Recently bought a 2022 Toyota Corolla and was impressed with the service.

The only thing that I didn't like was the time that I had to wait, but they did offer me 2 free oil changes, so that made up for it.

Also, there was some disorganization with the insurance needed for the vehicle and the plate fee, but overall, it was good.

During the purchase of a new Rav4 from Scarborough Toyota, I was trading in my old Toyota as well. We agreed on a trade-in value of $14,000. When the written agreement was given to me it showed $13,000 which I didn’t notice because I trusted that our verbal agreement was being honoured. When I confronted them regarding the $13,000 amount they informed me, -sorry what’s on the written agreement now stands.
When dealing with this company please make sure you do your due diligence and check all the dollar Amounts.

I recently bought my car grand highlander from Scarborough Toyota and was very impressed with the quality of service. The staff was friendly and professional, especially the service advisor Mansour Boufi who was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend Scarborough Toyota for their excellent customer service. I'll definitely recommend your services to my family and friends.

Kudos to Mark Banaag for helping us purchased our 2nd car. He was very accommodating and truly cares for his clients. We appreciate his effort in entertaining our questions and concerns. He was able to answer and explained thoroughly to us what we wanted to know and how things are done and calculated. He was transparent to us and we thanked him for that. Transparency is a big deal to us due to some reasons when we purchased our first car in this dealership too 3 yrs ago. It was not a good experience. However, we’ve decided to give them a second chance due to the good customer service we received every maintenance appointment and also how the general manager would always reached out to us for our concerns. We were happy and satisfied this time that we made the right decision to give them a second chance and glad to meet Mark Banaag. He gave us a 10 star service and he also deserve 10 stars as well. Went to the dealership for a test drive (2021 rav 4 trail) and to look into the financing rates.

Appointment was set up 2 business days in advance for 2: 30pm with Abbas, though i mentioned i would likely be there earlier to beat traffic (almost a 2 hr drive) to which he said no problem I’m in at 2.

I arrived at about 2: 10pm, was barely greeted by reception and was left waiting until approx 2: 35 for Abbas to arrive. No problem.

He got there, we were attempting to speak numbers (before even test driving) this took about 15 mins. No problem.

He then proceeded to arrange someone to appraise my car for trade in, another 10 minutes (with no confirmation i was even wanting to buy or trade in, at this time - it was made clear i was shopping around). They added approx 30km. No problem!

Abbas then proceeded to advise he had to go get the vehicle ready, as it was not.another 15 mins. No problem.

Finally, test drive time! Abbas tells me he will be coming with me (strange? As this has never happened prior. As a young single female this was odd to me), again, no problem!

On our test drive, Abbas is directing me how to drive, and where i need to be going. Proceeds to take a phone call, and then ask me to stop on my time to pickup some filters he had forgotten too.

After being left waiting in the parking lot on my test drive for at least 15 minutes, Abbas returned to continue our drive back to the dealership.

Upon arrival back at the dealership, he proceeded to leave me waiting another 20 mins while he went back and forth, providing a lowball trade in offer and trying to pressure me into a sale.

As i was interested in the vehicle, and seeing what numbers they could provide, i continued as i was shopping around looking for the best deal.

Abbas proceeded to tell me i required a deposit on the (new incoming) vehicle that i was interested in, to “hold” it for me.

Explicit, i said i was not interested in this, that i just wanted to get the numbers. Abbas continued pressurized sales tactics, to the point i left a small deposit as i didn’t want to miss out (guess this is what they pay him for!).

Upon speaking with Shelly (finance manager) i was still interested in the vehicle even after the shotty sales tactics and service. We ran some numbers and came to an agreement to go for financing approval, however no purchase ppwk/approval was signed at this time or given, as by this time it was already closer to 5pm, shelly mentioned shed get back to me the next day with approval numbers etc and we could proceed then.

I followed up the next day - no response.

Followed up 2 days later - again no response.

Waited a day, and followed up again - also sending an email to Matt Treacy (GM per company website) for advisement.

Abbas finally phoned me, we discussed a larger deposit, no problem.

Waited a day, still nothing. Followed up again still nothing.

Called by phone, still nothing.

Fast forward some business days later, i scored a MUCH better deal on a used (brand new condition) rav 4 trail elsewhere, fraction of the cost and my trade in offer was almost triple what Abbas offered me.

Had to then travel another 4 hr round trip to receive the deposit (that i should have never placed) back.

Reception was rude and unwelcoming, apparently they aren’t sure how to say “you’re welcome” or “have a nice day”, either!

