficult to get staffs’ attention for services, however, they are kind and helpful once paid attention. I’m very glad to have this long run restaurant around!

This place knows how to take care of their clients. Consistently with a super nice demeanor. The food is reasonably priced, regularly yummy and neat.

This restaurant is extremely expensive especially if you plan to grill yourself. Would not comeback for sure.

From the moment you enter this restaurant team give you a comfortable feeling. Very hospitable stuff, it is a friendly place to pass time with buddies or with your date. Great cooking, specialist chief cook and stuff, comfortable pay and nice service. Highly recommended.

Ok place, good food and okay ambient (It was a little dark) the treatment of the waiters and price could be improved.
But if you like Korean BBQ, go ahead, it's a interesting experience!

My go to Korean bbq place. I always order jumuluk and yangnyum kalbi which comes with rice, stew, and an assortment of sides for two people. It's not cheap but that's because you're paying for quality cuts of meat. This is one of my favourite foods.

Exceptional and yummy food, I loved the vibes this place has, and the employees were very nice. Will surely come back again.

Very clean and bright space available to host birthdays and special events. I was invited to make balloon designs for children attending the birthday party. Food was very attractive and had a nice presentation. @misscypriana

This place used to be great, we went there maybe once a week. But lately the service is hella slow and the food quality has gone down a bit and the price has gone up. Likely won't be returning sadly.

The place offers a vast variety of delicious food. I loved eating here. Staff members are always nice, rates are convenient and the spot is always well organised.

My favourite spot for Korean BBQ in Toronto. Not the best for value but the quality of the meat is top notch. Also one of the cleanest KBBq restaurants. However you will still walk out smelling like bbq. It cannot be avoided despite heavy investments in ventilation.

The side dishes are equally impressive. There's always a couple of new side dishes every time we go.

We eat here a handful of times every year. Been a customer for close to 10 years. It's never disappointed us.

Delicious Korean BBQ with generous portion sizes. Prices are fair. You should come on an empty stomach!

A Korean bbq restaurant that also serves shabu shabu and other a la carte items, we ordered the combo with 4 different types of beef, love the marinated beef best. Also had seafood pancake and pork belly (very crispy, bacon without the salt!) They serve with lettuce leaves and we cut the meat into smaller pieces and wrapped them in the lettuce, mix with the sauce and kimchi/rice etc, just like eating Peking duck. So much food as the combo include rice, soup and salad and all you can eat kimchi. Apparently this restaurant is especially famous for its beef and it did not disappoint.

Food and service was good, but a bit pricey. Relaxed atmosphere and good sides. Food was filling. As a younger person (with a smaller budget) I would probably prefer all you can eat Korean BBQ though.
