This place and employees are very helpful. They also have great resources available to use - free of charge!

The library theatre is an essential community venue where art thrives. The rest of the space where books sit? Not so much.

Clean, light & bright. Excellent helpful and knowledgeable staff. A nice place to spend an afternoon reading newspapers and magazines.

The people who work here are great. However, there are some people in and around the library who use the space as a shelter in the winter. There are sometimes people at the computers who have nowhere else to go and and it's cold outside so they sit at the computers to get warm. Many of these people have a higher chance of mental health issues. Hopefully, over time the city can slowly develop a program to redirect people to more appropriate social services as they develop.
Update: they now have a security guard and there appear to be less people sleeping at the computers

Went to the Ted Barris book signing put on by the book keeper. It was beyond interesting and inspiring. Great facility for such a thing. Your attendance in these events will not disappoint. Enjoy

I decided to check out this library as a patron that lives out of town, I asked the ladies at the front desk for a quiet place in the library and was directed upstairs. I soon noticed that a desk lady started coming upstairs and slamming doors in a manner that seems intentional. It was repeatedly done, I mean, you can put in effort to close a door quietly if you know people are around you in a library.

Im glad to say I'll be getting my degree this year and attending law school - not working as a bitter librarian.

Don't check out this library if you want a quiet and respectful place.
