Don't waste your time with a senior financial advisor by the name of Maryam Paiz. She does not know her own product, and makes guesses, changed her answers about a simple question re: their own credit card product 3 times over a span of 5 minutes, what makes it better is in 2 more minutes she just hung up because I asked her if she was sure what she was telling me was true, especially after she just changed her answers twice.people are upset easily because they couldn't have known better and aren't happy you question them when they are guessing:)

That's some true ownership of work and great service you are doing to your clients, come to the meetings late, don't know your products, and hang up on customers. She truly is the star of the year and deserve to own the branch, if not some real promotion to appreciate her knowledge and skills.

Worst financial advisor in scotiabank - vaishnavi sethuraman
I applied for new credit card with her and my actual credit limit was 2000 but she told that you are eligible for only 1000$.

Branch manager should take a note of it.

Bunch of incompetent tellers!
Went in for information regarding a delayed wire transfer. They were rude and directed me to visit my home branch in London.

Update: I went to a different location downtown and surprisingly, they had access to the info I was looking for and also helped me contact someone from my home branch to get my issue sorted within 24hrs.

So if the tellers at this location wanted to help, they could have, but chose to be rude and unhelpful.

Google should have 0 stars. Scotiabank is one of the best banks but this branch has incompetent advisors and even worse financial manager.we spent over 2 weeks to get a POA done on account while dealing with -Vaishnavi Sethuraman (she/her) Financial Advisor and Mutual Funds Representative- she provided wrong information which contradicts what customer service line said.she then ignored our file while we emailed and called for 10 days.we eventually booked another appointment with another advisor and completed everything in 1 HR! The manager in the that department has even worse customer service! When we explained to him why we booked another appointment, he did not care about the issue and started making excuses for his advisor.the point is that the other advisor while struggled, she completed the request in one appointment. This branch needs a lot of attention from Scotiabank head office. I will be moving my file to another branch so that I don't have to deal with the incompetence of these employees.this is our money you're dealing with! Hire competent people!

Very unprofessional, rude attitude, worst experience.

Visited the branch regarding my approved line of credit and the teller was so NOT interested in helping us. The teller was extremely unprofessional that at one point she was just adjusting her bra in front us! ‍️
May be it was a hectic day, she was tired and may be she didn’t have an option to help us.anyhow there is a basic professional decorum every staff should maintain. Never going back to this branch.

Scotiabank was founded in 1831 in Halifax, Nova Scotia with £100G from royal assent. This time in history of this area did have some atrocious mischief. I'm sure I'll find some dirt. I know your other branches will not be amused for crossing me.

One of the worst bank to work with. They don’t have correct information about their own products. Call centre provides different information than what the bank representatives do. Still waiting for my credit card to arrive and there is no estimated date of arrival. Its been a month now and I was told 10 business days.

The worst ever experience
The staff here is not cooperative at all
Doest not know how to talk with customers
The finicial advisor Xiaoyue Sun, she is too rude and dont talk politely at all
Make us wait for 30 mins
Even after having appointment
And very bad at communicating the point
Dont know how she is advisor
When she really dont know how to communicate her point to customer
And later on around 20 mins
I came to know
I am not the only one who is not happy with her service
She talk to other customers like this way
I wish i could give 0 stars

One of the worst Branch, I went today to take some money from my line of credit, and the teller told me to call the number at the back of the card and asked them to put money in my card, I had 50k limit in my card and all was available, they even don't know the basic knowledge of banking, i left the branch and went to another branch, they did my job, I never go to this branch any more, awful teller, unprofessional teller, even they can not speak good English, very poor service, worst location, don't go there

I wanted to deposit a cheque of $810, instead they deposited $8100.lol

But I had to go there a couple of times for their mistakes.this is so sad! Worst experience with Scotiabank

Self righteous parking enforcement warrior in an unmarked white van claiming to own the building and the parking lot tells you to go park somewhere else. "This is private property! " he cries. Losing customers to a business in "his" building must be his past time.

A little predatory and price 'gougy'. Don't give you a lot of time from one mortgage to the next (10- days - and then they take a big pound of flesh). Done with these sharks. I'm going to take my skills to CIBC (along with 2 mortgages). They give 30 days and don't crush you for 10 large.

Branch manager and Vash coudnt fix my itrade account. Account just vanished with all money. Ive recorder audio of the manager being abusive. Never open any account with these people.

Just terrible service and they increased my mortgage breaking feee days before I was alerted them I was breaking it! Causing me to lose 55% more in fees within 48 hrs made my future endoeavours extremely stressful. Poor service

Best customer experience and advice I've gotten at any branch with any bank. Shana is exceptional at customer service and made my experience at the branch quick and painless while teaching me how to save money. Give her a raise she should be an advisor!

I have been a loyal client for Scotiabank for many years now but when I visited the Shepparad branch in northyork. I was astounded by the great service provided Mowlini umakanthan. She is very knowledgeable, professional and gives honest opinion about the products. All in all, 5/5 service. Kudos to Scotiabank for the great hire. If anyone interested to open an account Scotiabank is the best where they have great employees like Mowlini who goes extra mile providing great service. Cheers!

Absolutely the WORST branch to get a hold of a live person. I needed to contact my home branch to have an update done on my account. I no longer live in the area and did not want to make a trip into the city just in case I couldn't speak with someone in person. I left SEVERAL messages for the assistant manager to get back to me as well as the Scotia customer support team emailing her requesting a call back, I have yet to hear back from her, that was in the middle of February.
After reading all the other customer reviews and how low their overall rating is, I felt better knowing she didn't only ignore me, it was actually the entire branch that had a very poor attitude when it came to dealing with their customers.
It is very unfortunate that they don't take better care of our needs. It just makes for a very unpleasant experience. I was very upset because what I needed done would have taken literally 5 mins if that.
Because of this experience, I made an appointment with a branch closer to my home and I met with them over the past weekend and I am happy to say, not all Scotia banks have this type of poor attitude. My NEW home branch has a great attitude.
So happy that I have left that horrible place.p. S.they deserve a NEGATIVE 10 star rating

Hated the service. Today I went to close my account and the person helping me was using the cell phone and didn't pay much attention. Also she was closing someone else account and when i told her to match the information given she blame on me that I didn't update the information and after verifying again she was working on someone else account and didn't actually opened my account. Worst branch ever. They didn't respect their customers.

People beware! My friend has told me a very frustrating story about this Scotiabank branch. He told me this branch took more than $100 in an international money order transaction. The outrageous fee includes "commission" fee! I think this branch and whoever has an account with this branch is milking money out of people without disclosing the fee! Yet, their national office of Scotiabank would tell you that there is NO TRANSACTION FEE for such money order! This branch is definitely a fraud in development.

One of the Worst scotia bank. The front desk lady named Devi is very rude. She didn’t even know anything about the issue that we discussed with her instead she keeps on telling something else. The branch manager was free at that time and we asked her we want to meet with him but she said he was busy but the manager was sitting ideal doing nothing.
So please i advised never go to this branch for any issue and don’t go to this branch to open new account.

Worst Scotia Experience the lady on the front desk was so rude and didnt even asked for a seat and was using her phone constant and asked about a product she was saying random facts and when enquired she couldn't answer.

This branch manager is not professional. On july 23rd 2018 I booked an open business account appointment with Branch manager Pradhan Franklin for 10am July 24th 2018. I arrived the branch on the next morning at 10am. I asked for my appointment and waited for 20mins. Then a girl came to tell me that he does not have time to see me. He is in the branch but has other business. This is not acceptable for any type of business and I am very disappointed with the way Scotia bank do business with their clients.
