Did a quote online, got a great price. I could NOT get anyone to follow up and set it up so I ended up going to insurance company that was quoted directly rather than through this broker. What a waste of time

Clemence Rafada from Scoop Insurance Brokers for CAA made this a very easy process to transfer our business to her brokerage. This was a quick and efficient from quote to asking for documentation to sending us the documents for electronic signature and then on to policy being issued. As I have talked to many insurance offices this week looking for a better rate and service I know that we made the right choice here. I would definitely recommend Clemence Rafada from Scoop Insurance Broker.

Fair price mine did go up after first quote but the first one was ridiculously low. Mandy Grandmond was perfect was a long phone call but worth it all in the end! Thank you mandy:)
Update review. Was 5 star when I got quoted 160 then they used the it's your first truck excuse I see alot of people talking about! Trying to raise it to 350 a month! They also took random payments out of my account I don't trust them. Mandy it wasn't your fault:)

Tabitha Merkys is very competent and professional as a Senior Broker at Scoop. She is well versed in their policies and was very efficient in handling my file. She is an asset to the organization and I will continue to work with Scoop because of my experience with her. 6 star rating if I could!

I switched my vehicle insurance from Sonnet to Scoop because my premiums increased from $105 per month to $194.13, with no explanation whatsoever. I dealt with Taylor O'Brien from Scoop and she is nothing short of amazing. There was a fraudulent accident reported on my record, dating back to 2008, involving a vehicle I have never owned or even driven, and Taylor was relentless in getting this expunged from my driving record. I am super impressed with her dedication to her clients, and the fact that she went over and above what was required to assist me has made her one of my favourite people. She is kind, patient, and very understanding, and I am very happy I made the switch.

This online company reflects poorly on CAA Insurance which it represents. After I cancelled prior to the end of my policy period, I rec'd a letter confirming my cancellation, while also informing me that a refund cheque WILL FOLLOW.or balance owing WILL BE SHOWN in the final invoice. That caused confusion. I had to waste my time calling Scoop to gain clarification. Customer care agent was casual & gas lit me. She didn't understand how serious it is when a financial svcs company cannot provide clarity from the get-go. I asked the agent to escalate the call to her supervisor. She said that couldn't be done. Such difficulties in understanding do not build confidence. I will not be using Scoop Insurance Brokers in future. Just not a serious business - for my money.

Never ever work with this company. I went through hell with these guys.
I switched my insurance to CAA through Scoop in September. I provided Void check and all the documents that they needed.
After a month I noticed that the monthly installment has not been deducted from my account. I contacted them and informed about the issue. I was told that it would be deducted soon. The following month there was no deduction. I figured out that they entered my bank account information incorrectly.
After multiple calls that they could not help me finally someone at Scoop reached out to CAA and updated my account but as a result of late payment (which was not my fault from the beginning), I had to pay another month in advance. I did the payment of $1700 with the credit card.
After two weeks when I checked my account, it still shows that I had to pay $950 to CAA.
Again I had to go and call and explain the whole ordeal with the customer service and they told me that they will reach out to CAA to fix the issue.
After 48 hours I was informed that I have to pay another $20 for late payment.
There are bunch of unprofessional people running this company. Don't deal with them otherwise, you will have to hire someone to call them everyday to solve the problems that they started and they may not be able to fix them at all.

The worst experience ever! Do not go with them. By phone their Broker Archana gave me a good rate and told me that it includes rent a car in case of accident. Finally this cheap price does not includes anything. Also initially I was asked only drive licences, void cheques and pictures of winter tire. Then when we left Toronto and we have only couple days to renew our insurance, she was asking bunch of documets which you can get only if you are in the city, for example, some paper from Service Canada. The worst experience EVER.

After getting several car insurance quotes l went with Scoop insurance. My broker Steve Chajka was really knowledgeable and immediately put my mind at ease. He gave me several policy choices and payment schedules to fit my needs. I had a slightly lower rate from another broker but Steve earned my business with his exceptional service. I highly recommend Scoop insurance for all your insurance requirements.if you can, get your flu shot or Booster and let's protect each other!

Had an amazing experience with broker Andrew Holub from Scoop! Not only did he provide detailed explanations of various coverages but most importantly the ones that I really need. This saved me a ton of money over my previous insurance. Keep up the great work Andrew. Take care!

I was between a rock and a hard place due to my insurance broker not answering me the day before I was to get my new car and being closed the day I was to get my new car (Saturday). I was going to have to wait another week because of work. I used rates.ca and got a quote. Scoop called me right away and were very understanding. Chris Sitko was super helpful, went over all of my options thoroughly and answered every question. I found new cheaper insurance same day and was able to get my car. Definitely made my life much easier and very good customer service!

The absolute WORST customer service I have experienced in 2021!
Being the office manager of a busy HVAC Company I cannot imagine taking days, weeks or months to respond to my customers inquiries or requests for documentation, let alone ignoring or only partially fulfilling their requests.
Everyone's time is valuable!

