I am so happy with my new hair thanks to Jillian. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming.

Went to get my roots done two weeks ago and had a hair stylist named Fiona. I was charged $100 (before tip) just for the dye (no cut no hair dry/style or anything. I dried and straightened my own hair). Now I have very uneven gross lines in my hair and am super self conscious. They also asked if they could take a picture for their portfolio and then claimed my split dyed hair was “full service done by Fiona” when in reality she isn’t responsible for my hair style/cut or dye in any way other than the roots that are now poorly done on one side of my split dyed hair.

I can’t say enough good things about Scissors! Mel is absolutely amazing! I’ve been seeing her now for about 2 years & she’s always done an amazing job on my hair! All the staff at scissors are very friendly and helpful too!

Clean, modern, stylish and happy people working there. Ohhh did we forget the talented hairdressers!

My hairstylist is Cristabel if there are more starts than 5, I would give her. I did a hair treatment recently and it’s spectacular. My husband cut his hair there too.give it a try if you are near Kanata.

The perm was amazing and Yodit did a wonderful job. However, Cristablel, did the haircut afterwards. The haircut was a total abomination. She created a bald spot on the side of my head, and made the cut way too short. Come here for the perm, and get the haircut somewhere else. On top of all that, I had to wait an entire month for this appointment, just to have it ruined.

I had an appointment with Alicia for haircut and vivid color at noon and as I live somewhere faraway from here I called and told them I would be there at about 12: 20 pm and asked them if it was still okay to come, they told me yes it’s ok and see you…
When I arrived there (12: 26) they told me my appointment was cancelled because I was 30 minutes late, YES I was late but I let them know before I left the home, they could simply tell me it is not ok, the time I called them, so that I would not take 25 minutes trip to be there. And when I told them I let the front desk know that I was late they told me she heard you told I would be there in 10 minutes:/

If I could give this place zero stars I would!
Called me the day of my appointment to tell me my stylist is taking a personal day and that they have to cancel 5 day before I leave for Cuba! I was clearly upset cause I had everything planned…they didn’t like the fact that I was upset and told me that they couldn’t help me anymore! How selfish
Don’t go here! RUN!

If you need good service and amazing work, this is the place to go, and if you are looking to get beautiful balayage, go to Burcu. She is very knowledgeable for finding the tone that suits your skin color and, at the same time, doesn't damage your hair.

Had gone in for a consult with Jenn, my biggest fear was having my hair chopped off and an all one length no style straight cut. I booked an appointment for a week later and yes I did have some very dead ends and needed a good trim. I now have an all one length no style straight across cut. Not what I was expecting nor am I happy with. Lessons learned to trust your gut.

I've been going in to get my hair colored by Alicia for over 8 months now. Always a fantastic experience.

We just left Scissors were Ginelle cut my granddaughter's hair. She asked for curtain bangs and got really short short bangs. We even showed her a photographs of what she wanted. She got NOTHING like the photograph. If the stylist cannot meet the request it should be said at the time, not to go ahead and do something else. I now have a heartbroken granddaughter.

The best hair studio in the city. I have been going there for years and always recommend them to friends!

I had the best hair cut I've had in a long time. Rocky really is an expert, I highly recommend this salon. Friendly relaxed atmosphere where you are not pressured into buying products.

Jinal is amazing. Super easygoing and communicated so well regarding the cut, colour and styling. Super efficient and detailed doing the highlights.

I always get my hair cut and coloured here. I've never had better service. Richard always gives a superb cut that grows out well and Jme does great colour. The staff are all friendly and helpful when I have questions about products also.

If you want someone to actually listen to what kind of hairstyle/haircut you want, then I highly recommend to NOT GO HERE. I went a total of two times, the first I asked for a haircut for only a trim but they ended up absolutely butchering my hair. That was about a year ago, so I decided to go and try again but with a different person to get a haircut/style in case the first experience was just a fluke. Although the second time was worse than the first, the women did not do anything I asked for and basically just did what she wanted to. I showed her multiple pictures and confirmed with her multiple times the haircut I wanted. In the end it was nothing how I wanted it to be and the customer service didn’t do good either since they did not reply to my email. So if you want an actual haircut of your choice PLEASE go somewhere else, they’ll make your hair nothing how you want it to be. You’ll just end up being disappointed.

Mandatory masks and sanitizer everywhere. Felt very safe. Mel did get a great men's cut at a reasonable price.

I was so beyond pleased with my experience at Scissors. My appointment started exactly on time, my stylist Lexi, who specializes in blondes did the most perfect job with my hair the colour and tone and placement were perfect the style was lovely and all along with great conversation and fun. I would highly recommend Scissors Kanata:) I have booked again for December!

I only went because my friend recommended this place for hair. I was apprehensive about going somewhere new because my regular place closed due to Covid.
I got my hair done a few weeks ago so as I'm seeing it grow, I hate it so much. I hated it when I left and Jill didn't seem to care but I didn't care much about her poor attitude, I still tipped as I always do and left but I told my friend Rebecca, "I wouldn't go back and I my hair looked uneven and poorly cut. The place seemed dirty and the hairdresser I got seemed pretty dreary and mad at least I found. No real conversation at all.
I can't recommended and wouldn't go back, at least not to her.

I got my hair coloured and cut. Overall the service was great and they ladies who helped me amazing. I was super pleased with Angela who gave me a brilliant hair cut though I felt it was rushed towards the end. Yodit, helped with my hair colour! Not happy at all with the way it turned out. Though She asked what I wanted, she did not take time to discuss what I wanted and was comfortable with! She did not show me any colour samples at all. I was very anxious as I was getting my hair colour done after 3 years of not having one. I asked for balayage and was declined by saying so time for it, even though I went in with an appointment. Then I settled for highlights and I was shocked the way it turned out. They look more like full head coloured rather then highlights.
I was looking forward for sporting a great hair look this summer and absolutely disappointed even though I got a great haircut, the colour absolutely spoilt it for me!

Friendly staff and have a great safety measures in place for COVID19 without ruining a nice salon experience.
