Awesome dog park. Has 2 areas. 1 for smaller dogs and it's a smaller gated area. 2nd area is massive with a mini trail. Couple of benches and a communal dog bowl of water. The people who come are super friendly too. There is also a trail path at the other side. There's signs you can see but dogs must be leashed. 5 different trails 3km being the longest. It's great for hikes with dogs, jogging etc. Trails are maintained, and there's bathrooms on some of the trails which is awesome.

Definitely worth driving up here for a nice 2km nature walk. The trail are amazing with breathtaking sights.
30 April 2023 22:41
This place is great for taking a stroll and enjoying the chirping of the birds or small animals rustling through the leaves. It's a shame there aren't more areas in Bradford to appreciate the outdoors.
30 April 2023 4:31
Its a hidden gem and there is something here for everyone! Cool trails for walking, birdwatching, picnic, hiking etc. We spent about an hour and managed to explore only some areas. Will definitely be going back!
30 December 2022 4:22
During fall season, although the conversation is no longer staffed and maintained like the old days. Place is still amazing to visit with a dog, friends or family! Trails are easy, some longer options but all are family friendly.
28 December 2022 10:13
Scanlon Creek is absolutely beautiful in the fall. I love coming here because there are (limited) bathroom facilities, the trails are well marked, and it has a safe, family friendly atmosphere. There is also tons of parking on the weekends, even when it’s busy.
15 July 2022 14:34
Visited Wednesday 6-9pm
Almost empty, a few parked cars and nobody in trails.
Mosquitoes HIGH
Different trails with well defined signs on the path, all leading back to the parking lot. Map only at the head of the trails.
Free entry.
2 parking lots in the beginning and 2 at the end.
Perfect for a picnic and a short hike.
Many picnic benches available.
There is a washroom too besides shelters.
Small children area as well.
Great Creativity with wood carvings.
Wooden benches along the trails.
15 July 2022 3:17
Nice place to visit for a picnic and a short hike. All hiking loops lead right back to the parking lot.
21 June 2022 13:18
Went for an walk with my son and dog, had a great time. Beautiful scenery, lots of trail options and not too busy.
18 June 2022 18:37
This is a park with trails in the town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. Perfect for a picnic, nature sights and taking pictures.
03 June 2022 15:54
Went on the blue (Kingfisher) and red (Sugar Maple) trails. Blue had different levels of terrain and red was short and flat (we took the red trail on the way back). Ok view from the lookout, though not much to see this time of year as trees didn't have all their leaves yet. You do have to pay for parking. At the time of this review, only lot 2 was open and not 3 and 4 so we had limited spaces to choose from. We spent about 2 hours there including a quick snack break, which worked out for our parking time. If planning to have some lunch, they do have picnic pavillions and benches throughout the trails. Didnt find washroom access though; doors were locked. Overall, nice to visit!
30 May 2022 11:14
Great trails which are very well marked, we did the Kingfisher trail which I really liked. Only downside is they want you to pay for parking.
09 May 2022 3:06
A very nice winter hike! Went on a weekday and it was very peaceful with the sounds of the birds and the crunch of the snow. Did the blue trail (3.3km) and it was a nice moderate trail with some changes in elevation but pretty still able to walk comfortably. Would definitely want to come back in other seasons and also to check out the other trails!

Paid parking in effect, easy to be done with the app (clear instructions at the parking lot)
14 March 2022 23:32
Cool place to hike.
Only suggestion I would have is better maps on the trails. With "you are here" markings for people like me.
Luckily everyone on the trail is super friendly!
05 March 2022 18:44
This is a wow beautiful place to visit in winters, especially after snow falls. It was very busy Sunday, the small parking lot was full. Took the out most loop, it was about 5km in length.
24 January 2022 11:05
Totally enjoyed the walk. First time experience and we decided on the Kingfisher trail. Beautiful landscape and forest, we were lucky enough to see a Barred Owl. Great park for all ages.
31 December 2021 0:36
Very pretty area to go for a walk. Longest path is about 3kms so doesn't take long but worth the walk.
28 December 2021 11:35
The trails here are very nice but REALLY infested with bugs and mosquitoes. We had a hard time when we went in August, so much that we literally had to run our way out of the place. Bug spray is definitely recommended
22 December 2021 12:21
Solid small-ish conservation area. Series of well-marked, short trails (longest is 3km) some of which criss-cross the creek. Mix of evergreen (mostly cedar) and deciduous (mostly sugar maple) stands of trees.

Trails weren't too busy even on a weekend. Must pay for parking at mackaypay.com or with the app. $6 for whole day. Has a few bathrooms and outhouses that were open in early October.
28 September 2021 17:26
A very nice place for a long walk into the woods and kids friendly as well.this walking trail is for a family and have multiple trails to choose from…

PS-Wanted to visit early hours pls completely cover yourself from head to toe due to mosquitos and caterpillars… mosquitoes are deadly and if kids are sensitive it would lead to bulging
28 September 2021 6:33
Beautiful area but last time I went for a hike in early August, I got eaten alive by mosquitos, and I sprayed myself 3 times!
17 August 2021 15:56
Our second visit. They have nice trail with lots of trees. Can't visit the creek as it is a protected ecosystem area for wildlife. In the summer they sure do have lots of hoverflies. So make sure to bring your bug to repellant with you. No washroom and no water fountain anywhere.
10 August 2021 7:03
Looks like a lovely trail but the mosquitoes are a pain. Somehow that needs to be fixed as otherwise the trail become untolerable imo.
07 August 2021 0:29
Absolutely Beautiful Trails but Please *Do Not Forget Your Bug Spray* because their terrible here!?
05 August 2021 6:59
Most trails are shaded and it’s fun for kids. Large parking and not crowded. The lookout spot is fenced off. The different trail is well marked. The only downside was the mosquitoes. We brought bug spray base on others review and sprayed exposed skin but there were too many hungry bugs along the way we all go bitten (through my pants).
27 July 2021 10:36
Decided to go hiking with the family. The fam had amazing time. Five different trails walked 5 kilometres. Sat at the benches had sandwiches made at home kids loved it be aware lots of bugs.
26 July 2021 6:05
Great hike, go for the king fisher trail. Enjoy the Cedar forest.
Less parking, but worth it.

