Went to this location to have my pin changed on my card.had the absolute displeasure of dealing with melody.even with giving her photo id, she couldn’t verify that it was me.lol.melody told me to call the number on the back of the card… wouldn’t replace my BANK card, in the BANK location, or help change the pin or activate the card.i called and the lady on the phone told me to go back to the location and she would talk to the teller because there’s 0 reason why she shouldn’t have been able to help me.clearly she needs a new job since she’s incapable of this one.i ended up going to a different location by conestoga mall and they dealt with all of it within 30 seconds.i will never use this location as long as USELESS melody works there. 0/5 stars if i could.

The Krug St. Location is probably one of the worst Scotiabank branches in Kitchener, I always have an issue with something or someone. Most recent me bringing in a cheque which is my employer for the last 3 years, I have asked they do no put a hold on them because I have been working with this company 3 years and have NEVER had a cheque bounce, I also have more than enough in my account to cover if it does. There is a note on my account, the teller whom I have had issues in the past with (hence why I avoid this branch) asks where my home branch is and that I need to go there to avoid holds but that she’ll do this for me this time. I work in multiple cities and when my employer gives me my cheque and I go to ANY Scotiabank and tell them I have a note on my account for these cheques specifically I get no issue but EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to Krug St. I am inundated with questions, they say its for my protection and security, well why is that I tell tellers at other locations to review my notes and have no issue. This person you have working there is what is causing bad customer service and the reason MOST people in Kitchener avoid this branch. Not to mention the hours are horrible and the staff is not friendly at all. Maybe there needs to be a bit of a shake up and replace some people making everyday banking difficult resulting in the inconvenience of me having to drive to a branch at least 10-15mins away when this one is 5mins from my house. Avoid Krug St. Branch and especially the lady who literally could have been the difference between paying bills and eating right before christmas.

Most incompetent employees I have witnessed in the history of customer service. The Caucasian lady in the front really needs to learn how to calculate properly and redo high school math. The new trainee understood my problem and explained it to her, but she kept arguing back to me and told me to put more money in my chequing account from my other bank account. I went to this branch the first time because I was in the neighbourhood. After arguing back and forth I realized I needed to get out. This interaction made me lose my brain cells, and after I went to my home branch, they fixed the same issue right away without asking stupid questions.

Have dealt with this branch for over 20 years and staff were wonderful. A change of staff and less staff now. Never answer emails and just a different bank so plan to move all my money.

Extremely bad bad service! Always make mistakes in spelling of personal details and personal document information. I went there 10 times to solve my issue regarding personal information.but still having same problem and Nobody take care of it.

Please Think 100 time’s before opening Or even going to this branch at Krug st. Very worst bank branch I have ever seen in my life. Staff over there makes lots of mistakes in spelling of personal details, Address and some other important documents as well. And even after going there more than 3 times to solve my issue, Still they are not able to solve it. And not taking any responsibility at all. Very unsatisfied with service and staff over there.

If I could give them a Zero I would. I'm looking to move banks and when I do, I will let every one of my followers and engage to warn people against this bank. Absolute zero customer service, just terrible experience.

Reduced their hours ok but didn't tell people just let you show up and deal with it and blamed it on covid 19 this doesn't let you treat people like this.

Have set up my teens' first accounts here and have had positive experiences each time. My daughter was having issues using her visa debit card online so we stopped in to get this sorted out. Matt went above and beyond to help us resolve this glitchy/strange issue. Such a cool and kind person and an asset to the branch for sure!

It is impossible to actually get in touch with anyone at this branch with the way that the phones are set up if you don't have an account number. I work at a nearby business and not only did we get short changed when we exchanged money for our float we now cant get in touch with the branch to inform them about the error before we send someone back. Also the hours are absurd, good luck to anyone who works 9-5.

It's not often I have to enter the branch for my banking but I had to today and the Krug St.location was on my route. The service was wonderful and so quick. Even without my bank card present. I bank with both TD and Scotia bank and I have to say, Scotia rises above the rest. Thank you!

I called in and asked to have my Cash Back rewards to go from my Visa Infinite to my Chequing account. The representative attempted to complete it and after 30 minutes said that they couldn't do it and I would have to go into a branch. I went into a branch and was assured my the manager of the branch at 501 Krug Street in Kitchener that she was able to change it no problem. I get home and log into my online banking and see that it is still going to my Visa Infinite. I call the branch directly, am put on hold for 25 minutes and then hung up on. I then drive back into the branch again and ask why it is still directing my Cash Back to my Visa Infinite and not my chequing account. The representatives behind the desk aren't sure how to do it and get the manager and the manager said that it is done but could take up to 24 hours to complete. It has been a couple of days now and it is still going to my Visa Infinite and not my chequing account. It seems like it would be a simple task but has now taken hours to complete and no progress has been made.

Tends to have shorter lines later in the day. Everyone is always very friendly. Slightly restricted hours but a great little neighbourhood location.

One of the very good branches of Scotia Bank. Requested for details of cheques and the staff immediately forwarded the request to the concerned department for the copy of cheques. The employee assured that it should not take more than maximum of five working days. Likely to get the documents today.

This Bank is the most inefficient bank that I have ever dealt with, their telephone banking is terrible, people are difficult to understand, rude. Questions are being asked repeatedly by different people during the same call, very frustrating! This Bank is loosing a good customer for sure, cannot stand incompetence.

Without my permission, they did a credit check on me a few years back. I have great credit, but they decided then to take away 1k on my Visa limit, leaving me with 1k available to use, just before I went on my honeymoon. After I saw they did a credit check without my permission, I brought it to their attention, and they apologized, and I made the personal banker contact Equifax to get them to remove the unauthorized credit check. Crazy that they can get away with doing that.

Since then, I haven't had any issues, until today.
I have a small business, and have had no issues for the last 6 years with depositing my cheques and having access to 100% of the funds. Today they decided that they're now putting my cheques on hold for 5 business days, and cannot give me a good answer as to why there is a change of service. I have EXCELLENT credit - my score is close to 800. Pathetic service. I am seriously contemplating completely switching banks, and taking all RRSPs with me.
