At New Year's Eve party - dinner & dance. Kudos to staff of the SCC for a job well done!

Went for a corporate event but the venue was being shared with a wedding. Two large sized parties at the same time. I can't say for sure what transpired but between the appetizers and main course there was a delay of about 45 minutes. That's quite a long time to make small talk with the people next to you. Then the food slowly started to come out. One side of the room was finished their meal before the second side was even served. It took that long. I don't know if they were short staffed or if someone behind the scenes took staff from our side to go help with the wedding, but the delay was long and noticable. The venue itself was big and spacious. Staff was pleasant and courteous. However one thing I did notice was when we got to our table the place cards were placed above the bread plate. There was cutlery but no dinner plate. Usually you find the place cards above the dinner plate or charger. Having the card above the bread plate caused some slight confusion because people started to sit off center. How many times have they done it this way? And then when they served the salad they took away the bread plates but then left baskets of bread. People ended up putting bread rolls on their salad. So odd. Perhaps if they only had one event going on things would have run smoother. The bar staff was excellent. Lighting was good. Sound quality was good. Decor was fine.

A great place for hosting weddings. The decoration was stunning, lots of space and colours. We always enjoy shooting weddings in this amazing venue, the staff is great and the couples are always happy with their choice!

Worst experience I had went for a wedding reception and there is coffee done not filled has to wait for 25 minutes to get a coffee. Short eat has to shout and call for. Instead of wedded people they putting some one pictures in displays

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE VENUE! Varnan was so awesome at arranging everything for my wedding reception, from the decor to the food to the audio visual it was a stunning night. I was over the moon with how beautiful everything looked. They did such a wonderful job and i would recommend them again and again. The food was amazing! Such a memorable moment i will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you for making my wedding so special!

The place is so much happening spot. Especially those who love to celebrate their special moments with a huge crowd, SCC would be a wise option.

I have attended many weddings and receptions over the past several years. Their setup and execution is one of the best in Toronto and the GTA. I always get excited to attend an event at the Scarborough Convention Center. One improvement I recommend is to ensure plates, cups and utensils are clean. When we entered the hall after the cocktail hour, at our table one of the plates still had curry residue and one of the cups still had a light lipstick mark. The tea cups still had coffee residue. The plates are starting to show its age. It's recommended to replace with newer plates, cups and utensils. The projector screen can also be improved. The photos and videos had off colours and not as clear compared to other halls.

I recently attended a wedding, and the service was amazing! Staff was super friendly, the decor setup was beautiful and everything was done in a timely manner. The food was also really good! Had an awesome experience, would highly recommend!

I was at wedding this past Friday. The food was amazing and the hall was also very clean and neat. I was impressed by how elegant the back drop was on stage. Drinks and short eats were also promptly served. I will definitely be recommending this venue to anyone looking to host an event.

This banquet hall and the bar I 100% guarantee when you get premium liquor they refill there bottles with cheap liquor have someone like the event planner or event coordinator to check and make sure each bottle is sealed before opening it’s a must if you want what you paid for **PLEASE PAY ATTENTION**

I attended a wedding reception on Saturday October 16th 2021. One of the servers who was fair and had short black hair was very rude and was behaving in an inappropriate manner to the guests. When my brother in law asked for more appetizers, she gave him a cut eye look and made a disgusting comment. This happened to my friend as well. Her behaviour was not polite and or professional.

If we pay for service, we expect to get good quality service not employees being aggressively rude and making judgemental comments.

We had our wedding at SCC yesterday. Varnan and his team went above and beyond to deliver such an amazing wedding. The decor was top notch, his team worked hard to give me the floral walkway I envisioned. Varnan even went above and beyond to deal with external vendors' service issues without even bringing it to my attention until after the wedding. The food was top notch, all our guests left complimenting their decor, food and service. 11/10 would definitely recommend! Our heartfelt thank you to Varnan and his team for making our wedding experience that much easier! ️

I had the pleasure of hosting my wedding reception at SCC. We initially planned for May 2021 but due to the pandemic & restrictions, we had to move it out to October & SCC was very accommodating. They were open to every request we had, and are an extremely kind team as well. Oh, and their food is DELICIOUS. By far the most delicious food I've ever had at a banquet hall before. I highly recommend considering (and booking!) SCC for your event - the hall is beautiful & team is great!

