Was referred here after our passport photos from trash-mart were rejected. Prices were reasonable, service was very quick, attendant was kind and they even had jackets in case your clothes were too light.

Yasmin might as well be an immigration lawyer. Her knowledge of system is simply amazing. She made sure my picture was correctly formatted. There is apparently several incorrect formats out there. Yasmin knew the correct one. I got my money back from another photo provider. She then advised me to notarize all my documents before submitting. I didn't see that anywhere on government website. Good idea! I was hitting every roadblock until I spoke Yasmin. A few days ago I received my official documents. Today I went back to give Yasmin a Tim's card and profusely thank her. Well deserved for her understanding and patience. Try them, you will understand why they get so many great reviews.

I highly recommend this place, my kids PR Cards photos were rejected and I visited this place following the good reviews. First of all, this the only place I have ever visited and felt like I'm at home, the nice & kind lady called Jasmin took our photos in few minutes, I received my kids PR cards a few weeks after sending the photos. Don’t usually rate restaurant or place that I have been to. But the lady at this photo Centre was so helpful.she even offered me $1 for parking cuz I don’t have my credit card and cash on me! It literally took only 3 mins to print the photos and they look amazing… professional and thoughtful. 10/10

I have been there few times and the staffs are very very friendly. The pictures are very clear and quick. They took a very beautiful picture for my 6month old son. I would highly recommend for anyone who needs photos for any visas/passport application.

I wasn't going to say anything, but a day has passed and this is really bothering me. Passport photos are very expensive but the service is convenient, friendly and professional so you get what you pay for I guess. I have 2 issues, however.

Firstly, I didn't look how much the service was, so that's my bad. My 1 1/2 year old was not cooperating and there was a line behind us, so she used the first usable photo (which was an unflattering photo of my child tbh). Had I known it was 32 bucks for a set of passport photos, I would have asked her to redo it no matter how many people were behind me.

The second issue is a much bigger one. She charged the same (32 bucks) for a jpeg. She had already taken the photos. It took at most 1 minute's work to reformat the images before she sent us the jpegs. 32 bucks for a digital file and 1 minute's work? I paid 127.80 for two sets of passport photos and 2 jpegs. I almost can't believe it. That is crazy.

Edit: In reply to the response from owner, no, it does not answer all my questions. There is no need to charge full price for a jpeg of a photo THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN TAKEN. You did not have to do anything. I paid 64 dollars for 1 minutes work. You are gouging.

Clarification to the store's edited response: I never said the entire process took 1 minute. The issue I had was very clearly about the jpegs, not the initial photos. Regarding the initial photos, I even acknowledged that you were professional and friendly and you get what you pay for.

To use your analogy, I would happily pay for a pair of socks when I purchased a pair of shoes, but if the shoes cost 64 dollars, I would also be shocked if, after I paid for them, I found out that the socks cost the same amount as the shoes. I clearly said you spent 1 minute reformatting the two photos (that had already been taken by that point) for the two jpegs. You charged me 64 dollars for doing so (for reformatting - NOT for taking and printing 2 photos). You keep bringing up my child and the difficulty of taking the photo, but I acknowledged this in my initial comment. The fact that in your justification for the price of the jpegs you keep bringing up the original photos makes me suspect that you have no justification for the price of the jpegs.

Bottom line, this feedback is intended for you to reconsider your pricing for duplicating photos that have already been taken and sending the digital files because it requires far less time, effort and resources than the initial photos themselves. One requires sitting, (in the case of a baby, entertaining), ensuring that the passport requirements are met, the act of taking and uploading the photo, the cropping, the printing, the paper etc. The other requires adjusting the aspect ratio and then sending an email.

After being turned away at the passport counter, I went to Yasmin to get a new passport photo and was not expecting her to help me find all the documents I needed in order to have my passport expedited. Thanks to her, I was able to receive not only a great picture for my passport but also my passport after only 2 days.

The ladies in here were a lifesaver for my very loud and frustrated 2 year Olds photos today. Already was a long and stressful day and they could have easily asked me to calm him down and come back, but they pulled out all the stops with a firetruck, car, cocomelon on YouTube and a lollipop. We stuck my little man up on my shouldes and got the shot. THANK YOU for making my long day just a little bit better.

It has been the best experience in getting pictures taken for my baby at Yasmin’s photo Center. Also, I got good advise relating to my application. Yasmin is really helpful.

They will not provide you with a copy unless you need if for a paper application. They will also ask you to open your account so they could be the one to upload it for you. (They said that IRCC has problems regarding their passport/visa photos)

A piece of advice to Yasmin:

While mask mandates have been removed from most indoor businesses, as a business you should consider wearing one especially if your customer is and considering the close proximity you are to a person's face. I am a Frontline healthcare worker and my experience here made me extremely uncomfortable considering I HAD to remove my mask. But instead of just taking my picture, Yasmin decided she was going to tell me a few lengthy stories which under any other circumstance is welcomed, but not while case counts are rising at a time when YOU are face to face maskless with many individuals.

If a customer comes in with a mask, be considerate and don one too while they cannot wear theirs.

EDIT: Hi Yasmin, thank you for your response. Wearing a mask for the 1-3 mins that your customer has theirs off will produce no ill effects to you. Your doctor will tell you the same. Let's not make the health & safety of your clientele all about the discomfort it creates for you.

I cannot recommend this place enough. She took THE best photo ever. I actually look 10 years younger in this photo then I did in my last passport photo 10 years ago. She took the time to do it right and I cannot be more grateful and impressed… and I’m not easy to impress.

Getting an acceptable digital UK passport photo proved difficult from a couple of other locations. Very helpful service including checking the photo online with the UK passport office to ensure it was up to their requirements.

