Saving Thyme Catering and Patisserie

Saving Thyme provided the buffet for my mums wake at New walton Club. Vicky the owner was there in person to ensure that it was laid out perfectly and that we were happy. We had the savoury buffet which was perfect for our need and very good quality with some nice touches. The price was very reasonable, I would highly recomend them.

Cute place for brunch. They made it very convenient to order on your phone when you're seated at your table. Coffee was great. Food was alright. It's a tight place so the table next to you can fully hear your conversation. Staff was super friendly.

Their Almond croissant is one of the most amazing croissant in the world. It's really a unique one

This is the best pastries shop in our area. Incredible beautiful delicious baked goods from croissants to macarons this place is awesome. My favourite although hard to call is the lime tart omg amazing.

Food was really quite good. Eggs Benedict was perfect. Hollandaise was proper hollandaise. All the bread was marvellous. The salads were sweet and tender, all very good. Only downside was the coffee, tasted quite bitter, maybe a little over-extracted, like if you left a french press to steep for an hour. I’d expect nice coffee from a place like this but who knows, maybe the owners like they’re coffee on the bitter side

This place just keeps getting better and better. Beautiful small Parisienne inspired restaurant that serves a variety of authentic breakfasts, sandwiches and desserts. Everything from the beverages, to the dessert, to the service is impeccable. I always get desserts to go as well!

A cute French-style bistro located on Appleby in Burlington. A moderate amount of indoor seating is available including tables and booths. The atmosphere is very bright and cheerful. The staff were attentive and friendly as well. The food was delicious - I would highly recommend any of their croissant sandwiches. The croissants are so fresh and handmade in house - flaky and buttery. The ordering system was also unique in that everything is done on your phone (ordering and payment). Will be coming back again to try their pastries and desserts!

I had really great brunch in here, people always kindly, good service and excellent food. I will take my husband to have meal here again.

A delightful experience! This cafe serves the most scrumptious sandwiches and French pastries. Their kouign Aman is to die for. Salmon Benny was good as well. The flavors are amazing, and the presentation is beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive, creating a warm atmosphere. Whether you're a foodie or just looking for a cozy spot, this cafe is a must-visit.

Delicious food and beautiful cozy atmosphere. Loved that you can order off your phone, pay and the servers will bring it to your table. We got the eggs benny and the chicken vol-au-vent, i recommend both! The puff pastry was so buttery and flakey and we got a couple of croissants to go. Would visit again

Ordering using a QR code system takes so much time and work. We spent so much time on our phones trying to go through the menu rather than sitting and chatting with each other, which is one of the main reasons to go out, and having no interaction with staff feels very antisocial. This ruined the experience right at the start and it’s a real put off, which is a shame because the food really is 10/10

Try everything here. The pain au Chocolat and plain croissant are amazing!
You haven't had a croissant until you've had one from here.
The macaron here are better than the ones I've brought back from France.
The prepared meals for takeout are delightful as well. Must tries are the beef brisket bourguignon to the French onion soup and the ratatouille en croute.
I would advise ordering ahead as they can be quite busy but the wait is definitely worth it.
The staff are very knowledgeable about their menu and super friendly as well

Came all the way here on a rainy day. Impressed with the ambience but boy, were we unfairly treated. Ushered into a booth but asked to wait along the hallway so it can be cleaned only to watch a white family led to the table we were waiting for! No explanation until we protested. Apologies were insincere.

Delicious! Decoré was pretty! Price is reasonable! And although busy (which is a good sign) we didn’t wait long. Staff was friendly and the menu and payment is done through the barcode link at the table. So when you’re done you walk out! I went on Saturday for brunch (11: 30 so maybe lunch?) and two friends as reference. I’ll be coming back!

Omg. What heaven! We only did pastries pickup but everything was beyond delicious. Croissants were fresh and crisp on the outside and buttery inside. Definitely will go back for brunch

Order and pay directly via a web page using the qr code on your table, neat. Busy during lunch hours.

The new ordering process using a QR code is terrible! Not very personable and patrons are ignored.

The food is great and the atmosphere is nice. I'm giving 3 stars for the inconvenient system they have for ordering. Since you order and pay online while sitting at the table, servers don't come to your table. If you need anything, you have to walk up to the counter and ask, which was a bit annoying. Also, I ordered the eggs benedict and it showed up with just bun and eggs so don't forget to select your option for options when ordering.