Varnan and his team delivered beyond our expectations for our wedding. Food Decor and Execution were amazing. Everything was beautiful. We're so grateful for all the detail they went into to gives us such an amazing experience.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

We booked our wedding in 2020 with one of the brothers, this brother is no longer with the family business & our contract info wasn't relayed to the brother who was taking over

As a result of covid we're forced to reschedule twice & then asked to give a second deposit by Sanj - that wasn't an option for us since we were both unemployed due to the pandemic

We had a meeting with Tanaz their new manager who had no correct info in regards to contract, it was like we started from scratch but thankfully we brought in our original contract which she had never seen or pretended not to see - very unprofessional

Sanj called me 1.5 weeks before our wedding and said that there was a new alcohol regulation that he LITERALLY JUST RECEIVED MOMENTS AGO & last call was at 12am but he was willing to pull strings to go till 12: 15 - we had the hall till 2am
No strings were pulled and that comment was not needed - again very unprofessional

I sent and email asking to see this new regulation - no reply
I called 2 other halls in the GTA to confirm this new info and neither had heard of this, last call had not changed from 1am

Called back spoke to Sanj who said they will look the new regulation and get back to us. Tanaz called back and advised that there was no written regulation but it was word of mouth from a wedding they had 2 WEEKS AGO - nice try!

Our wedding cake was never served as part of our late night station.called and spoke to the secretary who said they had no leftover cake for us from our wedding
I let them know that they now had to reimburse us $600 for the late night station cake & our keep cake. I received a phone call the day after. THEY FOUND BOTH OUR CAKES.boxes clearly labelled with our names KEEP CAKE & Red Velvet TO BE SERVED WITH LATE NIGHT DESERT STATION

The staff was amazing to us and our guests 10/10
As for management I won't even rate them, if you're not on top on them they will definitely try to pull a fast one on you

It's really a nice place for social gatherings and wedding parties. I attended one wedding party. They do have nice interiors, washrooms are clean, they are also maintaining the COVID protocols.

Highly recommend Scarborough Convention Centre for hosting events. Sam and Sanju's team were incredibly accommodating (during covid) and made our event memorable. Food, decor as well as other amenities were of top notch quality. Thanks a lot guys, really appreciate the work.

We recently hosted our Hindu wedding at Scarborough Convention centre and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Leading up to the wedding Sanj and his team went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and worked closely with us to plan our perfect day. On the day of the ceremony we were completely hand-off and everything ran extremely smoothly with no hiccups. We would highly recommend Sanj and the SCC team for any wedding needs.

Had the pleasure of hosting our wedding reception here. The staff was very friendly and amazing to work with as we had to plan and replan our wedding for the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was amazing with great decor and food all done by the venue which made the day of very enjoyable and stress free.

The owners of this convention center are very organized. It's a beautiful venue. It can accommodate large events.

My husband and I held our wedding reception at SCC this past weekend in July and could not have chosen a better and more reputable venue. Sanj was our lead correspondent and he and his staff delivered 110% leading up to and during the day of our wedding. From our initial meeting with Sanj to having him present at our wedding reception, we could not have asked for a more professional and personable liaison. Our wedding reception was a gathering of many different families from very diverse ethnic backgrounds and this was something that really needed to be at the forefront of our planning with our venue. Sanj provided us with the most diverse menu options and fused multiple menus together to ensure that our guests would be accommodated. Needless to say, our guests RAVED about the cuisine (from apps to the main buffet!). My husband and I even got the chance to sit down and eat and really enjoyed our dinner! Besides the cuisine, we got a premium bar package with the most fun bartenders we've ever met! They kept our guests entertained and made the most delicious concoctions! Furthermore, the lighting/AV package that we got with SCC was top of the line. It accentuated our decor and was the talk of the town, days after our wedding! Food and ambiance were really important to us on the eve of our wedding day and Sanj and his team were cohesive and delivered the best and most talked about party we could have ever imagined. Holding our reception at Scarborough Convention Centre was the best decision we made!

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. I have been to this hall before for other weddings but I just hosted my wedding and reception here and Sen was beyond amazing. He ensured that everything went smoothly and made sure that nothing went wrong. He was great to work with as he answered our questions at any time and was always willing to be available for us. The food is great, the service is great and the staff is great as well. Definitely will be recommending to others and will definitely host another event here when we have one. I cannot say enough good things about this hall.

Very satisfied. We left all our visions for our wedding reception in the hands of the professionals and they impressed us. The decor was as we envisioned and more. The variety of food was amazing, alot of our family members were impressed! The DJ and MC were also recommended by Varnan, which made our workload a lot easier. The cleaning staff were very punctual and were cleaning up throughout the night. Our family, friends, and co-workers all left stunned and happy. All credits go to Scarborough Convention Center and its staff, for making it happen the way we hoped and dreamed.

We had our wedding and reception at SCC May 2019. From the beginning to end we always had doubts if everything is going to go as planned. Varnan made our wedding and reception just perfect. The best hall I've been too. I've been there as a guest and I've also hosted my wedding there. The managers like Sen take care of everything. They are so helpful and do everything they can to make thr day smooth. Very clean very up to date and lots of options. Definitely would recommend this place for small and large events. Probably one of the best halls in GTA.

Graduation was held here. Mega issues with the AV system for viewing media but otherwise a really nice space for huge gatherings.

