I have been going here since I was little and even with my brother and sister and right now like this is the future and when I first heard about the programs at sccc I just started attending three programs at sccc like
Flavors of diversity Drama interact Swim and social at first I didn't like it but right now I really enjoy having fun and hanging out with my friends if you would like to go here you can apply and join with the people that are very nice and they're good people and I would recommend this to anybody who is good and has a disability. I really like the facilitators in this place and I get along with them very well and I have good boundaries with them and they always like me and they always liked having me around. I think Michael Truong is the best and great facilitator I ever had and he is my favourite kind of person who taught me how to cook and clean in the centre and at home. He also gave me good advice and inspiring words I learned from the past. MICHAEL TRUONG OF SCADDING COURT COMMUNITY CENTRE YOU ARE FRIENDLY AND RESPECTFUL AND POSITIVE AND HAPPY AND HEALTHY AND MINDFUL AND HELPFUL AND BUBBLY AND DOWN TO EARTH. I am inspired by you and your good work and great food.

Bro can people stop complaining about the "Gone Fishin'" event
no one actually cares about your PETA guidelines
this event is perfectly fine as the fish are released back in to their environment after this event finishes no fish are harmed in the process as well

Delicious, delicious, delicious, delicious. Yes all the little canister cafes are a must taste. Staff in the community centre are awesome. They have great programs, community garden, swimming pool (outdoors), and so much more.

There seem to be people working there but they seem to only be gardening and providing utilities to the homeless tents

Amenities are great however in definite need of some TLC, the times I’ve been people there are warning you about bed bugs or cockroach sightings.

I regret that I went to the art exhibition and fashion show testing opportunity. They cut my off on stage while performing. I didn't even finish my 10 minutes of performing! They gave me a signal to finish in my 3rd or 4th minute of performing! I performed only for 7 minutes! My friend video recoded me. It showed the time there. They counted setting up the mic holder/stand and the paper stand from my performing time!

That's unprofessional act! They have no experience in organizing or hosting events. If I were them I would set up the mic holder and the paper stand ahead of time while people were talking on the mic about their WE-Hub Women's Entrepreneurship Hub program in Scadding Court Community Centre with Diversity Institute at Ryerson University experience. They knew in the rehearsal that I needed the mic holder and the paper stand for my performance. They were even rude to me after that! It was the worst performance I have ever done in my life!

Actually, I am a poet. I organize and host multicultural multilingual open mic poetry nights in different cafes in Toronto for 5 years. I wanted to startup my art cafe business. They suggested that I do the food cohort and audit the art cohort. They even suggested that I do the testing opportunity in the food cohort not the art cohort.

I did the food cohort. I felt unwelcomed while auditing the art cohort. They were rejecting me all the time when I asked or wanted to do things. I felt their non verbal communication were not happy to connect with me. I was excluded from their main mailing list of the art cohort class. I have to run after them all the time to ask for help in the art cohort. They even excluded me from participating in the evaluation form of the art program.

They didn't explain to me what auditing means before I did the food cohort. If they didn't have funds for me in auditing, it would be better for them to let me know before I had done the food cohort. It was totally unpleasant experience for me auditing the art cohort and I am an artist!

Seems they have good programs although the venue needs some overhaul. This is my 1st time visiting the centre, I'll have better opinion on the long run. They have cooking programs, free Internet access, sports and other programs. Easy to get to, right on Bathurst and Dundas you can get there by taking bus 511 from Bathurst stn 15 minutes drive.

Now that I've completed the Food Fit program, I want to add that their website is not updated. They have many programs that you hear through word of mouth rather than from their web. I must add that Food Fit program is a great idea and beneficial but the delivery lacked enthusiasm and motivation. He was always tired and eager to get over it. I felt that he couldnt wait till we leave.
Last day we were supposed to see their fish tank and he was going to explain that we can even buy fresh fish but he made an excuse and avoided despite me reminding him.
Anyhow it was good overall.

Unexpected library visit, while waiting for a friend. Updated my card, quickly and easily, at the suggestion of staff.
Nice layout, good selection for fiction, and even a couple computers available, not nearly as busy as my home branch

If I understand this correct it is 5$ for an adult annual membership fee. Maybe it's just because I've never lived anywhere near Toronto but to use a pool for a year for 5$ just seems to good to be true!

They assist the community in different ways. The library is attached to it and there is a pool, there's aquatic aquarium. It's a good place to visit during the summer.

Not safe to keep your stuff. 1 week ago I was in the pool. I filled up a report for that but the stuff does not have any idea to handle it. I lost all my stuff in my closet even it was locked. The closet was just installed. The pool staff, asian guy just told me "you shoud have all your valuable stuff to the pool deck. " I lost all my clothing, personal care stuff, underwear, cards and cell phone. I had shocked. I was naked, no money, no contact way for my friends, and no idea to back home. You think all of my things are valuable? Anyway pool staff does not trained about the incidents.

This is an excellent community centre, truly of, and in, the heart of Toronto. Great programs for children and adults alike, wonderful and caring staff and program administrators. Chock full of resources for the community and a particularly important place for children and youth to get fit, be active, learn to work with others and improve their skill sets. Safe, clean, useful and a pillar of the community. Go check it out, use their services, participate in their programs and/or see how you can help (volunteer etc.)! #communitycentre #communitycentres #kensington #kensingtonmarket #scadding #scaddingcourt #scaddingcourtcommunitycentre #afterschool #afterschoolprogram #afterschoolprograms #SCCC

This community center holds citizenship ceremonies. Went there for my wife's. It was great. This community center has a hydroponics pool which grows fishes and plants. Overall it was a good experience at this place.
Would have been 5 stars but the place has odours.

Commercial shipping containers were converted to small ethnic food and drinks vendors for takeout and sit down at adjacent tables outdoors. Passersby can sit and eat as cars drive by. Scadding Court Center also rents out its commercial kitchen by the hour for micro commercial and catering food startups.

Great use of public space! Came here for the Fringe festival a few weeks ago and it was amazing how they transformed the rink to a whole stage, bar and patio area. So cool!

I visit Grace every year for doing my taxes. She helps me through the process in a professional manner. She is patient and funny. I am very grateful for her perfect customer service. As a permanent resident, her advice makes my life better.

Lovely staff! Cute little rink that is generally not busy. Much quieter than Nathan Phillip's. Great Crowd for Shinny.

Am using the facilities for the first time. We usually use the pool at Pam McConnell but couldn't find a spot this time. Instructor was so-so, didn't introduce himself and wasn't really into it. Expected alot of enthusiasm considering it's a children's program.