If you want to impress a lady on a third date, you bring her to Saving Thyme for brunch. Rumor around town is the Key Lime pie is 10/10

Had a delightful lunch! Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu. Ordering was easy with scan & order online, I can see this being a challenge with folks with technology issues but they also had paper menu available.

I can't say enough fabulous things about this wonderful place. I've been going for years, sometimes to dine in, sometimes to just grab pastries for the lovely ladies I work with and sometimes for the amazing take out menu. Each and every time the food has been EXCEPTIONAL! We just had their beef wellington take out and key lime pie and a big 10/10. Perfection. They really know what they're doing! I hope only success for this wonderful restaurant.

Delicious. Their roast beef sandwich is possibly the best sandwich I've had in Burlington. It was easy to call ahead for pick up (they require payment on order but no biggie). The sandwich size was very generous.
I picked up a chocolate croissant while I was there for breakfast the next morning and while it was also very tasty, I do think it's a little overpriced.

Excellent food and service. A hidden gem in Burlington. We had salmon and cream cheese sandwich, egg and salmon, and french toast, berries and cream plates. All were wonderful and very delecious. We also tried hot apple cider and flat white which were prepared to perfection. Restaurant decoration is nice and service is polite and helpful.

I went there for dine in once; the food was good and the service was bad. Due to bad service I've been placing orders for take out for the past few weeks. So far, I always call them while I am on my way which was 10 minutes prior to my arrival. When I've called them this morning they insisted on getting my credit card information prior to pick up my order where I had to explain them like the previous weeks where I am already on my way driving there to pick up the order. Although, girl on the phone insisted that she would not process my order without getting my credit card information prior even though I've told her that I've been paying my previous orders for the past few weeks once I am at the restaurant for the pick up. I've asked her to inform my situation to her manager expecting she would be more rational and would have understood my situation. After few minutes later she told me that the manager also requests pre-payment etc. I've cancelled my order and will never dine in or order take out from this place ever again. My suggestion to the owner (s) hire experienced employees and managers where they would know how to handle good customer service and perform minimal common sense on situations like this. Because of this irrational behavior you did not only loose my business; you've also lost my wife's, in-laws, siblings and friends' business which I was the one who told them at first to try out your food, once I'll tell them about this incident I don't think they will stop by there ever again.

Wow, where do I begin? Their kouign amann is out of this world! Buttery, sweet, flaky, and so rich in flavour! Their almond croissants are fantastic and the butter tart eclairs are just *chef's kiss*. Highly, highly recommend going here!

Loved this place! Had brunch here and the eggs Benny with bacon was delicious! They also have a bunch of pastries, croissants, mini cakes and so much more! I will definitely be going back. Our server was really nice too and helped recommend some popular items for us to consider trying.

If you can, try to go to the back room and find a spot there. The booths are so cute with a nice outdoor garden feel with the lattice decor and all.

Fresh ingredients. Eggs Benedict out standing. Fresh chocolate croissants warmed up are heavenly. Great service too.

Lovely place. I’m so happy restaurants like this cute place exist in Burlington.
Even the salad was delicious

One of the cutest bistros I've been to especially outside of Toronto. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. Our food tasted super fresh and there was quite a selection of pastries and baked goods. I really liked the savoury paris-brest.it was like a lighter version of bagel and lox and there was a freshness to it! Would definitely come here again if I were in the area.

A delicious delightful place to have lunch. The smoked salmon was very fresh and the eggs Benny was huge. The tea latte is my favorite. After enjoying my lunch with an old friend we headed to the dessert counter for pastries to take home. I couldn't resist buying 6 for my daughter to take up north, 6 for friends we were going to dinner at and 4 for home for whomever wanted a treat. Decor was very light and pretty from the white wicker chairs to the flowered pillows. A lovely experience.

This place is a must try - great menu and everything is delicious. Baked goods or prepared meals, they're all amazing!

I love Saving Thyme and have really missed dining there, but today I was the lucky recipient of a Saving Thyme boxed tea. It is AMAZING! The quality and quantity of the food enclosed in the box is exceptional. So wonderful that everything is made in house, which is rare for any other tea that I have had in Ontario.

