I went to use their atm after work and before I could finish my transaction the machine stopped working with over $500 of my money in the machine and it did not deposit it into my account. I have called twice and have been routed to call centre, both calls resulting in no staff in the store being able to speak with me. Unacceptable.

This branch is getting worst and worst. Every time i go here there is new person helping me who is on training or doesn't know anything about banking
I am with scotia since 5 years never had a problem
This location sucks at it service the person helping me always need some senior help to help me and even to do transcation from with my account to another account which mine too it takes them 1hr.manager need to take care of customer service i am not expecting this kind of service. Or els i meed to see some other option soon.if i have 0 rating option i would have gave zero to this location.other location are fine

open till 6pm on Thursday and Friday. Bank closed at 5PM. Kindly value people’s time. Thank you

From machines not having money in them and staff that chats too much to one another, are only a couple of problems this bank has. Even last week there was a security situation were the door was being locked, the women doing so coughed right in my face when entering with no masked on. She looked terrified but should have composed herself better, not to instole fear in the customers or just left for the day.

Poor service.
They fixed appointment over the phone but didn't even call me. I had to again wait for 50 minutes to get to talk with one of the person.

Why are you closed Saturdays? I work all week and can't do my banking. You close early at night. I'm pulling my mortgage from this bank and going somewhere else. The customer service is junk. The ladies behind the counter sit and talk to eachother and ignore customers.once dealing with a customer they are rude. Get some training and learn customer service and open your hours back up.what a joke

Staff needs training and information.
Funny thing is management doesn’t take any action even after getting low reviews.
Forget about employees but management needs to be changed.

I opened an account here recently and have had nothing but positive experiences during my visits. Friendly staff and no issues.

The hours are very inconvenient, during the peak of covid the hours were even worse and forced people to line up, close together. The parking, very difficult especially driving a big vehicle. Putting up that fence, absolutely the wrong idea. I wont suggest this bank to anyone who works weekdays as you would have to take time off of work to come to the bank. You can't do a lot of services through an atm, you need a teller or someone to ask questions.

I had the pleasure of dealing with the assistant manager at this location who is very polite and friendly. However, the lack of response is appalling and takes days of you (customer) chasing for a response. You won't get an email or call back despite sending multiple follow ups and days in between.

Go somewhere else if you want a request handled in a reasonable amount of time. It's your money. Don't make it your loss of time too.

Terrible staff and terrible management. I did international wire transfer 1.5 months ago and the receiver hasn’t yet received the money. Staff at branch is clueless and never helped. I can bet 1,000 dollar if anyone can get assistant branch manager over the phone, her phone is always on voice message and she never calls back.

Gets an extra star because it’s the only one open on the weekend out of all the Scotiabanks in my area but I called in a week ago asked for an appointment to have a new account made and was told that I didn’t need to have an appointment just walk in. Planned my Saturday morning out to come in just to be told that I needed to make an appointment when I came in. Thats was my original reason for calling ahead of time. Now my time is wasted and they look bad at a customer service point of view. I’ve been with Scotiabank all my life and I put up with the terrible hours but if service begins to fall aswell then why stay at scotiabank. Frustrated.

Terrible customer service. I was looking for mortgage. I sat down one of the broker few weeks ago. He preapproved me mortgage. Since, then I talked to my cousin and she decided to partner with me so we can apply for mortgage together.
This is the email I send him today.
My cousin wants to partner with me to purchase a house. It will be her second house. She has pre approval from Royal bank.
We are looking for $600k house maximum together.
Since, Iam first time buyer I can do 5% downpayment. How much downpayment will she has to pay? Does she have to take mortgage from Scotiabank since we will partner 50-50?
His respond is
You can do the mortgage at any bank. The mortgage over 500k you would need to pay more than 5%

No one ever answers the phone be prepared to wait, enter info, be transfered.this takes a minimum 15 minutes.no BS for real.

To my understanding there are a few individuals who are not very happy with the customer service.my personal experience has been positive. Staff is very welcoming and nice not to mentioned they aren't boarder control like Saginaw Park Way Scotia Bank. I really enjoy this location.

I went in here late Saturday and the greeting I got once I swiped in was between rude and hostile. "What do you want? " There are many ways of expressing a professional greeting that are neutral or courteous. That's not one of them. Kids these days -.

The other one star reviews aren't exaggerating, this really is a terrible branch. There's no other way to put this but if you expect to go in here and receive any kind of actual customer service, you will be sorely dissapointed. The tellers could care less about you or your business - for a major bank, this is pretty surprising. But maybe Scotia has a plan, at least for this branch. Deliver such an atrocious experience that customers will just switch to pure online banking and therefore they can close more branches down - its the kind of corporate strategy Dr. Evil would be proud of.

If, per chance, you find yourself in the unfortunate position of going into this branch, don't ask for the manager. The staff are under instruction not to bother her for something as trivial as customers.

The only saving grace for Scotia is that this branch appears to be isolated. The downtown Waterloo and Brantford branches are staffed by competent and friendly people.

RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNKNOWLEDGEABLE

Went into this Scotia location with a simple problem and the bank teller couldn’t be any less helpful. Yet it got even worse when he asked the unwelcoming pregnant woman in the corner for assistance.

I received an offer through email regarding my account and the offer wasn’t being honoured. The pregnant lady had to no interest in even seeing the e-mail I had with me on my phone but wanted to shut me down and consistently attempt to prove she was correct. When I again re-read the email she then told me to contact customer service because that’s not “common” and they wouldn’t be helping with anything in the branch.

It took a 5 minute phone call with a customer service rep in MEXICO who asked me to forward the email offer I received and all charges were reversed immediately.

As a manager myself sometimes it’s not what you say it’s how you say it and their customer service in this location is non-existent. I would NOT use this location unless I’m only going for the ATM machines but the reviews speak for themselves.

The Staff here has always been helpful and we have had great service with both our business and personal accounts over many years. Customer service is a challenging industry and before you leave negative reviews using someones name just know that they could have been having a bad day or something could have happened. I am sure everyone is trying their best and although they did not meet some customers expectations please remember they're human and they don't need to be attacked online.

Liam sucks. Worst customer service from a bank teller I've ever had. He did not thank me, say hi or ask me if I needed assistance with anything else. He looked absolutely miserable. If you don't enjoy your job bud just quit. Save us from having to look at your miserable face.