My 2months old daughter’s application form for her Canadian passport was sent back because the picture was not eligible. Her chin was covered by clothes and the stamp behind was not clear…. I trusted this place to get decent passport picture because it is located in service Canada building and the price was NOT cheap but I ended up wasting my money and time.
I give you 2 stars just because the lady was nice.

Had a great experience for photos with my one year old. They were professional over the phone. In person they were patient, resourceful and informative. The area is not baby stroller friendly unless you get access to the elevator (not we’ll visualized) which I would recommend you call them to help buzz you up!

Met the famous Yasmin and the reviews did not lie. She was a star at taking my shy toddler's passport photo. We originally went to Staples because it was closer but the photographer took one look at my tiny shy daughter and said he couldn't guarantee a passport photo. Yasmin on the the other hand, smiled, made friends with my daughter and had the photo done within minutes. Highly recommend especially for baby/toddler passport photos.

Just a tip, if you're parking in the building lot, remember to pay, because the parking attendant checks very frequently. I saw him give 3 tickets alone while I was loading us back into the car, then he disappeared like a ninja. Man means business.

The service was very fast, and done with care. Very good sanitary measures and the owner is a lovely lady. She was also a good source of information about the passport application process.

My PR card photo was rejected twice already. I went to Yasmin and guess what! I got my PR card within 10 days. Yasmine is professional. She made sure that the photo is as per the IRCC guidelines.

I firstly visited in June to have my photos taken for my Passport and PR card renewal. I got the forms for my PR renewal printed and photo copies of all my supporting documents. Went there today to get citizenship photos. The lady stamped the wrong date on the back and said it should be fine. She didn't admit this to be a mistake and didn't offer to take a new picture. Three times I mentioned that I was not happy with the date as this was not the actual effective date of when the photo was taken. I understand the lady's reasoning but the fact is, the date was incorrect. The photo itself did not meet the requirements as set out in the "Citizenship application photograph requirements" document from the Government of Canada website. Specifically the head size specifications says the "face must be square to the camera". In the picture taken, she asked me to wear her red jacket and you could see my shoulders in the picture. Also to mention, she was talking about things like citizenship fraud that was quite unnerving and to call places like equifax, tranunion, etc. But the citizenship website clearly states to call the police in cases like this. Overall, I came for one thing and this lady was unprofessional and made it too personal.

REPLY TO BUSINESS' RESPONSE: clearly the person who responded to my review does not understand English. I did not say I was going to call the police on her but rather calling the police is what needs to be done when there is an issue with a lost citizenship ship/fraud. Also, you stamping the wrong date is an error. It does not matter whether this is going to pose issue with the process. You put the WRONG DATE and if your customer wants the date they actually came to see you than that is reasonable. These reviews you've received are highly questionable. Your response to my review is unprofessional and confusing.

My wife and I and my 3 kids went separately for a picture at this location and it's pretty amazing and wonderful despite pandemic restrictions. Observed physical distancing as you will wait outside the shop within the building if a customer was inside. The photo specifications are perfectly done with care by an accomodating lady staff who is really wonderful, full of zest and spirit. Recommend this place so much.

We had fantastic service at this location. The place is extremely clean and following the Ontario health guidelines. Yasmin A. Samji is well knowledgeable about government document photos such as Passport, PR and much more. Even she gave expert advice about the forms and how to send the documents securely to Government of Canada.

Over 20 years, I never seen any photo centre like this given this exceptional service. We highly recommend this place to anyone. And thank you for your service too!

I had an amazing experience here and one of the best customer service interactions I have ever had. I was in a rush to get a same day passport as I had forgot my passport had expired and I had a flight early the next day. The very helpful and friendly lady Yasmin A. Samji helped me through the whole process of filling out the form and getting my photos done quickly while doing an excellent job.

For me, this location become the finest spot to take passport photo in Scarborough located on the ground floor of Passport Office (Service Canada building). Well experienced owner who deals only photo services in a professional way. Super fast service and highly recommend this location for any photo services.

She's awesome! Suggests solutions that you initially think make no sense based on looking at CIC guidelines for pictures. But trust me, they work. She seems to have tremendous experiece, just by working under / near Service Canada and Passport Canada. Again, awesome service!

I took my mom here to get her passport photo for our last minute trip to Cuba. My mom was not looking forward to doing it and just grumpy in general. The lady interacted wonderfully with my mom and actually changed her whole mood with how simple and fast the whole thing was. The lady that works there is amazing at taking infant passport photos! She took the picture of my 7 week old in less than 10 mins- she was so friendly and very informative.

Website doesn't seem to have a price for photos. Also, not very customer friendly hours if they're closed in the after-school hours. Kids are supposed to miss school to have a photo taken? This is the public's first impression of your business but in some ways it is a disappointing experience.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! I wish I had gotten her name, but I’m sure she runs the show at this place. She posed me and fixed my hair for the picture. I was worried about my picture being terrible because my previous one was and now this would be my picture for 10 years, but she made sure I looked good! She was so nice and made me laugh.she clearly loves her job. She even joked around with my elderly father. 2 photos are $18.95 and quality is fantastic. It was my first time visiting, after I stumbled on this location online, and best part is that I was totally brand new to the whole process and very nervous and anxious about doing everything as per specifications.till I walked in and met Yasmin! This is the best location to get your passport photos done. The reason is the lady who owns/runs this place is superb. It is surprising how good both mine and my husband's passport pics turned out! She made our double chins cease to exist! Whoever can do that with your pics can do wonders!:) She is someone who clearly enjoys her profession and works with passion.