The best desserts, sandwiches and croissants around. Their lemon meringue pie and key lime pie are the best I have ever had.

Super high quality, fresh, and tasty pastries and desserts.

The leek and gruyere croissant is delicious! Same with the almond croissant which is ”oh so yum” with tons of filling.

Their desserts are meticulously made like their layered carrot cake with sugared carrot slivers on top.

My only gripe with the place is that the desserts and macarons are a little too rich and sweet for me. I can only really bear a few bites or need to share with people around me.

I really want to try and bistro and prepared meal options next. The beef wellington on their website looks to die for!

Saving Thyme rivals some of best pastry shops in the GTA - products are exemplary and there is lots of creativity in this kitchen. The only reason for 4 of 5 starts is due to inconsistent customer service depending on who is working the counter - this appears to be somewhat of a theme here - can range from disinterested to highly courteous.

Best bakery in Burlington. Amazing service and their pastries are fresh and absolutely delicious!

So spoiled by living so close to this little French patisserie. My husband and I frequent here once a week for their amazing pastries. The best carrot cake I have ever had and my favourite dessert there of all time are their butter tart eclairs. If I could eat some every day I would! Service is always wonderful as well! Highly recommend!

The best key lime pie hands down. We also tried carrot cake, croissants, eclairs, and Mac and cheese. They were ok

I bought a couple of meals to go, the chicken soup and the half chicken dinner. Fabulous! Will definitely be picking up more.

Easily the best French bakery in Ontario if not Canada! Nothing comes close to their insanely delicious desserts! Lime tart, coconut cream tart, lemon tart, carrot cake stack, petit choux, eclairs, I’ve literally tried their whole menu and I can easily say they make every single item better than any other place! So glad I live 7 mins away from Saving Thyme!

My wife popped in here to get some desserts for a party and she brought back a couple of croissants for us.

I’ve never been to France, but I assume these are what croissants should taste like. They were so buttery and fluffy, crunchy outside, chewy inside (in a good way), didn’t even need to warm it up.

Really want to try the macarons because they look delicious! (Wasn’t able to steal one out of the box this time)

Love this spot. The best thing about their breakfast is the size. I don’t come out feeling like I ate a lot nor is it overly greasy (not a bad thing if it’s greasy for when you’re in the mood.)
We have been there multiple times and tried a number of items; They are all great so far.

This is one of the best patisserie in the area! I love their gourmet dishes and pastries. They are always fresh and so good:)

I enjoyed going here the first time, second time, not as much. The customer service was not as consistent, there was an unacceptable waiting time for the food and people of which arrived after myself were served before me. Not as impressed with this, however the food was decent. Not too many options on the menu, would not recommend it if one enjoys many options.
This place is a small family run establishment, I believe they should be given extra support and look past some flaws, such as the ones I’ve experienced. I hope the next time I go, they may take time to seat us, but to take our orders in accordance and not keep us waiting for our food.
Will be back once this virus situation settles.

I've been a few times and am always impressed by the pastries. The butter tart eclair is amazing. I thought I might find it too sweet but no, it's perfect. The pastries are the reason I return to this place.

Table service for meals is proficient, small menu, done well but it's not my first choice for a meal. Beware the tables on the side with the cash register on cold days. You will get a blast of cold air anytime someone opens the door.

One of Burlington’s best known little secret of a place.

Famous for their fresh French pastries and bread, it’s almost a ‘sin’ not to buy one of their infamous French pastries or bread! When you are in there.

You have to try the croissants.right out of Paris if I may say so.

Food? They have the best breakfast/brunch/lunch menu! This time (Jan 2020) I ordered the Eggs Benedict with Salmon for brunch and was it perfectly done and will be ordering this again next time and will be my go to when I feel like Eggs Benedict.
Great presentation and portion is just right and filling.
Highly recommend this for Eggs Benedict lovers- well maybe the ‘French fries’ did look and taste a little overcooked-but the Eggs Benedict made up for it.
Being dairy free, I ordered the hot chocolate with almond milk and it was just right.they even do fancy designs on top of the drink-I should’ve taken pictures.next time!

