The manager is not collaborative neither willing to assist clients. Doesn’t like to say his name or giving his card, saying he is new doesn’t have yet cards! The staff are lazy and counting seconds to go home and leave the customers with no answers. Very lazy unprofessional staff and manager.one of the female staff black hair to shoulders making rude comments against a special need child.

Ok let’s begin this story by saying I only had to use an ATM, that was my sole purpose for this trip. I do bank at RBC however I’m fine paying the extra fees. They have 3 machines. Tried the first, nope didn’t work. Second, nope, and Third nope. So I assumed it was like CIBC where there is a limit of $400 (I was pulling out $1000) then I politely asked the 90 year security guard if he knew if there was a limit? I don’t think he was mentally all there and was zero help and told me to get in line. 6 people in front and I have places to be. 4 tellers working too. So shouldn’t be too bad. So I thought. And seriously let’s go back to the security guard thing for a second. I’m 36,6’8,250 pounds and an unarmed 90 year old man is gonna stop me in case anything ever happened? Mind boggling. Ok back to the story. I waited 20 min in line, and the finally approached the teller who was absolutely useless. I asked her too politely if there was a limit on the machines, she literally had no idea. I don’t know what kind of training Scotia Bank does but obviously they missed a part. Or she was missing brain cells, either one. So in the end, she saw the RBC Debit Card and said “nope we don’t do that here” so at this point, a simple atm trip turned into a 40 min tutorial of how stupid people actually can hold down jobs. So……I went to BMO next door and was done in 5 min.sigh

Unprofessional customer service. I kind of felt discriminated today for the very first time in Toronto. Hope they look into this matter.

Very rude, judgemental and unprofessional staff -
Worst Scotiabank experience-

Garbage customer service
(Only Teller lady she was fine although no Hi or welcome but still better than other tellers as they were on their phone didnt notice me)

and 0 stars for the financial advisor
-South Asian guy with glasses was just terrible.

He has zero financial knowledge with zero interest in working and totally no idea about customer service.

First teller said she scheduled an appointment with the FA then she said advisor is not available.

Then the guy was just walking near me stopped by asked me personal questions on the hallway in front of so many other customers (very unprofessional) about my monthly pay, my credit score, my status in the country etc.and answered in a super rude way.

When I asked some questions based on my knowledge and research - He was just blank and clueless but tried to coverup and act cool like he know the products and showed me Ego that I am the financial advisor.

Then he just ended the conversation by redirecting me to another random advisor (who was on off today) and asked me to come back tomorrow.

But wearing formal clothes and walking like you own the bank does not make you smart or knowledgable and definately does not give you any right to judge people and disrespect them.

SCOTIABANK you can do a better job in hiring and training your staff. Stop hiring rude egoistic staff with zero knowledge and start hiring professionals with atleast customer service.

I am a customer for 6 Years and this kind of experience is forcing me to move to another bank. You were better when I joined and now your staff is terrible.

It would be nice to have some money left in the ATM on Sundays. Especially if people have to drive long distance to pick it up. Last time I was here it was locked. ‍️

Worst customer service of any branch in the GTA! Tried depositing checks that I regularly cash and they didn't want to clear the funds even though they said "they know the checks are good. "

What kind of business is this? I could have gone to money mart but I figured since I have 2 business accounts and 1 personal account with scotia I will be looking for another bank.

Probably go with a credit union thus time since I like the thought of being treated like an actual person and not just a number.

But they don't even give that much respect at this branch.

A very unwelcoming branch. The teller- a South Asian woman- had a mean mug the entire time. I was at the branch. She has no etiquette and is clearly working at that branch unwillingly. The other employees seemed nice and the branch itself was decent.

Impossible to make an appointment. If I call I have to listen to robot instructions for 5 minutes, just to find out I need to stay on hold for 45 minutes just to say I want an appointment. No way on Earth the branch phoneline is backed up 45mins at 10am on a Wednesday. Then they say its quicker to make an appointment online. Which I cant do because the questions they ask to verify its my account are completely irrelevant and not related to my account, so they wont let me in to the website to actually make an appointment. What a useless joke. People being paid to avoid actually doing any work or answering a telephone.