Kitarth Sutariya (extension 906) did an amazing job getting my car insured after I moved to Ontario. Not only was he able get me insured before my previous registration expired (in a matter of days), he was there for me as I switched my license and got my car registered on the same day. On top of that, my premium ended up being a lot lower than I expected. Highly recommend going to Kitarth if you don't want insurance to be a headache.

Looked for insurance on Insurancehotline.com and came across Troy Blackledge from Scoop Insurance. Troy was incredibly helpful and ensured that we received the lowest rate possible on our cars and tenant insurance. Incredibly happy and satisfied with their service. Highly recommend.

“Scoop”. Is the broker you get via rates.com. They own them. The unprofessionalism will make you forget a good rate
After running the gamut of online quote, conversations and written confirmation and exchange of documents I then confirmed a go in writing. I wait. No response back. I wait some more.
The next day: Sent more emails, requesting call back or paperwork - saying I needed to release my current policy renewal -coming up on the weekend.
No indication anything amiss. I figure “She must be super busy”. In the meantime I release my current provider. As it renews the following day. Middle of weekend.
7 emails later. 2 voicemails. It’s been 5 days! 4 business days for them. Not. One. Response. Not one!
I’ve still yet to hear back. Radio silent. No idea what’s going on.
Completely unprofessional.
Who is watching over these idiots? Brutal.
(Oh. And if you think these positive reviews are unsolicited think again. When was the last time every single review mentions the broker. By name in the first sentence. You decide).

I had a great experience working with Ryan Roberts at Scoop Insurance. After being on hold for hours on end, we decided to cancel with them BC their customer service is so terrible. They seem to have the worst business practices such as rushing people in the door but not dealing with anything after that. I cancelled the policy back in August. They sent me a letter stating such. But since then they've been stealing money that isn't there's (Taking something that you shouldn't is stealing) for the past 2 months. Then again having to be on hold for hours on end again to not even talk to anyone. Please avoid this company as much as possible. Intact would probably be better.

Had a pretty bad experience, wasted 4 days working with them and literally zero output. Different agents, different information, no sync. Information provided was inconsistent. Please avoid.

Good rates, terrible service.they started a new policy without cancelling my old one and had me paying for 2 policies without my knowledge and then wouldnt give my money back for the policy that should have been cancelled.calls drop all the time with no call backs, makes it very hard to contact them about any policy changes

We dealt with Mark Cote while we were shopping around for new insurance coverage for our home and auto and he was extremely helpful and very courteous. He was informative and professional to our concerns and walked us through the whole process. In our view he provide a great service and we were very satisfied with the results.

Cindy Gosine is one of the best CSR's I've had the pleasure of dealing with, very patient, she took the time to do the job right the first time, she speaks with a smile and is a definite asset to the Scoop insurance Customer Service team.
I highly recommend Scoop insurance, it's a great company to deal with.

Verified all of my information with TWO seperate representitives, who both somehow provided me quotes to the wrong address, even after confirming the details several times, then raising the price several hundred dollars a few days later once they catch their "mistake"

I had a nearly identical experience about a year prior. Once the police determined what they did was fraud, I was refunded in full.

If you wonder why Kinetix/KTX/Scoop changes their name every year, it's in an attempt to avoid the TERRIBLE reputation and BBB score they have earned through years of awful service.

I wouldn't recommend Scoop to my enemies and I genuinely wish everyone there the absolute worst.

Although they offer access to good rates, their wait times are outrageous - one day I waited on hold for over 2 hours and then was just hung up on. Callbacks are not very prompt and not all agents have proper training and can end up being very frustrating to speak with. They have a lot to work on. And what is up with the name change? Scoop Insurance? Stupidest name I have ever heard. What was wrong with KTX? Think it is just an indicator of how lost they really are as a company.

After trying desperately to get a decent price for an auto insurance as a newcomer to Canada (a system which will ask you to pay an arm and a leg just because you were never insured in this country), I was so lucky to have found Mr. Stephen Ferguson who spared my family a few hundred dollars a month (!). He was not only kind and empathetic, but walked the extra mile which a lot of people in customer service won't do.

As a first time home buyer with little knowledge on what coverage I needed, they made the process easy to understand and were very straight forward. Ryan was incredibly helpful sourcing us with good priced auto insurance as well as helping with all the logistics. Our case was a bit complicated since we were coming in from across the border, but Ryan stuck with us and made it work. TBD about the insurance policy itself, but the upfront process was great with Ryan and Scoop.

My son was rear ended and his truck was a write off. NOW they are making him PAY the insurance on the vehicle until HE flips the ownershop to unfit that THEY deemed unfit! They even made him get the accident report from the police! Shameful & a complaint to the better business bureau will be following.would not recommend to anyone!