Seating and atmosphere?
Warm cozy atmosphere, tables are somewhat a little tight fitting but the cozy atmosphere and smell of fresh pastry and warmth makes up for it.come winter time, Saving Thyme can fill up fast which means you may have to wait in line to be seated. During winter, you will get a cold draft if you sit at any of the tables in the area beside the pastry display, especially when the door opens and closes with people coming in and out. They do have seating on another area behind a wall near where all the cooking is happening and that’s a perfect spot for anytime of the year.unless you want to eyeball the tempting pastries in the pastry display.

It kills me to give this place a glowing review because I know it's just going to lead to longer lines and less goodies because they'll sell out quicker. But what am I gonna do, give my favourite French bistro this side of the Atlantic a bad review just so less people go, I don't think so! My wife and I have relatives in France and Switzerland and we would put this place up against any of their bistros. We also went to Dominique Ansel in NYC this past summer (think Cronut) and are quite confident that Saving Thyme's baked goods would come out on top in a tete-à-tete:)

My favorite place in the GTA for pastries and cakes. Their éclairs are to die for. I wish they had more to-go food items. They have a chickpea salad I sometimes grab for lunch, but a larger selection would be nice.

The service of patisserie and catering my first time just after coming from work very delicious very amazing decor croissant with amount very good and fresh I love it good for morrning not that but everthing for everthing and for everyone but! Its experience you guys and girls are doing amazing job keep going

We got our wedding favors (macarons) done through Saving Thyme in September and they were perfect! Alexandra was great to work with from start to finish - we provided the boxes, ribbon and tags, and the Saving Thyme team packaged them up for us perfectly! Got lots of compliments on them from guests and they were delicious!

Wonderful fresh food, prepared by a great chef and excellent service. House red was delicious. Oh, you have to buy something from the bakery on the way out. The wild rice bread was amazing!
Reservations are essential for lunch but not yet essential for dinners as they have only been open for dinner a short time.

Absolutely lovely! The atmosphere, the service and the food are all 5 star. We had breakfast and will certainly be returning for lunch and dinner soon. Prices are very reasonable and food was outstanding.

We were sitting where we were getting a gust of cold wind whenever the door opened. When we explained the problem our waiter Kyle dismissed us with "there's nothing available" and when my eyes went to an empty table "I don't set that table up for dinner ". Thankfully our waitress was more accommodating and we moved. I liked the lunch menu and presumed wrongly the dinner menu would be an expansion of that. Unfortunately I was not able to access the dinner or wine menu online.
My husband had an $18 appetizer of a piece of very chewy calamari but 3 delicious scallops although he found the sauce too salty. My risotto looked like porridge and tasted only of extreme salt. However our waitress was lovely and when asked took it off our bill as I barely touched it. We shared a delicious dessert of orange trifle. The wine list was disappointing but had I known we could have brought our own with a $15 corkage fee.

I would like to go back for the lunch menu and bakery items. Perhaps that is what they do best.

I am not a fan of sweet cake but I must admit that their cakes are absolutely delicious especially the cheesecake omg. Owner is super friendly and very nice atmosphere. I recommend this place

I celebrated my graduation this evening in this delicious restaurant. Well we passed a astonishing evening and the place was evidently one of the reasons for the outstanding celebration. The team collaborated in a lovely manner, the cuisine was great and my friends were very delighted. We shall surely visit again for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

Very tasty baked goods, but I was just there recently at 11am looking to buy 6 yummy croissants, BUT they had NONE! NOT one! If u are running a bakery/café, then should u not have croissants at 11am? Bad baking planning & bad business! Need to be consistent!

It’s such a quaint cafe. The food was so yummy, the decor is great and the staff were super friendly. The only downside is the tables are quite close to each other so when the place is busy you’re pretty snug up to your neighbor and can hear their conversation very clearly and vice versa

Hands down. Over and over again. I keep coming back for more. Simple. Fair prices. Fresh food and the best breakfast in Burlington easily. I have at least gone there 10 times this year

Restaurant doesn’t adhere to their posted opening times which is frustrating. Twice I’ve gone by early on a Sunday and they aren’t opening until 10am due to catering functions. Frustrating for customers

Feel so blessed to have such an incredible patisserie so close to home! They have absolutely nailed the French croissant - it's absolute perfection. Breakfasts are delicious too!

Great tasting food and such a cute place for lunch. The BLT, the French onion soup, and the pastries are all delicious. Great service by Emma and everything was great! Will always be back.