Don't forget to use insect repellent.
13 July 2021 14:52
Many routes to explore but not all suitable for stroller - include stairs and steep slopes at times. Good place if you need shade. Kids loved it.
There is off-leash area if you are a dog person
28 June 2021 6:20
Beautiful area for hiking. Beautiful spring flowers and diversity in forest trees. Play area for children and picnic sites.
15 June 2021 17:11
A friend dragged me there to get my exercise. It was a beautiful walk until I saw the hill that we had to climb to get back to our car. Since I'm typing this. I survived.
09 June 2021 18:10
Awesome trails for the whole family. Not really stroller friendly unless you’ve got a jogging stroller, but has some flatter trails for young kids and has lots of loops to explore with different terrain. I love that you can walk through marshland with boardwalk, forest, and open trails all in one spot.
03 June 2021 18:32
Amazing place with some awesome views and nature everywhere! The trails are well labeled and kept quite clean. Definitely enjoyed my time here and plan on coming again throughout the year!
22 April 2021 10:24
A great place to go for a hike! There are bunch of trails and fields to just sit and enjoy the view. There is a playground for kids. Couple of parking lots around. Due to covid washrooms are closed so u gotta go outside. Its a conservation area so some spots are blocked off but overall its a great place to go with kids or alone.
19 April 2021 13:42
Always nice for a walk! Different trails makes different experiences. Great for families, couples or individuals who want to get out and explore!
17 April 2021 13:21
Nice trails to take the dog out for a walk. Very busy on a sunny warm spring day. I remember that they used to charge an access fee, but the weren't charging today. Yaaaaay.
08 April 2020 9:07
Enrolled my children in a day camp while the schools are on strike. They enjoyed the day and can't wait to return.
11 February 2020 14:34
Beautiful spot and nice trails. In winter though, the trails are very icy. The chickadees are very tame and will eat out of your hand.they prefer sunflower seeds. Lots of garbage cans to deposit your litter and dog poop.
17 December 2019 16:20
I really liked it late October still the best time to see the beautiful colours of fall. The weather was pleasant and the trail was easy with deep forest
13 December 2019 3:46
Amazing place for a walk with your family or loved one. Bring your dog.great secret location for a journey into the depths of a valley we did not know exists.
30 November 2019 20:46
The dog park is great! Lots of space, open area for running, wooded area for exploring. Haven't had an issue with the dogs that come here. There's a separate area for small dogs.
19 November 2019 3:11
It is good now that they updated the trail map and markers along the way. Best place in this area for a hike.
06 November 2019 15:03
First time visiting. It is very beautiful in the fall. We brought the whole family including our dog. The kids had a great time playing in the leaves and a great place for taking photos.
28 October 2019 6:41
BRING BUG SPRAY. It's unbearable in the summer without.

That being said, this is a lovely trail. Had I been better prepared, I wouldn't stayed and explored much more. It's a beautiful spot.
13 October 2019 13:06
Awesome dog park. Has 2 areas. 1 for smaller dogs and it's a smaller gated area. 2nd area is massive with a mini trail. Couple of benches and a communal dog bowl of water. 21 September 2019 14:09
Great place to have a family picnic and play games. It has bbq and sitting area. FYI don't forget the bug spray.
19 September 2019 19:35
I've done all but one of the trails and enjoyed it. If you go on a hot day you will get eaten alive by mosquitoes on the trails.
23 August 2019 6:15
This place was SUPER.
I'm just saying make sure to bring bug spray. Also make sure to check the weather and have the right clothing. This place is perfect for dogs and sight seeing.
18 August 2019 15:43
Very nice and easy couple of hours hike with some really nice views and rest benches. Kids and pers friendly. Enjoy but don't forget bug repellant.
17 August 2019 7:36
Today, there were too many mosquitoes to call it a nice hike but seeing so many varieties of spring flowers, I'm sure it's beautiful in spring! Will go back either again this fall or in spring.
07 August 2019 22:47
Really nice park for hiking. Very quiet and peaceful. Lots of mosquitos, bug spray is a must if you are planning on going into the woods
03 August 2019 19:41
Great place to hike and/or picnic/barbecue. 5 main trails that intersect with each other. That means you can make the hike as long or short as you want and each time you come you can take a different route. It also has a play area in the main picnic / bbq spot. And a separate entrance for a dog park with 2 fenced areas. 1 for small dogs one for big.
01 August 2019 12:56
Beautiful place for relatively easy hikes. Be warned - bring bug spray during summer and spring!
15 January 2019 19:18
Nice, but icy right now, best to use a walking stick or go with someone. Did the maple route (2.5k) in about 35 min, 2 of that sent on my back after finding the ice.
Parking is reasonable, and can be done on an app.