Our experience at Scarborough Convention Centre was fantastic. The team was extremely helpful in answering our questions and making accommodations as we prepared for our wedding. I had the honour of having my wedding reception at this lovely venue. On a warm day with hundreds of guests, every invitee was treated to the most spectacularly decorated hall with the finest service, amazing climate control, lovely lighting and most delicious food ever. Every single guest had a phenomenal time and had high expectations walking in. Coming from the show business environment, my wedding reception had a lot of performances that needed the best video projector systems, lighting and sound available to have a seamless narrative. I'm glad to say that SCC delivered the best setup and technicians to make it happen. The biggest takeaways for me were the service and glamorous decor. I could hear people gasp in awe as they walked through the doors of the hall and enjoy the phenomenal food SCC offered. All this was beautifully executed and planned for by an extremely synchronized and organized team that stayed in touch with my family throughout the planning process to the day of the event. No experience could come close to the mastery I witnessed. Thank you for making the most important day of my life perfect.

I want to say a huge thank you to Varnan for being such an incredible event organizer at Scarborough convention center. He coordinated my wedding so well and took a huge burden of stress off my shoulders. He was reliable, accountable, professional, very patient. He made sure the hall decor was exactly the way I imagined and took time and care into my food selection. My guests and I were thoroughly satisfied and I couldn't have asked for anyone better.

The place was a Beautiful sight but that is only thing that was good. The service was unorganized and when confronted about it most of the staff hid away. The food was moderate but lot of places to improve. Overall the only issue is the staff and the service system.

On behalf of my wife and I, we would like to thank the staff at SCC. We would also like to give a special thanks to Varnan the hall manager, this is one of the best banquet hall to deal with in Scarborough. Staff attended to every need as requested to make our wedding day special. We highly recommend this banquet hall to anyone for any sort of occasion.

We celebrated my husband's 80th Birthday at Scarborough Convention Center in Toronto and I can't say anything bad about it. They did a superb job and very professional and friendly. Especially we live in Columbus Ohio in the US and I just had to talk to Varnan and the receptionist girls
and everything i wanted was taken by their staff. Party was on Saturday and we went to Toronto Wednesday and went straight to Jasmine flowers of Scarborough and looked at the flower arrangments. He did a great job as well. Thursday morning we went and met Varnan and saw the hall and discussed about how to set the room and then selected the the backdrop from his collection and it just made the room so picture perfect with the blue tablecothes and my large centerpieces. Everyone was so amazed how beautiful it was. I couldn't have had that nice of a party here in the US. If I have a chance to do another party I'll definitly go to Varnan.

The hall and decorations were great. The food here was not the best ive tried. The rest of the set up sad good.

I have been to weddings at this hall before, beautiful inside. However, I went to see this hall for my own wedding recently. As soon as I entered - a STRONG odour/smell came from this hall. There are a lot of tamil weddings that happen here but they have to do something about the smell that comes From the materials/food used in their weddings. Turned right back out.disappointing.

This is a long overdue review! We had our wedding on Oct 21st, 2018 and it was a picture-perfect wedding like we envisioned. As soon as, we set our date, we wanted to lock down a perfect venue for our big day. Three things that were in our mind for venue, excellent customer service, mouth-watering food and grandeur interior that speaks for itself. Without any hesitation, our pick was Scarborough Convention Center. From gorgeous Mandap set-up, admirable customer service to delicious food, nothing short of perfection. We met up with Varnan and Sen Jega, who patiently accommodated us with every detail and managed to accomplish our wishes within the budget we set out initially. Without having a wedding planner, it was dauting to overlook all finer details. However, working along with Varnan and Sen Jega gave us confident that we were in good hands. Sen Jega went above and beyond in ensuring every small request was taken care of appropriately. For example, we requested minor modification in Breakfast by adding something different for small children. Despite it was very limited time frame and harder to find suppliers, Sen Jega made it happen! I cannot even begin to describe the array of food selections we had at out wedding, from Appam station to spicy Soya curry with rice in banana leaves. We still have family and friends gushing over how delicious the food was and it been long since they had such a selection at a Tamil wedding. Even till the end, Sen Jega allowed us to tweak minor details with décor and gracious enough to execute it on the day of our wedding.
Overall, we loved the service and venue itself. Thank you so much for allowing us to create our dream wedding and giving us so many memories to look back. We would definitely recommend this venue to all the future brides and grooms!

It's quit a big centre. Holds about 500 or more people. Lovely decor and chandiliers. Sound system is great. Projectors are good. Food selection was good but maybe not the dessert. Table decor was ok but the stage decor was very elegant and spacious, not sure if the decor was with the hall but it was pretty high and wide. The table servers and staff were very nice. Parking is massive and easy in and out. Great hall.

Big convention center with nice decorations inside. Parking is not enough according to thier guest capacity. We had a coference for 8 hours, the chsirs were not at all confortable.

Wow everything was lovely, except the FOOD, it was not to my taste. Oh it was also cold.
Hope to hear of some improvement in that area.

Place looks great with the decor on the inside, but food and beverage service could have been better.

Scarborough Conversation Center is really wonderful and has all the facilities. This has ample parking. Washrooms are clean and well maintained.