All in all, beautiful vehicle - bad experience. I would not recommend and I'm extremely glad i pulled out and went elsewhere, and wasnt ripped off for my deposit refund (10/10, Scarborough Toyota!).

Would put money on the fact that 90% of these reviews are fake, or employee family/friends (the BBB reviews seem much more accurate) as the service in sales/reception/finance, is horrible.

Save your time, money and patience - go somewhere else.

Excellent customer service, reliable and quality work, I always trust my car with Jeanneth Lagman, Service Advisor to take care of my car. I live up North and travel 4+ hours south to this location whenever I need to get work done/seasonal service work on my car for the past 3 years and counting! Jeanneth is very professional and provides great advice with recommended services and details to ensure my safety and peace of mind as I travel often.

Manager is very aggressive and rude. They are taking advantage of chip shortage and forcing costumer to buy the car with rust proofing and warranty which are optional. He refused to book a car for me without it where as i was able to book a car without any additional cost with other dealer. Always gives false information to sell the car. Definitely do not recommend going there.

Good place, great inventory but I was shocked that when you give the car for service, they don't even like clean/polish/ the car interiors! The representative said to me "we used to do outer wash & interior clean and upholstery polish before giving the car, but nowadays were very busy & have stopped the interior part"! I mean wth!

We just went to pick up our tires from storage. We had to go to three different desks to find the right person. That person asked us to wait. We waited 40 mins, then asked someone what was going on. They hadn't processed our order. 10 mins later we had our tires. Nice people, but highly inefficient and disorganized. I plan to service my Toyota at another dealership.

Got my Toyota 2018 CHR for winter tire changeover on Friday Nov 12,2021. They recommended me to alignment the vehicle but didn't show me worn out on tire. They charged me 1 tire plug for $12 without inform me where. They resealed 1 tire which had zip tie on, is still not seal properly.
When returned my vehicle I couldn't close the console box because technician threw one tire hit the box. I asked the to fixthe problem so I can close the console box. He told me that my car is small so he can't put tires properly. I got my tire changeover last year no problem.
This visit was very bad. I'm not very happy with this service at all. Invoice number TOCS925958, Tech 2564. I hope that service manager should correct this issue so customers don't have to get unfair experience.

Note: Known your car worth before coming down to make trade in deal: I was offered the lowest trade in price here at Scarborough Toyota (common for many dealerships), but they are willing to match up the best price i have, and we manage to get on common ground and close the deal.

Took my girls car in there expecting the same attitude I get at XXXX.nope, Phillip was first class.car was fixed on time, staff were efficient and friendly.the staff enjoyed being there.

Avoid the service department, dishonest and did not do any work even though I paid for transmission change I had another mechanic see it he said they did nothing. I called the service manager and emailed Ricardo assistant service manager no one response.

I bought the Rav4 used for my business maybe 6 months ago, and they showed me the transmission fluid was slightly red and said it should be changed next 12 months. However, last week when my mechanic looked at the transmission fluid, he said it looked like it had not been changed at all, he said to make sure you go back and ask them to do the work.

I recall that the day when I wanted to get it done, I was asking for a transmission fluid filter; the service advisor and mechanic were insistent it did not need a filter change and seemed annoyed when I was asking for it, not sure why they were saying no to extra business and money. In the end, I just agreed not to have the transmission filter change; however, I am not sure if that caused them not to change the transmission fluid at all since it is the same color.

I called the service advisor said that it was over 6 months ago and the color should have changed, which is not true, and also it was about 3 months ago. Eventually said that a manager would call me back and no one has called me back, I emailed the assistant service manager and they did not have the decency to email me back.

I got a certified 2019 Toyota corolla from Scarborough Toyota last week. Generally, we go to authorized car dealership considering it would be certified by Toyota and would not have any kind of mechanical problem. In my case, Next day of purchase we found out there was some noise coming from the car when I place the car in drive gear. We went back to dealership and the mechanic found out that noise was coming out of transmission and they ordered that a part. I was very disappointed when I heard that. This is my first car in Canada. Dealership didn't identify the problem before selling the car. What is the use to buy a car from a Toyota dealership if I have to face similar problems that would usually come, if I would have bought a car which is not certified and getting it from regular car dealers.

My search for a car at good deal comes to an end at Scarborough Toyota. Ashiqur, the product advisor knows very well what can suite the best need for his clients. From the initial discussion till handover to our new car 2021 Toyota RAV4 XLE AWD Premium he treated us like a family and answered all the queries even after sales. Also thanks to manager Ray who gives us a good deal on a new car. I definitely would recommend to consult with Ashiqur before buying a car.