Horrible customer service…. Their financial advisors don’t know anything and don’t want to do anything to help solve your issue!
I never want to visit the branch but their CSRs on phone literally force people to visit as they believe people working at the branch know better LOL
Customer since 2017 and left with a bad experience every single time because they don’t know how to do their job

Incompetence at its finest.not a single ABM machine works and they blame it on their customers. Not even admitted that they were wrong. Why pay those branch employees salaries for doing nothing? Something must change, someone must be held accountable and resign or close the branch.

I being with Scotiabank for many years. Few years back I had to use the branch on Queensway were the services are so bad starting from the manager. I got to the point where I was thinking to change the bank. Im very disappoint with the branch staff and disappointed how nothing is being done so far.

Save your time and a headache and take your business elsewhere do some research what you get when you invest or put your money in this Banks and then you'll see you get nothing in return

Be careful to save money at this bank, There was a huge discrepancy between the amount of money that the teller had Saved for me and the amount of money that I actually had. Horrible place!

Awesome Branch!

The Manager personally took care of my needs in a timely and professional manner.

Will Most Definetly be going back to this location specifically, and Scotiabank because of my great experience.

Customer service is good here I have only one big complaint that when ever I'm getting coins loads with is branch mostly $2 roll which is value on $50, I always find $2 less in some rolls. This is really annoying for be.
I have all my business accounts and personal banking with Scotiabank since 2012.
I have no idea how to get it fixed. Then I simply stop comming to this branch.
But after long time I visited this branch at the last week of August and have the same issue.

The tellers are fantastic, and are both friendly and extremely helpful. Sometimes the lines are a bit long, but I credit the tellers for trying to be both efficient and friendly (in other words, some of the customers should look behind at the line, and then ask themselves if they need to ask a series of questions which have answers clearly posted online).

Worst customer experience I have ever got from any bank! I would give 0 star if I could. I made an appointment few days prior because of my work schedule, I arrived 20mins early. After waiting 30 mins my financial advisor came and advised me shes late because they double booked her. After aprx another 30 mins I noticed a customer approach the teller and asked for a financial advisor and within 5mins once was available for them while I am still waiting for mine! Thank you Scotia Bank moving my mortgage to TD with a better rate anyways!

The worst service ever with Marin Mladen. We had an appointment and were waiting him for 30 minutes, however clerk told us that he would be late only for couple of minutes. We are customers of this bank for quit long time, however we are going to close our account as soon as possible.
Being honestly, I even did this branch as home branch because I was always very happy with the tellers there, except a young boy who gave me the wrong information for two times. But this time, it was completely an unacceptable service, especially if we had an appointment in advance.

Absolutely horrible bank and branch. Never enough tellers to deal with the line up and they keep talking among themselves and making small talk with customers even when there are 10+ people waiting in the line. Went in today to inquire about a mortgage and the person at the info counter was absolutely unbelievable. All I wanted was a rough estimate and I had all the numbers that would allow me to have a general sense of the loan I could get and this person was like, that's not how it works. Well, it's worked well at TD, RBC and BMO so not sure what the hell he is smoking. On top of that the person was quite rude and condescending. I have been a Scotia customer since 2005 and my wife's always been with TD. The level of service we get at TD and at BMO is far far superior. I hope someone looks into this. This occurred on 4/4/19 at 1: 30 PM.

THE WORST BRANCH IN THE GTA!
My whole family hates this branch due to the terrible (lack of) customer service, every teller here is lazy and incompetent. They all look miserable and hardly say hello, nevermind smile when a customer walks in. Whenever there is a concern or issue the manager is too "busy" to come out of their comfy office and show their face. Seriously considering changing to TD or another bank due to my most recent experience here.
